21 of the Best Red Carpet Looks from the 2017 Cannes Film Festival

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival came to a close yesterday and I am already feeling a drought of glamour. I went into this years festival with the expectations that it was going to be the best year yet, and I was not disappointed. It seemed like everyone brought their absolute best to the red carpets at the Palais de Festivals and the accompanying parties that went along with the premieres of this years edition. I was a little disappointed that we did not see more of stellar style stars and jury members Jessica Chastain and Fan Bingbing, but they still brought it to the red carpet. Usually I just do a best dressed list that features just 10 looks but after considering almost 300 looks over the course of the 14 days of this years festival for my best dressed list I could only narrow it down to just 21.  1) Aishwarya Rai in Ralph & Russo Spring 2017 Couture: I knew the second that I saw Aishwarya step onto the side of the red carpet before walking up the famous steps of the Palais that this was going to be the top of my best of Cannes list. I had a gut feeling that Aishwarya was going to snatch this look up, it was on my wish list for her, and she definitely did not let me down. Everything about this look was total perfection there wasn’t a hair out of place. This was Aishwarya embodying the red dress dancing lady emoji perfectly.  2) Nicole Kidman in Calvin Klein by Appointment: Nicole was one of the MVP’s of this years festivals. We saw Nicole attend 5 photocalls, 3 premieres, the 70th Anniversary celebration, and the amfAR Gala. Over the course of the festival Nicole wore nine different looks and there wasn’t a misstep with any of them. My favorite of all of her looks was the edgy black and white Calvin Klein by Appointment ballerina gown that she wore for the premiere of her film The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The moment I saw this gown on Nicole I was immediately drawn to the Rudi Gernreich meets Audrey Hepburn appeal of the gown. I never in a million years would have thought of this gown for Nicole, but it was an absolutely major moment that I am sure will stick with me through the year.

3) Diane Kruger in Christian Dior Couture: I was expecting three looks from Diane at this years festival, but all in all she delivered six gorgeous looks this year. My favorite of all of them was the custom Christian Dior Couture gown that Diane wore for the festivals 70th Anniversary celebration. Having served on a jury in the past and having a film in competition Diane flew into Cannes early just to partake in the celebration. This fairy queen smokey lilac gown which features celestial embroidery was one of the few Dior gowns that I really loved over the course of the festival. I think that had anyone else worn this like Diane did infusing a bit of 90’s glam rocker grunge to the look that I would have hated it, but she make it work.

4) Fan Bingbing in Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture: It was going to be a hard reach for Fan Bingbing to make this years best of Cannes list. I had really high expectations for the gorgeous Chinese actress, who is usually one of my favorites, but she played a more subtle role this year as a member of the jury. While none of her looks would have made a worst dressed list they just didn’t really live up to the expectations that I had set for Fan to bring to the red carpet this year. It was her last look in this gorgeous steel blue Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture at the festivals Closing Ceremony yesterday that finally made me say WOW. I figured that after no one wore this gown to the Met Gala that it was going to be left in the Atelier Versace archives, but Fan brought her glam mermaid to the red carpet and blew me away. Thank you for that.  5) Aishwarya Rai in Michael Cinco Fall 2017 Couture: There are only a few stars who find themselves featured on this list twice and Aishwarya was one. I was so blown away with all of the looks that Aishwarya wore over the course of the festival that I couldn’t not feature more than one on this years best of Cannes list. At the Okja premiere Aishwayra stepped onto the red carpet at the Palais wearing the most Cinderella like gown that I think we have ever seen on a red carpet. This ice blue Michael Cinco Fall 2017 Couture gown really was a bold and dramatic fairy tale moment that took my breath away. It took a team of fluffers to help Aishwarya climb the steps into the Palais, and she was un-phased by any of it. Icon.

6) Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture: I think we are starting to see a trend. When it comes to her L’Orealista appearances at the Cannes Film Festival there are two labels that Julianne Moore keeps returning to, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. While I cannot say that there has ever been any real magic of Julianne in Vuitton when it comes to her choices from Givenchy they are almost always home runs. This year Julianne wore a custom red Givenchy Couture gown which featured intricate embroidery and feather details for the festivals Opening Ceremony. I love that this was a bold, edgy statement when most went for traditional glamour instead.

7) Tilda Swinton in Chanel Fall 2017 RTW: Tilda had several looks on the Cannes red carpets while promoting her latest film Okja at the festival, but it was at the 70th Anniversary celebration that I got the look that I fell most in love with. This black sequined Chanel Fall 2017 RTW jumpsuit was different on a red carpet that was dominated by Christian Dior, Armani Prive, and Louis Vuitton. This is the type of look that Tilda excels at wearing on the red carpet, feminine yet masculine and full of sharp elegance. We did not see too many women in pants on this years Cannes red carpets, but Tilda really showed us that androgyny can be beautiful. With her signature pouf and a red lip Tilda commanded attention on the red carpet. 8) Araya A. Hargate in Ralph & Russo Couture: Over the course of her time at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival we saw Thai actress Araya A. Hargate set out to redefine maternity style and by golly she did just that. I was always looking forward to seeing what Araya was going to wear on the red carpet next. She did not let her burgeoning baby bump take away from any of the looks that she wore. Out of all of all of her looks it was the Ralph & Russo Couture ensemble that Araya wore for the Opening Ceremony that I was most wowed by. Araya took a feathered cape from the Ralph & Russo Spring 2017 Couture collection and paired it with a simple strapless column gown from the labels Fall 2016 Couture collection. Wearing all white on the red carpet can come across as bridal, but it was more regal vibes that I got from Araya than bride.

9) Jessica Chastain in Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture: Like Fan Bingbing I had really high expectations for Jessica Chastain as a jury member for this years Cannes Film Festival and I have to say that Jessica was more successful than Fan. It seemed that at least every other day Jessica was stepping out for a premiere and she definitely took risks. At the Closing Ceremony yesterday Jessica definitely brought my favorite look of hers from the festival. If you had told me that it was going to be Zuhair Murad that I picked as my favorite look from Jessica I probably would have laughed at you, but this white Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture cap sleeve gown which features red scroll embellishments on the bodice was amazing. On the runway this gown was presented in black and some have said that they wish Jessica had worn the runway version, but I think that the black wouldn’t have stood out like the white did among all the black suits that were on the red carpet. There wasn’t a hair out of place, perfect makeup, and the diamonds complimented this look perfectly.

10) Sonam Kapoor in Elie Saab Couture: I don’t know what it was about this year but I think that after the bar she set last year and the bar that fellow Bollywood starlet Aishwarya Rai set that I was a bit underwhelmed by Sonam Kapoor on the Cannes red carpets this year. Last year we saw Sonam wear all Ralph & Russo Couture gowns during her time at Cannes and this year she turned to another of her favorite designers with Elie Saab. While she didn’t live up to the drama that I thought that she was going to bring to the red carpet this year I was still very impressed with everything that Sonam wore. Her for her first appearance Sonam wore a beautiful custom light pink Elie Saab Couture cape sleeve gown which seemed to liked to a beautiful sari inspired design. I love that while she wore French haute couture that the design still paid a tribute to traditional Indian styling. 11) Elle Fanning in Vivienne Westwood Couture: 2017 was Elle’s second time at Cannes and her first as a L’Orealista and I have to say that she was another of the festivals MVP’s. I lost count of how many gorgeous looks that Elle wore over the course of the festival. Elle and her glam squad call themselves #TeamUnicorn and that was the inspiration behind the gorgeous custom Vivienne Westwood Couture gown that Elle wore for the Opening Ceremony of the festival. The classic white corseted gown was made all that more fantastical with a unicorn inspired hand painted train. Had the the gown not have had the detail on the train it would have been way to bridal for my tastes, but the graffiti just elevated the look to my favorite of Elle’s festival ensembles. It was also the look where her hair and makeup was 100% on point.

12) Rihanna in Christian Dior Couture: Now I know that many will not agree with me putting Rihanna in her custom Christian Dior Couture ensemble at the Okja premiere on this list, but there isn’t a single person who I would actually like this look on except for Rihanna. I don’t usually get on board with seeing sunglasses on a red carpet, especially a black tie red carpet, but Rihanna paired her ensemble with a pair of Andy Wolf sunnies that perfectly complimented the look. While the gown and opera coat were very classic Dior it was the sunnies and Rihanna’s attitude that made this look so cool. Rihanna walked the red carpet at the Palais as a guest of Chopard since she unveiled her Rihanna Loves Chopard high jewelry collection at this years festival.

13) Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace: Un Certain Regard jury president Uma Thurman was very up and down over the course of this years festival, but she closed the festival in a gorgeous custom gold beaded fringe Atelier Versace gown that moved soooooooooo amazingly. Despite it being incredibly similar to a Michael Kors gown that we saw both Nicole Kidman and Kim Ok-Vin wear during the festival. I think that Uma wore the beaded fringe the best and it was such a sexy yet glamorous moment that I fell in love. 14) Lara Stone in Balmain: I knew that with the news that there would be a Balmain x L’Oreal Paris collaboration that we were bound to see some model L’Orealista’s wearing the label on the red carpet. It was just one single day where all the model L’Orealista’s joined Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousting at the premiere of The Beguiled wearing custom gowns from the label. I was really surprised that for the premiere that there wasn’t a single Balmain look that I didn’t not love, now the party was very different. Lara Stone was my favorite of all the Balmain Army ladies wearing a gorgeous custom black gown inspired by details from the Balmain Fall 2017 RTW collection. The modern gown with a beaded bodice and a feathered skirt and train was goth glam at its best and Lara’s dark makeup and tucked back locks just made this look really come to life on the red carpet.

15) Monica Bellucci in Christian Dior Couture: I had low expectations for Monica Bellucci as she held the duties of Mistress of Ceremonies at this years Cannes Film Festival. I seemed to have underestimated just what the gorgeous Italian model was preparing to bring to Cannes this year. There wasn’t a single look that Monica wore over the course of this years festival that I didn’t like. It was this regal black and blue portrait neckline custom Christian Dior Couture tulle gown that I really fell in love with. I think it was because I was expecting black lace Dolce & Gabbana gowns from Monica the whole festival that this look made such an impact for me. While I definitely got very fatigued by sheer gowns over the course of the festival this year this gown did sheer in a very subtly and sultry way instead of in your face and overtly sexy.

16) Jasmine Sanders in Ulyana Sergeenko Couture: This year supermodel Jasmine Sanders made her Cannes Film Festival debut at the premiere of The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The model who’s Instagram and Twitter handle is @golden_barbie definitely lived up to that wearing a very chic boudoir inspired navy custom Ulyana Sergeenko Couture gown on the red carpet. I was taken with the confidence that Jasmine exuded on the red carpet that really sold this gown to me. Had this been a sheer robe over a bodysuit I would have written this look off, but the fact that Jasmine went the more subtle and sultry route to sexy and overt sex I was very intrigued. It was the perfect hair and makeup and that statement Bulgari necklace that really made this one of my favorite looks of this years festival. 17) Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Fall 2015 Couture: I noticed that as I have written this best of Cannes list that all my favorite looks came from just a few of the events that took place over the course of this years festival. The Okja premiere was one of the best dressed red carpets of the festival. After taking a few days of laying low Jessica made her first premiere red carpet after the opening ceremony at the Okja premiere. Jessica dug into the Givenchy archive to pull out this lilac fringe skirt Givenchy Fall 2015 Couture gown and I am so happy to finally see this gown on a red carpet. On the runway the gown was a light pink, but I really think that the lilac was the better choice for Jessica to wear on the red carpet at Cannes.

18) Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture: Anything goes at Cannes and that includes wearing couture before noon. Nicole went that route when she stepped out on the balcony at the Palais for the photocall for The Killing of a Sacred Deer wearing this fantastical Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture full skirted cocktail dress with thin straps. This gown on the runway reminded me of one of the trolls from Frozen but Nicole really made it work. I love that she really turned this very visual and detailed couture midi gown on the red carpet into a breezy and light look for the daytime event. Rounding the look out with metallic green Dior sandals, loose waves, and a pink lip really made this look absolutely beautiful.

19) Li Yuchun in custom Gucci: I said earlier in reference to Sonam Kapoor that I loved that she took her custom designer gown and referenced traditional Indian dress, paying a beautiful homage to her homeland. The same was the feeling I had with the custom Gucci gown that Li Yuchun wore for the Okja premiere. The gown was inspired with the iconic cheongsam but was made very Gucci through the multicolored beaded tiger heads. Li has always been one of my favorites to see during Cannes and I like that this year she delivered us this very chic gown when most of the time we see her in edgy pants designs on the red carpet. 20) Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace: Uma Thurman started the Cannes Film Festival the same way she finished it, wearing a custom Atelier Versace gown. Uma was late the the party for the Opening Ceremony but she was able to stop a few times so that the photogs could get some great shots of her gorgeous custom Atelier Versace gown. Uma’s gown was a modified version of one of my favorite gowns from the Atelier Versace Fall 2016 Couture collection and white I do wish that someone had worn the runway version Uma glowed in total glamour on the red carpet.

21) Marion Cotillard in Armani Prive: Rounding out this years best of Cannes list is the beautiful Marion Cotillard. I was shocked and surprised that Marion didn’t wear a single Dior look over the course of the festival this year. The rumor has it that Marion and Dior have parted ways and I have to say that I am really excited to see what the French beauty will do when not under the reigns of her Dior contract. At her core Marion has always been edgier than her Dior contract would allow. It was a perfect fit under Galliano, up and down under Raf Simons, and I just don’t see it being magic under the bohemian glamour of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior. My favorite of Marion’s looks at this years festival was this edgy glam custom Armani Prive navy, crystal covered column gown which features a dramatic neckline. What I love about this look is the confidence that Marion exuded. I love that she went high glam with the Chopard diamond collar necklace and edgy with the silver studded Alexander Wang PVC sandals. I cannot wait to see what the future will hold for Marion now that she is purportedly free of the confines of Dior.

Well that is a wrap on all things Cannes for 2017. I have had such a great time covering the festival over the last month and I am already looking forward to next year. The stars have really set the bar high for next year and I am hoping that the festival just continues to get more and more glamorous. Who was your best dressed at this years festival? Leave a comment on who you loved.

Cannes 2017: Un Certain Regard Closing Ceremony Red Carpet Wish List

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is nearing its end. This year has been one of the best in recent history and I am really excited to see what we are going to see brought to the red carpet in the final day. I hope that we continue to see the glamour that we have seen closing out the festival with as strong of red carpet looks as the ones that graced the red carpets at the start of the festival. The Un Certain Regard section of the festival will hold its closing ceremony on Saturday ahead of the official closing of the festival on Sunday. We have seen Uma Thurman, the president of the Un Certain Regard jury, deliver a bunch of very up and down looks over the course of the festival. I am hoping that the rest of the festival is smooth sailing.  Uma Thurman has proven she loves feathers with the embellishment adorning two of her custom gowns over the course of the festival. Sadly I was only interested in one of those two looks. I went back to feathers for my wish for Uma to wear for the closing ceremony of the Un Certain Regard selection on Saturday. I think that Uma would look so elegant and statuesque wearing this nude Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2016 Couture sequin embellished column gown which features a feathered one shoulder neckline. We have seen a lot of Francesco Scognamiglio on the red carpet during Cannes and there are still a few gowns from the labels Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 Couture collection that I want to see on the red carpet and Uma is one who I really think could make this gown come to life on the red carpet. I would have the skirt lined for Uma, just because I am getting really done with seeing sheer skirts on the red carpet. Rounding out the look to perfection with a pair of metallic nude sandals, simple diamond drop earrings, a sleek updo, lined eye, and a pink lip will make this a beautiful bookend to Uma’s time at the festival.

The Closing Ceremony of the Un Certain Regard selection will take place on Saturday May 27, 2017 and the 2017 Cannes Film Festival will close on Sunday May 28, 2017.

Cannes 2017: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 5

Tomorrow is the 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala and I am really excited to see what all the stars are going to being to the red carpet. The amfAR Gala is a huge ticket to get and we are expecting a lot of really beautiful gowns on the red carpet.  To date, this spectacular, star-studded event has raised more than $190 million for amfAR’s life-saving research programs and has helped keep the fight against AIDS in the global media spotlight. Tomorrow they are set to raise that bar even higher.  Chanel Iman is one that we usually see on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala ahead of the big runway show during the gala that is curated by Carine Roitfeld. Tomorrow we will see a slew of 40 models descend upon the red carpet at the gala before heading inside to walk in Carine’s golden age of Hollywood themed fashion show. I would bet that Chanel will be there and that she will deliver something absolutely beautiful on the red carpet if she is attending. I would love to see Chanel step onto the red carpet wearing this bold purple Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture one sleeved gown which features beautiful drapery and a beautiful beaded lace on the neckline and sleeves. This gown is a very bold yet glamorous statement and I think that Chanel would really deliver it as an absolutely major moment. A loose wavy bob, smokey eye, nude lip, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of silver sandals would finish this look perfectly. I have read that today is Elle Fanning’s last day in Cannes with the premiere of her film The Beguiled. If this is the case I am sad because I was hoping that Elle, who has been in Cannes since the opening a week ago, would stick around for one more night to attend the amfAR gala tomorrow. I have been really impressed with all of the looks that Elle has worn during her time at Cannes and I really do wish that she will stick around for tomorrow. If she does I went with the darkest of all the looks that she would have worn for Cannes this year. I do think that Elle would be one of the few who could take this black Balenciaga Fall 2017 RTW strapless mermaid gown which features a bow peplum at the waist, a sweetheart neckline, and a rise and fall hemline. I have wanted to see this gown on a red carpet and I do think that Elle would deliver it as this sort of soft punk glam look on the red carpet. With a sleek low bun, kohl rimmed eye, statement necklace, and a pair of simple black sandals I know that this would be another major moment for Elle to wear on the red carpet at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala.I issued a missing persons alert for international jury member Fan Bingbing who has been laying extremely low during this years festival. I was expecting to see Fan on at least one red carpet every single day during the festival be it a premiere or a party, but we have only seen her at the opening ceremony and the 70th anniversary gala. I really hope that Fan will step out on the red carpet at the amfAR gala at which she has been a guest several times in years past. In her past Fan has always worn Louis Vuitton to the amfAR gala, but since she just work LV yesterday I want to see her wearing some of her other favorite labels. I think that this black and emerald green Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2017 Couture tired tulle ballgown which features a beautiful bustier bodice would be a perfect look for Fan to wear this gown on the red carpet. I think that Fan would bring this look as a very dramatic and old Hollywood inspired ensemble to life on the red carpet and with the theme of this years amfAR Gala that it would be a beautiful moment. With a dramatic old Hollywood inspired updo, lined eye, red lip, black clutch, and a pair of black pumps I know that this would be Fan’s best look during Cannes yet.I am really surprised that we haven’t seen Karlie Kloss on any of the red carpets at the Cannes Film Festival yet. I would bet that the L’Orealista and supermodel will be in Cannes tomorrow to walk the runway in Carine Roitfeld’s golden age of Hollywood fashion show at tomorrow’s amfAR Gala. Karlie knows how to deliver some really beautiful moments on the red carpet and Cannes has seen some of her best looks. For the amfAR Gala tomorrow I would love to see Karlie step out wearing this beautiful red and lilac Atelier Versace Fall 2016 Couture draped gown which features subtle sequin detail, a daring split, and an asymmetrical one shoulder neckline. i think that this breezy gown would be a perfect look for Karlie to wear on the amfAR red carpet and is a beautiful bold visual statement without being overly done. Last but not least is this years Cannes Film Festival Mistress of Ceremonies Monica Bellucci. I have to say that I had low expectations for Monica when it came to her style at this years festival, but she has consistently blown me away with her style choices. We usually see the Mistress of Ceremonies have a fun night out at the amfAR Gala before hosting the festivals closing ceremony a few days later. If Monica follows tradition I would love to see her step out onto the red carpet at the amfAR Gala wearing this beautiful Ralph & Russo Fall 2016 Couture gown which features a gold palm leaf embroidered long sleeve bodice and a tired ruffle embellished a-line skirt. This is a bolder silhouette than what we are used to seeing Monica wearing on a red carpet, but I think that it would be beautiful. I would add a strapless bustier under the bodice instead of lining it fully to maintain the glamour and integrity of the gown while adding modesty for Monica. To finish this look for Monica I would add sleek pulled back hair, diamond cluster earrings, a black clutch, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of black sandals.

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is currently running now through Sunday May 28, 2017. The 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala will take place tomorrow Thursday May 25, 2017.

Cannes 2017: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 4

The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala is tomorrow and the fashion at the Cannes Film Festival is getting me really excited as to what all the stars are going to bring to the red carpet at the gala on Thursday. The amfAR gala is one of those nights where we see the jury let down their hair and party along side the stars who are presenting films at the festival and the biggest names in Hollywood, music, and fashion. This year I am really looking forward to seeing all of the stars will bring to the red carpet tomorrow. Berenice Bejo presented her film Redoubtable on Sunday wearing a gorgeous white draped gown which totally embodied old Hollywood glamour. I loved that look and I love Berenice and I am hoping that she will stick around in Cannes for the amfAR Gala. The only time that Berenice has attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala was back in 2012 while she was acting as the Mistress of Ceremonies for that years edition of the Cannes Film Festival. She wore a bold and dramatic Giambattista Valli Couture gown and it is still one of my favorite looks from her. I would love to see Berenice to step onto the red carpet at the amfAR Gala on Thursday wearing this turquoise Alexis Mabille Spring 2016 Couture crepe gown which features thin straps, iridescent rocaille petal embroidery, sun pleated illusion tulle, and crystal embellishments. This gown is light, breezy, and dramatic which makes it the perfect gown for the Cannes Film Festival and I think that Berenice would really ensure that it is an absolutely beautiful red carpet moment. Styling the look with a loose updo, lined eye, pink lip, dazzling diamond drop earrings, a matching clutch, and a pair of silver sandals would just make this look total perfection. Eva Longoria used to be a favorite of mine, then it came that she would only be on top of her game in Cannes, and over the last year there hasn’t been anything that I have actually liked from Eva. While I haven’t loved any of her recent looks there has been a little hope seen with looks from Marchesa and Azzi & Osta that are giving me hope that Eva’s looks during Cannes will be on top of her game. As an event chair I am expecting that Eva will deliver a really beautiful red carpet moment at this years amfAR gala. I think that this black and red Yanina Spring 2017 Couture flamenco inspired gown which features a striped tired skirt, embroidered halter neck, and a belted waist would be an absolutely beautiful moment for Eva to wear for the amfAR Gala. I am holding my breath with caution and hopefulness that Eva will deliver something amazing this year during her time in Cannes for L’Oreal. Jourdan Dunn kicked off her time in Cannes on Saturday wearing a really gorgeous yet edgy Jonathan Simkhai jumpsuit for the red carpet at the Fashion for Relief Gala. I am hoping for some really great edgy glam looks from Jourdan over her time at the festival. Jourdan has been wearing a lot of pants looks recently but for the amfAR Gala on Thursday I would love to see her step out wearing this metallic blueish, grey Redemption Fall 2017 RTW column gown which features strong shoulders, faux wrap skirt, daring plunging neckline, and a slit to there. We have seen a lot of looks from Redemption during Cannes and I think that it is a safe bet that that we will see the label, which is a favorite among models, at the amfAR gala tomorrow night. I think that Jourdan would definitely elevate this look into a major moment on the red carpet against the other similar looks from this collection that have already been worn. A pulled back afro, smokey eye, red lip, black strappy sandals, and dazzling diamond drop earrings would really make this look an absolutely major look for Jourdan. When I saw that Milla Jovovich was one of the event chairs for this years gala I didn’t get as excited as I used to. I was sooooooooo disappointed in the promo tour that Milla delivered for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter earlier this year because her looks were downright ugly. I hope that the magic of Cannes will help elevate Milla’s style back to the days that she was one of my favorites to see on a red carpet. I think that Milla would really shut down the red carpet wearing this gorgeous Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Couture strapless a-line gown which features an amazing mix and match patchwork fantasy print. I have really wanted to see this gown during Cannes and I think that this would be a perfect look for Milla to wear on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala. I don’t think that this is a look that would fair very well on the steps at the Palais, but the more laid back and breezy red carpet of the amfAR Gala tomorrow. I think that styling this look with a curly, romantic updo, smokey eye, pink lip, gold clutch, and a pair of gold sandals would put Milla back on the top of red carpet dressing.  Uma Thurman is not one of the event chairs of this years gala, but as a guest at the event several times in the past and as the president of the Un Certain Regard jury I would bet that she will step out on the red carpet at the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc at the amfAR Gala tomorrow night. I went with a very out of the box look for my wish for Uma to wear tomorrow with this midnight blue Sally LaPointe Fall 2017 RTW column gown which features an ombre feathered halter top and a velvet skirt slit up to there. I think that this gown is dramatic and glamorous and would put Uma back on track. Uma opened Cannes in a gorgeous custom Atelier Versace gown but her looks following that have been really disappointing. I know Uma has the potential to really wow me, and I hope that she delivers something beautiful tomorrow. This gown with a sleek updo, smokey eye, nude lip, simple black sandals, a black clutch, and a pair of dazzling diamond and sapphire cluster earrings would be absolutely amazing.

Cannes 2017: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

The 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala will take place in Cannes on Thursday and I am really uber excited about what the stars will wear. I have been really, really please with everything that has come down the red carpet at the festival and its coordinating parties and I know that the stars will bring it for amfAR. The amfAR gala is one of the most desirable tickets of the festival and I know that we will be in for such an amazing red carpet. With the bar that the stars have set I have really high expectations for the stars to wear on the red carpet at the amfAR gala. Bella Hadid has been killing the game in Cannes wearing the likes of Alexandre Vauthier, Dior, and Roberto Cavalli Couture so far and I am hoping that her style game is not slowing down. I am usually the first person to roll my eyes at a “naked dress” on the red carpet anymore, but if anyone could make me not mind it will be Bella. I would love to see Bella step out on the red carpet at this years amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala wearing this black embroidered sheer Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 RTW column gown which features side cutouts and a featured hem. I love this gown, but there are only so many stars that I really think that could turn this gown into a really major moment on a red carpet, and Bella is definitely one of them. Bella has the edgy glamour that I know would really make this into an absolutely major red carpet look. My only fear when it comes to wishing for Bella to wear this look is the undergarments that she will choose. I tend to find that the point of contention with Bella’s style. If she doesn’t have the perfect nude undies then I would like to see McQueen line this gown with a perfect match nude lining to hold the integrity of the gown. With a pair of emerald Bulgari earrings, sleek center parted bob, lined eye, red lip, and a pair of black sandals this would be another totally amazing moment for Bella at Cannes.Emily Ratajkowski is one of the co-chairs of this years gala so I would bet that she will return to Cannes after giving us premiere looks from TwinSet and Peter Dundas already at the start of the festival. Neither of Emily’s first two red carpet looks did anything for me and I am really hoping that she is back on her game when the amfAR Gala kicks off on Thursday. I think that Emily, who in addition to being a co-chair I would imagine will walk in Carine Roitfeld’s fashion show at the gala, would look amazing walking the red carpet wearing this yellow Versace Fall 2017 RTW chainmail halter dress features a draped design and twisted halter strap. This gown is modern and edgy but still glam enough to be worn on a red carpet at Cannes. At the amfAR Gala we see a whole host of styles on the red carpet so this ankle length draped gown would still fit in perfectly. I would have Emily add a pair of simple black sandals, diamond cluster earrings, a dazzling diamond bracelet, and loose waves tucked behind the ears to really make this a beautiful moment. Jessica Chastain has been on an upward curve with her red carpet looks and I have to say that she is really killing the game when it comes to her fashion choices this year. I was really excited to see Jessica on the red carpet as a jury member for the festival and I am really looking forward to seeing more of her over the course of the festival. As one of the event chairs we are expected to see Jessica take to the red carpet at the amfAR Gala, taking the night off from her jury duties. I was watching the livestream of the Christian Dior Cruise 2018 collection waiting for gowns that we could see at the Cannes Film Festival. The moment I saw this red clay printed brocade a-line gown come down the desert runway I ran to my computer and refreshed Vogue Runway until I could get a a picture of it for a wish for Jessica Chastain to wear for this years amfAR Gala. I can just picture Jessica really making this into a truly major moment on the red carpet at amfAR. The color would just pop and compliment her hair and skin tone to total perfection. This is a total contrast to the lime green Dior Couture ensemble that Jessica wore for the premiere of The Meyerowitz Stories yesterday. With old Hollywood waves, a lined eye, dazzling drop earrings, and a pair of gold sandals I know that Jessica would shut down the red carpet. Maria Borges is the latest L’Orealista and she will be making her Cannes debut at the Palais de Festivals ahead of the 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. I would expect that the beautiful Angolan supermodel will walk the runway in Carine Roitfeld’s latest runway show. I want Maria to really serve some major looks on the Cannes red carpets during her debut and this emerald green embellished Roberto Cavalli Couture flowing gown which features a daring plunging neckline would do just that. Despite the fact that Cavalli is in a time of transition between creative directors we have seen a lot of looks from the Italian label on the red carpet and I think that this gown wold be another gorgeous addition to the list of looks from the label this year. This look is such a statement that I think that with just a pair of diamond cluster earrings, a green smokey eye, glossy nude lip, and a pair dyed to match satin sandals that Maria would deliver a gorgeous look for her first amfAR gala at Cannes. As I was writing this post I was writing this post last night I was watching the Billboard Music Awards and I looked up when Celine Dion performed “My Heart Will Go On” and I just let out an ughhhhhhh because I had just gotten to this spot on the list and she was wearing the Stephane Rolland gown that I had picked for Rihanna to wear on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala this week. My initial resentment for it faded quick because Celine werked that gown delivering it as a major performance moment. So I had to quickly go back to the drawing board to find the perfect look for Rihanna to wear for the amfAR Gala this year. I don’t know if the songstress will stick around after presenting her Rihanna Loves Chopard haute jewelry collection at the beginning of the festival. I am praying that she does because I love a good Rihanna moment. After the Stephane Rolland gown I wanted to see Rihanna wear got snatched up I decided to stick with the dramatics with this black Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture collection which features one sleeve with a ginormous silk flower on the shoulder, beaded lace column silhouette, and a dramatic silk train jetting out from the hip. This gown is definitely not for the faint of heart to wear on the red carpet, and Rihanna is pretty much fearless when it comes to her red carpet style and has the presence to really make this gown come to life on the red carpet. Since the gown is black it would be a perfect background for Rihanna to pair some of her dazzling creations from her Chopard collaboration with. A sleek bun, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of simple black sandals would be the perfect finishing touches to this major look.

Cannes 2017: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

The 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala is just a few days away and I am getting really excited to see what is going to go down on the red carpet. There will be 40 models walking in Carine Roitfeld’s runway show on top of all the international film stars that are going to descend upon the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc for this years event.  Ana Beatriz Barros has dazzled over and over again on the red carpet over the last year wearing some really gorgeous Ralph & Russo Couture looks. I would love to see Ana step out on the red carpet at this years amfAR Gala wearing the label yet again. I think that Ana would deliver a beautiful Audrey Hepburn inspired moment with this light pink Ralph & Russo Spring 2016 Couture off the shoulder midi gown which features beautiful circle embroidery and a tired skirt. On the red carpet at the amfAR Gala we usually see a whole host of styles on the red carpet from short mini dresses to dramatic couture ballgowns, so this look is a perfect median to that. I think that this delicate and feminine approach would totally be amped up thanks to the sex appeal that Anna just oozes on the red carpet. Rounding out this look with old Hollywood waves, smokey eye, light pink lip, rose gold metallic sandals, and a pair of pink diamond drop earrings would just make this look the epitome of feminine glamour. Eva Herzigova has been all over the Cannes Film Festival so far this year. I am expecting that the supermodel will stick around for the amfAR Gala on Thursday. Surprisingly we have not seen Eva wear anything from Dior on the red carpet at Cannes yet, but I think that will be short lived when the amfAR Gala comes around. I think that this black chiffon Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture gown is a pretty safe bet bet for Eva to wear on the red carpet at this years amfAR Gala. This is a pretty standard gown to see on a red carpet, so I know it won’t make any best dressed lists, but I do think that Eva would look very chic wearing this creation on the red carpet. I would hope that this gown has a little bit of a train to make it a smidge more dramatic than what some other Dior looks have been off the runway. Adding more drama with a statement Chopard collar necklace, black sandals, smokey eye, red lip, and loose waves would really make this a perfect look for Eva to wear on the amfAR red carpet. Izabel Goulart is one of my favorite models to see on the red carpet and I am praying that if she steps out on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala this year that she delivers a red carpet look I love. I could see her turning to any host of her favorite designers for a beautiful draped silk, satin, or chiffon gown to go along with the old Hollywood glamour theme of the evening. While I love me some old Hollywood glamour I want to see a variety of looks referencing the golden age of Hollywood on the red carpet. I think that Izabel would ooze classic Hollywood sophistication wearing this gold embellished lace long sleeve Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture column gown which features a faux wrap skirt, high neck, daring split, and cold shoulders. While I am very much over the “naked dress” trend and I love this dress and I think that on the right person that I would find myself putting it on a best dressed list. I can see Izabel wearing this gown with her signature loose waves over would shoulder, diamond cluster earrings, a gold clutch, and gold sandals really making it that moment I can fall in love with. I have been pleasantly surprised with the very beautiful looks that Petra Nemcova has worn over the course of the festival so far and I am hoping that she will continue to deliver beautiful looks on the red carpet through the amfAR Gala. I think that Petra would look absolutely beautiful on the red carpet at this years amfAR Gala wearing this black silk velvet Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Spring 2017 column gown which features a side flounced ruffle, crystal brooch embellished belt, and a slight off-the-shoulder neckline. This gown is dramatic glamour at its finest and I do think we will see the gown on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala at Cannes. Velvet can be seen as too heavy for the light red carpets at Cannes, but I do think that Petra would look so incredibly chic wearing this creation on the red carpet. Styling the look with a sleek romantic updo, lined eye, red lip, black sandals, a black clutch, and uber dazzling diamond drop earrings and I think that this would totally be another best dressed worthy ensemble for PetraIt is rumored that pop superstar turned film actress and model Rita Ora is slated to be the big performer at the amfAR Gala this year. This would not be the first time that the British songstress has been on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala in Cannes having worn a dramatic Marchesa gown for the event in 2015. For this years gala I decided to make a more obscure reference to the golden age of Hollywood for Rita to wear on the red carpet at this years gala. I think that this Giambattista Valli Fall 2016 Couture gown evoked a very distinct Scarlett O’Hara vibe, and I don’t know how much more golden age of Hollywood one can get than a Gone with the Wind reference. I don’t think that there could be a more perfect look for Rita to wear on the red carpet. This look evokes a classic film and still fits in with the setting on the French Riviera to perfection. It might be similar to the Giambattista Valli gown that Rita wore earlier this year for the Fifty Shades Darker premiere, but I think that this gown is just different enough to really make it another totally beautiful red carpet moment. Strappy gold sandals, loose updo, smokey eye, nude lip, and dazzling emerald earrings would ensure that this is another amazing look for Rita.

Cannes 2017: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wist List Part 1

One of the hottest tickets to score during the Cannes Film Festival is the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. The event is fun but also raises money for a good cause. To date, this spectacular, star-studded event has raised more than $190 million for amfAR’s life-saving research programs and has helped keep the fight against AIDS in the global media spotlight. The event brings together the stars of philanthropy, film, and fashion for a very fabulous and luxurious evening. This years event chairs, and the theme of the evening, tell me that it is going to be one of the best red carpets yet. This years theme, dictated by the fashion show that Carine Roitfeld is curating, is the golden age of Hollywood. That means that we are about to see a whole slew of old Hollywood inspired looks on the red carpet. 40 star models are slated to take to the runway to present Carine’s collection this season and I am really excited to see who will donate their time to walk the runway. Victoria’s Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio is no stranger to the red carpet at Cannes or amfAR so it would come as no surprise to see her make the jaunt to the French Riviera for this years gala. For the red carpet I went for a more modern look than old Hollywood with this white Atelier Versace Spring 2016 Couture draped gown white features an asymmetrical neckline, hip cutout, and a sexy split. I really wanted to see this gown on the red carpet during Cannes last year. Since it didn’t get worn then I want to see it have a really beautiful moment this year and I think that Alessandra Ambrosio would be the perfect person to bring it to life on the red carpet at Cannes. With a sleek updo, smokey eye, nude lip, statement diamond drop earrings, and a pair of strappy silver sandals this look would be more than perfection. Diane Kruger is one of the Event Chairs for this years Gala and I am really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet at this years gala, which will take place the evening before her big premiere. In the past we have seen Diane at the Cinema Against AIDS gala in Cannes several time. As her self set tradition has set every time that Diane attends the amfAR Gala in Cannes we always see her wearing Chanel, and I bet that will be the case yet again. I would love it if Diane referenced her role in Troy wearing this amazing ivory draped Chanel Cruise 2018 Grecian goddess gown which features a plunging neckline and a completely sequined corset belted waist. I think that this gown would be an absolutely beautiful option for Diane to wear on the red carpet at amfAR, it fits the location of the gardens of the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc perfectly. Styling this look with a loose updo, gold clutch, lined eyes, gold sandals, and dainty yellow gold drop earrings would really make this another beautiful moment for Diane on the amfAR red carpet. The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala red carpet will be the first major red carpet appearance that Irina Shayk will make since she had her baby. When it comes to her style I am either really interested, really bored, or really disgusted. I hope that when she steps out on the Cannes red carpet that she will do so in high style. Some of Irina’s best red carpet looks have come from Versace, so I went back to the brand to pick the perfect gown for her to wear for amfAR. Irina was one of the first people I thought of when I first saw this amazing grey to acid yellow fully embellished Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture halter gown which features an ombre feathered hemline and I the amfAR Gala is the perfect place for her to wear it. The gown is breezy glamour and that makes it the perfect look to wear on a red carpet that overlooks the crashing waves of the French Riviera. The gown alone is such a statement so I would finish this look with a pair of grey sandals, a sleek updo, dramatic lined eye, & a nude lip to make sure this look is not overworked.Lily Donaldson has already landed in Cannes and walked a red carpet at the Palais and I would bet that she will be one of the 40 models that Carine Roitfeld has recruited to walk in her Golden Age of Hollywood themed runway show at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala on Thursday. Last year Lily was one of my favorites at the amfAR gala wearing a custom red Prada gown and I hope that she lives up to her past this year. I think that Lily would more than do this white Blumarine Fall 2017 RTW gown which features a crystal bodice with three quarter length sleeves and plunging neckline and a silk skirt with two slits justice on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala. This gown is totally a perfect modern interpretation of old Hollywood glamour and I am sure that someone will snatch it up for this red carpet. Lily would really make this a totally glamorous red carpet look. I know that with the double slits that the wearer might be tempted to pull some “Angelina leg,” but I think that Lily would just strategically flash some leg unlike the likes of Bella Hadid or Kendall Jenner would would have us asking why bother even having a skirt. Rounding out this look with silver sandals, a silver clutch, red lip, old Hollywood waves, smokey eye, and a pair of dazzling diamond drop earrings would really make it 100% perfection. Rounding out today’s wishes is the gorgeous Nicole Kidman, who is serving as one of this years event chairs. Nicole’s time at amfAR will come following her four straight days of premieres at the festival. I have a really good feeling about what Nicole is going to bring over the course of her time at the festival, which begins tomorrow, and the amfAR Gala will just be the perfect way to cap it all off. We have never seen Nicole wear a look from Tom Ford, but when he was the creative director at Gucci in the early 2000’s Nicole was all over his designs. I think that the amfAR Gala would be the perfect place for Nicole to wear a look from Tom Ford’s signature collection. I don’t think any of the recent runway looks are very Nicole and I would love to see her in something custom. To find a perfect Tom Ford look for Nicole to wear for amfAR I went online shopping and found this amazing grey sequined Tom Ford gown which features long sleeves, column silhouette, and a cold shoulder. Cost is nothing for Cannes so the $15,000 price tag is nothing. This is a very modern look which I think in its glamorous core still holds true to the feeling of Hollywood glamour. All I would add to this look to make it perfect are a sleek ponytail, lined eye, light pink lip, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of grey sandals.

The 2017 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala will take place on Thursday May 25, 2017. The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is currently running and will run through Sunday May 28, 2017.

Cannes 2017: “The Square” Photocall & Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Wow I can’t believe we have hit my final premiere wish for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. After today I have a bunch of wishes to post for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala and finish the wishes with two more closing ceremony wishes and then we will be done making any more wishes for the festival. The Square was a late addition to this years edition and is the second project that Elisabeth Moss will be presenting at the festival this year. I am interested in seeing what Elisabeth will bring to the Croisette for her first year ever at the Cannes Film Festival. I think that for the photocall for The Square that Elisabeth would look lovely on the red carpet wearing this red and white gingham Brock Collection Spring 2017 RTW ensemble which features a bustier top with spaghetti straps and a knee length pencil skirt which features a red waistband. This is a very classic look and I do think that this would be a perfect look for Elisabeth to wear for a photocall at the Cannes Film Festival. For the premiere I went to another of my favorite gowns and this beautiful abyss blue Elie Saab Fall 2017 RTW gown which features a an illusion neck with lace inserts, a sleeveless silhouette, and a pleated full length skirt with ruffles throughout. This gown is purely elegant and I do think that for her premiere that this would be a beautiful look. I would like to see this look modified to have just a little more of a train thank it does for the runway to add a little drama for the Cannes red carpet. A sleek updo, dazzling diamond drop earrings, a silver metallic clutch, a lined eye, red lip, and silver sandals would make this a truly beautiful moment on the Cannes red carpet. I could have left this late addition to just being a wish for Elisabeth, but I wanted to make a few more wishes for the fabulous members of the jury. So far Fan Bingbing has worn nothing but couture during her time at the festival and I am loving it. For my final premiere wish for the stunning Chinese actress I went for something with a lot of drama with this white Ashi Studio Spring 2017 Couture strapless gown which features tiered bell sleeves, pleated lace, and a voluminous high low skirt. There aren’t many that I think could really pull this gown off on a red carpet, but I know that Fan has the grace and presence to really turn it into an absolutely beautiful red carpet moment. Rounding the look out with a high bun, red lip, dazzling diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of white satin sandals would really make this a totally perfect look for Mrs Bingbing.I was a little underwhelmed with the Alexander McQueen gown that Jessica Chastain wore for the Cannes opening. It was very pretty and for any of the other red carpets of the festival I probably would have loved it, but it just wasn’t grand enough for the occasion. I hope that her festival fashion is on an upward curve from here on out. Jessica would definitely take my breath away if she stepped out onto the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival wearing this bright orange Armani Prive Spring 2017 Couture one shoulder column gown which features an asymmetrical neckline, and a cutout on the side. We have never seen Jessica wear this shade of orange on the red carpet, but I think that she would be absolutely gorgeous wearing this gown on the red carpet. I have seen other redheads in this shade and it can be absolutely magical, and if anyone can make it work it will be Jessica. The key to this look would be a sleek updo, lined eye, nude lip, gold sandals, and a pair of diamond cluster earrings.

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is currently open and will run until Sunday May 28, 2017. The premiere of The Square will take place tomorrow on Saturday May 20, 2017.

Cannes 2017: “Claire’s Camera” Photocall & Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Isabelle Huppert’s new film Claire’s Camera is slated to be one of the gala out of competition screenings at this years festival. Isabelle became one of my ones to watch over the course of awards season and I am really excited to see what she will wear over the the course of her run at this years festival. The gown I picked for Isabelle to wear for the in competition premiere of Happy End has already been worn at this years festival, by Fan Bingbing, so I am just feeling the vibes of this years festival. Because Claire’s Camera is one of the out of competition gala screenings I am really putting some pressure on Isabelle Huppert to really deliver some major looks while promoting the film on the Croisette. Since awards season Isabelle has been seated front row at both the Louis Vuitton Fall 2017 RTW show in Paris and the labels Cruise 2018 show in Kyoto so I am kind of expecting one of her looks over her two days at the festival to come from the label. I am not the biggest fan of Louis Vuitton evening wear but there are a bunch of more casual looks from the label that I would like to see. I think that this Louis Vuitton Fall 2017 RTW ensemble which features a white button down blouse and camel cropped pants which features white stitching down each leg would be a perfect look for Isabelle to wear for a photocall. The looks screams French simplicity and I really do think that Isabelle would look incredibly chic wearing this ensemble. With a pair of simple black pumps and a great pair of sunglasses I know that Isabelle would ensure that she brings her signature effortless glamour to the Croisette. For the premiere I went with something very very glamourous with this beautiful Valentino Spring 2017 Couture long sleeve gown covered with floral embroidery and overlaid with a tulle cape. This is a more visually complicated look than we are used to seeing Isabelle wearing on the red carpet, but I do think that for a big gala premiere at the Cannes Film Festival that it would be a perfect choice for her to wear. Rounding the look out with a dark berry red lip, her signature loose waves, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of gold sandals would really make this one of Isabelle’s best looks this year.Claire’s Camera is an out of competition screening that will take place in a side theater at the Palais de Festivals. For these screenings we usually see casts bundled onto the same red carpet as the film that is being screened in the main Grand Theater Lumiere. Over the course of the festival we will see members of different juries on various red carpets. We have already seen Uma Thurman on the red carpets twice during the festival so far. The first in a gorgeous custom Atelier Versace gown and the second in a Giuseppe Zanotti design yesterday that didn’t go over as well. I have made very few wishes for Uma to wear over the course of the festival so I thought I would add one more for the premieres. I think that Uma would be the epitome of statuesque glamour on the red carpet on the steps of the Palais wearing this gold velvet Schiaparelli Fall 2015 Couture gown. I have wanted to see this gown on a red carpet since it was first presented and I do think that Uma would more than do it justice. The gown deserves a major platform and I don’t know if you can get any more major than the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. A glamorous 40’s inspired updo, lined eye, nude lip, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of gold sandals would make this a truly captivating moment for Uma to deliver during her time as the Un Certain Regard jury president.

The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is now open and will run though Sunday May 28, 2017. The premiere of Claire’s Camera will take place on Sunday May 21, 2017.

Cannes 2017: Chopard Trophy Party Red Carpet Wish List

Outside of the presenter and the honorees we usually see a gaggle of stars who are at the festival head on over to the Hotel Martinez for the party celebrating the Chopard Trophy. From L’Oreal models, to stars in town for Chopard, guest who fly in just for the event, and jury members. Fan Bingbing is on this years jury and with her history of attending past Chopard Trophy parties I think that it is pretty likely that we will see her on the red carpet at this event. I think that for this event I think that Fan would look absolutely amazing wearing this abyss blue Elie Saab Fall 2017 RTW gown which features an ostrich feather embellished off the shoulder neckline, velvet belted waist, and a full length skirt. Fan is one of the few people who I really think could make this gown come to life on the red carpet and I think that it would be the perfect look for her to wear for the Chopard party. Styling this look with a silver embellished clutch, silver sandals, sleek high bun, lined eye, red lip, and a pair of dazzling diamond and sapphire drop earrings would just ensure perfection.Jessica Chastain has made several appearances at the Cannes Film Festival in years past, but she has never attended a Chopard party. I feel like that will change this year with her role as a jury member. If she does attend the Chopard Trophy party this year I think that this light pink Atelier Versace Fall 2017 Couture column gown which features black sequin lining, an asymmetrical peplum, center split, and an off the shoulder portrait neckline would be the perfect look for Jessica to wear. This is one of those gowns that I still don’t know how it made it through the fall festival season and awards season without being worn and I am really hoping that it will be seen during the course of the festival. I think that this would be a beautiful look on Jessica. With a pair of dazzling pink diamond earrings, old Hollywood waves, lined eyes, pink lip, and black sandals this would be a totally beautiful moment for Jessica. Rihanna will be debuting her Rihanna Loves Chopard jewellery collection tomorrow night and I would love to see her step out for the Chopard Trophy Party as well. I think that seeing RiRi wearing this dusty blue Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture bustier ball gown which features pickups. Some would equate this gown with a dark version of Belles gold gown from Beauty and the Beast, but I think that this gown is really beautiful and stands alone. As a face of Dior Rihanna can have her choice of gowns to wear for Cannes and I do think that this gown would be absolutely beautiful on the songstress turned actress. I think that pairing this gown with a chic updo, smokey eye, nude lip, navy sandals, and a diamond earcuff from her Chopard collaboration would make this a gorgeous moment for Rihanna.
