Suicide Squad is the last of the summer blockbusters to hit the big screen. I am really excited for this film and the promo tour that will precede it. The film really has an all star cast, which will make for some major fashion moments. The film will kick off its premieres in NYC on Monday August 1, 2016. Supermodel-cum-actress Cara Delevinge will bring her flavor to the big screen in the roll of June Moore/Enchantress. Cara has some edgy style and usually is only seen wearing the top brands like Chanel, Balmain, Versace, and Givenchy. I decided to pick something completely different for her with this Georges Chakra Fall 2016 Couture ensemble which features a white tuxedo jacket with a gorgeous train and a pair of black cigarette pants. Georges Chakra is not usually a label I think of when I think of Cara but this look specifically really screams her name for me. Its the mix of masculinity and femininity, done in the chicest and most elegant way that would make this a major red carpet moment. Adding an edgy updo, smokey eye, black sandals, a statement diamond necklace, removing the runways gloves, and a red lip would put this as one of Cara’s best red carpet looks. 
Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t actually in Suicide Squad, but Will is and Jada always is by his side when he is promoting a film. Usually Jada delivers the most dramatic looks, even when the focus isn’t supposed to be on her. With some of the other members of this cast it is going to be tough so I went with something more subtly impact making. This black Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2016 RTW ‘Evelyn’ striped pailette gown which features a sheath silhouette, deep v-neck, front split, and beaded trim would be perfect for Jada. This gown is hyper sexy but still glamorous which is something that Jada looks for in her red carpet looks. I would imagine Jada would style this look with a sleek updo, red lip, black Christian Louboutin sandals, black clutch, and a pair of diamond drop earrings. 
Jared Leto is bring his charismatic charm to Suicide Squad in the role of The Joker. Jared is the first person since Heath Ledger to play the Iconic character on the big screen. I am really excited for Jared because he is not afraid to take risks and have fun with menswear. Most of this year Jared has worn Gucci on the red carpet and I am sure that he will don the brand at least once over the course of the films promo tour I am hoping that he doesn’t exclusively wear the label. When I was watching the Balmain Spring 2017 Menswear show (while waiting in line at the deli counter in Wal-Mart lol) I saw this vibrant beaded blazer and my mind first said “oooooo I want that in my closet” and then “Jared Leto needs to wear that on the red carpet. I would love to see Jared pairing this bold jacket with a black button down shirt, black slim fit pants, a skinny black tie, and black patent leather Christian Louboutin shoes all make for this to be a great red carpet moment for Jared. 
Margot Robbie has been making a lot of rounds recently with promoting The Legend of Tarzan. As that promo tour has come to a close now her tour for Suicide Squad, in which she plays Harley Quinn, is about to begin. Margot can be love or loathe to me and I am hoping that with this tour that she is firmly in the love column. This body-con lemon yellow Mugler Resort 2017 column gown which features a v-neck, side split, and white trimmed stomach cutouts would be a wow moment on Margot on the red carpet at the Suicide Squad NYC premiere. Sometime Margot can go for over complicated looks and I think that this simplistic, athletic look would be absolutely gorgeous and elegant on the red carpet. A pair of gold sandals, a pink lip, and sleek ponytail would ensure that Margot really kills this look on the red carpet. 
Rounding out this set of wishes is for Viola Davis who is playing Amanda Waller in the film. I am not sure that Viola will make the rounds promoting this movie but if she does I hope she will in high style. I picked this blood orange Jenny Packham Resort 2017 column gown which features sheer chiffon sleeves, cutouts, and embellished trim. This is something that Viola would look gorgeous wearing on the red carpet and wearing something that is a little different than what we normally used to seeing her wearing on the red carpet. A pair of dyed to match sandals, a gunmetal grey clutch, smokey eye, glossy lip, and wavy bob would ensure that Viola really owns the red carpet amongst some of the biggest heavy hitters in the red carpet universe.
The 2016 Venice Film Festival is set to be a star studded event, and will kick off in exactly one month on August 31, 2016. As with most festivals the first group of people we see are the members of the feature film jury. This year I am excited that English actress Gemma Arterton is on the Jury. I have long been a fan of Gemma’s style so I can’t wait to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet over the course of this years festival. For her first appearance at the Jury Photocall I would most love to see Gemma wearing this black Lanvin Resort 2017 chiffon gown which features an a-line skirt and peasant sleeves. I am super in love with this Lanvin collection so you will be seeing it a lot until it’s all been worn. I think that this is a perfect look to wear for a photocall, not too casual and not too dressy. Elevating this look with a pair of quirky and fun Charlotte Olympia ‘London Calling’ sandals (to add a fun nod to her heritage) and a chic bob with loose curls would be perfection. During Venice stars are often seen riding their water taxis on their way to their destinations so adding a pair of red cat eye sunglasses for that part would really ensure that Gemma kills this look for every sighting of this look.
