Paris Fashion Week: Valentino Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

Valentino always closes out couture week in a bang. Usually the front row and the show are packed with wow moments and I am expecting that to be the case once again next Wednesday. I always plan my day around being able to watch the live stream of the Valentino show and of course the arrivals. From iconic models to the biggest names in film and music we are usually treated to another of the most star studded shows of the week. Izabel Goulart has been front row at basically every Valentino show for the last year and I do want to see her front row at this show again next week. I have to say that she gives a totally different vibe than we are used to seeing from her when she steps out wearing Valentino. Typically we see Izabel wearing sheer gowns or mini dresses, but when she steps out in Valentino it is a much more sophisticated and glamorous vibe that we get. That chic, effortless approach to glam is exactly what I think we would get if Izabel arrived at the shows typical location at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild (TBC) wearing this seafoam green Valentino Fall 2018 RTW midi dress which features a ruffle trimmed plunging neckline, seamed waist, and long sleeves with riffled cuffs. This is the perfect mesh of modern glamour and bohemian elegance, which has become a signature of Valentino under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli. I do think that Izabel would look so chic wearing this dress; especially if she paired it with a dark green Valentino ‘Rockstud’ saddle shoulder bag, her signature glamorous waves, defined eyes, nude glossy lips, and a pair of gold Valentino ‘Metallic Studwrap’ leather slingback pumps. Irish actress Karen Gillan has killed the fashion game this year rocking looks from Thom Browne, Paco Rabanne, Christopher Kane, and of course Valentino. The black embellished one shoulder tulle gown that she wore for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her film The Party’s Just Beginning is definitely one of my Best Dressed of the Year contenders. She has a big year next year with Jumanji 2 and a yet to be titled Avengers movie to be released and still has a drama titled All Creatures Here Below to promote this year. So I would love to see her perch herself front row at the Valentino Fall 2018 Couture presentation to stalk out some looks that she just might want to rock for those premieres, in addition to any other red carpet she just might walk. I would love to see her do so wearing this black floral print Valentino Resort 2019 long sleeve mini dress which features a starched white collar neckline, belted waist, and pleated a-line skirt. This is a pretty classic style for Valentino, but I feel like Karen would make it something really special styling it with a chic bun, red lips, defined eyes, a red Valentino ‘Rockstud Spike’ quilted leather clutch, red nails, and a pair of red Valentino ‘Rockstud Spike’ cap toe, buckle strap pumps. Marion Cotillard rocked a simple yet edgy black velvet Valentino Couture gown last month at a Chopard party during the Cannes Film Festival and I have to say that I have really loved seeing Marion wearing Valentino since her Dior contract ended. She was front row at the Spring 2018 RTW show last September and I feel like she should step out and hunt for her next Valentino moment at this seasons couture show. I would love to see her do it bringing extra glamour to the front row wearing this black and gold polka dotted Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 mini dress which features voluminous ostrich feather detail sheer sleeves and a tiered skirt. I love this dress so much that a cropped version of this photo is actually the background on my laptop. It is fun, flirty, edgy, feminine, and dramatic all at the same time and I really do think that it would totally mesh perfectly with the edgy glam style that Marion has been bringing to the red carpet. I would keep the edge and visual drama of this look going adding a chic braided updo, smokey eyes, red lips, and a pair of black and white polka dot Valentino ‘Rockstud’ golden studded pumps. The Valentino show is one show where we can almost guarantee an appearance by the gorgeous Olivia Palermo. I went back to the Valentino Spring 2018 RTW collection for what I think would be the perfect look for Olivia to rock for this show. I have not been a huge fan of these layered smock dresses when they have come off the runway to be honest, but I have faith that if anyone could take this seafoam green bubble hem sequined embellished mini dress and make it work that it would be Olivia. She has taken similar styles and made them work in the past so I feel like this would be just another chic moment for her to bring during her front row fashion tour. I went to an extra special handbag to pair with this dress opting for a powder green Valentino ‘Lock Small’ snakeskin & mink studded shoulder bag worn as a clutch to add another special moment to this look for Olivia. Finishing the look with a romantic low bun, soft smokey eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of lime Jimmy Choo ‘Mischa’ crystal bucked block heel sandals all would ensure that this look is perfectly glamorous for the front row at this show. Thandie Newton made my Best of Cannes 2018 list with the Valentino ensemble she wore for the photocall for Solo: A Star Wars Story. She is being buzzed about for an Emmy nomination for her performance in Westworld so why wouldn’t she want to jaunt off to Paris and take in the Valentino Couture show from the front row? If she did I would love to see her be the star to bring the couture factor to the front row rocking this two two pink Valentino Spring 2018 Couture ensemble. The look features an oversized button down bodice and a pair of wrap style pants which are detailed with ostrich feathers. This look is definitely not for the fainthearted lovers of fashion. It could easily be a look that wears a person, but I think that if anyone could make this look come off it effortless ease that it would be Thandie. I would keep the styling rather simple leaving the runways feathered hat at home but adding a sleek ponytail, simple defined eyes, antique rose pink lips, and a pair of bubble gum pink Valentino ‘Rockstud Spike’ quilted leather sandals to really ensure that Thandie really wears this look and doesn’t let it wear her.

The Valentino Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Wednesday July 4, 2018. The show will stream live on valentino.com at 2:30 PM EST.

Paris Fashion Week: Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

Back in the day Elie Saab used to be one of the shows who I knew was going to be star studded, but over the last couple of seasons the star power has been going down in wattage. His designs also haven’t been worn as heavily on the red carpet either. I hope that the collection is going to be chock full of great potential red carpet moments and the front row is full wattage of star power.Spanish supermodel Nieves Alvarez has been a loyal front rower at an Elie Saab and I would love to see her maintain her perch front row at this seasons show. I went to the just presented Elie Saab Resort 2019 for the look I most want to see Nieves deliver on this front row. I love this red, black, and white long sleeve poppy print maxi dress and I really do think that Nieves is the perfect person to really bring this look to life. I looked around for another bag to compliment this dress but I couldn’t find a bag I love even more than the red suede saddle bag that the dress was paired with on the runway. Sleek center parted locks, simple makeup, and a pair of red Roger Vivier peep toe t-strap sandals would add the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble for Nieves. If you are a couture designer and you don’t have at least one star seated front row at your show wearing one of your couture creations are you doing it wrong? I tend to think so. So I try to feature at least one couture look in every set of my wishes for a couture show front row. For the Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture presentation I would love to see Ukrainian born actress and model Olga Kurylenko be the star to bring the couture factor to this front row wearing this chic black Elie Saab Spring 2019 Couture ensemble which features a sheer gold beaded jacket trimmed in ostrich feathers on the neck and cuffs and a sleeveless high low dress with a gold belted waist. This look inspires thoughts of 60’s socialites and I really do think that Olga would really deliver this look with effortless ease on this front row. I would keep the runways matching crystal embellished clutch adding a sleek high bun, winged eyeliner, dusty rose pink lips, and a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Sofia’ sandals to really make this a chic front row moment. s One person who we can usually expect to see front row at Elie Saab is the always chic Olivia Palermo. She makes the rounds during couture week attending all of the major shows. I want to see her maintain her perch at this show wearing a very chic ensemble from the brands Fall 2018 RTW collection. When I was picking looks for this front row I knew exactly what I wanted to pick for Olivia. I went right to this look which features a cream blazer with black trimming including a shawl lapel and lace down the shoulders and sleeves layered over a black sequin embellished dress which features sheer lace paneling. It is just a chic and sophisticated moment and I definitely think that if anyone could sell this look to me in a real effortless manner it would be Olivia. I would add a simple black beaded Elie Saab clutch, chic waves tucked behind the ears, defined eyes, nude lips, and a pair of statement black feather cuff Prada sandals to really make sure that this look fits Olivia’s personality to a t. Rounding out this set of wishes is supermodel Sara Sampaio. Like I said yesterday I feel like the odds of seeing Sara walk this runway is just as likely as seeing her front row. It would just be up to Mr. Saab as to where he would want to use her star power. If she even took part in any of the Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture presentation festivities. If she is perched on the front row to take in the newest collection I would love to see her give sexy glam vibes wearing this black Elie Saab Fall 2018 RTW sequined scarf tied neck jumpsuit which features ostrich feather sleeves, a deep V neckline, and a tapered leg. This was another really easy front row moment to pick. I honestly knew I wanted to feature this jumpsuit in this set of wishes and I picked the perfect person to wear it second. I do believe that Sara would really make this complicated look come across with simplicity and ease. The key to maintaining a look like this is picking the perfect styling and I think that if she paired this look with a sleek updo, smokey eyes, red lips, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass PVC’ crystal studded pumps that she would really own this moment.

The Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Wednesday July 4, 2018. The show will stream live on eliesaab.com at 6:30 AM EST.

Paris Fashion Week: Armani Prive Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

We have been in full swing for my wishes for stars to perch themselves front row at all of the biggest shows that will take place next week at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Usually the July front rows are less star studded than the January couture shows because we are in the midsummer lull before the steam train heads full force into awards season 2019 starting with the fall film festivals. One front row that usually has a great set of celebs turn out is the Armani Prive show and I am hoping that this seasons show’s front row is chock full of some of the biggest stars of film, music, and fashion. Cate Blanchett is the face of the Armani fragrance Si and has always been a loyal friend to the house. She has won both of her Oscars in Armani Prive and just wore two Armani Prive gowns during her run as the Madame Le President of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival jury. She has recently be re-wearing some of her most fabulous looks including her 2014 Golden Globes gown for the Cannes opening ceremony. There are definitely many looks that I think that Cate could bring out of the back of her closet to wear for this front row, but I picked another look off the most recent runway for her to rock next Tuesday. I would love to see Cate snatch up this blue crocodile leather blazer from the Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture collection paired with a white hard cuff button down shirt and a pair of navy and grey tapered wool pants. This is definitely a look that I feel Cate could wear for just about any more casual event that she could attend. The look is the perfect statement, but still classic at the same time. Easy waves, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Milano’ ankle strap pumps all would really ensure that this is classically glam moment. Dua Lipa is one of those rising style stars in music and in fashion. She rocked a bevy of great looks for the BRIT Awards earlier this year, including a custom Armani Prive gown. I would love to see Dua bring some youthful glam to the front row at her first couture show. That is exactly what would happen if she stepped out wearing this black Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture one shoulder romper which features iridescent crystal beaded pinstriping detail throughout. This is that fun youthful moment that seamed to flow heavily through the Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture collection and I definitely think that for her first ever front row that this would be a perfect moment for Dua. The glamour of this look would be kept even more youthful and statement making pairing this look with a chic updo, defined eyes, pink lips, and a pair of statement black Sophia Webster ‘Glacia’ multicolored crystal embellished sandals.Ever since Marion Cotillard was released from her Dior contract last year she has been experimenting with her style and with all kinds of designers. After Cannes I have this feeling that she will end up signing a contract with Chanel. I don’t want to see her bogged down by a brand ambassadorship again. I want to see her continue to play with brands and give all kinds of different looks on the red carpet. She did make the rounds back in January taking in several couture shows and Armani Prive was one of them. Her front row style was incredibly lacking so I want to see her go back and give some really major moments on the front rows. I feel like she would shut down the front row wearing this navy printed and embellished Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture mini dress which features an origami draped asymmetrical satin bodice and an embellished bubble hem skirt. It is definitely a fun, flirty, and feminine moment. It might be wasted as a front row look, but I definitely think that if anyone could make it really work it would be Marion. I would style this look with a chic updo, defined eyes, nude lips, and black lace Gianvito Rossi ‘Halle’ ankle cuff sandals to really make it a perfect front row moment for the French beauty. Nicole Kidman usually takes in the Armani Prive collections in January and since she is probably going to be hunting for an Emmy gown to come back as a presenter this year I said why not jet off from the set of Big Little Lies to take in this presentation in Paris. I have been in love with this black Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture sleeveless pencil dress which features multi tone blue 3D floral embellishments, sheer yoke, and a bellow the knee hem since it was presented back in January. I was expecting to see this look at an event like the Academy Award nominees luncheon or a Cannes Film Festival photocall, but here we are and this dress still hasn’t been worn. I totally think that Nicole would be the perfect person to snatch this dress off the runway and make it a chic front row moment. The dress is chic a chic classic moment and I think that if Nicole paired this dress with a sleek center parted hairstyle, defined eyes, light pink lips, and black satin Sergio Rossi ‘Godiva’ pumps that she would totally be able to hold her own on this front row. Picking Sara Sampaio to sit front row at this show could go one of three ways. 1) She could get all dolled up and own the front row at the Armani Prive Fall 2018 Couture presentation. 2) She could not show up at all. 3) She could skip the front row and walk the runway. I would be happy to see her front row or on the runway for sure. If she does perch herself front row I would love to see her do so wearing this pink Armani Prive Spring 2018 Couture ensemble which features a sequin embellished batwing jacket and a pair of matching magenta silk shorts. It is a fun and flirty look and I definitely think that if anyone could sell this look to me it would be a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. I think that with a pair of matching pink Tom Ford PVC embellished peep toe slingback sandals, sleek low bun, defined eyes, and rose pink lips that this look would be head to toe glamour.

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

One of the most star studded front rows during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is at Chanel. Thanks to all of the Chanel ambassadors and the friends of the house there are usually between 5 and 10 celebrities who are on the front row of a typical Chanel presentation. Couture shows usually bring out more rather than less and I am really excited to see who will be seated front row at this presentation next Tuesday. Blake Lively used to be a face of Chanel but now is just a good friend of the house. She will wear Chanel for all kinds of events. Most recently wearing a tweed and leather couture dress for the premiere of A Quiet Place. Blake is the only star on this list that I actually picked a couture dress for. This blush pink Chanel Spring 2018 Couture midi tiered dress might be a little more covered up than we are used to seeing from Blake. This more 60’s socialite style is definitely not what we are used to seeing from Blake. She loves a look that showcases either her boobs or her legs, often times both, and this look is in total contrast to that. I feel like this would be a really chic change of pace for Blake’s style and I think that if she paired this dress which a chic fishtail plaited braid, defined eyes, hot pink lips, a pair of vibrant peachy pink Christian Louboutin ‘Drama Sling’ spike studded pumps, and dazzling Lorraine Schwartz pink sapphire earrings. During her time in Cannes last month as a memer of the Critics Week jury Chloe Sevigny almost exclusivly wore Chanel, save for one Gucci gown at a Kering dinner, so I would love to see her jaunt off to Paris to take in the brands newest couture collection. I went to one of my favorite looks from the Chanel Cruise 2019 collection, which was presented in Paris last month, with this white and black suit which features a cropped jacket with PVC and ruffle detail pufffy sleeves and a matching a-line mini skirt. It really would take the right almost quirky personality to really be seen throough this look on a red carpet and I defintiely think that Chloe has the right brand of quirk to really make this look come to life. I think that with a center parted low bun, defined eyes, red lips, a black python and ruthenium finish metal Chanel chain strap minaudiere, and a pair of black Malone Souliers ‘Mauren’ silver strap mule pumps that this would be an absolutely edgy glam moment for Chloe. Speaking of edgy glam I am really hoping that we will see Kristen Stewart front row at this show coming off the heels of her wearing Chanel exclusively during her time on the Cannes 2018 feature film jury last month. She really did me proud giving all kinds of really great moments during that run and I would love to see her celebrate the brand yet again sitting front row. When I first saw this denim suit from the Chanel Cruise 2019 collection which features frayed details and capri length pants on the runway at the begining of May Kristen was the first, and only, person to come to mind. I really do feel like she would be the only person who could really sell this look to me on the red carpet like the front row at this presentation. I would keep the look very tomboy styling it with a punky coif, thick kohl rimmed eyes, red lips, a white Hanes x Karla ‘The Crop’ t-shirt, and a pair of white and grey Chanel stretch fabric and velvet sneakers to really play into her edgy and effortless sense of style. Since she was announced as a face of Chanel at the Oscars we have seen very little of Margot Robbie out and about. She did attend the Cruise 2019 presentation last month and I would love to see her jaunt back to Paris and attend the brands newest couture collection. I would have her snatch up a look off the Cruise 2019 runway opting for this blue and white printed midi dress which features ruched ribbon details on the straps and neckline and a tiered skirt. This is just a chic, flirty, and feminine moment and I think that it would be a really lovely moment for Margot to bring to this front row especially when paired with loose waves, pink lips, and a pair of white Gianvito Rossi ‘Frill’ leather strappy sandals. Rounding out the stars I want to see bring the glam to the front row is supermodel Suki Waterhouse. I love me a chic Suki moment and I was actually inspired by the pastel candy colored look that she wore for the Tribeca Film Festival Chanel Artists Dinner back in April for the look I want to see Suki wear next Tuesday should she perch herself front row at this presentation. I think that this flamingo pink Chnale Cruise 2019 tweed mini dress which features long sleeves and pocket details is so incredibly chic and I definitely think that the leggy British supermodel would definitely own it on the red carpet. Paring this look with the pink Chanel quilted bag the dress was paired with on the runway, winged eyeliner, nude lips, a Bardot inpsired updo, and a pair of nude Jimmy Choo ‘Kelly’ bow detail ankle strap pumps would really ensure that this is a totaly chic 60’s inspired moment for Suki to rock.

Paris Fashion Week: Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

This time next week the most fabulous of the worlds fabulous will have descended upon Paris to take in the Fall 2018 Couture shows. Paris Couture Fashion Week is one of my favorite times of the year because we get to see the newest designs from some of the most creative minds in the fashion industry. One of my favorite shows of the week is always Giambattista Valli. He gives glamour and drama like no other during the week and his designs are always a frothy confections that are incredibly daring. His designs have graced the red carpets at all the major film festivals and awards shows. So with festival season just around the corner and awards season coming right on the heels of that I am sure stars and stylists will be calling in their favorite looks from this collection moments after the designer takes his bow. One of the things I love about this show is that while other designers tend to focus more on the a-list celebrity Giambattista gives a good mix of one or two stars and a bunch of socialites. One of the frow regulars is usually Italian socialite Bianca Brandolini d’Adda. What I love about Bianca and her style is that while it isn’t necessarily in tune with what I typically think of Giambattista’s woman is but it always works. Bianca has a style that is this sexy and bohemian style that is always glamorous. So when I went to the runway to find a look for her to wear on the front row at this presentation next Monday I went to the brands Fall 2018 RTW collection picking this mixed print ensemble which features pink and yellow floral print ruffle detail long sleeve shirt and a pair of rust and olive sequin straight leg cropped pants for her. I feel like this look is totally something that Bianca would be drawn to and it is chic for the front row at a couture show. I feel like if she paired this look with a black Mansur Gavriel ‘Circle’ top handle bag, loose center parted beachy waves, defined eyes, nude lips, and a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Suri’ fur and glitter detail sandals that this would be a perfect front row moment for Bianca. Olivia Palermo is another typical socialite that makes the couture week front row rounds. She is usually perched on the front row of almost all of the shows during the week. One of the shows where she delivers one of the best looks of the week is when she perches herself front row at the Giambattista Valli Couture show. While most big names pick a look off the most recent runway I went back over a year ago and picked this Giambattista Valli Spring 2017 Couture collection. I definitely think that this cocktail ensemble which features a ruffled high neckline, long sleeves, 3D floral embroidery and a grey ostrich feather hem is something that Olivia would totally be drawn to. Olivia loves a feather moment and this dress is definitely a major feather moment. It would be a fun moment for a front row moment. To ensure that this look is perfection I would style it with a chic updo, light smokey eyes, blush pink lips, a grey Serupi crystal embellished clutch, and a pair of black Gianvito Rossi lace detail sandals. Rowan Blanchard has been one of my favorite young style stars and I would love to see her attend the Giambattista Valli Couture show next Monday. She has worn several cute, and dramatic, Giambattista Valli Couture cocktail ensembles and I really want to see her search for her next moment while sitting with the most glamorous of the glamorous. I feel like Rowan would definitely be able to sell this chic green floral embroidered Giambattista Valli Spring 2018 Couture mini dress to me to me on the front row. This chic flirty style which features a ruffled off the shoulder neckline and black ribbon bow details on the waist is definitely something that I have wanted to see on a red carpet, but I do really think that it would be a chic moment for a front row and I really do believe that Rowan would sell this dress to me. Add a romantic updo, green smokey eyes, pink lips, and a pair of emerald green Alexandre Birman ‘Clarita Nappa’ silk knotted strap sandals to really make this a really chic moment for Rowan. Another young star whom I would really love to see jaunt off to Paris is Black-ish and Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi. She has become a couture maven having rocked looks from many of the major couture houses and some of my favorite looks have come courtesy of Giambattista Valli. I feel like Yara would give a sexy, yet age appropriate and flirty moment on the front row of the Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week wearing this pink and grey floral print cocktail dress from the brands Spring 2018 Couture collection which features a beaded halter neckline, ruched bralet style bodice, and a mini length skater skirt. This is another of the flirty cocktail dresses from this collection that I really wanted to see brought to the red carpet and I really do think that Yara would be able to sell this dress to me on this front row. I have styled this look many different ways in past wishes, but for the front row I went a more casual way to bring down the dress from its uber sexy cocktail vibe that it inherently has. A chic braided updo, defined eyes, light pink lips, and a pair of rose pink Laurence Dacade glitter effect platform sandals all would really make sure that this is a perfect front row moment for Yara.

The Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Monday July 2, 2018

Paris Fashion Week: Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

One show I know we will see major gowns that will be see through the fall festival season through awards season and even into the Cannes Film Festival next year will be the Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture presentation. I am ready to see something a little different than what has become the norm from Ralph & Russo. The last several collections have actually started to blur together and I am really hoping that we will see something just as dramatic, but something that deviates to the left of what we have seen the past several seasons. Alessandra Ambrosio has been a long time friend of the house of Ralph & Russo having worn several looks from the brands on the red carpet and of course acting as the ‘La Marie’ at the brands Spring 2017 Couture show. I would love to see the former Victoria’s Secret angel bring glamour to the front row at this presentation wearing this bordeaux velvet Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 RTW cocktail dress which features a one shoulder neckline, a fitted bodice, and asymmetrical hem. This luxe and glamorous look is a lot more covered up than we are used to seeing from Alessandra but I think that for the front row of this show I think it would be the perfect option. With center parted loose waves, defined eyes, nude lips, a gold Ralph & Russo ‘Alina’ metallic python clutch, and a pair of gold studded Christian Louboutin ‘Spikoo’ PVC pointed toe ankle wrap pumps I know that this would be such a glamorous moment for Alessandra. It really surprises me that Fan Bingbing has never been seated front row at a Ralph & Russo presentation despite the fact that she has worn the brand over and over again on the red carpet. Her latest moment in the brand was when she wore a shimmering nude gown for the Cannes Film Festival opening dinner. I would love to see Fan have her firs R&R frow moment this season rocking this black Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Couture silk illusion skirt suit which is embroidered with over 10,000 beads and 20,000 meters of gold chain. This is a classic Fan look. Classic and ladylike. I know that if anyone has the personality to really sell this suit to me it would be Fan and I think that if she paired it with a chic bob, defined eyes, red lips, a black shiny alligator Louis Vuitton ‘Petite Boite Chapeau’ bag, and a pair of black patent Christian Louboutin ‘Lady Peep’ platform pumps that this would be a really chic front row moment for Fan. I have to say that after she picked a gown off the Ralph & Russo runway for her engagement portraits I really did expect Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex  to wear a gown from the brand on her wedding day. I don’t say that like I didn’t like the Givenchy and Stella McCartney gowns that Meghan did end up wearing, but they were not what I was expecting. At all. Now I know we don’t often see the British royals front row at a fashion show (Catherine has never been to a fashion show and the Queen just took in her first ever London Fashion Week show earlier this year,) but I definitely would love to see Meghan jet (or even more economical train) from London to Paris to take in some of the couture shows. I feel like she would be a perfect person to be the VIP centerpiece at the Ralph & Russo show. While I did pick couture for some of the stars I would like to see join Meghan on the front row I did pick a ready-to-wear look for her. I saw this smokey blush pink Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 RTW sleeveless dress which features a pointed collar, a tie at the neck, cinched waist, and an a-line silhouette and thought how chic and elegant it would be on her. I think that the rose color against her skin tone would be absolutely fantastic. Add a chic romantic updo, defined eyes, dark antique rose pink lips, a nude alligator Ralph & Russo ‘Eden’ clutch, and a pair of gold Aquazzura ‘Eclipse’ pumps to make this one of Meghan’s chicest casual moments yet.Supermodel Natalia Vodianova loves a food front row and I am sure that after she was front row at Virgil Abloh’s debut as the Louis Vuitton menswear creative director that we will see her stick around for at least one show during couture week. The Russian beauty gives a varried bevy of looks and that is one of the things I love most about her. Red is one of her favorite colors to wear and she loves drama so it was a no-brainier for me to pick this red Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Couture pantsuit which features more than 3,000 hand bunched ostrich feathers on the sleeves, 3D silk crepe petals on the jacket, and perfectly tailored pants. This suit also has more than 45,000 glass and crystal beads embroidered all over this suit. It is definitely that dramatic moment that I love from Natalia and honestly the runway’s styling and beauty is exactly what I would see from her (head wrap included) that I wouldn’t change a thing to make this the perfect front row moment for the supermodel.

The Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Monday July 2, 2018.

Paris Fashion Week: Christian Dior Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

Since she took over the reigns at Dior I have not been the biggest fan of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s work. She has been so incredibly repetitive with the looks that she has sent down the last 11 collections that she has presented. Where she has been relatively successful is in the couture collections. Two of her three couture collections have been really captivating to me and I am hoping that she will deliver something that I really love when she presents the Christian Dior Fall 2018 Couture collection on Monday July 2, 2018. Dior has many brand ambassadors and I have wishes for some of them to rock while perched front row at this presentation as well as some other friends of the house. Charlize Theron has been a Dior Darling since 2004 and maintained that relationship through now four creative directors. I have to admit that I personally haven’t been a huge fan of what Charlize has brought since Galliano was forced out. My least favorite period, for pretty much all of the Dior ambassadors, has been since Maria Grazia Chiuri took over the brand. I will say that the moment I saw this white long sleeve menswear shirt inspired midi dress from the Christian Dior Cruise 2019 collection which is paired with a skinny black tie and a black leather bustier I thought of Charlize. I thought about how dominatrix chic this look could be and I think that Charlize has the perfect mix of edge and glamour to really make this look work. With her hair styled in a sleek low bun, defined eyes, bold red glossy lips, a black ‘DIO(R)EVOLUTION’ clutch bag with a hand slot emblazoned with a Dior signature in aged silver-tone metal and mosaic in turquoise, white howlite, and onyx stone resin, and a pair of black and white Dior ‘Spectadior’ saddle shoe inspired high heeled pumps that this would give those definite sexy glam moments. At the 2018 Cannes Film Festival premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story Emilia Clarke deliver one of my favorite looks of the festival wearing a custom dark purple Christian Dior Couture gown. Emilia has sat front row at a Dior show before when she attended the Dior Spring 2016 RTW show, which was the final collection from Raf Simons. I would love to see Emilia take to the front row at the Dior Fall 2018 Couture presentation, maybe to start an early search for a potential Emmy gown. I feel like this violet floral embroidered Christian Dior Fall 2018 RTW tulle dress which features long sleeves and a ruffled hem with a strapless lining added to it would be such a flirty and feminine moment and I feel like it would be a perfect front row moment for Emilia. I haven’t been the biggest fan of her blonde locks but I think that if they were styled with a romantic updo that it would compliment this dress perfectly. Simple makeup and a pair of blue bell Aquazzura ‘Nathalie’ strappy sandals would add the perfect finishing touches for this flirty moment. It was about 2012 when Jennifer Lawrence signed her first contract with Dior and since then she has pretty much only worn the brand on the red carpet. She has been the only one of the Dior ambassadors who I really do think has mastered wearing Maria Grazia Chiuri’s designs on the red carpet. That actually the exact opposite of my feelings when she was wearing Raf’s designs for the house. There aren’t any films that I see Jennifer presenting this fall during festival season, but I still think that she should work her ambassador duties and make a trip to Paris for this show. I went very bohemian for her look opting to pick this dominantly dusty rose pink Christian Dior Fall 2017 RTW patchwork floral print dress which features an off the shoulder caped neckline and a flowing a-line skirt. It totally gives that Almost Famous vibe that we got a lot of from Jen earlier this year while she was promoting her film Red Sparrow. It was a new look for Jennifer and I have to say that I really ended up loving it and I would love to see that phase of her style journey continue. Pair this dress with bouncy beach curls, defined eyes, dusty rose pink lips, a dusty rose Dior ‘Miss Dior Pouch’ bag, Aquazzura ‘Pink Galaxy’ PVC, Crystal, and leather mule sandals, and a pair of pink Christian Dior “DiorSoRealRise” sunglasses to really continue those same bohemian vibes perfectly. Princess Charlene of Monaco is definitely one of the chicer royals out there. She has been seen wearing Dior many times since she became the Princess of Monaco and has sat front row at many Dior presentations over the years. I would love to see the Monégasque royal rock the front row at this presentation wearing one of my favorite looks from the Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture collection. I was enamored with this white domino print coat as soon as it walked the runway back in January and I have been praying for a royal to wear it ever since. Well that hasn’t happened, but I do feel like this would be a really great front row moment for Princess Charlene especially if she pairs it with a chic coif, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black patent leather Jimmy Choo ‘Kelley’ bow detail pumps. Finishing out the stars whom I would love to see on this front row is the gorgeous supermodel Winnie Harlow. She has been a front row fixture at Dior presentations recently and I really do think that we will see her front row at the Fall 2018 Couture show as well. I would also like to see Winnie bring couture to the front row wearing this black Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture sleeveless suit which features an origami folded oversized lapels and skinny pants. This is one of those statement moments that I definitely think that Winnie could be seen through. I feel many would get lost behind those lapels, but not Winnie. A braided updo, defined eyes, red lips, a black and red Christian Dior ‘J’Adior’ embroidered flap bag, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Cupidivipi’ patent leather and PVC platform peep toe slingback pumps, and black Christian Dior “DiorCelestial” rounded and oversized sunglasses all would really make this look a major moment on the front row at this presentation.

The Christian Dior Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Monday July 2, 2018. The show will stream live on dior.com at 8:30 AM EST.

Paris Fashion Week: Givenchy Fall 2018 Couture Presentation Front Row Red Carpet Wish List

A week from tomorrow Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week will kick off. The July edition of Paris Couture is really important because the gowns, casual looks, and cocktail ensembles that we see come down these runways will be the options to get stars through all of the fall film festivals, blockbuster movie premiere promo tours, the Emmy Awards, and the first half of awards season. The 21 big shows will undoubtedly show some really great moments to bring over the next several moments. One of the first major shows of the week will come on Sunday July 1, 2018 when Clare Waight Keller, on the heels of dressing Meghan Markle Duchess of Sussex for her wedding, will present her second couture collection for Givenchy. The collection will be titled ‘Caraman’ and be a tribute to the houses founder Hubert de Givenchy who passed away earlier this year. Since taking over the house Clare has delivered hit collection after hit collection and I am sure that this tribute collection will be another hit for her and I would love to see her have a star studded front row. Her ready-to-wear shows have been star studded, but there was a major absence of Hollywood star power at the Spring 2018 Couture show. I hope that is different this time. I went through some of the stars who have slayed the red carpets so far this year wearing Givenchy to pick five lovely ladies who I would really love to see perched front row to take Clare’s newest collection in. During her run as the Madame le President of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival jury Cate Blanchett rocked two Givenchy Couture ensembles. One a strapless pleated tulle lace jumpsuit and the other an ombré rainbow tiered gown. She has just wrapped the promo tour for Oceans 8 and is expected to promote two films this fall with Mowgli and The House with a Clock in its Walls, so I would love to see her take in the newest Givenchy Couture collection. She was among one of the many stars who were at Clare’s ready-to-wear debut. To sit front row at this show next Sunday I would love to see Cate rock this Givenchy Resort 2019 ensemble which features a chocolate brown sequin long sleeve tunic with an asymmetrical hem and a pair of ivory front pleated wide leg pants. As soon as I saw this look in the new lookbook back at the end of May Cate was the first person I thought of. It is that sharp yet relaxed sense of glamour that I think that Cate brings to the red carpet so often. I think that with simple waves, simple defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of white Aquazzura ‘Optic Mule’ nappa leather and PVC pointed toe buckled pumps that we would definitely see a really chic frow moment from Queen Cate. Fan Bingbing was also one of the stars who helped celebrate Clare’s first ready-to-wear collection back in October of 2017. Since then the most memorable moment that Fan has had in Givenchy was when she wore a black Givenchy Couture suit while promoting the announcement of production of her upcoming spy film 355 with Lupita Nyong’o, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, and Jessica Chastain. As regular readers will know Fan is one of my favorite red carpet stars because she isn’t afraid to take a risk. The look I would love to see her rock while perched front row is definitely a risk. This Givenchy Resort 2019 ensemble which features a dark pool blue long sleeve top with a dramatic ruffle and a patent leather midi skirt is a totally 80’s moment and I really don’t know many people that could sell this look to me like I know Fan could especially if she paired it with a sleek high ponytail, thick winged eyeliner, red lips, a black Givenchy ‘Infinity Flap’ chain detailed shoulder bag, and a pair of black Givenchy studded buckle strap sandals. As I have made my way down writing this post I have realized that I basically want a reunion of the stars who were at Clare Waight Keller’s debut at Givenchy last October. Julianne Moore joined Cate and Fan on that front row and I would love to see her bring her signature sense of glamour to the front row at the Givenchy Fall 2018 Couture show. During Cannes this year Julianne rocked Givenchy both on the red carpet and off. I feel like Julianne would look so incredibly chic wearing this cognac brown Givenchy Fall 2018 RTW long sleeve flapper draped dress. This is such a beautiful dress and I definitely think that it is something that Julianne would definitely be drawn to. This would be a head to toe frow chic moment if she pairs this gown with loose waves, defined eyes, burgundy lips, a chestnut Givenchy ‘GV3’ frame chain strap bag, bronze Brian Atwood metallic snakeskin effect ankle strap sandals, and a pair of Cartier High Jewelry diamond and orange topaz earrings. Like almost everyone else on this list Givenchy devotee Rooney Mara was also at Clare’s debut at the house and I would love to see her take in the newest couture collection. Rooney keeps this very basic and usually is seen in either black or white, sometimes a mix of the two. I did mix the two in my wish for her to rock on this frow picking this half white and half black Givenchy Resort 2019 long sleeve shift dress which features a small keyhole cutout on the bodice. This is that simple and chic style that we are used to seeing from Rooney on the red carpet and I think to take in a new Givenchy collection that this would be a perfect option. When it come to styling Rooney is usually rather simple so I would just add a sleek low bun, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black Givenchy ‘Shark Lock’ platform sandals. Rosamund Pike was the second person to get their hands on a couture creation by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival wearing a cream tiered lace gown paired with a matching coat that was lined in orange ombré ostrich feathers. That is still one of my favorite looks of the year and it just may make an appearance on a Best of the Year list at some point. So I would love to see Rosamund make an appearance on the front row at the Givenchy Fall 2018 Couture presentation. I took inspiration in that look picking this white Givenchy Fall 2018 RTW feather print dress which features long sleeves, strong shoulders, and a faux wrap skirt for her to rock from her perch. It is a chic statement moment and I think that if she paired this dress with an orange suede Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, chic waves, defined eyes, nude lips, a pair of nude suede Givenchy ‘Shark Lock’ platform sandals, and Katherine Jetter mexican fire opal pendant drop earrings that this would be a major moment for the front row.

The Givenchy Fall 2018 Couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week will take place on Sunday July 1, 2018. This show will stream live on Givenchy.com at 2PM EST.

“Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

I guess if it isn’t a cartoon series that I grew up with that I don’t really follow it up. I’ve never seen Hotel Transylvania let alone know that there was a sequel. So when I saw that we are now on the third installment of series I was surprised. I get to the point with some of these film series that it surprises me that people still attend the premieres, but there are some of out favorite stars who are expected to step out and promote this film. Selena Gomez is one of the main voices in the Hotel Transylvania series and we are expecting to see her step out at the LA premiere of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. In the past we have seen Selena promote the other installments of the series wearing looks from Versace, Alberta Ferretti, and Katie Ermilio and I am intrigued to see what she will bring to this red carpet. I don’t know if couture would ever be in play for a premiere like this, but I feel like this purple floral print Giambattista Valli Spring 2018 Couture flirty draped hater dress which features a plunging neckline, crystal embellishments, and stomach cutouts is the perfect dress for her to wear on a summer red carpet. This dress is light and floaty and I feel like Selena would really make this an absolutely chic moment on the red carpet. A loose updo, matching purple smokey eyes, nude lips, and a pair of anthracite grey Jimmy Choo ‘Annie’ glitter sandals would really keep this glamorous and flirty nature of this dress alive. Kathryn Hahn isn’t exactly what I think of when I think of a red carpet style star, but she has had some really chic moments in the past. For this premiere I went for disco dazzling picking a hot off the runway red crystal embellished Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Spring 2019 satin lapel tuxedo for her to have a really chic high fashion moment. It might not go with the ‘theme’ of the film but I do think it would be a chic moment for her. I think that with loose waves, defined eyes, nude lips, a red satin Inge Christopher crystal embellished lock clutch, and a pair of red velvet Charlotte Olympia ‘Bacall’ ribbed pumps would all add the perfect finishing touches to this look for Kathryn. New mom and supermodel Chrissy Teigan is one of the voiced in this film and I feel like we just might see her make her first real red carpet appearance since the birth of her second child with hubby John Legend. Since this is a kids movie she could very well make it a family night out with daughter Luna and John. I know Chrissy is the queen of the bounce back body and that is why I went to a typical dress I would pick for her to rock on the red carpet picking this black strapless Azzaro Spring 2018 Couture strapless mini dress which features silver sequin embroidery, a cummerbund waist, and draped detail. This is a sexy dress and I really do think that Chrissy could really make this dress come to life. It would hug her curves. It would give a sexy and glamorous moment for her to bring to this red carpet especially when paired with old Hollywood waves, smokey eyes, red lips, a black Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ beaded clutch, a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Virginie’ leather sandals, and Miu Miu dangling fringe crystal earrings.

The LA premiere of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation will take place on Saturday June 30, 2018.

“Sicario: Day of the Soldado” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Sicario: Day of the Soldado is gearing up for its promo tour. It may not be a gala screening at the Cannes Film Festival like the first film had, but it will have a red carpet premiere in Los Angeles next Tuesday June 26, 2018. The film stars Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin and the young up and coming actress Isabela Moner. She may not be a big name like Emily Blunt was in the first film, but Isabela is one that I am really excited to see how she will handle a major promo tour. She could go the big gown route, but I feel for this premiere that the perfect look for Isabela Moner to rock for this premiere is this dark blue and black ombré Marchesa Fall 2018 RTW tea length dress features a v-neckline, a floral print, and an A-line silhouette. This is a dark take on a princess dress and I think that it would be the perfect vibe for her to rock on this red carpet. Elegant and moody, but very much a dramatic moment is exactly what I would expect to see her bring to this red carpet. I feel like with glamorous waves, defined eyes, a cherry red lip, black Benedetta Boroli ‘Luna’ sandals, and a pair of Maxior ‘Crown’ garnet and red jade chandelier earrings that she would totally be able to sell this moment to me.
