Diane Kruger is a Chanel Couture front row regular and I am hoping to see her take a seat at the Grand Palais on July 8th. Rarely does Diane take to the red carpet and I not love what she is wearing and I think that her donning this Chanel Resort 2015 floral dress and sweater ensemble would be yet another that I would be able to fall in love with. Not many people could pull off this ensemble from head to toe but I think that Diane is amongst those that could. A gold Chanel clutch and a pair of nude Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandals would complete this front row ready look.
Emilia Clarke has not sat front row at a Chanel show as of yet which is very surprising since it was Chanel that brought her into the fashion limelight. If Emilia were to fly to Paris to attend the Chanel Fall 2014 Couture presentation on July 8th I would love to see her ewar this white Chanel Spring 2014 Couture floral embroidered cocktail ensemble. I figure that this is a cropped blouse over a strapless cocktail dress. Whether or not Emilia wears the cropped blouse or just wears the strapless dress underneath I would love to see this ensemble on her. A white classic Chanel quilted chain strap shoulder bag and a pair of silver pumps would make for the perfect front row moment.
Only two celebrities have worn ensembles from the Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture collection, Sarah Jessica Parker and Tilda Swinton. Tilda has actually worn two looks one an off the runway look for her Berlin International Film Festival premiere of “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and then a custom cocktail dress for the LA Film Festival premiere of “Snowpiercer.” This would make Tilda a perfect person to sit front row at the sophomore collection for the Schiaparelli revival house. I would pick that finale “bride” look for Tilda to sit perched front row. The cream pant suit with embellished palm on the lower half of the jacket. I would figure that Tilda will wear the runway’s flat sandals and I would have Tilda work a red lip and her signature edgy hairstyle to finish off this ensemble.
Berenice Bejo wore a stunning, yet event inappropriate, Giambattista Valli red ensemble for the 2014 Golden Globes and then really disappointed me in simple black Alexis Mabille at the Cannes Film Festival (she really should have swapped those gowns). With that said I would love to see Berenice seated front row at the Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture presentation on July 7th. This white dress embellished with 3-d red florals would be a perfect option for the occasion. I would pull Mrs Bejo’s hair up into a sleek bun, give her a red lip, and a pair of red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals to ensure that she is a bright spot on the front row of this couture show.
Diane Kruger hosted a dinner recently with Giambattista Valli and MyTheresa.com in her honor. I am hoping that after a few red carpet appearances this year that Diane will take to the front row at the Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture presentation next month. I would pick this wine/burgundy Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 RTW long sleeved mini dress for Diane to wear for this occasion. This is a fun sexy yet sophisticated dress. Diane had a few missteps on the red carpet trail but as of recently I am loving absolutely everything that she is wearing again. I would love to see Diane support her friend and brilliant fashion designer as she loves to wear his designs on the red carpet. A pair of gold sandals and simple hair would finish this look perfectly for the front row.
Jessica Biel has the ultimate friendship with Giambattista Valli, he custom designed the attire for her wedding, but she has never (to my knowledge) sat front row at one of his shows. This comes as a huge shock to me as I always think that some of Jessica’s best looks come courtesy of his creations, so when his Fall 2014 Couture show comes around I am praying that Jessica will show up and grace the front row. This red and pink Giambattista Valli Resort 2015 georgette wide sleeve dress that features a high round neck, a cape-style blouson bodice with ruched elastic cuffs and a full skirt with embroidered lip trim at the waist. This is a pretty look and I think Jessica would rock the hell out of it with pin straight locks, a light pink lip, and a pair of red Casadei ‘Blade’ pointed toe pumps for a perfect Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week front row ensemble.
And my last wish to see seated front row at the Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture presentation during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is Lupita Nyong’o. Lupita has worn 3 looks from Giambattista so far this year and each one has been stunning and I cant wait to see many more looks from the two going forward so I would love to see Lupita start her 2015 Awards Season gown search seated front row at this presentation. I would pick one of the stunning mini dresses that has not been worn as of late from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture collection. This black dress with mint draped hit detail and apple green and gold embellishments would look stunning on Lupita. I would pair this look with a pair of black platform sandals to give Lupita just a little extra height and Lupita will rock this front row like a true fashionista, which she already is.
On July 7th the glamouratti will descend upon Paris for Fall 2014 Haute Couture Fashion Week and one of the must see shows with all the the hottest celebrities is bound to be Christian Dior Couture. Surprisingly we have not seen as much Dior on the red carpets so far this year, but then again we are only just under half way done. I am hoping that all the Dior spokesmodels all take to the front row this season and honestly most, not all, have been knocking it out of the park recently. Charlize Theron has been a Dior spokesmodel for the longest being the continuous face of the J’Adore Dior fragrance. Aside from her bland black lace Dior Resort 2015 cocktail dress as the “A Million Ways to Die in the West” LA premiere every outing in Dior that Charlize has given has been a Best Dressed of the Year worthy look. I think that this asymmetrical Christian Dior Resort 2015 cocktail dress that is made up of three contrasting prints. Only few ladies could pull off this look and Charlize is defiantly one of them. A pair of green pumps and a red lip is all I would add to this look to make it front row ready.
Recently, as in all of her Dior looks this year except her Golden Globes dress, Jennifer Lawrence has been knocking it out of the fashion ballpark yet again. I think she and her stylist, whom I believe is still Rachel Zoe, have finally learned that sportier styles are what suits Jennifer the most. With another installment of “The Hunger Games” series premiering this Fall and possibly the search for film festival/awards season starting I am expecting to see that the 23 year old face of “Miss Dior” handbags sitting front row judging possible red carpet ensembles. I would pick this Christian Dior Resort 2015 two tiered dress which features a floral brocade and striped silk. I think that this is the perfect look for JLaw to rock for the front row. A pair of white pumps and one of the handbags that she represents in white would finish off this look perfectly.
Marion Cotillard, once the biggest champion of Christian Dior, has fallen from her queen’s throne into dispair. I think that she wants to break free and wear much edgier designs that those that come from the classic house and her attempts at making them edgy have made her fall flat. She needs to be like other spokesmodels and rock the Dior when she wants to be pretty and other brands when she wants to be edgy. This white Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture mini dress with a white cut out over skirt would be an elegant and pretty choice for Marion to make if she sits front row like she usually does. Marion can be very attached to wearing head to toe runway looks from Dior but in all actuality I can not stand the ugly clodhoppers that Raf Simons paired with this beautiful dress, so for Marion I will keep Christian Dior shoes but recommend that she pick a pair of metallic silver pointed toe cage pumps from the Christian Dior Spring 2014 RTW collection to add an edgy yet ladylike statement to this dress. I really hope Marion starts to wow me again and this look might just help that case.
Earlier this year Michelle Dockery wow’d in a simple Christian Dior sheath dress with the much loved broken glass metallic brocade print at the “Non-Stop” LA Premiere. With such a beautiful look under her belt I would love to see the “Downton Abby” star seated front row amongst the spokesmodels. I would pick this black Christian Dior Fall 2014 RTW sheath dress with an off the shoulder, side lace up, and embroidered details. This is a sporty take on lady like dressing both of which Michelle can pull off. I would finish this look with a red lip and red pumps to ensure that spokesmodels do not outshine Michelle.
Coming off the release of her Vogue cover, where she of course wore Prada, Lupita Nyong’o will take to the red carpet at the BET Awards on June 29th. I would love to see the stunning actress, who has rarely had a misstep on the red carpet since she came on to the scene, wearing this black and white Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 ensemble with a long sleeved top and high waisted shorts. This is a breezy more casual cocktail ensemble perfect for the BET Awards where big stars show up in cocktail dresses and reality stars go way overboard. I would bring a pop of color to Lupita’s red carpet ensemble via a pair of bright metallic blue pumps and a red lip, while toning down her favored blue eye shadow for the night. Should she take my advice she would be well on her way to a Best Dressed Award for her first BET Awards appearance.
Nicki Minaj is nominated for Best Hip-Hop Artist and will be performing come the BET Awards Sunday night. This year we have seen Nicki not just tone down her signature theatrics but be almost downright boring on the red carpet, despite her choices of all Alexander McQueen gowns so far this year. I don’t think that this will slow down anytime soon and since I can’t see her wearing anymore of the all remaining 3 gowns from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 commercial collection I figure she will just have to venture into the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2014. I pick this black long sleeve Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2014 gown with a plunging neckline and lace inserts for Nicki to wear on the red carpet. Black pumps, simple jewels, and a red lip would finish this look off perfectly for the awards show on Sunday night.
After her #FreeTheNipple statement at the CFDA Awards I figure we will see a more toned down Rihanna come the BET Awards Sunday night. RiRi is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and I am really hoping that she rocks the red carpet. This relaxed Balenciaga Resort 2015 ensemble with a white top and black slouchy pants would look stunning on Rihanna who has been rocking black island waves in messy up-dos lately. I would keep this look really simple with just a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps, an edgy diamond earcuff, and a very simple diamond bracelet. A red lip would finish the look off perfectly giving Rihanna a relaxed look perfect for the BET Awards.
