2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival Jury Wish List: Sigourney Weaver

Film legend Sigourney Weaver will also be headed to Morocco for the 2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival where she will be acting as the head of the Short Film Jury. Sigourney knows how to work a red carpet and has relationships with brands such as Lanvin, Bottega Veneta, and Donna Karan. I hope to see lots from Sigourney on the red carpet during the festival and have a few wishes below for her.

First Up is this black Lanvin Resort 2012 draped suit, I love this for her because it is elegant and simple. To complete this look I would add a pair of red pumps and a statement ring. Look #2 is this pale watercolor pattern L’Wren Scott Spring 2012 dress, this look is elegant and it would look stunning on Sigourney. Pairing this look with a pair of either nude or gold sandals would make this ensemble amazing. I love Sigourney in blue and the final two looks are based in blue. The first is a Naeem Khan Resort 2012 dress that would be paired with silver peep toe pumps and the final is a Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW dress that I would pair with navy peep toe pumps.

Now for the gowns, continuing with the blue theme I am starting off with a royal blue and black Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 RTW gown, simple pair of matching strappy sandals and a matching clutch. The next is this grey Donna Karan Resort 2012 gown and to complete this look a crystal encrusted silver Judith Leiber clutch and grey sandals would make this look perfect. Here I have another wish from L’Wren Scott Spring 2012 RTW. Now this is a gown that I could see transcending the generation line and could be worn by someone young like Anne Hathaway or Amy Adams or someone older like Sigourney. This look would be paired with matching red clutch and peep toe pumps. And last but not least the final wish is again from Naeem Khan but this time from the Spring 2012 RTW collection. Silver clutch and pumps would complete this elegant ensemble.

2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival Jury Wish List: Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain has taken the film world by storm this year with premiering seven films. While doing this she has also taken the red carpet world by storm, she has worn every major designer. Now for Jessica it is hard to dress and I understand that as she is pale with a pink undertone to her skin and has fire red hair, so sometimes things just dont work. My wished for Jessica to wear during her time as a member to the feature film jury at the 2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival.

So these are for less formal appearances. One thing she should know that red looks amazing on redheads as does white and yellow. Hence why all of these looks are from those colors. The first look is from Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 RTW and I chose this ensemble because I love the lace detail on the top and the way it continues on to the skirt, this dress paired with red peep toe pumps would be perfect. The second look is a stunning simple white Moschino Spring 2012 RTW with a multicolored waistband, which to complete this look I would just add a pair of aqua peep toe pumps. Look #3 is a yellow classy look from Oscar de la Renta, I love to see a redhead wear yellow and Jessica has a few times in the past, to style this look I would pair the dress with a pair of gold strappy sandals. and the final look for the casual ensembles is this stunning Roland Mouret Spring 2012 RTW red dress with a white floral pattern and a black waistband, truthfully I want her to wear the runway shoes because I think that they would have the most impact.

Here are some suggestions for Jessica for the premieres of the films that she is going to be judging. The first is a gold heavily embellished Armani Prive Fall 2010 Couture. I decided to dig into Mr Armani’s archive for this wish because I love this collection and this is one gown that I always wondered why it was never worn and well I love Jessica in gold as it just suits her skin tone and hair color perfectly, to accessorize this look an up do and gold peep toe pumps would be perfect for this look. Up next is this goldenrod yellow Elie Saab Spring 2012 RTW gown that would again look spectacular against her coloring and paired with matching clutch and sandals the look would be sophisticated and stunning. Tom Ford created my next wish for his Fall 2011 RTW collection. I love this dress because it is almost couture level, to style this look I would pair it with a red clutch and black peep-toe pumps. And last but not least we have a wish from Zac Posen’s Spring 2012 RTW collection. I love this gown in fact is one of my favorite gowns from all of the Spring 2012 RTW collections. I love a redhead in a green dress be it pale or dark and that is why I want to see her in this, silver sandals would be the only thing that she needs to complete this stunning ensemble.

Gotham Independant Awards Wish List: Vera Farmiga

Vera Farmiga is nominated as a Breakthrough Director for her directorial debut for the film Higher Ground. I love it when celebrities become directors, Why? Because they are able to bring a higher level of dressing to the red carpet. So I have opted to give Vera this amazing Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 Couture dress. I would add a satin waistband and pink pumps to add a pop of color and a black box clutch to make this sophisticated look complete.

Grammy Award Nominations Concert Wish List

Jennifer Nettles of the country duo Sugarland is set to perform at the Grammy Nominations Concert. As she is just performing I have decided to style a look with items exclusively found at Net-A-Porter.Com. Jennifer is not a girly girl when she performs hence why I have put her in Burberry Britt Waxed Jeans in black, on top I have put a an embellished KaufmanFranco top with a Rick Owens leather jacket. To finish off this stunning ensemble I have chosen a pair of Miu Miu black and pink booties. I would recommend no jewelry with this look and her signature curly hair and she will look amazing during her performance.

The wonderfully quirky pop sensation Katy Perry is going to be among the performers at the 2011 Grammy Nominations Concert that will air live from Nokia Theater in LA on November 30th, 2011. I am almost certain that Katy will be performing her current single “The One That Got Away” which she performed acoustically wearing a Judy Jetson-esque pink gown at the 2011 American Music Awards. I figure Katy will make the next performance of this song the upbeat radio version that we all have come to know and love. So for this performance I wanted Katy to have a lot of drama but while still being able to move, step in Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture. Zuhair Murad has dress Katy on several occasions such as the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party and (insert other event here). So it is not that big of a stretch wishing that the quirky star wear this gown. To complete this stage style ensemble I would pair the gown with these amazing purple and gold Jimmy Choo Spring 2012 collection sandals. If Katy were to wear a pair of simple pumps then she would not be letting this dress live up to its true potential.

Lady Gaga is also going to take to the stage to perform for the Grammy Nominations Gala. The crazy singer will most likely perform her current single Marry The Night. For this performance I would like for Gaga to don this white embellished mullet dress for the performance. I think that this paired with her crazy hair/makeup/hat statement and then a pair of silver shoes would make this a perfect performance ensemble for the eccentric singer.

Another celebrity performing at the Grammy Nominations Live Concert is R&B sensation Rihanna. I know that all I have been wishing for RiRi has been Atelier Versace, well that is because I really do believe that she was in mind as most of this collection would look absolutely stunning of the Caribbean beauty from Barbados. If Rihanna is to perform her current hit single “We Found Love” then I believe this “I ❤ Versace” pop style cocktail dress would be a great choice in performance wear. The last time a celebrity wore an Atelier Versace dress to perform, (Beyonce at the 2010 Grammy Awards), said celebrity ended up winning best stage costume. Now I will let the cat out of the bag and say that one of Rihanna’s performance looks is the winner of that award this year, so far but who knows she may top herself or someone else may top her. Now to style this look completely I have paired it with a pair of blue strappy sandal boots courtesy of Brian Atwood’s Spring 2012 collection.

Golden Horse Film Awards Wish List

I love Asian red carpets! Why? Because most of the actresses, models, and singers like to make a splash in extravagant designer duds. So for the 2011 Golden Horse Film Awards I have chosen two of my favorite Asian Actresses on the red carpet to create wishes for, because who doesn’t need a little diversity in their lives?

Carina Lau is the first actress that I have a wish for. Carina looks amazing on the red carpet and favors designers such as Versace and Ferragamo. For this years Golden Horse Awards I want Carina to wear this Atelier Versace gown (see I told you Atelier Versace will no go away on this site). This paired with matching black sandals and a standout aqua clutch to complete this elegant ensemble. </div>

Asian film stars also LOVE Elie Saab and anyone who loves Elie is a friend in my book lol. Shu Qi wears a lot of different brands from Gucci and Stella McCartney to Elie, hence why I have chosen this amazing white Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown, silver sandals and a simple bracelet would be the perfect top to this super sweet ensemble.

Gotham Independant Awards Wish List: Stacy Keibler

Stacy Keibler will be at the Gotham Independent Awards as the arm candy of George Clooney. George who was single till he had a few movies to promote…hmmm….interesting….well Stacy has been wearing lots of designers from Versace to Maria Lucia Hohan which is getting tired. So I have chosen this fuchsia Marchesa Resort 2012 dress, I think that it makes the statement that I am just here to look pretty and I amount to nothing. So to finish this look matching pumps and Marchesa clutch would complete this elegant look.

Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade Wish List

I would like to let everyone know that all of the items from today’s wishes come from Net-A-Porter.Com

Avril Lavigne is one of the few major celebrity performers that will be on a float in this years Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. So to keep with Avril’s punk style I have chosen a plaid hemed coat from McQ by Alexander McQueen coat (Sold Out), well because it is going to be cold in New York City as it is November. I would add the plaid shirt from Etoile by Isabelle Marant and black waxed jeans from Levis, Elizabeth and James combat boots, and a Missoni scarf.

I guess Debbie Mazar will be one of the celebrities that they interview in the crowd as the parade passes by about her family Thanksgiving traditions. So I think that she will look amazing as she always does in her 10940’s-esque style. To achieve this I have paired a red Issa coat with a black lace Yves St Laurent dress, Valentino bow back boots, and red and leopard print Agent Provocateur gloves to complete this elegant look.

Mary J Blige is also the other big musical performer that is set to take to a float this Thanksgiving Day in New York City. Mary is a HUGE Fan of Gucci which is why I have given her this amazing Gucci belted shearing coat as the main focus of this look. To keep the focus on the coat and on Mary I just paired this with a beige McQ by Alexander McQueen sweater, camel Citizens of Humanity jeans, and nude Reed Krakoff boots. The only thing I think that Mary will add to this look is a pair of sunglasses.

Gotham Independent Awards Wish List: Michelle Williams

I feel that when Michelle Williams steps onto the red carpet she brings absolutely nothing to the table, in fact I feel she breaths no life into anything that she wears. I am going to make this plea to her, honey girl you need to go out and find yourself a talented group of energetic gay men who dance around to Lady Gaga and sing showtunes to help make you look a little but more, now how do I put it…ALIVE!!! So if I was her energetic style gay I would choose this Valentino Spring 2012 RTW dress because as we all know the road to success is full of baby steps. Now this dress is something that Michelle would wear right now to any event, but she would do so with ugly and heavy black accessories. I would give her a metallic gold clutch and pumps as well as a giant gold and diamond cocktail ring. But she needs a I’m genuinely happy to be here smile and impeccable posture to pull this look off and not look like its just another dress that she wore.
