"Big Eyes" London Premiere Wish List

Amy Adams is going to be working the red carpets through Awards Season not only as a presenter but possibly as a nominee for her latest film, Tim Burton’s “Big Eyes.” I am hoping that Amy kills the 2015 awards season just as she did during this years. To kick start her campaign I would love to see Amy wear this stunning raspberry Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture floral embellished tea length long sleeved silk organza cocktail dress. This is a classic style that Amy would look absolutely stunning wearing. A pair of gold sandals and a soft low updo would finish this look off perfectly.

"American Sniper" LA Premiere Wish List

Sienna Miller basically only exclusively wears British designers on the red carpet and I love that fact. For the Los Angeles premiere of “American Sniper,” which has been generating some Oscar buzz, I would love to see Sienna wear this Christopher Kane Spring 2015 RTW black scoop neck tulle cocktail dress with a dropped waist and A-line skirt with allover rope-inspired embroidery. This is modern and vintage and sexy all rolled into one avant garde ensemble. A pair of burgundy sandals and a black Edie Parker clutch would finish this look off perfectly for a major red carpet premiere.

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" London Premiere Wish List

On December 1 the final installment of the Hobbit trilogy, “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” will premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. Cate Blanchett was ravishing during the first films promo tour and non-existent during the seconds. I am praying a short prayer to the fashion gods that Cate will take to the red carpet during the world premiere. I would choose this electric blue Lanvin Spring 2015 RTW silk column gown with matching leather belt as it is simple yet bold and impactful. The simple silhouette of this gown would look fantastic on Cate and the color would be a delightful treat against Cate’s pale icey skin. A pair of silver pumps and some statement Chopard earrings would just further along a stunning red carpet ensemble.
Evangeline Lilly doesn’t pop up much on the red carpet, in fact the last time we saw her on the red carpet was when the last Hobbit film premiered. Mrs Lilly prefers to keep her red carpet offerings simplistic and masculine with slight feminine touches. That is why I picked this silver Houghton Spring 2015 RTW cap sleeve gown. I think that the structured bodice mixed with the soft embellishments would make this a red carpet look perfect for Evangeline Lilly. Hair worn down in an edgy look, simplistic makeup, and a pair of silver sandals would finish off this perfect look for Evangeline and the “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” London premiere.

"Annie" New York Premiere Wish List

Cameron Diaz is not one of my favorites to see on the red carpet. I usually find her very plain, unless she is presenting at a major awards show. I am hoping that when the new, modern take, on the classic Broadway sensation “Annie” premieres in New York City (date and time to be announced) that Cameron will shed the meh red carpet looks that she favors and the dirty styles of her character Miss Hannigan in favor of something more glamorous. This is why I have picked this Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture strapless silk satin jumpsuit in color blocked ivory and ice blue. This is a modern and sexy yet glamorous and chic ensemble would elevate Cameron on the red carpet several notches than was presented in her “The Other Woman” and “Sex Tape” promo tours this year. A pair of white sandals and a pair of statement diamond drop earrings would be the perfect accessories to keep this look simple. Finish the look with curled hair worn slightly teased and full and a bright pink lip to make sure that the hair and make-up do not let the rest of the look down, as is usually a case with Cameron.
Rose Byrne also stars in this remake of “Annie” as the iconic secretary Grace. I have long been a fan of Rose and her red carpet styles. She knows how to make the right impact at the right time and I expect none the less from her at the “Annie” premiere. This cornflower blue double silk georgette gown from Elie Saab Spring 2015 RTW that is detailed a with fitted bodice with contoured lace inserts, an A-line skirt, and a full length cape creating a dramatic look would make quite the impact on the red carpet. A pair of the matching cornflower blue Elie Saab Spring 2015 RTW strappy sandals that the gown was paired with on the runway, a vintage inspired faux bob, and a red lip finish off what would be a stunning red carpet ensemble for rose for the “Annie” premiere.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" New York Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence looked very elegant at the London premiere of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” in a custom Christian Dior gown. As the face of the brand I figure that she will wear Dior for almost all of the major red carpets, New York included. I decided to go back to Raf Simons first collection for the house and pick this blue handkerchief blouse and black silk tailored pant ensemble from the Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture collection. I was not a fan of the Christian Dior Fall 2014 Couture collection and it doesn’t seem to be getting much love off the runway either so I am sure that Jennifer will choose archive or custom for all of her premieres as none of the looks from Fall 2014 suited her. I think that this pant ensemble is perfect for New York where the premiere is a lot more laid back than London or LA. I would just add a pair of statement, possibly embellished, non-Dior pointed to pumps, and a red lip to finish off this perfect red carpet look for JLaw.
Elizabeth Banks will undoubtedly blow me away again on the red carpet at the “Mockingjay Part 1” premiere in New York. After winning the London premiere red carpet in Elie Saab Couture and a beautiful Saint Laurent gown at the Berlin premiere the actress is certainly on a run and I am excited to see what she will bring to LA and New York to come. This stunning Marchesa Spring 2015 RTW halter gown that features a column silhouette with a floral jacquard construction flecked with gold metallic, a rosette at the neckline and gathering at the waist and would look amazing on Elizabeth who knows how to werk the red carpet and shut it down. A simple gold clutch and a pair of gold sandals are the perfect accessories to make this look red carpet perfect. Hair pulled back, to show off the neck detail, and a pink lip will just ensure that Elizabeth shuts down this red carpet like usual.
At the London premiere of “Mockingjay Part 1” Jena Malone showed off a lot of her personality on the red carpet but I was not a huge fan of her Emilia Wickstead gown. I hope that we will continue to see her over the top personality but in clothes that I fall out of my chair for. I picked this white Elie Saab Spring 2015 (*Typo in the photo*) RTW stretch cady jumpsuit which melds masculine and feminine with its floral lace inserts and creased slim pant. This covered up jumpsuit still screams sexy which proves that you do not have to give it all away for a sexy ensemble. I would pair this look with a pair of white Christian Louboutin pumps and a gold and white Edie Parker clutch, slicked back hair and a red lip to ensure that this look is perfectly accessorized for the New York red carpet.
Julianne Moore has been blowing through all of her favorite red carpet brands and I am just waiting for the big Lanvin and Tom Ford moments of this promo tour. I figure that Julianne will wear a custom Tom Ford at the LA premiere which saves Lanvin for NYC. I picked this Lanvin Spring 2015 RTW cocktail that mixes black tulle, navy neoprene, black metallic silk lurex, and gold silk lame in a sporty color blocked package. The modern edginess of this sporty look is what I think will make it a perfect red carpet moment for a more casual premiere like is usually the case in New York. A gold box clutch, a pair of gold Tom Ford pointed toe python pumps, a red lip, and a slick sporty updo will finish the look the way it should to ensure that Julianne has another red carpet win.
