2014 Emmy Awards: E! Live From The Red Carpet Hosts Wish List

With the Emmy Awards just around the corner we all know that the E! team will make it to the red carpet. Giuliana Rancic actually won a Daytime Emmy for being the Fan Favorite Host for E! News. I am expecting to see her go all out for the Primetime Emmy Awards. I would love to see G wear this white Basil Soda Fall 2014 RTW one shoulder peplum gown. I love Giuliana in white and I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this gown. A dazzling pair of diamond drop earrings and a pair of silver sandals will finish this gown off perfectly for the red carpet hostess for the Emmy Awards.
Kelly Osbourne has never been one of my favorites on the red carpet she is either too offbeat for my tastes or her hair clashes with her ensemble. The hair will most likely be the case come the Emmy Awards next month. To minimize the clash of the lavender hair I picked this silver metallic Tony Ward Fall 2014 RTW gown with a ball skirt and embellished top for Kelly to wear for the 2014 Emmy Awards. This is a high impact look that I think I would love even with the my little pony hair color. A simple pair of diamond earrings and a pair of silver sandals would finish this look off  perfectly with a simple lip color.

2014 Young Hollywood Awards Wish List Part 1

Allison Williams is nominated for Fan Favorite Female Actor at the Young Hollywood Awards that will take place on July 28th. With so much going on in the upcoming month and a half I decided to start these wishes early. The “Girls” star favors girlie grown up styles with a hint of edge. This electric blue Dion Lee Resort 2015 draped cocktail dress would be a perfect choice for the 26 year old actress to make for this red carpet. As one of the older stars, yes 26 is old for this red carpet, I figure Allison will bring the sophistication as we are bound to see many colorful mini dresses on the red carpet. I would pair this dress with a pair of silver sandals to give it a fun shoe and have Allison opt to go clutch-less for the night to complete this red carpet ensemble.
30 year old Aubrey Plaza is nominated at the Young Hollywood Awards on July 28th in the “Cuz You’re Funny” category. Pitted against some very funny company. For this awards show I would love to see Aubrey wear this black and red Proenza Schouler Resort 2015 aline cocktail dress. The print and the sporty style of this dress make it perfect for a young Hollywood party. A red Rawoulf clutch and a pair of simple black sandals would give Aubrey the perfect ensembles to fit right on in with all of the young twenty somethings and teenie boppers that will be in attendance.
Bella Thorne is one of those teenie boppers I was talking about. At 16, Bella fits the bill of Young Hollywood. Nominated for the “You’re So Fancy” and “#SocialMediaSuperstar” awards at the Young Hollywood Awards later this month, there is no doubting that Bella will be in attendance. Having worked a Versace Pre-Fall 2014 dress to the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year I would like to see what else Bella and Versace could to together. That is why I looked to the Versace Fall 2014 RTW collection and picked this teal draped mini dress embellished with six gold Medusa head buttons. I think that this is sexy yet age appropriate for the star who would most likely ad gold pumps to not make it look like she is trying to be older than she is.
And last but not least for today we have Chloe Grace Moretz. Despite being seated front row at the Armani Prive Fall 2014 Couture presentation earlier this week, which defiantely showcased quite a few looks perfect for young Hollywood, I am going to pick something from Valentino for the budding fashionista. Also nominate for “Fan Favorite Female Actor” the 17 year old would look stunning in this Valentino Resort 2015 multi colored lace striped mini dress. This striped look is one of the biggest trends that came out of the Resort 2015 collections and I am really excited becuase I love seeing patterns on the red carpet. A pair of simple Stuart Weizmann ‘Nudist’ sandals and a pink clutch would finish this look off perfectly for the young starlet for the Young Hollywood Awards.

2014 ESPY Awards Wish List

Of all the sports stars in the world we are most likely to see Maria Sharapova take to a red carpet, and end up on the best dressed list. I don’t know if its the model stature and tone that she has instead of bulging muscles but Maria is a great rack for clothing. One of her go to brands is J. Mendel and for the past two year Maria has chosen a look from the designer for the ESPY Awards red carpet. If she decided to make it a three-peat I would pick this teal J. Mendel Fall 2014 RTW one shouldered chiffon gown that feautres ruched details and a slashed cutout on her chest. A gold clutch, a pair of gold sandals, and a pair of statement gold drop earrings would finish this look off perfectly.
Serena Williams is 98% of the time a slight or disastrous miss when it comes to the red carpet. I am hoping that come the ESPY Awards next Wednesday night that Serena will give me a stunning look. Unlike Maria, Serena tries to hard sometimes to stray away from the sportier ensembles and tries to give uber girlie ensembles on the red carpet. These are the ones that fail to elicit any type of positive response. I want to see Serena make the best dressed list next week, so I have picked this sherbert multi colored Juan Carlos Obando Resort 2015 sleek gown. The colors are bold yet soft and the silhouette is perfect for Serena’s very muscly frame. I would finish this look with a pair of navy sandals and a navy clutch to keep the focus all on the stunning gown.

Runway Report: Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture

Monet’s Midnight Stroll. That is the title that Georges Hobeika gave his Fall 2014 Couture presentation that he presented yesterday. Within the collection nature blossoms, just like in Monet’s paintings, but instead of oil and canvas the luminous fabrics in dark blue, red, peacock blue, cream, maroon served as the art form that presented itself. Romance, sensuality, femininity, grace, and delicacy are all ideas that were manipulated into becoming this most glamorous collection. I have been following Georges Hobeika for years now and gone are the days of flowing plain girly days and here are the dramatic elegant regal looks that are almost new to the house. It’s like the Georges Hobeika girl grew up before my eyes and I am staring right into the soul of a beautiful strong woman.

Runway Report: Chanel Fall 2014 Couture

“Le Corbusier goes to Versailles.” The great god of mid-century minimalism let loose in the shrine of gorgeous, gilded excess. Today at the Grand Palais creative director of Chanel Karl Largerfeld showcased his Fall 2014 Couture collection for the house. Showcasing a wide variety of ensembles, 70 to be exact, starting with coats and tweed suits that are the staples of the house (and what will most likely be the biggest sellers) and finishing with stunning avant garde cocktail and evening gowns. A bustling number of stunning potential red carpets moments walked the runway today and I can not wait to see who will be the first to snatch up the collection. The front row was jam packed with celebrities; amongst them Kristen Stewart, Jared Leto, Lily Collins, Dakota Johnson, Poppy Delevingne, Alice Dellal, Zhou Xun, Nina Dobrev, Isabelle Huppart, and Baz Lhurmann.

"Sex Tape" LA Premiere Wish List

Cameron Diaz has been working the red carpets this year first promoting “The Other Woman” and now starting to promote “Sex Tape.” I am excited to see what Cameron will wear for the LA premiere of the film on Thursday evening, especially after her unexpected white one shouldered Roland Mouret cocktail dress at the films Berlin premiere. I would pick this red Alexander McQueen Resort 2015 leather cocktail dress with laser cut floral details on the skirt. This is a sexy and fun look that is kinda out of Cameron’s norm but still checks a lot of her norms. Mini skirt to show off her toned legs? Check! Modest top? Check! Leather? Check. Not many starlets can pull off a leather dress but Cameron is one of the few who I believe can. Finish the look with a simple pair of red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, her famous blonde locks pulled back, a red lip, and a gold clutch and Cameron would have the perfect red carpet look for this premiere.

Runway Report: Alexis Mabille Fall 2014 Couture

Alexis Mabille is always a light spot on the day. You know exactly what you are going to get when you see his collection. Classic glamour. This season was no different. Luxurious gowns, a couple structured cocktail dresses, and perfectly tailored separates made this the ultimate collection. But to be honest all of the staples of a great wardrobe were addressed in this collection and it would be the ultimate couture closet.

Runway Report: Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture

After a few seasons presenting a collection of mini dresses with a finale filled gowns Giambattista Valli went back to the roots that made him a star. Volume. Lots and lots of volume. Floral embellishments and updated classic silhouettes. The uber chic woman that is the Giambattista Valli client is now ready to take on Paris in a brand new light. She will have lunch in the chicest of cafes, dinner in the glitziest of restaurants, and finish the night taking in the opera wearing one of the stunning gowns. Black and white played stark to the lilac, ice blue, yellows, and pinks that gave a more spring time color palate than fall but will undoubtedly well embraced on red carpets around the world far past the Spring 2014 Couture presentations.

Runway Report: Christian Dior Fall 2014 Couture

Raf Simons showed what were like 8 mini collections inside his Fall 2014 Couture collection for Christian Dior. Opening with eight modern takes on 18th century royal court dressing, Marie Antoinette hips for days in gowns or cocktail dresses that it will be quite the difficult for the normal woman to make work off the runway. I can only picture the likes of Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman, Diane Kruger, and Zhang Ziyi being able to pull off those stunning creations. Then the collection moved into ten couture cosmonaut ensembles that ranged from couture coveralls to zipped dresses and coat dresses. Duster coats in fur and wool paired with simple pants followed the cosmonaut ensembles. Sixties inspired minis, twenties flapper influenced gowns, and more coats finished off the collection. Its going to make picking gowns for Jennifer Lawrence come the fall film season and awards season very difficult.

Runway Report: Schiaparelli Fall 2014 Couture

Following the inaugural Schiaparelli collection designed by Marco Zanini only two celebrities were brave enough to take on the very avant garde collection Tilda Swinton and Sarah Jessica Parker. While the sophomore collection from the designer was just as avant garde, maybe even more, but there were still some amazing gowns that I am praying to the fashion gods make it to the red carpet. Zanini went back to the houses glory days in the 1940’s for his inspiration. Sending models in a Shocking Pink room down a leopard print runway in exaggerated forties shoulders, lots of fur, hand painted prints, elegantly draped fabrics, and manipulated structured silhouettes which Zanini called “Controlled Excess.” I hope a bevy of a-list Hollywood beauties get their hands on this collection for the film festival season this fall.
