My final wish before I dive deep into my End of the Year Style Awards is for one of the first red carpets of 2018. Following the Palm Spring International Film Festival Black Tie Awards Gala and the New York Film Critics Circle Awards we will have our first big movie premiere red carpet on January 4, 2018 with the LA premiere of Proud Mary. 
Taraji P. Henson stars in Proud Mary and I have to say I am excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet. Taraji has laid relatively low during the second half of this year and I want her to kick off 2018 in high style. I would love to see her rock this ink blue Azzaro Fall 2017 Couture sleeveless cocktail dress which features sheer paneling, crystal trim, and a midi length. This dress is sexy yet sophisticated and I truly think that if anyone can sell this look to me on a red carpet that it is Taraji. She knows how to give diva sex appeal on the red carpet and that is exactly what this kind of dress needs. With a pair of silver Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Coline’ crystal trimmed sandals, a navy smokey eye, bold red lip, and Stephen Webster diamonds including a pair of ‘Magnipheasant’ drop earrings and matching cuff ring this look will be ready for the first premiere carpet of 2018. Kicking it off the year in high style.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” London Premiere Red Carpet Wish List
This marks my final movie premiere wish list for 2017. Tomorrow I’ll start my Critics Choice Awards wishes and then stars my annual End of the Year Style Awards. I take my years very seriously when it comes to how I compile my Best Dressed of the Year list and every year I start my consideration for the next years list on December 1st. I do that so that I can post my annual best of the year list, but sadly I cannot wait until December 31st to do so because awards season always starts early. That means that the looks from the Star Wars: The Last Jedi promo tour will be my first considerations for next years awards. I am really excited to see what all of the stars will bring to the red carpet at the films gala premiere in London on Tuesday December 12, 2017. This cast has really great potential and I am really excited to see what they will bring.
For Daisy Ridley I decided to go for her first major Atelier Versace moment. Daisy is definitely a rising red carpet powerhouse and I am really excited to see what she will bring to this tour. I feel like for many of my wishes for this tour I have gone very ‘alien chic’ for everyone but Daisy. I think that she will not buy into the kitsch of theme dressing instead opting for really great moments that stand strong all on their own. She should feel honored because I am trusting her with one of my favorite gowns from the latest couture collections. When I saw this black halter gown with gold beaded embroidery gown in the Atelier Versace Fall 2017 Couture lookbook I immediately fell in love. This is a really gorgeous moment and I have been very protective over who I have wished to wear it on a red carpet. Since this gown debuted, despite the fact that I really love it, I have only featured it in two wish lists. One for Emma Stone and one for Gal Gadot. I think that Daisy has the potential to keep up with those style stars and I do think that she would take this gown and really make it a great moment on the red carpet at this premiere. I think that with a loose romantic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, glossy light pink lips, a pair of black and gold Tom Ford metallic ankle tie sandals, and a pair of vintage Cartier gold and diamond teardrop earrings all would ensure that Daisy all makes a major moment for one of the most buzzed about promo tours of the year. 
While I have gone for great glamour for Daisy I have been doing the full ‘alien chic’ moment for Lupita Nyong’o to wear during this promo tour. I went based on the looks that Lupita wore on the red carpet at the last Star Wars tour that she had. She went to some really dramatic and edgy looks during that tour both fashion wise and beauty wise and I cannot wait to see what she will bring during this tour. For the London premiere I went for the simplest in style but maybe the most visually striking look that I could pull together for Lupita to wear during this tour. Lupita does color better than almost everyone. I have been waiting to see someone wearing this sleek one shoulder Armani Prive Spring 2017 Couture tangerine orange column gown since it came down the runway back in January and I think that if anyone could really sell this look to me that it would be Lupita. There is no need for intricate beading or long trains when the color of the gown is this bold. Most would take the gown and let it be all the statement that it is, but not me. Not for Lupita. Not for this premiere. I really went for it with the matching for the styling of this look adding a thick winged eye and bold orange lip, a pair of orange suede Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ pointed toe pumps, and a statement padparadascha sapphire and diamond David Morris cocktail ring to really make this look even more visually striking than it already was coming down the runway.
Gwendoline Christie is definitely one of the most improved stars this year. Had this red carpet taken place at the beginning of the year I might not have featured Gwendoline, but while she did the rounds promoting Top of the Lake: China Girl and Game of Thrones this year her style has really blossomed. I think that Gwendoline would continue that great streak wearing this cream pleated Gucci Spring 2018 RTW gown which features balloon sleeves, beaded cuffs, a mock neck, and dazzling beaded embroidery on the shoulders. This gown is definitely something that I think that only a few could really pull off and I think that the 6’3″ tall actress would definitely not let the gown overwhelm her. With a chic curly bob, smokey eye, a light pink lip, and a pair of silver Alexandre Birman knotted metallic sandals this look would be perfection.
Laura Dern has had a really great year and ahead of an awards season where she is a favorite to take home several awards I am expecting Laura to really deliver some really great looks. She was the epitome of modern glam wearing a tea length feathered Proenza Schouler gown at the Emmy Awards earlier this year and I decided to go back to the brand for her to wear on the red carpet at the London premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I think that Laura would exude that same modern glamour wearing another look from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 RTW collection. I think that this black Irish lace embroidered ensemble which features a sleeveless cut out design peplum top and a midi length pencil skirt with a center split is that modern moment that I really want to see Lara bring to the red carpet at this premiere. While I went to dramatic glamour for Daisy and ‘alien chic’ for Lupita, and this would be the perfect simple and modern look to compliment those. I added a little space kitsch with a pair of silver Giuseppe Zanotti metallic leather crystal star embellished sandals to loose waves, a kohl rimmed eye, bold red lip, and a pair of diamond and emerald Tiffany & Co. drop earrings to make this look absolute perfection. 
I may have elevated Billie Lourd to wear couture for the LA premiere of The Last Jedi, but for the London premiere I went to something a little simpler. This gold Maria Lucia Hohan Fall 2017 RTW pleated lurex chiffon gown which features asymmetrical hemline, bow detail, plunging neckline, and emphasized waist is the definition of glamour and I think that Billie would look absolutely chic wearing this pretty standard look on the red carpet. While the gown might read as standard, I think that on Billie with the right accessories that this look would come across anything but standard. I think a pair of gold Schutz ‘Ilara’ sandals, old Hollywood waves, a smokey eye, nude lip, and H. Stern jewels including a pair of star drop earrings and statement cuff would all ensure that Billie really delivers an absolutely beautiful moment.
The London premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi will take place on Tuesday January 12, 2017.
“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List
I was not a fan of the idea of remaking Jumanji but I have to say that I am kinda looking forward to this red carpet premiere. While it doesn’t have the big star studded cast like Pitch Perfect 3 or Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I think that the LA premiere of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle on December 11, 2017 will be the dark horse of the fall blockbuster premieres. Between Nick Jonas, who has become quite a major menswear fashionisto, and rising style star Karen Gillan I think we could see some really great red carpet moments at this premiere. I think the question is will the stars be inclined to go the animal inspired route. 
Karen Gillan burst onto the scene earlier this year during the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 promo tour and has been pretty quite since then. I didn’t want to go to the animale inspired looks that one would automatically jump to for at Jumanji premiere. I think that going to that would be totally expected and I want to see Karen make some real strides since she is the brightest female style star on this red carpet. I think that taking this white Prada Spring 2018 RTW one shoulder midi dress covered in a chic pop art print would be a really great moment for Karen as it gives just enough glamour to her look to really make her one to watch, but also relaxed enough to fit the glamour of this event. Karen has worn a whole host of different brands from Self-Portrait, Miu Miu, Vika Gazinskaya, and Monse this year alone. Each one is amazing and I am expecting that she will give her some amazing moments on the red carpet coming up. I think that pairing this look with a loose updo, kohl rimmed eye, coral lip, black and gold Prada logo chain clutch, and a pair of black Prada sandals with a gold heel and decorated strap that this look would be perfection.
Now while I was very reluctant to pick an animal print look for Karen I think that would be a great, unexpected look for Nick Jonas. Nick has been a fashion darling this year wearing stand out looks from Balmain, Dior Homme, and Ralph Lauren this year. I think that if Nick called up Tom Ford and got his hands on this Spring 2018 Menswear brown and cheetah pony hair jacket pairing it with a burgundy Tom Ford cashmere wool blend ribbed thin knit jumper and black Tom Ford cotton-blend regular classic jeans all would make it a standout menswear look. Nick is one of the few dudes on the red carpet who tends to take a risk when it comes to what he wears on the red carpet, and I think that this is the perfect mesh of classic menswear and extra edge. A pair of brown Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Frankie’ low-top sneakers all add the perfect final detail to this look for Nick.
2017 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 2
The British Fashion Awards celebrate the best of both British fashion, but also some of the greatest talent in fashion in general. This red carpet is different than what we see compared to the CFDA Awards because we see more high fashion moments at the British Fashion Awards and there can definitely be some major best dressed moments on this red carpet. I am really hoping that we see a great turnout of stars, socialites, and models on this red carpet embracing many of the amazing designers who are nominated. 
Alexa Chung is a true lover of fashion and she is definitely one of the stars who I can totally picture seeing work the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards. Alexa would be the perfect person to bring Accessories Designer of the Year nominee Coach to the Fashion Awards red carpet. I tend to like gowns on the red carpet for this event, but rarely does Alexa wear something long so I think that she would be the perfect person to bring this black long sleeve, western inspired Coach 1941 Spring 2018 RTW cocktail dress to life on this red carpet. This western inspired dress fits perfectly with the fall urban cowgirl trend and I think Alexa has the kind of style to really make this look chic. With a pair of black Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini patterned tights, a black Coach flip lock bag, kohl rimmed eyes, a red lip, and pink satin Prada crisscross platform sandals all pieces of this puzzle will come together.
Cara Delevingne has had a pretty stellar year this year and I would love to see her bring the wow factor to the Fashion Awards red carpet. Her last look was brought down by hair that I just couldn’t get on board with. I love her with short hair and maybe by the time this red carpet comes around her hair will be able to be styled in a punky spiked updo which I think think would perfectly compliment this Saint Laurent Spring 2018 RTW ensemble. The white strapless puff top and black tapered pants with a crystal embellished belt buckle is definitely one of those looks that only a few could make work on a red carpet, and I think that Cara is one of those few. Many would get lost in this top, but I think that Cara has perfect mix of edge and glamour to really own this look. A pair of Burmese sapphire and diamond Cartier cluster earrings, a kohl rimmed eye, red lip, and black Saint Laurent ‘Opyum’ pumps with blue YSL logo heel would all make this such a statement moment on the Fashion Awards red carpet. 
Erin O’Connor is the statuesque six foot tall British supermodel that we usually see bring some of the most dramatic looks to life on the red carpet. Roksanda Ilincic is nominated for British Designer of the Year – Womenswear for her eponymous label Roksanda. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Roksanda Spring 2018 RTW collection, but on the right person I think that some of these pieces could be really great. I think that Erin is the only person who could really make this hot pick Roksanda Spring 2018 RTW sleeveless gown which features 3D floral details come to life on the red carpet. I think that if she paired this gown with a hot pink Givenchy ‘Micro Pandora’ minaudiere, a sleek bun, kohl rimmed eyes, a nude lip, and a pair of simple black Jimmy Choo ‘Annie’ sandals that this look would be perfection.
Kaia Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, kinda burst onto the scene late this year with the Spring 2018 fashion season. She has been the face of Marc Jacobs beauty and walked in several of the major shows that season making her runway debut for Calvin Klein. I decided to go with Calvin for Kaia to wear since they are both nominated for British Fashion Awards. I think that this black waxed silk Calvin Klein by Raf Simons Spring 2018 RTW one shoulder, tea length gown which features a scarf neck and an a-line skirt would be such a chic moment for Kaia to wear on this red carpet. I think that the runway dress would fit in perfectly on this red carpet, even if I kinda wish that it would be lengthened to a floor length gown with a bit of a train to really make it a dramatic moment. While I usually don’t think that a black dress is what an ‘IT girl’ should wear for a major red carpet moment I think that this is still a major statement, even if it is subtle. I would add a pair of statement bright blue Calvin Klein asymmetric jeweled sandals, a smokey eye with a blue liner, a nude lip, and a pair of simple Chopard diamond cluster earrings to really turn this classic gown into a major red carpet moment. 
If Naomi Campbell doesn’t walk the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards I will be shocked. I have really come to appreciate Naomi on the red carpet this year. I used to roll my eyes when she stepped onto the red carpet, but this year she has had some really great moments with her favorite red carpet designers. I would absolutely love to see Naomi give us edgy glamour wearing this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 RTW which features a deconstructed cream silk and lace asymmetrical bustier paired with black tapered pants. This is an elevated look that I think that Naomi might have worn a before, but I think that now this is a look that I would really love to see her wearing. A green velvet Alexander McQueen embellished minaudiere, pin straight locks, a pair of black Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope Pearl’ cross strap sandals, and a gold Cartier diamond eagle herringbone choker all would add the perfect finishing touches to this look for Naomi. 
Rihanna has only walked one British Fashion Awards red carpet in the past back in 2014 wearing Stella McCartney. This year Fenty Puma by Rihanna is nominated for the Urban Luxe Award, so I would imagine that she will make the trip to London for this red carpet. Her Fenty x Puma collection is amazing. What started as a one season deal has spiraled into this amazing collection that I absolutely adore. The collection isn’t something that I think we will see on the red carpet, so I went to another of Rihanna’s recent favorite designers for her look for this red carpet. I went back to the debut Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture runway collection and this gorgeous red lace, one sleeve embellished gown which features a dramatic rosette on the bodice, sexy split, and a dramatic train for Rihanna to have a really major moment on the red carpet. This gown slightly reminds me of the black Stella McCartney gown that Rihanna wore to the 2011 Met Gala, but I think it would be just different enough for Rihanna to rock on this red carpet. I think that if Rihanna styled this look with a sleek updo, smokey eye, red lip, red Gianvito Rossi plexi/satin sandals, a Chopard ruby and diamond statement bracelet, and a pair of Chopard ruby and diamond chandelier earrings that she would have an absolutely amazing moment on her hands.
Last but certainly not least is a gorgeous wish for Suki Waterhouse to rock on this red carpet. I love Suki and I think that she would be another perfect face to see walk this red carpet. Mary Katrantzou may not be nominated this year, but her designs are amazing and I still want to see this British designer represented on this red carpet. I think that Suki would look striking wearing this orange toucan printed Mary Katrantzou Resort 2018 gown which features a strapless neckline, a bold floral print, and full length silhouette. This is the beautiful gown and I think that Suki has the glamour to really make this gown come to life on the red carpet. Old Hollywood waves, a kohl rimmed eye, light pink lip, a rose pink Isla feathered clutch, a pair of nude Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Coline’ sandals, and Chopard pink opal earrings all would ensure that the glamour of this look is elevated to such a major level.

2017 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1
While the main focus of the big red carpets that are upcoming are film premieres and award ceremonies we will have an opportunity for fun fashion with the 2017 British Fashion Awards. Always a hot ticket amongst stars that love fashion I am expecting some really great moments from this red carpet. British fashion is among some of my favorite for it’s innovation and we usually get a crop of fashion forward actresses, supermodels, and socialites take to this red carpet showcasing some of the best of British fashion, and some of the other international brands that are being honored. 
British fashion model and feminist activist Adowa Aboah recently was debuted as the cover girl for Edward Enninful’s inaugural British Vogue issue as the new Editor-in-Chief is nominated for Model of the Year. This award recognizes the global impact of a model who over the last 12 months has dominated the industry. With an influence that transcends the catwalk, the Model of The Year has made an outstanding contribution to the industry, garnering numerous editorial and advertising campaigns throughout the year. Adowa has definitely displayed that. She walked in almost every major show this year from Chanel to Marc Jacobs, was the cover girl of several international magazines, and several ad campaigns. For the British Fashion Awards red carpet I went to another of the nominees for Adowa to wear with this Céline Spring 2018 RTW long sleeve midi dress which features and abstract printed top and a white fringed skirt from Designer of the Year nominee Phoebe Philo for Céline. Phoebe is rumored to be leaving Céline and headed to Burberry now that Christopher Bailey has left the iconic British brand known for its outerwear, and honestly this might be the perfect platform to make that announcement in a grand way. I personally really want to see this Céline dress on a red carpet because the way it moved on the runway was just a dream, but I think it will take a special star to bring it to life on the red carpet and I think that Adowa is one of the very few who I think could make this look work. I think that paired with a smokey eye, a lip to match the burnt orange in the dress, and a pair of white Jimmy Choo ‘Brandon IWANTCHOO’ stretch fabric and leather booties that Adowa would really make this a major moment on this red carpet. 
Bella Hadid is also nominated for Model of the Year and I have to say of all of this years nominees I think she is the one that I am rooting for most. Bella has been a force to be reckoned with for a while, but I think this year was the year of Bella. She walked for all the major brands, she is a face of Dior Beauty, and has had so many major moment on the red carpet this year and I think that this has been the year of Bella. I wanted to see Bella rock the red carpet at the British Fashion Award representing Designer of the Year nominee Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior wearing this gorgeous grey Christian Dior Fall 2017 Couture strapless gown which features gorgeous textured detail, a sheer skirt, and a Charles Jamesian ‘Swan’ silhouette. Bella was the first person I thought of when I first saw this gown on the runway and was one of the very few looks from this collection I had even a glimmer of excitement about. I have mentioned several times that I am really fatigued with the sheer skirt trend, but Bella somehow usually makes me be okay with them somehow. I think that if Bella took this gown paired with a chic updo, winged kohl rimmed eyes, a bold red lip, a pair of grey velvet Rene Caovilla crystal trimmed sandals, and a statement vintage Bulgari diamond necklace from the 1930’s that she would deliver a moment that exudes nothing but glamour.
Gigi Hadid is the third Model of the Year nominee on this list and took home the title last year. I have to say that last year was the year of Gigi, but I think this year is the year of her sister and I know that she would not be upset to see her little sister take the title from her. While I went to major brands for Adowa and Bella I went to a rising talent for Gigi’s look for the 2017 British Fashion Awards. Michael Halpern for Halpern is nominated for British Emerging Talent – Womenswear and I think that if he took this teal sequin strapless cocktail dress that features pleated fan details from his Spring 2018 RTW collection and lengthened it into a glamorous gown that just hits the floor that it would be a major glam moment for Gigi to wear on this red carpet. What I love about this red carpet is that it gives the chance for these amazing emerging brands to get get a great moment on the red carpet, booting their profile. I think that if Gigi took this (modified) gown and paired it with old Hollywood waves, a coral pink lip, a pair of silver Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Coline’ crystal embellished sandals, and mismatched Messika diamond earrings like a stud and ear cuff to ensure that she can balance the distinct disco vibes of this look and ensuring she still looks modern. 
Jourdan Dunn might not be nominated for any of the awards at this years British Fashion Awards, but I would think it is a safe bet that the English model will walk the red carpet. Surprisingly in the past Jourdan has never worn a British brand on this red carpet instead opting for Brandon Maxwell and Mugler for the years she has attended in the past. I decided to keep that non Brit brand trend going by having Jourdan represent Gucci whose designer and executive are nominated for several awards this year. The sheer dress trend is nothing new and I am sure that we will see some sheer looks on this red carpet. I think that Jourdan would shut the red carpet down giving us ice capades realness wearing this Gucci Spring 2018 RTW ensemble which features a black sheer pleated one shoulder cocktail dress and a dazzling crystal beaded bodysuit. This is definitely a moment and it will take the right person to really make it work. I think that Jourdan has the diva attitude on the red carpet to really make it something special. If a supermodel couldn’t make this look work who could? I want to see Jourdan pair this dress with a pair of black Sophia Webster ‘Electra’ laser cut angel wing sandal booties, a sleek high bun, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of dazzling amethyst and diamond Chopard drop earrings to really push this look over the top. 
Kate Bosworth has been a constant supporter of great British brands on the red carpet and has attended many British Fashion Awards ceremonies in the past. I would love to see her jet set to London for this years red carpet to represent British Designer of the Year – Womenswear nominee Christopher Kane. Kate has worn several really beautiful Christopher Kane designs on the red carpet in the past and I think that the two would be a perfect collaboration for this red carpet. I think that if Kate took this white Christopher Kane Spring 2018 RTW icing embroidered crystal gown which features a sleeveless, maxi silhouette with a v neckline, all around cut outs, and an embellished top and lined it that we would be in for a really regal, modern moment on the British Fashion Awards red carpet. I don’t think that Kate would wear the gown as presented on the runway, but I think that with the lining that Kate would definitely turn this gown from a edgy moment to a really regal moment with just the subtle hint of edge. Adding a sleek updo, a slightly smokey eye, red lip, white Edie Parker ‘Wolf’ acrylic shard clutch, a pair of white Giuseppe Zanotti glittered platform sandals, and a pair of chic Harry Winston diamond drop earrings to this gown would all ensure that Kate delivers the most glamorous moment possible.
Erdem is nominated for British Designer of the Year – Womenswear and I think that on the heels of a very successful partnership with H&M that I am really excited to see who will wear the brand on the red carpet at the Fashion Awards this year.British socialite and model Poppy Delevingne to me is a sure bet of a probable guest at this years Fashion Awards. Poppy has a great sense of style and I think that she delivers some really great moments on the red carpet. I think that Poppy would be the perfect person to take this emerald green sheer lace Erdem Spring 2018 RTW ruffed gown and give it a truly major moment on the red carpet. The gown fits Poppy’s more bohemian glam style and I think would make for a perfect representation of the brand on this red carpet. Add a pair of emerald velvet Prada jeweled velvet block heel platform sandals, loose wavy bob, winged eyeliner, an oxblood red lip, and a pair of Cartier art deco diamond and emerald earrings to really perfectly punctuate this ensemble for Poppy. 
Winnie Harlow and Off-White are both nominated at this years Fashion Awards and I honestly think that they would be a perfect match for the red carpet. I think that if Winnie took this watercolor floral organza Off-White Spring 2018 RTW one shoulder, draped ruffle gown and paired it with big bouncy curls, a smokey eye, bold pink lips, silver Jaggar ‘Lane’ metallic leather sandals, and a pair of pink sapphire Chopard chandelier earrings that this would be a real red carpet win for both her and the brand. Both Winnie and Off-White were the unexpected stars that have emerged this year and I think that both have had an amazing year. I think that we have learned to embrace differences and that Winnie has shown that different is beautiful. This look would totally make for another gorgeous moment for her on the red carpet and I think that the Off-White signature urban glamour is something that Winnie could really make come to life on a red carpet.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List
As I have said now several times December is chock full of blockbuster film premieres. I am getting really excited to see what these casts have in store for their big premieres. I have the most excitement about what the cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi will wear. I have already made my wishes for the smaller international premieres for Daisy Ridley and Lupita Nyong’o so now all I have left are the big premieres in LA and London where I am expecting major star turnout. It’s is because of these premieres I decided to make my calendar year for my blog December to November for consideration for Best Dressed of the Year. These are most likely going to be the first looks that I will consider for Best Dressed of 2018, despite the fact that the red carpet will take place in 2017. 
Daisy Ridley is the one who I am most excited to see really knock it out of the ballpark during this tour. Her first tour was one that really made her one to watch and this one will be her chance to solidify her fashionista status. Daisy caught the eye of Chanel when she first burst onto the scene and I am really excited to see what she will bring during this tour. Couture has never been something Daisy has been afraid of, but that last time she wore couture was for the Oscars last year. While there has been a lot of couture to come down the runway for me to choose from I went back to the Chanel Spring 2017 Couture collection for the look I think is perfect for Daisy to rock on the red carpet. This silver and white gown with a column silhouette, a featured pouf at the knees, beaded embellishments, plunging neckline, sheer hem, and a belted waist was one of my favorite looks that came down the Spring 2017 Couture runways and I think that Daisy would definitely make this a beautiful moment on this red carpet. A chic updo, smokey eye, red lip, silver and PVC Aquazzura ‘Temptation’ crystal slingback sandals, and a pair of diamond and emerald Chopard earrings all would make this look absolute perfection. Definitely a Best of 2018 contender. 
Lupita Nyong’o went about her last Star Wars tour wearing space age inspired looks for all of her red carpets. As I said in my wishes for her to wear for her international tour stops I really want to see Lupita really double down on that again for this tour. For the LA premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi I would probably let my jaw drop to the floor if Lupita showed up on the red carpet wearing this yellow Tom Ford Spring 2018 RTW column gown which features long mirror sequin sleeves, strong shoulders, and ruched construction. This gown is that perfect embodiment of that space age glamour done in such a major manner and I think that if anyone can make this gown really come to life then it would be Lupita. If she styled this look with sleek hair, a dramatic yellow lined eye, a pair of yellowish gold Tom Ford snakeskin wedge pumps, a red lip, and yellow diamond Harry Winston cluster earrings then Lupita would definitely have an absolutely major moment on this red carpet. 
I am expecting that this premiere will be the first really major moment from Billie Lourd. She has had some smaller moments on the red carpet, but I think that she will really bring it this year. She has really solidified her acting star with her role in American Horror Story: Cult and her role in Star Wars is rumored to be much bigger than the cameo that she had in The Force Awakens. For a the ‘Star Wars Day’ celebration back in May Billie wore a custom Tom Ford cocktail look and a custom Gucci gown at the LACMA Gala just a few weeks ago. I think that is exactly what we should be looking for when we see Billie step out for the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I think that if she wore this beautiful and dramatic midnight blue Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Couture gown which features a v-neckline, crystal star embellishment throughout, and a dramatic train on skirt that Billie would ensure that she really makes people take notice. I think every star should have a major Elie Saab moment on the red carpet, and I think that this would be a great time for Billie to have hers. As a rising star a couture moment could really cement Billie as one to watch. I would keep the styling of this look pretty classic with old Hollywood waves over one shoulder, a kohl rimmed eye, red lip, silver Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Coline’ crystal encrusted sandals, and a pair of Adler diamond and sapphire wreath earrings to really make this a majorly glamorous moment. 
At the beginning of the year I would have not really gotten excited about seeing Gwendoline Christie on the red carpet. She has always been one who I know has potential to do good things on the red carpet, but she consistently let me down. I am really praying that she delivers a really great look for the premiere of The Last Jedi. Earlier this year Gwendoline wore a Sies Marjan dress and it was one of the looks that made me get excited about her style again. I went back to the fledgling designer for the look for Gwendoline to wear for this red carpet. I think that Gwen would definitely take this deep purple Sies Marjan Spring 2018 RTW draped silk midi dress and make it a major moment. I think that This is the kind of dress that Gwendoline can take and really own. It isn’t exactly what one might expect to see me pick for this red carpet, but I think that she would really make it a major moment. Styling this look with a loose wavy bob, kohl rimmed eyes, a light pink lips, and a pair of black leather Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps embellished with gunmetal sequins would all make for another really great moment for Gwendoline. 
Laura Dern has been one of my favorites to see on the red carpets this year and I have really loved to see what she has brought. I am expecting that Laura will deliver a really beautiful moment on the red carpet at this premiere. I went for bold color with this cobalt blue Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018 RTW gown constructed in stretch crepe which features a plunging layered neckline, princess seams for a tailored fit, white belted waist, and a high front slit for Laura to rock on this red carpet. I think that this very chic, simple, and perfectly tailored silhouette would make for a truly major moment for Laura. Pair this gown with loose waves, a simple lined eye, bold red lip, a pair of white Christian Louboutin ‘Nosy’ t-strap pumps, and diamond and sapphire Van Cleef & Arpels ear clips to really make this a really modern glam moment.
Jennifer Aniston was a last minute addition to this list. She is not in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but her hubby Justin Theroux is. I would imagine that Jen will make a trip to the red carpet as Justin’s plus one for this premiere. While I think that Jennifer has made some strides in stepping outside of her comfort zone this year I also think that she will stick to her small box for this premiere. I think that Jennifer would definitely wear this black long sleeve Valentino Spring 2018 mini dress which features textured details on one sleeve and I do think that this premiere would be a perfect moment for her to rock on this red carpet. The dress is very simple, but I think that would be exactly what Jennifer would wear since it really isn’t her night. I would add some glitz by pairing this dress with Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Sequin’ pumps covered in allover multicolored sequins. Her signature hairstyle, kohl rimmed eyes, and a red lip would all round out a perfect plus one ensemble.

2017 Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 2
The Gotham Independent Film Awards are the first in a string of award ceremonies that honor the best in independent films. The Gotham’s take place in the fall portion of awards season and are a small primer to see what stars will show up to promote their films during awards season. There is a lot of really great talent who are both nominated for a Gotham Award or have films that are nominated for one. I am hoping that we have a really great turn out for this red carpet, because the sheer amount of star power in the ranks of the films that are nominated is exciting. 
Allison Williams is one of the members of the ensemble of Get Out which is nominated for Best Feature. Because of her history of beautiful moments on the red carpet I really want to see Allison join her nominated co-star Daniel Kaluuya and director Jordan Peele to celebrate the film at the Gotham Awards. Oscar de la Renta has been a good pairing for Allison in the past and I think that this black and white Oscar de la Renta Spring 2018 RTW tulle dress which features an illusion neckline, and signature embroidery would be an amazing option for her to rock for this red carpet. As a guest I think that classic elegance is the perfect route for Allison to take. Completing the look with a pair of silver Jaggar ‘Lane’ metallic sandals, old Hollywood waves, a winged eye, red lip, and pair of Harry Winston diamond cluster earrings would all add to the glamour of this look.
Greta Gerwig is nominated for the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award thanks to her film Lady Bird. When it comes to her red carpet style Greta can either give me something chic and elegant or something I just totally don’t get. I am expecting that Greta will be on top form from here on out as she vies for one of the coveted Best Director nominations at the Oscars. For this red I went to classic with a twist with this black Altuzarra Spring 2018 RTW fitted dress which features a gold bead embroidered bodice, a daring split, and fringe details. This is a perfect elevated classic to be worn for this red carpet. I wanted to keep the rest of this look rather simple with a wavy hairstyle, smokey eye, nude lip, and a pair of black Off-White bow sandals to really let the bodice of the dress be the only statement this look needs. 
Right before the fall awards season started Mary J. Blige swapped stylists. I think that was a change to make her more of a movie star ahead of the 2018 awards season run. So far that has been a profitable change and I am really excited to see what Mary and new stylist Law Roach will have in store for a full fledged awards season. I went to an edgy version of an elevated classic with this black patent leather Aquilano.Rimondi Spring 2018 RTW sleeveless midi dress which features a ruched waist, a-line skirt, and lace up side for Mary to wear on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards where she is nominated for Breakthrough Actor and will receive the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Performance award with her Mudbound cast. This look is edgy enough to play into Mary’s style but classic enough to be worn on a film awards red carpet. Styling this look with a sleek updo, smokey eye, red lip, a black Judith Leiber Couture ‘Speccio’ faceted box clutch, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Strass’ embellished pumps, and a statement diamond and onyx Lorraine Schwartz cuff bracelet all would make this look perfect for the Gotham Awards red carpet.
Saoirse Ronan rounds out my wishes for the 2017 Gotham Independent Film Awards. I have to say that when she made her awards season run last year for Brooklyn I was kinda bored with Saoirse’s style, but I have been really excited about her looks recently. She is a contender for another awards season run this year and I am hoping that the magic that she has had recently continues. Gucci is definitely a brand that I think fits the vibe of an independent film awards ceremony red carpet. While the floral, grand grandma styles that Alessandro Michele designs for the house are usually the standard at these events I wanted to go for something just a little bit more impactful. This red Gucci cocktail dress featuring a contrasting pink bow detail at the neck, a back zip fastening, a sleeveless design, and a shift silhouette is definitely a statement and I think that Saoirse will ensure that this dress is given a major moment on the red carpet. I think that with a pair of matching glitter and velvet Gucci bee broach embellished sandals, a sleek low bun, a kohl rimmed eye, and a nude lip all would keep this look bold and beautiful.

2017 Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1
Now that we have the kick off of awards season behind us with the 2017 Hollywood Film Awards and the Academy Governors Awards we are picking up steam on the race to the 2018 Academy Awards. Over the next several weeks several before a break for the Christmas holidays we will see several of the smaller awards show red carpets take place and it just gets me more and more excited for awards season. The Gotham Independent Film Awards have pushed up their presentation of awards. Usually we see these awards handed out at the beginning of December, but we will see this years red carpet take place on Monday November 27, 2017. 
Allison Janney has already earned herself a Hollywood Film Award for her supporting role in I, Tonya and I think that despite the fact that she doesn’t have a nomination at the Gotham Independent Film Awards that she will be on the red carpet. Thanks to her boost from the Hollywood Film Awards win Allison is officially campaigning for that Best Supporting Actress Oscar and that usually means stepping out for awards shows where the film is nominated even if you aren’t there is no supporting actress category at the Gotham Awards, so it is not like Allison was snubbed for her performance. Since she isn’t nominated I wanted to pick a really chic moment, yet simple moment for Allison to wear on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards. This simple yet chic black Elizabeth Kennedy Spring 2018 RTW fitted cocktail dress which features pearl trim detail would be a perfect moment for Allison to bring to this red carpet. This dress modern and classic all at the same time and I think that would be the perfect kind of look for Allison to wear to keep up appearances. Running with the pearl detail I would add a black satin Roger Vivier ‘Jaipur’ pearly fringe minaudiere and a pair of black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistpearls’ sandals to old Hollywood waves, a simple lined eye, and red lips to make this look perfection.
Carey Mulligan is part of the cast of Mudbound which will be honored with the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Performance at the 2017 Gotham Independent Film Awards. I have been loving everything Carey has worn on the red carpet this year and I have pretty decent expectations for what she will wear as awards season continues. For the Gotham red carpet I want to see Carey wearing this green and purple geometric floral print Zac Posen Spring 2018 RTW full skirted cocktail dress. This is a chic moment and I think that Carey could definitely make this dress a beautiful look on the red carpet. With a sleek updo, pink lip, a simple defined eye, and a pair of silver Gucci ‘Allie’ bow embellished metallic sandals this look would be the epitome of chic elegance on the red carpet. 
Margot Robbie is nominated for Best Actress for her role as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya and I am praying that we will finally see an awards season where Margot is nominated. The vibe at the Gotham Independent Film Awards is usually more of a relaxed, cocktail approach to glamour. The awards invite even specifies that the dress code for the event is “Festive evening attire. The event is not black tie.” So I went to great cocktail dresses for guests to wear on this red carpet. I think that Margot would definitely fit that bill wearing this yellow Jacquemus Spring 2018 RTW off-the-shoulder sheath dress which features a v-neckline and a midi length hem. Margot’s stylist Kate Young loves Jacquemus having put many of her clients in the brand and wearing the brand to the Met Gala herself, so I think that we will most likely see Margot wearing one of his designs over the course of awards season and I think that this platform would be the perfect red carpet to wear this rising star designer. Loose waves, a simplistic face of makeup, yellow Gianvito Rossi strappy sandals, and a pair of Bulgari diamond, emerald, sapphire, and citrine earrings all would all the perfect finishing touches to this look. For Margot. 
Finishing off today’s wishes for the Gotham Independent Film Awards is the gorgeous Nicole Kidman, who will be given one of this years Gotham Tribute awards. At the beginning of the year Nicole was honestly one who kept breaking my heart on red carpet after red carpet, but then she took the Cannes Film Festival by storm and there really hasn’t been a single look that she has worn this year that I haven’t liked or loved. I am really hoping that she will keep that up on this red carpet. I think that this ivory white and black tuxedo inspired dress which features an embroidered detail on the dresses asymmetrical hem is very much in Nicole’s wheelhouse and that is is a perfect moment for the Gotham Awards red carpet. This is a very classic look with a modern, fashionable twist that makes it anything but boring. I would further that glamour with sleek hair tucked behind the ears, a kohl rimmed eyes, a bold red lip, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Biblio’ leather cutout pumps, and simple diamond Fred Leighton earrings.

“The Greatest Showman” NYC Premiere Red Carpet Wish List
There are a whole lot of blockbuster movie tours that are gearing up to kick off next month and I am really hoping that all of the stars bring it when it comes to the major red carpets. The Greatest Showman is one of the tours I am really looking forward to, because not only is it expected to be a blockbuster film with a great cast but also because it seems to be a dark horse contender during awards season. It’s because this that I am really excited to see what the stars of this film will bring to the red carpet at the NYC premiere on Monday December 18, 2017.
Michelle Williams bores me. Regular readers will know that. I am expecting to see her wearing yet another Louis Vuitton dress on this red carpet. Recently she wore a dress that was actually on my wish list for her, but I still didn’t feel the magic I wanted to. She doesn’t breathe life into anything. I went to this grey Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 RTW sleeveless dress which features a full structured skirt because it is a silhouette we haven’t seen Michelle wear yet and I am praying for a little variety. A sleek hairstyle, winged eyeliner, a red lip, a black sequin Louis Vuitton ‘Mini Capucines’ bag, and a pair of black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistsong’ sandals all could make this a really bold moment for Michelle, but I’m not holding my breath.
Rebecca Furguson is one who I don’t know much about. There are only three red carpet looks in the past that I had to help guide me in my decision. She wore Elie Saab and Vivienne Westwood to promote Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation and recently Emilia Wickstead to promote LIFE recently and honestly it isn’t much to go on. I just happened to be scrolling through Instagram while I was taking a break from trying to figure out what I want Rebecca to wear for this premiere and I saw this amazing deep red Stella McCartney sequined gown hanging on stylist Michela Erlanger’s rack and I thought that was a great idea. I scoured the online rack for this gown, but couldn’t find the same Stella gown anywhere. I did however come across this black Stella McCartney sweetheart neck, halter, velvet evening gown from Neiman Marcus and I thought that could be a really beautiful moment. This dress is classic old Hollywood glamour and the black gown is a perfect canvas for really great accessories. I would add a pair of simple black Christian Louboutin ‘Fliketta’ patent leather, ankle wrap pumps, old Hollywood waves, a winged eye, red lip, and statement Cartier High Jewellery including a pair of diamond and ruby panther drop earrings, and a statement diamond and ruby hidden watch cuff bracelet to really ensure that this look is worthy of a major movie star moment.
Really the only cast member of The Greatest Showman that I have high expectations for is Zendaya. I always have high expectations for Zendaya. She knows how to do fashion and I think that this will be a platform where she will deliver a really major moment on the red carpet. I think that this grey blue Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture a-line gown which features feathered embellishment, gold beading, and a plunging neckline. This gown is one that I am absolutely in love with and I am praying that Zendaya will bring this gown to life for this red carpet. This gown is true glamour define and I think that this premiere would be the perfect platform outside of awards season to give this gown the moment it deserves. A sleek high bun, smokey eye, light pink glossy lips, a pair of gold Sophia Webster ‘Lilico’ crystal embellished sandals, and vintage gold and diamond Harry Winston tassel earrings all would ensure that this look is nothing but glamour.
2017 Golden Horse Awards Red Carpet Wish List
The 2017 Golden Horse Awards will honor the best in Chinese-language films of 2016 and 2017 coming up on November 25, 2017. I love a good Chinese awards show or film festival because the stars of Chinese cinema love some glamour on the red carpet and I am expecting many gorgeous moments on the red carpet this years show. 
Jessica Chastain will present at this years Golden Horse Awards as the International Brand Ambassador for Piaget. Jessica is always one of my favorite stars to see on the red carpet and I am really looking forward to seeing what she will wear on the red carpet at the Golden Horse Awards. I think it is about time she went back to her old friend Elie Saab and this emerald green Fall 2017 Couture ball gown which features a velvet bodice, and gorgeous emerald and gold embroidery on the skirt to have a major moment on the red carpet. I think that this gown would be a major statement against Jessica’s alabaster skin and flame red locks. I would mostly let the gown do the talking adding a chic updo, kohl rimmed eyes, a red lip, emerald green velvet Jimmy Choo ‘Annie’ sandals, and Piaget jewels including a pair of gold, diamond, and emerald chandelier earrings, a gold and diamond watch bracelet, and a dainty diamond bracelet to really ensure that Jessica screams glamour on this red carpet. 
Shu Qi is nominated for the Best Leading Actress award at this years Golden Horse Awards for her film The Village of No Return. Shu has had some beautiful moments on the red carpet in the past from designers like Elie Saab Couture, Reem Acra, Alexander McQueen, and Valentino Couture. I am expecting a truly glamorous moment from Shu on this red carpet and I think that this silver and sage Zuhair Murad Fall 2017 Couture beaded gown which features pleated tulle inserts would be just that. I had actually originally picked this dress for Jessica, but I thought about the ease of glamorous that Shu exudes and I thought that this would be a much better moment on the red carpet on her than Jessica. Both would wear this gown differently, but I think that the effortlessness that Shu has would make this look perfect on the red carpet. This look would be perfect with a loose updo, defined eye, light pink lip, a silver Judith Leiber Couture coffered crocodile minaudiere, a pair of silver Jagger metallic leather sandals, and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry including a pair of diamond and emerald drop earrings and a five strand diamond bracelet.
