Tomorrow night is the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, I am super excited because this is an event where ladies bring full glam, rock and roll, and sass all into one red carpet. If there was ever a red carpet to take a risk on its this one right here.
Some of the people confirmed to attend/present/perform are Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Zoe Saldana. I have always loved seeing these ladies on the red carpet and I will no doubt not be disappointed tomorrow night either. Stay tuned for the Red Carpet Rundown coming next week!!!!
Taylor Swift is also a princess but has been making more mature choices. She has recently become a HUGE fan of my favorite designer, Elie Saab. So that is why I have chosen this Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown. I mean I dont think that I have ever seen an Elie Saab design on the red carpet of an MTV event, and Taylor would be the perfect person to bring the glamour that is Elie Saab to the event.
This look needs simple accessories like the silver Alexander McQueen clutch, Christian Louboutin pumps, and to top off the look Harry Winston earrings and a bracelet.
Selena is the latest Disney Princess to take the world by storm. She has started to mature and continues to look the part but in a more mature way. I have chosen this blue Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2011 cocktail dress. I think that this look is elegant yet sassy which is exactly what Selena Goes for.
I decided to pick some extremely complimentary accessories to this look by way of a Judith Leiber clutch with an amazing pattern, crystal encrusted Christian Louboutin peep-toe slingbacks and vintage earrings.
Hey Nicki, you always looks so fly on the RC weather your rocking Givenchy Couture or Mark Fast or Manish Arora. But for this I have given her this black Giles Fall 2011 RTW ensemble. I love the feather/hair/fur trim which I def think that Minaj could wear!!!
Now the top does a lot of talking but I know for sure that these Giuseppe Zanotti boots (first worn by Beyonce to perform at the 2010 Grammy Awards) would be just the perfect top to the perfect look for Nicki.
Rihanna does love to embrace bold prints and bold colors. This is why I picked this stunning L.A.M.B. Fall 2011 RTW. I think the Rhianna gives just enough diva for this and with curly hair I think this would be totally best dressed worthy on RiRi!!!!
To top off this look I paired it with taupe studded pointy toe pumps from Rihanna’s favorite shoe designer Christian Louboutin and some vintage jewels to complete the look.
Lady Gaga had sort of been toning down the crazy-ness of her life and been looking a whole lot more…how do I put this? NORMAL!!!! Alert the president and the world, because it just may end! I think that this pink confection is perfect for her as it has A LOT of drama and I think she should have like a white bob wig or something along those lines for this dress because I LOVE IT!!!!!
Ok so I looked through all the shoes in my massive shoe photo archive and the craziest that would match this dress were these pink Marc Jacobs ones with an inverted heel. I decided that she needed a shit ton on diamonds; all of the ones here are from Adler.
Lady Gaga is also opening the show and will most likely be performing her new single You and I. She has really been loving on Versace and Tom Ford lately and I already made a Versace wish. So I decided to do a wish from Tom Ford for the performance. You and I is more of a ballad so I could see her at her piano wearing this purple gown with the white bob wig and black shoes and I couldn’t find a pair that I liked but I imagine they will be extreme platforms.
Quirky Katy Perry loves herself some Georges Chakra!!! This is why I picked a gown from the Georges Chakra Spring 2011 Couture collection. The minute I saw the salmony color and the stripes and feathers I just knew that I wanted to see Katy in it.
The dress is such a statement that I just decided to pair it with black crystal embellished Prada sandals and a Bochic ring.
I freaking LOVE Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine!!! She always looks so amazing on the red carpet is things that many others would turn their noses up at and say why the hell would anyone wear that. I will admit that she has made me like more than a few thing that she has worn that I hated on the runway. For this even I choose to put Florence in one of her favorite designers Valentino. This gown is got this amazing 70s vibe from it and she rocks that style so often. I love the colors and I think that they would make the red tone of her hair just stand out!
To finish the look I added complimentary colors through a Kotur clutch, Nicholas Kirkwood sandals, Chopard earrings, and a Bulgari ring.
