Tomorrow in New York City The Princess Grace Foundation will hand out its annual awards to rising stars in theater, film, playwriting, dance, and choreography. The night celebrates the arts and usually includes appearances from some of the glamouratti including Queen Latifah, Naomi Campbell, Viola Davis, Eva Longoria, Zendaya, and more. I don’t know who all will be on the red carpet tomorrow aside from her serene highness the Princess of Monaco, so she is the only one who features on today’s wish list. Typically we see Princess Charlene of Monaco on this red carpet wearing a look from Christian Dior. Well last year she did break that mold and wore a look from Ralph Lauren. Princess Charlene doesn’t typically break out of her small dossier of brands. That includes Dior, Ralph Lauren, Akris, Versace, and Giambattista Valli. It would surprise me if she broke that mold this season. For tomorrow’s red carpet I went for something glamorous and modern with this white Christian Dior Spring 2018 RTW strapless ballgown which features a vest inspired bodice and an a-line organza skirt (which I would want to see lined for her serene highness.) It is beautiful and glamorous and modern. I am honestly shocked that this gown hasn’t been worn on a red carpet yet and I definitely think that Princess Charlene would be a perfect person to bring this gown to life on the red carpet. A sleek updo, defined eyes, dusty rose pink lips, a pair of white and gold Charlotte Olympia ‘Quintessential’ sandals, and a statement vintage Van Cleef & Arpels gold set diamond earrings and necklace would add the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble.
The 2018 Princess Grace Awards will take place tomorrow October 16, 2018.
