‘OZ: The Great and Powerful’ London Premiere Wish List

The dress that Michelle Williams wore for the LA Premiere of ‘OZ: The Great and Powerful’ was interesting wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t amazing. For the London premiere of this film I would love to see her wear this white Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture dress with slights hints of baby pink. I think that this dress is something that Michelle would gravitate to and I think that this would look stunning on her. To complete this look add a silver clutch and a pair of silver sandals, and she will look absolutely fabulous.

Mila Kunis tends to look fabulous and lately she has been wowing me even more than she has before. I think that for the London premiere of ‘OZ: The Great and Powerful’ I would love to see her in this deep green Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a draped detail on one hip. A key piece of this look although would have to be keeping the thin gold belt to keep her waist defined. Complete the look with a gold clutch and black cage sandals and Mila will once again wow me on the red carpet at this premiere!

Rachel Weisz has been giving a more edgy looks to go with the persona of her wicked witch character in ‘OZ: The Great and Powerful.’ For the London premiere I would love to see Rachel wear this amazing Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2013 black cocktail dress with sexy side cut-outs. Finish the look with a dazzling crystal embellished clutch and some black pumps.

2013 Academy Awards: Guests Wish List

The looming possibility of seeing Berenice Bejo redeem her Oscars red carpet misstep last year at this years awards show has me extremely excited. The French actress is married to last years Best Director winner Michel Hazanavicius who will be on hand tonight as a presenter. I think that this stunning brown embellished Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown would be perfect for Berenice who really came into her own on the red carpet as the Mistress of Ceremonies at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and I would love to see a dramatic return to the American red carpet in this gown. Finish with a bronze clutch, bronze sandals, and some simple Chopard diamonds and Berenice will do exactly what I am hoping she will.

Jennifer Garner has been along for the ride with her husband Ben Affleck, who was surprisingly snubbed for a Best Director nomination, all awards season. She is definitely on her way to winning Best Plus One due to her amazing efforts this year so far. For tonight’s awards show I think that selecting this navy blue Zac Posen Spring 2013 RTW gown would be the best choice for the actress who is attending as a supporter but also as a presenter for the event. A silver and black patterned Leiber clutch, black sandals, and a pair of statement earrings would make this look sing simple and elegant ensemble.

Norah Jones has a song nominated for Best Original Song and she is going to be on hand tonight to perform the song. For the red carpet I think that this black velvet Tadashi Shoji Fall 2013 RTW gown with a loose top. I think that this 30’s inspired gown would look stunning on Norah. A small pair of gold earrings, a drop pendant gold necklace, a pair of black pumps, and Norah’s signature hairstyle keep this look simple yet dramatic.

Scarlett Johanson is a performer of a song that is nominated and while she has not been announced as a performer I do not see why she wouldn’t be on hand tonight. As a face of Dolce & Gabbana I am actually getting tired of her wearing the standard lace gowns that they seem to push out without a thought. For the red carpet of this event I would love to see ScarJo wear this stunning beaded gold strapless Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown. A few years ago Scarlett wore a gold Elie Saab gown for an awards show but I thin that this gown would just shine like no other. Finish the look with a gold metallic clutch, gold sandals, and some amazing diamond jewels will make this a look that I will fall out of my chair over.

Stacy Keibler will be playing the arm candy roll yet again tonight I am sure as the plus one of George Clooney. George is nominated as one of the producers of ‘Argo’ which is the film that is the favorite to take home the Best Picture award tonight. I think that as a plus one this raspberry beaded Elie Saab Spring 2013 RTW gown would be the most amazing option for Stacy to pick. Since she has started working with Brad Goreski as her stylist she has has quite a few stunning red carpet moments and I am hoping to see another tonight. Finish this look with a pair of silver sandals and stunning statement earrings and a cuff bracelet and Stacy will sparkle like no other.

2013 Academy Awards: Presenter Wish List Part 3

 One look stood between Jane Fonda winning the Best 50+ Award during the 2012 End of the Year Style Awards over Meryl Streep. Jane has already started the year off in amazing fashion and is well on her way to winning the award this year. I think that this Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture midnight blue sequin gown would be perfect for the actress who will be on hand tomorrow night at the Academy Awards as a presenter. I would of course have this gown made much more modest for the 75 year old actress but only by a little because she still likes to show off her skin and perky body. A matching clutch, peep toe pumps, and amazing Chopard diamond and sapphire jewelery will complete this Oscars ready look

 Jennifer Aniston is not someone that I pine to see on the red carpet because it is usually a black or white Valentino, Dior, Chanel, or Vivienne Westwood standard leather or jersey dress. Well I am not going to stray from the black and Chanel but I think that this Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 French empire chiffon gown would be a simple elegant choice for the star. Another problem that I usually have with a Jennifer Aniston red carpet look is that she always has the same hairstyle. If I was her stylist I would make her wear her hair the same way it was styled on the runway. A simple black clutch, a pair of Christian Louboutin black sandals, and simple Chanel diamond jewelery would complete this look for Jenn.

 Jennifer Hudson will be performing ‘And I Am Telling You’ from the movie ‘Dreamgirls’ which won her a Best Supporting Actress during the academy’s modern musical tribute. For the red carpet I would love to see her wear this black and silver beaded Tony Ward Spring 2013 Couture ball gown. On Jennifer the only thing that I am not a fan of, the sheer yoke, would not be as offensive as it was on the runway. Finish the look with a black Judith Leiber clutch, black crystal encrusted Christian Louboutin sandals, and some amazing statement jewels.

 On Thursday I got a press release email from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announcing Kerry Washington as a presenter. I had basically solidified this post but when I read these words I ran back to my laptop and started to rework this post. Kerry is one of the amazing ladies that I love to see on the red carpet. I describe this blueberry Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 RTW as a mix of 1980’s volume, 1940’s Hollywood glamour, with a touch of modernism. Not many women would be able to pull of such a bold gown on a red carpet but I believe that Kerry is among the few that would be able to wear this gown and make it on the best dressed lists. Finish this look with a purple Edie Parker clutch, dyed to match Charlotte Olympia pumps, a pair of amazing gold and yellow diamond statement earrings, and a yellow diamond bracelet.

Kristen Stewart has been wearing a lot of sheer looks lately exposing bras and panties and for the 2013 Academy Awards where she will be presenting this is just not acceptable. Kristen would look glamorously covered in this this black crushed velvet J. Mendel Fall 2013 RTW gown. I think that this gown would give an old Hollywood vibe. A loose up do would be a perfect. A black Judith Leiber clutch, a pair of sandals, and some amazing statement earrings would be an absolutely stunning mixture.

 

2013 Academy Awards: Performers Stagewear Wish List

Adele will be on hand Sunday night to perform at the 2013 Academy Awards her Best Original Song Award nominated song ‘Skyfall’ from the latest James Bond flick with the same title. I can just see her standing center stage in front of a microphone stand wearing the black Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 RTW ruched dress with a gold belt. I think that this would be stunning on the talented star who will probably pick up her own little gold man because of the film. A pair of black pumps and her signature 60’s beehive hair and I am sure I will fawn over this look.

The legendary Academy Award winning songstress Barbara Streisand will be on hand at the 2013 Academy Awards to perform, according to the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts, and Sciences. The only place where I feel like she would fit in would be during the In Memoriam  performing one of her it ballads like ‘Memory’ from ‘Cats’ or ‘Somewhere’ from ‘West Side Story.’ For a performance during this section of the show I think that this black free flowing Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown with sheer beaded panels would be perfect for Barbara. She loves to show a little skin and if she at 70 years old is still comfortable with that then I say let her go on with her bad self.

Norah Jones will be on hand Sunday to perform her Best Original Song nominated number ‘Everyone Needs A Best Friend’ from the comedy film ‘TED.’ The song has a very big band feeling. I can see her standing in the center of the stage with the orchestra right behind her. She would of course be wearing this green Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 RTW tea length dress to help with the old Hollywood feel. Marcel waves and black pumps would be the perfect compliment for this performance ensemble.

Scarlett Johanson has been yet to be announced but several of the performers of Best Original Song nominee songs have been announced and since ScarJo is one of the performers on the nominated song ‘Before My Time’ I am hoping that she will be there to perform. Since Scarlett is once of the faces of Dolce & Gabbana I found it only appropriate to put her in a Dolce & Gabbana gown for one of her looks for the event (the red carpet wish will come on Sunday.) This black lace and satin Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 RTW with a classic Dolce mermaid silhouette would again be perfect for Scarlett for a performance on the Oscar stage. Finish this with some amazing dazzling diamond jewels and a pair of black peep toe pumps and she will be ready to take the Oscar stage by storm.

2013 Academy Awards: Presenter Wish List Part 2

Amanda Seyfried will be attending this years nominated not only supporting her Best Picture nominated film ‘Les Miserables’ but will perform in the ‘Celebration of Musicals of the Last Decade’ which will be a special feature during the show highlighting Oscar nominated musicals ‘Chicago,’ ‘Dreamgirls’ and “Les Miserables’ with musical performances from each of these films by their original cast members. I would love to see her wear this smoke grey and black Armani Prive Spring 2013 Couture ball gown. Amanda usually looks her best when she is wearing darker ensembles and I think that this gown would look amazing on her. Just some simple jewelry and silver grey satin pumps would make this look perfect.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been announced as one of the presenters at this years awards as well as a performer in the Musicals tribute and I am actually really excited what she has in store for the red carpet. I am not entirely sure if she will wow me but I am trying to hold out hope. If she wears Monique Lhuillier or Elie Saab I think I would be pleasantly surprised at how she looks. I think that if she were to wear this malachite green gown that she would look exceptionally stunning and it would be a grand surprise as you don’t see many printed gowns at the Oscars. Gold accessories would be the perfect compliment to this look.

Nicole Kidman has been having a lot of fun with fashion since she started prepping for her role as Grace Kelly in her latest project. Well for the 2013 Academy Awards I would love to see her wear this midnight and electric blue gown from the Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture collection. I think that Nicole is one of the few statuesque beauties who has the height required to pull off this gown. Finish with a blue clutch, the blue sandals, and some stunning jewelery.

If there is one person that I am really not looking forward to seeing on the red carpet it is Rene Zellweger. I personally do not think that she is pretty at all and she is almost 100% of the time wearing a Carolina Herrera gown. For the 2013 Academy Awards I am predicting that Rene will wear this black Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 RTW gown with sequined sleeves. This with statement earrings, a black clutch, and black pumps are what I am expecting her to wear.

Sandra Bullock has really undergone a red carpet transformation since the year she won her Oscar for ‘The Blind Side.’ For this years Academy Awards, where Sandy will be one of the presenters, I would LOVE to see her wear this stunning coral Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown. I did a consensus of my friends and they did not see it so try to envision it the way I am about to describe it. First she has to wear her hair in a tight slick high pony tail. Then pair this with a gold clutch and a pair of gold sandals and I think that this would become a wonderful red carpet moment.

2013 Academy Awards: Presenter Wish List Part 1

Last week I posted a wish list wanting Anne Hathaway to wear a stunning green Zac Posen ballgown. Well this was before anything Oscar red carpet worthy had come down the runways in New York during fashion week. Well two days after this wish list posted this stunning red Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW gown with gold embroidery walked the runway and I knew that I had to amend my wish for Anne saying I would love to see this gown on her. I am begging for extreme drama from Anne at the Academy Awards as she is the one that is going to take home the Best Supporting Actress statue that night. Just a simple fringe hairstyle and gold satin pumps would be perfect accessories for this amazing ensemble.

I have never featured this stunning black and white Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture ball gown on the blog, the reason is I have never had someone that could pull it off. A year ago when Charlize Theron had tumbling rolling locks but now that she has a short shaved edgy hair I think she mow has the look to pull off this gown. This gown is one of the stunning ball gowns that were presented last January that sadly almost all have not been worn and this makes me very sad. This gown paired with some stunning Chopard diamond and sapphire earrings and simple black peep toe pumps would be all that is needed to complete this stunning ensemble.

When I saw the Reem Acra Fall 2013 RTW collection I fell in love with this stunning white and black gown. I NEED to see this gown at the Oscars or at an Oscar party. While Emma Stone has not been announced as a presenter for the 2013 Academy Awards she was on hand last month to help this years host Seth McFarlane announce all the nominations, so I believe it is a safe bet that she will be at the prestigious awards ceremony. Emma + this stunning gown would make my jaw drop and shoot her on to best dressed lists internationally. An old Hollywood hairstyle, black peep toe Christian Louboutin pumps, and a bold pink lip would only add to the magic of this winning combination.

Halle Berry is another announced presenter, probably to repay for having to pull out of last years ceremony due to breaking her foot. Well I think that the star that usually takes her red carpet dress too far would look stunning in this blue Naeem Khan Fall 2013 RTW art deco gown. Halle tends to do really sexy on the red carpet and I just don’t see how Halle’s through and through style can mix with the Academy Awards but I think that this Naeem Khan gown is the perfect mix. Finish with a pair of black Jimmy Choo sandals and simple art deco diamond jewelry and I think Halle has a winning look on her hands.

Kelly Rowland will not be presenting during the actual telecast of the 2013 Academy Awards but she will be on hand as a host of the official red carpet pre-show. Kelly was one of the best dressed at the 2013 Grammy Awards wearing an edgy illusion cutout Georges Chakra couture gown but for this event I am choosing to put her in something a little more glam less edge. I think that this Basil Soda Spring 2013 Couture would be the perfect gown to let Kelly look absolutely stunning but reserved while conducting her red carpet interviews.

One that I am really looking forward to seeing on the red carpet is Reese Witherspoon. She has a classic elegant style that usually wow’s when she attends these major red carpet events. I think that this deep purple Zac Posen Fall 2013 RTW draped gown would be the most amazing option for her for this event. The rich color would look amazing on her light tanned skin with a her classic blonde hair. The old Hollywood glamour should continue with a wavy fuax bob. Simple jewels, a jewel encrusted black Leiber clutch, and black sandals would also assist in keeping this a classic old Hollywood glam red carpet look.

2013 Independent Spirit Awards Wish List Part 2

At last years Independent Spirit Awards Jessica Chastain wore the equivalent of an Armani Prive stewardess suit. I was extremely disappointed in her decision so I am hoping to see her redeem herself on this red carpet. To help her do so I have picked this elegant Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture black tulle cocktail dress with orange, yellow, lime, and cobalt embellishments. This dress would obviously have to be lined for the red carpet. A simple pair of gold sandals would be an amazing accent to this statement making dress.

During New York Fashion Week Marchesa launched their Fall 2013 RTW collection and there are a lot of beautiful gowns (you will get your first taste tomorrow) but there were no simple looks for a more casual event. I am highly disappointed that I have not seen more of the Marchesa Spring 2013 RTW collection on the red carpet and I think that Naomi Watts would look stunning in this burnt orange dress. I LOVE this dress and I think that Naomi is one of the few that could make this dress work and I really don’t want to see it end up in the Marchesa archive forever. A gold box clutch and gold sandals would be the perfect accessories for this stunning creation.

Every year Olivia Wilde attends the Independent Spirit Awards wearing a floral print maxi dress and even though I have come to expect it, she always looks stunning. For this years awards I would love to see her wear this creation from the Ralph Lauren Spring 2013 RTW collection. I think that this would look amazing on Olivia the coloring and cut are great for her body. Finisht his look with a metallic gold clutch, black sandals, and some layered gold necklaces and I think that Olivia would have another casual elegant gown look.

Zoe Saldana was on hand in December to announce the nominations for the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards, and the ladies who announce the nominees always attend the event. There has been something off about Zoe’s red carpet style lately as she hasn’t wowed me in a very long time. I am hoping that Saturday night she will break the trend and wow me wearing this canary yellow Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture dress. There are not many ladies out there that have the confidence needed to successfully pull off this dress. I am obsessed with seeing Zoe wear many looks from this collection as her name was written all over several of the looks (hence this is the third different look from this collection that I want to see her wear). Some gold strappy sandals and a gold metallic clutch are the perfect accessories for this amazing dress.
