“Night School” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Tomorrow I get back to officially scheduled event calendar, but before I do that I have one more movie premiere wish list for a film whose premiere date is yet to be announced. Night School staring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish looks hysterical and I really cannot wait to see what the two of them bring to the red carpet. Both are style stars in their own right and I would imagine that they will both be on top form when they step on to a red carpet to promote the film before it is released on September 24, 2018. Kevin Hart does bring some fashion factor to the red carpet when he steps out onto a red carpet and while I don’t think that this red carpet will be a full suit night let alone a tuxedo night. I went for a chic casual moment for Kevin to rock on this red carpet with this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2019 Menswear patchwork print and texture trucker jacket with intricate embroidery. I could see Kevin rocking the head to toe runway look honestly, but I wanted to make this look a little more “expected” and toned down for this red carpet. I wanted Kevin to have a statement menswear look, but also one that wouldn’t overly compete with the look I’ve picked for Tiffany. That is why I would style the runway jacket with a black Dolce & Gabbana logo plaque t-shirt, a pair of black Dolce & Gabbana classic skinny jeans, and black Dolce & Gabbana ‘London’ sneakers embroidered with a bee applique to really make this a chic moment for this red carpet.  When it comes to Tiffany Haddish I also went for a statement dress picking this black and gold Gucci ‘Gucci game’ logo pattern sequin slip dress. I’m usually not a huge fan of logomania on the red carpet, but I feel like Tiffany had the attitude to really make this look come to life on the red carpet and not be tacky. Her stylist Law Roach has also loved the resurgence of the classic GG logo and I think he would definitely pull this dress for Tiffany. I would let the dress do the talking, but I think that with a black satin Casadei draped bow clutch, burgundy lips, smokey eyes, pulled back teased curls, black Casadei open toe stiletto ankle wrap sandals, and a pair of 14k gold Jennifer Fisher ‘Samira’ hoop earrings would all really add the perfect finishing touches to this look for the premiere of Night School.

“Smallfoot” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Smallfoot is an upcoming Yeti in search of proof of humans animated feature that looks really cute. I have to say aside from Disney movies I don’t watch a whole lot of animated features anymore, but this might be one I watch. At home. On DVD. While you don’t see the cast the voice cast of this film is star studded we have Channing Tatum, Gina Rodriguez, Common, Yara Shahidi, and James Cordon among many others. This could be a really fun premiere red carpet. On top of the cast we could see some famous celebrity families show up on this red carpet.I decided that will we could see some of those celeb families like Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Pratt, or Beyonce attend this premiere that I just wanted to focus on the three main starlets of this film for this set of wishes. When it comes to Gina Rodriguez she is probably my least favorite, style wise, of this cast. She has yet to really wow me and I honestly don’t expect this premiere to be the place that she makes my jaw drop. I think that however she should have a chic moment that fits her incredibly well. I could have taken something off the runway for Gina, but I decided that I really loved this black Sachin + Babi Nior ‘Papenella’ sleeveless knot midi dress which features a gold sequin panel on a flared hem that I found on the virtual racks from Neiman Marcus. This is definitely something that I can see Gina being drawn to and I think that for a premiere for a movie like this that is would work well. A sleek updo, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Apostrophy’ pumps all would really make this a simple yet chic moment for Gina.Regular readers will know I love Yara Shahidi’s style. I went around and around with different options for her, but ultimately I decided to modify, ever so slightly, a cocktail dress from the Miu Miu Resort 2019 collection. I took a chic white sleeveless shift dress which features bold silver metal embellishments and a high turtleneck that was modeled by Liya Kebede and decided that I wanted to add a feathered hem like was seen on a skirt similar to this dress modeled by Suki Waterhouse. I think that the feathers just make this dress a little more youthful and glamorous for a Hollywood red carpet. Yara has this easy statuesque glamour and I really do think that she would be able to really carry this dress incredibly well on the red carpet. I think that with a curly bun updo hairstyle, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of silver Gianvito Rossi asymmetrical crystal detail sandals would add the perfect finishing touches on this ensemble. Rounding out this list is my favorite of these wishes for the always fabulous Zendaya. I wanted to go for a soft glamorous yet almost icy look and that is exactly what I found in this Moschino Resort 2019. This ballet pink cocktail dress which features intricate embellishment on the bodice, drop waist, and a rise and fall pleated skirt reminds me of the classic flapper dresses of the 1920’s and I think Zendaya would look absolutely glamorous wearing this dress on the red carpet. The dress itself on the runway was very sheer, so I would imagine that Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach would ask Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott to add some sort of matching silk lining so that the dress doesn’t loose its light airiness at all. I would keep the styling very glamorous with a fingerwave updo, defined winged eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of powder pink suede Aquazzura ‘Eden’ crystal embellished chandelier heel sandals all would really ensure that this ensemble is vintage inspired glamour from head to toe.

“Kin” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Kin is an upcoming Sci-Fi feature that I feel reminds me of a mix of The Host, Stranger Things, and Die Hard. It personally isn’t my kind of movie, but with Zoe Kravitz in the ranks of the cast of this film (which also stars James Franco, Dennis Quaid, Jack Reynor, and Myles Truitt) I knew I wanted to put a wish up on this list. Zoe is one of my favorite and one of the most underrated style stars out there right now and I want her to have a chic moment on the red carpet at this premiere ahead of its theatrical release on August 31, 2018.Zoe Kravitz was recently resigned as the face of the YSL fragrance ‘Black Opium.’ She has been a great ambassador for the brand wearing looks from the runway for the Venice Film Festival last year and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party this year and a custom velvet column gown for the Golden Globe Awards. While the brands creative director Anthony Vaccarello may have flanked himself with the likes of Kate Moss, Charlotte Casiraghi, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Amber Valletta, Anja Rubik, and Mica Argañaraz wearing various black mini dresses from his collections for the Met Gala earlier this year we saw Zoe show up on the red carpet wearing a vintage black lace Yves St. Laurent gown. I feel like its is very likely that Zoe would wear one of the many mini dresses that Anthony presented in his Fall 2018 RTW collection for this premiere, but I would like to see her dive into the archive once again. I went to 1stDibs.com and searched around looking at vintage Saint Laurent gowns and cocktail dresses for Zoe to wear on this red carpet. I went for effortless ease with this cream silk dotted damask vintage Yves Saint Laurent tiered slip gown from the 1970’s. This is one of those easy glam gowns that could wither be dressed down or dressed up. I think that for the premiere of Kin that since the gown airs on a more casual side of formal wear that I would pair it up with a half up and half down braided hairstyle, defined eyes, dark red lips, a pair of dark metallic gold Saint Laurent ‘Farrah’ platform block heel sandals, and a selection of IVY New York jewels including a pair of tsavorite and diamond cage drop earrings and a tsavorite and diamond oversized band ring. That styling would add the perfect modern glam touches to really make this a chic moment for a movie premiere.

Blake Lively’s “A Simple Favor” Press Tour Red Carpet Wish List

When it comes to promoting movies no one holds a candle to Blake Lively. Most promo tours are multiple days and travel to many major cities. Blake does most her promo duties in New York City and does multiple appearances in or two days. She can be seen walking into one appearance wearing one look and she can exit wearing another and that just happens all day long. The photos are usually snapped on the street instead of on a red carpet or in front of a step and repeat, and they are always some of the most glamorous press looks that anyone wears all year long. So with that in mind I wanted to shop the runways (and christianlouboutin.com) for the looks that I want to see Blake rock when she steps out to promote her newest movie A Simple Favor. We have already seen Blake rock four looks in one day while promoting this film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas earlier this year wearing Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Zimmerman, and Sonia Rykiel. If those looks are any indication the actual tour for the film is going to be great. So I went shopping on all the latest runways to pick 9 looks I want to see Blake rock over the duration of this tour (not including an actual premiere that wish is coming soon.) These are the press and party looks for events related to promoting the film. All of the television appearances, a visit to SiriusXM, and more are where I think we will see Blake wear these looks. Up first is one of two hot off the runway couture looks that I picked for Blake to wear on this red carpet. When going out and doing press we don’t really see Blake wear couture, but I definitely think that this rose and lavender iridescent Azzaro Fall 2018 Couture halter dress which features an all over pleated construction and a metal collar neckline is perfect for Blake. It is something that is easy and glamorous and I could definitely see Blake being photographed wearing this dress with old Hollywood waves, simple makeup, and a pair of gold glitter lurex & PVC Christian Louboutin ‘Fossiliza’ sandals as she sashays from her apartment into her car and into a television studio. When it comes to what Blake wears while being snapped on the sidewalk in the middle of the day has ranged from the hottest off the ready to wear runway dresses to Jenny Packham gowns worn as maxi dresses. So why wouldn’t she wear this blue and white sailor stripe Balmain Resort 2019 mini dress which features ruffled shoulders, a defined waist, and long sleeves for a middle of the day appearance? Many would keep this for an event like the Teen Choice Awards or the MTV Video Music Awards, but I can definitely think that Blake would own this look on the sidewalk with a sleek low bun, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of blue suede Christian Louboutin ‘Drama’ spike toe pumps.

One of the best moments of Blake’s last blitz promo tour was a yellow Brandon Maxwell ensemble she wore for an appearance on Good Morning America. I went back to the brand for another great moment from the designer to bring some major glamour to this promo tour. I really do think that Blake would rock something like this rose pink satin halter scarf neck top and red pebble crepe flared leg pants ensemble from the Brandon Maxwell Fall 2018 RTW collection for something like Jimmy Kimmel Live! especially when paired with a wavy ponytail, red lips, and shoe box printed Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps.

I loved the color of that the yellow Brandon Maxwell ensemble from last year on Blake so much that I really wanted to see her wear the color again and that is why I opted for this sun yellow Carolina Herrera Fall 2018 RTW silk midi dress which features a square neckline, spaghetti straps, fitted bodice, and asymmetric draping. This has been one of my favorite dresses from this collection and I have been waiting for the right person to bring it to life on the red carpet and I do believe that Blake is the perfect person to really bring this dress to life. A messy fishtail braid over one shoulder, red lips, and a pair of yellow measuring tape print Christian Louboutin ‘Metrissandal’ sandals would really make this a chic moment, with a fun touch.

One thing we can always count on seeing during one of these promo tours from Blake is at least one look from Chanel. It has been a long time since her contract with the brand expired, but she has remained a friend of the house. She is one of the few who can really dig into the brands archives for the red carpet. They don’t let many do that, but for Blake they do. I didn’t dig into the archives for this blue and white print pleated midi dress in fact its actually one of the most recent collections that the brand has put out. This chic dress is summer ready and I think that with loose waves, nude lips, defined eyes, and white Christian Louboutin ‘Choca Spikes’ silver spike embellished sandals that this would be another really chic moment for Blake to deliver over the course of this promo tour. The second hot off the runway couture look I want to see Blake rock is this black and gold abstract web embroidered ensemble from the Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture collection which features an oversized blazer coat and a mini dress with a plunging neckline. Now this is the kind of look I want to see from Blake during a press event, maybe a late night talk show, but I wonder if Elie Saab would lend hot off the runway couture for a late night appearance? This isn’t Cannes where they will lend the latest stuff for street style, but I feel like if anyone could make it happen it would be Blake. While most would see this as an after party look for something like the Venice or Toronto Film Festivals I can see Blake rocking this outfit with confidence in the middle of the day as she sashays down the sidewalks of New York City from location to location. It is honestly the kind of look I feel we would have seen her Gossip Girl character Serena Van Der Woodson rock on the sidewalks as well. I went with the black and gold jacquard leopard print Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pointed to pumps to add another dose of sexy drama to this ensemble. Finishing the look with a loose updo and red lips really would make this look one of my favorites from this press tour.

Blake has rocked many, many designers over the years, but one brand that I am surprised she has never worn is Naeem Khan. Blake loves drama and sparkle and that is exactly what Naeem Khan is all about, even in his more “daywear” designs. I really do think that Blake would be drawn to this ensemble from the Naeem Khan Fall 2018 RTW collection which features a green short sleeve pussy bow tie blouse and a pair of sick bead, sequin, and pearl button embellished high waisted pants. It is that elevated casual look that Blake likes to stick to during these tours and I really think that with teased hair worn down with braided pieces pulling it back, easy neutral makeup, and a pair of black lace Christian Louboutin ‘Nouba’ peep toe slingback sandals that it would be a really chic moment.

I hope you all don’t get bored of seeing his black No. 21 Resort 2019 short suit which features a double breasted blazer with white shirting details attached to the hem and cuff and a pair of mini Bermuda shorts on my wish lists, because until someone wears it it is one of my favorite more casual options out there right now. This is that look that I would give to a client going to a cocktail event but doesn’t want to be too dressed up. Blake gives that effortless vibe sometimes and I think that she would definitely be able to really sell this kind of a look to me on the red carpet. This is the kind of look that you could pair with everything from flat brogue style shoes to sky high stilettos. I honestly believe that Blake believes the taller the shoe the closer to god and that is why I want to see her pair this look with a purposefully messy ponytail, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of sporty black and white Christian Louboutin ‘Twistissima’ mesh toe pumps.

The final look I have on this set of wishes for Blake is this burgundy, blue, and green color blocked Peter Pilotto Fall 2018 RTW cady frill shoulder jumpsuit which features asymmetrical sleeves, mint braided rope belt, and a deep V-neckline. While everything on this list was done in alphabetical order it make sense that this jumpsuit was the last look. It was the final option I picked for Blake. It is definitely something that I can picture her wearing, but I wonder the likelihood of it being worn. This collection hasn’t been embraced by the Hollywood style set as much as I would have expected, but I think that Blake should snatch this jumpsuit up for an appearance on a show like The Late Late Show with James Cordon paired with dark brown Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ crystal embellished pumps

So tell me, which of these looks do you most want to see Blake bring to life while she promotes A Simple Favor? The movie will be released in theaters on September 14, 2018.

“BlacKkKlansman” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

BlacKkKlansman first debuted at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to a roaring crowd at the finish of the screening and then went on to win Grand Prize of the Jury, not the Palme d’Or. I would have expected this film to make another appearance at the Toronto Film Festival, but because it has a theatrical release date of August 10, 2018 and the fact that it wasn’t announced with many of the other Cannes films have been announced for TIFF this year I don’t think we can expect to see that. I would imagine however that the film will have a big gala premiere in LA, New York, Washington D.C. (I could see the Smithsonian African American Museum fighting to host a premiere,) or in Colorado where the film is set. My money would be on one of the first three, and it really could be held in any one (or more) of them.  Laura Harrier is a face of Louis Vuitton so it is a pretty solid bet that she will wear the brand on the red carpet. She has only stepped out a few times this year wearing anything other than Louis Vuitton. In fact while she was in Cannes promoting the film she wore three Louis Vuitton looks for official promotional stops including the premiere, photocall, and the closing ceremony. So I went to my girl Evita who helps edit looks from the runway and turn them into custom looks. I started doing this because we don’t always see runway looks on the red carpet and as I look at runways I see potential in different details. To create this custom Louis Vuitton tea length gown we took black and white sequin detail from the skirt of one look to create the bustier, the peach and grey feathers from the cape of another to create the a-line tea length skirt, and topping it off with the black leather bow belt from another look. It made for one of my favorite looks that me and Evita came up with based on this collection. Is this a real possibility? Who knows because we did come up with our design on our own, but we did take cues from what we see from Louis Vuitton. When it comes to the styling I want to see complimentary statement making styles adding a sleek low bun, smokey eyes, nude lips, a pair of black Louis Vuitton ‘Call Back’ monogram ankle strap and fox fur puff detail sandals, and Bulgari diamond, emerald, gold, amethyst, and quartz drop earrings to really make sure that this look is perfection from head to toe. When I put my Cannes wishes together for this premiere the only member of the cast that I had in it was Laura, but when it came to the actual red carpet I was very intrigued with Damaris Lewis. She rocked a head to toe Off White ensemble for the films premiere in Cannes and then an iridescent Roberto Cavalli look for the films photocall. Each look was eye catching and it got me very, very intrigued by Damaris’s style and I cannot wait to see some more. For a premiere right before the film is released in theaters I would love to see Damaris take a red carpet by storm wearing this bold yellow leather Ronald Van Der Kemp Fall 2018 Couture pencil dress which features a strapless sweetheart neckline, below the knee hemp, and a cutout detail. This sexy dress is perfect for a red carpet like this and I think that Damaris would be able to sell this look to me like few others could. Add her short pixie, smokey eyes, bold red lips, a pair of gold Giuseppe Zanotti ‘G-Heel’ pointed toe pumps, and a gold Giuseppe Zanotti snake cuff to really make this a very sexy moment for Damaris to bring to life on this red carpet.

“The Happytime Murders” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

I watched the trailer for The Happytime Murders and I think I was scared for life. With a tag line like “No Sesame. All Street” I should have known what I was in for. This movie is a Muppet’s movie for grownups, I feel like I am the target audience as a 25 year old “millennial” who doesn’t want to let go of their childhood, but if anything makes me want to abandon my childhood it id definitely this movie. It stars a bevy of really funny people including Joel McHale, Elizabeth Banks, Melissa McCarthy, and Maya Rudolph. I usually love their humor, but this movie just looks crude. That means a lot coming from me I can guarantee that. The cast can bring good fashion to the red carpet though. That is probably the only thing related to this movie that I’m actually looking forward to. I know this film won’t be a film festival screener at any of them, so I feel like we will see a red carpet premiere for the film in LA ahead of its theatrical release on August 24, 2018. Elizabeth Banks knows how to bring a chic moment to the red carpet. She is probably the one who could bring the most fashON moment of the night. When I picked this yellow pleated Azzaro Fall 2018 Couture I didn’t know what the content of the film was. I wonder if Azzaro would lend hot off the runway couture for a premiere like this, but I really do believe that it is something that Elizabeth would be drawn to for a red carpet moment. I think that the short flirty glamour of this look which is edged up with the black wide belted waist is a perfect end of summer movie premiere look, but I guess I just wonder what brands might want to be attached to this kind of movie. Will brands lend or will we see off the rack looks more on this red carpet? I think that if Elizabeth brings this Azzaro dress to the red carpet with a sleek updo, smokey eyes, nude lips, a black velvet Tyler Ellis ‘Aimee’ clutch, and a pair of black and yellow Sergio Rossi ankle strap bow detail sandals that she would definitely be a bright ray of sunshine. I will admit that after writing my wish for Elizabeth I completely rethought the rest of the looks on this wish list. I had picked an off the rack Valentino long sleeve tulle and lace gown for Maya Rudolph to wear on this red carpet, but it just seemed too much when I got the vibe of the film. I think that Maya would be much more comfortable wearing something like this red Dolce & Gabbana fish print dress which features a round neck, short sleeves, a tie waist and a pleated knee length skirt. It is easy and breezy and I think that is more of the vibe that the stars of this movie would turn to for this premiere. I could be entirely wrong. Someone like Maya could show up in a black blazer, white t-shirt, and jeans. I personally think that this dress with old Hollywood waves, smokey eyes, red lips, a black & gold Jimmy Choo ‘J Box’ clutch, and a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Lancer’ gold studded strappy pumps would make for a chic red carpet moment.Rounding out this list is the star of the film Melissa McCarthy. Over the last year and a half I have come to be more of a fan of Melissa’s style and I really am interested in seeing what she will bring to this red carpet. I would love to see Melissa rock this hibiscus pink Prabal Gurung ‘McEwan’ ruffle dress from 11Honore for this premiere. 11Honore is a size-inclusive shopping site that for the first time ever, gives more women the option to experience the best designer clothing and celebrate and honor their bodies, beauty and style. They only sell sizes 10 to 20 showing women with curves that fashion isn’t just for the size zero. Prabal has been one of the brands during fashion month that has included full figured models on the runway joining the likes of Michael Kors and Christian Siriano. I love that and I think that is a message that Melissa McCarthy, who for a short period of time designed a plus size clothing line, would get behind for the red carpet. I would let the dress, which is very chic in itself, pretty much be the center of attention with this look adding a romantic updo, defined eyes, matching pink lips, and a pair of ballet pink Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pearl detail pointed toe pumps to make it a real perfect moment for Melissa.

“The Old Man & the Gun” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

We learned yesterday that The Old Man & His Gun has been selected as a special screening premiere during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. I wonder if with that premiere happening at the major film festival if it will screen outside of a festival before it is released in theaters on September 28, 2018. With a star like Elisabeth Moss who doesn’t really seem to like to do red carpets I wouldn’t hold my breath, but who knows? When it comes to her red carpet style I have never been blown away with Elisabeth’s style. I was hoping that when The Handmaid’s Tale became such a critically acclaimed production that we would really see this bold side of Elisabeth’s style. I always thought that when she was winning for her performance in Mad Men that she had great style, but that did not happen. She has also become almost an unofficial brand ambassador for Dior, and you know my thoughts on Dior ambassadors. If there is a premiere in LA for The Old Man & the Gun I would love to see Elisabeth step away from Dior, but I kept her favored midi silhouette. I really do think that this black Prabal Gurung Resort 2019 floral embroidered tea length gown which features a strapless neckline, 3D black and orange calla lily embellishment on the hip, and pockets(!!!) is the perfect moment for Elisabeth to rock on this red carpet. The shape is nothing new for her, but I think that in black with the visual floral detail on the hip push it in the right direction. I would keep the styling rather simple pairing her now strawberry blonde locks in a loose bun updo, defined eyes, soft rose pink lips, and a pair of black Roger Vivier gold flower strass embellished buckle detail pumps to really help Elisabeth get her style back on track to being Best Dressed once again.

Escape to the French Countryside: Monique Lhuillier Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear

For her Spring 2019 RTW collection Monique Lhuillier wants to transport you to the French countryside, where the essence of sophisticated luxury is provoked by a poetic elegance. Embracing the authenticity of the Monique Lhuillier brand, this season’s girl is joyous and carefree. A celebratory palette of dusty rose, cherry red, sea foam, fuchsia, yellow, lavender and champagne infuses romance and reverie into the collection. Monique traded in her slot on the New York Fashion Week calendar in favor of out of season showing. Last year she held a runway show in Paris during couture, but that only lasted the one season. Now we get lookbooks, but this season it was shot on location at Chateau de Villette which is seated just outside of Paris. This season didn’t feel repetitive despite being more of the same. I feel like it was the setting that really punctuated the glamour of this season.Billowing chiffons, French tulles, Point d’esprit and flowing organza are sprinkled with elegant embroidery and feather butterflies. Graphic and modern touches add an edgy perspective, with contrasting lace borders arranged in bold stripes over sculpted, iconic silhouettes. Glitter confetti and pearl beading mimic champagne bubbles. The fluidity of the silhouettes made me dream of floating in a lush, garden-like setting evoking pure fantasy. The air is undeniably celebratory. This collection is undoubtedly headed for the red carpet, and there are plenty of potential moments hiding in the pages of this season lookbook.  Who else would you like to see bring looks from this collection to life on the red carpet?

“The Little Stranger” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

As I was watching the trailer for The Little Stranger, which will release in theater August 31, 2018, I got taken back to the same kind of space as I did when I watched Mother! It is one of those movies that has a horror side but seems more like a psychological thriller than anything else. Based on that idea it could really be a film festival movie, but I’m not sure if it will yet. If not a typical red carpet premiere in LA or London would be perfect for this film. We don’t often see Charlotte Rampling on the red carpet and she isn’t one that makes waves. She tends to stick to pantsuits, more specifically Armani Prive pantsuits. I didn’t push her boundaries opting to pick a chic pantsuit from the brand right off the latest couture runway. I can definitely picture Charlotte wearing this black and gold Armani Prive Fall 2018 Couture suit which features a checker board print jacket with strong shoulders and velour notch lapels and a pair of velvet pants. Of course I would imagine that it would be paired with a black silk or velvet round neck shell because I definitely don’t think that we would ever see Charlotte go bare chested on the red carpet. A gold satin Armani Prive crystal studded clutch, her classic hair and makeup, and a pair of black Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ leather mid heel pumps all would ensure that this is an incredibly chic moment for Charlotte. When Ruth Wilson burst onto the scene when The Affair started back in 2014. Since then I have been very up and down when it comes to her style. I really want to see Ruth back on top. That is why I went for a really dazzling moment with this gold and silver sequin Oscar de la Renta Fall 2018 RTW strapless scroll detail midi cocktail dress. I definitely think that Ruth will make this a really glamorous moment for a horror genre movie premiere. While Jennifer Lawrence might have worn nothing but couture gowns while promoting Mother! that film had some steam as the tour started for awards season love. It didn’t pan out to win any awards, and I don’t expect that from this awards either. I think that Ruth would love this dress and when paired with romantic curls, defined eyes, dark pink lips, and a pair of gold Aquazzura ‘Josephine’ strappy sandals it would be a moment to put her back on top of the style game.

“Juliet, Naked” LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Usually we have a few waves of what types of films come out during the year. Romantic comedies usually come out around Valentine’s Day, the beginning of August, and there may be one or two that come toward the end of the year which are more holiday centered. Juliet, Naked is on the August wave of RomCom releases and I am very interested in seeing what the cast will bring to a red carpet premiere. Rose Byrne stars in Juliet, Naked and I am really excited to see what she will bring. I love me a Rose Byrne red carpet moment and I feel like she will bring something incredibly chic to this red carpet. I went a little more dazzling that we typically see on the red carpet for the premiere of a RomCom with this silver sequin Erdem Fall 2018 RTW strapless cocktail dress which features a very defined sweetheart neckline, 3D floral embellishments, and a tea length hem. This is definitely more of an old Hollywood glamour look than we usually see for a premiere of this type of movie. Usually for a romantic comedy we see light, breezy, and flirty cocktail looks and simple gowns. This heavily embellished dress is definitely something I think Rose would be drawn to. I would raise the hemline just a little bit to be right below the knee to make it a little less gown like and more cocktail like. Finishing the look with a purposefully messy updo, simple defined eyes, dark red lips, a silver Nancy Gonzalez ‘Geo’ kiss-lock metallic crocodile minaudiere, silver Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind’ coarse glitter sandals, and a pair of vintage diamond flower cluster earrings from Beladora would really ensure that Rose has an absolutely gorgeous moment on this red carpet. Lily Newmark is a newer actress. We haven’t seen much of her style yet, but from what I have seen I would say that it is this quirky take on glamour. She has caught the eyes of brands like Chanel, Prada, and Schiaparelli. When it comes to couture on a RomCom red carpet it isn’t very common, especially when the wearer isn’t the lead star in the film, but I really do think that Lily might be able to make that happen. I was drawn to the idea of her wearing this beige Schiaparelli Spring 2018 Couture strapless tea length gown which features 3D embroidery, a tired skirt, and bustier bodice. It would match her skin tone almost perfectly and be a ‘naked dress’ without being naked. I love that idea. It almost would look like the gown is made just for her and not something she pulled off the runway. I would honestly keep the styling for this gown really simple adding a sleek low bun, defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of nude Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ crystal encrusted strappy sandals to really make this a very chic moment on the red carpet.
