15 Favorite Looks From Resort 2020

Today is the start of couture week which means that aside from a couple of collections that will be held until their release the Resort 2020 collections has been released. Since the first show on April 29th to now we have slowly been introduced to the latest collections from the biggest fashion labels. I was easily able to cut the collections down to 23 favorites, but I knew for sake of time that this list could only showcase no more than 15 of my favorite looks. So I started to pick stars to wear them and once those ideas were in my head it was a lot easier to cut the list down to just 15. Resort is much more of a commercial season. It is all about sales. It is the season that sits on racks in stores the longest, from December to April, and I am definitely excited to see many looks from this season collections on the red carpet between now and then.  Balmain: Balmain has seen a reemergence as one of my favorite. For a short while I was pretty over Olivier Rousting’s sexy style, but while that is still the core of his design aesthetic I do feel like he has engineered. His Resort 2020 lookbook had 99 images, 147 looks, and the first time he has incorporated menswear into his womenswear collections. Overall there did seem to be two very different collections that made up this collection it was the tribal meets 90s and his audition for Chanel all put into one collection. It definitely made me want to keep watching where Olivier is headed and hopefully it will be to bigger and better! As I was flipping through this collection I was picturing a lot of custom looks inspired by the details in the collection (one is coming tomorrow in by Lion King premiere wishes) but it was this light was denim sleeveless mermaid gown which features a white feathered skirt that I knew right away could be a major fashON moment on the red carpet and it was Miley Cyrus whom I immediately thought would be the perfect person to bring it to life on the red carpet.

Carolina Herrera: There has been some controversy around Wes Gordon’s Resort 2020 collection. He was called out by the cultural minister of Mexico Alejandra Frausto. The minister authored a letter to Carolina Herrera accusing it of using, for its own ends, embroidery techniques and patterns specific to certain Mexican indigenous communities. Now the cultural appropriation debate has been thrown around a lot lately and I have to say that I definitely can understand why. Before this story broke in the New York Times I did see a bit of Mexican inspiration in the looks in this collection it just wasn’t until I started seeing side by sides of actual intricate pattern and embroidery did I see how deep it went. If Wes wanted to bring his spin on these techniques then I definitely believe that he should have worked with the actual Mexican artisans to craft the textiles and embroidery that make up the collection. Now that all being said this collection was chock full of amazing fashion moments I definitely want to see on the red carpet. I do wonder, and slightly fear, that this collection will be (especially the implicated looks) blacklisted from wear on a Hollywood red carpet. The moment I saw this strapless black a-line cocktail dress which features a fitted bodice, full skirt, and bright color floral-embroidered bustier I fell in love with it. It is a very chic and twee moment while I believe that Millie Bobby Brown would own.

Chanel: The Resort 2020 show was the first in the Post Karl Lagerfeld era for the brand. Once again the house is being helmed by a woman, Karl’s right hand Virginie Viard. Honestly my first thought when I saw the images of this collection was “Karl is that you?” While there is someone new at the helm everything in the collection was what we have come to expect from Chanel over the last 15 years. It honestly made me feel a little hypocritical after tearing the hard shifts in style at Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Celine to shred. Now I am really interested in seeing what Virginie’s first Chanel Couture collection this week will bring. That being said there were just a few looks from this Cruise 2020 collection that I really think would be amazing moments on the red carpet. I love this blue plaid chiffon tiered gown which features a crisscross halter neckline and a chain and ribbon belted waist. It definitely fits into the 70’s bohemia trend that did seem to pop up into many of this seasons collections and while that isn’t what we typically see Keira Knightley bring to life on a red carpet I definitely think this is a perfect gown for her. David Koma: Since David Koma left his position as the creative director at Mugler almost 2 years ago to focus on his eponymous label he has reignited my love for the brand. It was getting very repetitive and while he has stayed true to the codes he has set forward for the label it has been on a new and forward looking vision. That was obviously the case when it came to the David Koma Resort 2020 collection. He definitely showed his signature styles in this seasons interpretations, colors, and trims while also showing some new and extra looks. This sky blue cropped denim jacket with a high color and puffy feathered sleeves paired with skinny high waisted jeans with a tuxedo stripe down the side was the thing I was immediately drawn too and I think it has Cardi B’s name written all over it.

Gucci: I have to say that while I was slow to start on the Gucci by Alessandra Michele aesthetic and just as I was full steam ahead his Spring 2019, Fall 2019 and Resort 2020 collections have made me weaver again. The Resort 2020 collection was staged in Rome with a very costume-y thread of Roman togas as inspiration and shown by the light of flashlights given to guests sitting on the front row. That all being said there are lots of details I am looking forward to seeing turned into custom looks. Now you might be surprised that of the few looks that I liked from this collection that the one that made this list is a bone and red Roman toga inspired gown but when I saw it I thought immediately of Tilda Swinton. I believe it is she and only she could snatch this work off the runway and make it work on the red carpet.

Huishan Zhang: Sometimes a look that is incredibly simple speaks to me in ways that even a couture gown can’t. That is what happened when I was flipping through the Huishan Zhang Resort 2020 collection. I have long been a fan of this London based designer, but when it comes to the world of celebrity dressing I tend to think he is highly underrated. The looks in this collection were simple yet sophisticated with just enough of a flair to make it special. This oyster silk cami top paired with a khaki pleated high waisted midi skirt trimmed in tweed isn’t anything overly fantastic, but when I saw it and thought of it on Kate Bosworth I knew it was a very special look. J. Mendel: I always love a glamorous moment from J. Mendel. The New York based couturier always delivers absolutely beautiful gowns and cocktail dresses and this season was no different. The collection was chock full of pastel colored moments that I am sure that starlets will be clamoring to. My favorite look of the collection was also the biggest. I love this sky blue and sand embroidered tulle strapless ballgown which features a puffy sleeve bolero, intricate bustier bodice, and a dramatic train. The gown would be a perfect look for Camila Cabello. She just started working with Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, the styling team behind Jennifer Lopez, Hailee Steinfeld, and Lily Collins, so I definitely think that this could be a real option.

Marchesa: Last week on the heels of the presentation of the Resort 2020 collection it was announced that one of the co-founders of Marchesa, Keren Craig, was exiting the company leaving Georgina Chapman in charge solo at the helm of the label. It makes me wonder what the future of the brand is. It has not been the prominent red carpet brand it was prior to the Weinstein Scandal. The stars who have brought Marchesa looks to life on the red carpet have been carefully curated and include Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani, Constance Wu, Kate Beckinsale, Lily Collins, Paz Vega, Patricia Clarkson, Rita Ora, Priyanka Chopra, and Vanessa Hudgens. All of these stars wore Marchesa prior to the brands fall from grace and have slowly started to come around to the brand again. The Marchesa Resort 2020 collection is FULL of looks that deserve a red carpet moment and I am hoping that as fall festival, blockbuster movie premiere, and awards season is gearing up and I definitely believe that some of these looks should be on the racks of stars optioning looks for their red carpet appearances. I would love to see Selena Gomez take this dark lilac Marchesa Resort 2020 bead and crystal embellished organza and duchess satin gown which features a slim fit, a single sheer cap sleeve, bateau neckline, illusion floral-embellished bodice, cascading ruffle skirt, and a daring side slit a bring it to life on a red carpet.

Max Mara: Max Mara was one of the few brands who actually opted to showcase their Resort 2020 collections in a runway show instead of a lookbook. For the Resort season big luxury brands have been doing big destination shows. This season alone saw shows in Rome, Marrakesh, New York City, Australia, and in Max Mara’s case Berlin. This season Max Mara creative director Ian Griffiths referenced Berlin born iconic actress Marlene Dietrich, but done in a very “Max Mara” manner. I believe that the collection is one of the best that the label has put forward in recent seasons. It has the same sense of everyday wearability, but also seemed to have more red carpet potential than we are used to seeing from a Max Mara collection. When I was looking at this collection I was immediately drawn to the idea of seeing Outlander star Caitriona Balfe wearing this red ensemble which features a red sheer lurex turtleneck (which I would like to be paired with either a matching cami or bandeau for modesty) and an absolutely amazing red 3D floral textured, fil coupé detail column skirt. Paco Rabanne: I tend to find that while Paco Rabanne is an iconic label that the major fashion moments that creative director Julien Dossena dreams up are often left to the runways and the racks of stores and don’t get the red carpet moments that they deserve. This season is Dossena seemed to take the intricate chainmail signatures of Paco Rabanne and mesh them with this sort of disco meets Little House on the Prairie dynamic that on paper shouldn’t work, but in reality it did. My favorite look from this collection was more of a classic Paco style look with this silver floral printed lurex midi dress which features a mock neck, gathered waist, a line skirt, and dramatic flared sleeves which I really want to see on Amy Adams.

Prabal Gurung: I always love a Prabal Gurung collection. Since his debut almost 10 years ago I have enjoyed watching him continue to grow as a designer and continue to be embraced more and more by Hollywood. His Resort 2020 collection really underscored why stars continue to flock to his creations. He took his signature pieces and gave them a pastel disco glam update. As I flipped through the lookbook from image to image I got excited to see the amount of amazing potential moments that could come down the upcoming red carpets. I got to this pink and blue watercolor floral pattern sequin embellished gown which features a one-shoulder sweetheart neckline, bow draping at back which turns into a dramatic train, and a ruffle draped side slit and I got super excited. I went around in circles on who I thought could really sell this look to me on the red carpet, and I mean really sell it to me. I had someone else down as who I thought I was going to pick, but as I was writing this paragraph and looking at the gown more and more Taylor Swift just keeps popping into my mind. It fits this sugary sweet vibe that she is exuding in the lead up to the drop of her new album Lover on August 23, 2019.

Proenza Schouler: In the collections following the quick jaunt to Paris in July of 2017 I have been craving some looks that seem ready for the red carpet again. I believe that finally has happened with the release of the Proenza Schouler Resort 2020 collection. It was a collection designed exclusively in neutrals, but the construction was perfect. While there were no real gowns or cocktail moments I definitely think looks from this collection work perfectly for press and more casual events. The piece I was immediately drawn to was this winter white double, contrasting lapel color and gold button-detailed coat. I wouldn’t mind having this coat in my closet, but I really want to see it sent to Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.Rosie Assoulin: As I have mentioned several times in this post the Resort 2020 collections reignited my fire for some brands that I love, but have been a little stagnant over the last couple of seasons. One of those labels was Rosie Assoulin. I have been kinda loving one or two looks from Rosie’s collections, but rather bored overall as she doesn’t really do anything new anymore. Upon reflection this collection wasn’t that much different than what we are used to seeing from Rosie, but somehow it seemed like a breath of fresh air. Even it it was more of the same. We have seen this lime green ‘Alek’ silk faille tea length gown which features a halter neck, a chiffon sash ties which at neck, a drop waist, and a full ball skirt from Rosie before in different iterations. It is almost a signature look for her now and I have to say that I didn’t realize it until I was writing this as it just seemed so fresh. I still love it and definitely want to see Emilia Clarke bring it to life on a red carpet sometime. Hopefully soon.

Victoria Beckham: When she made her debut as a designer Victoria Beckham was all about fitted pencil dresses and glamorous gowns. In the 10 years she has been in business the focus of her collections have shifted from those pencil dresses and gowns to more of a loose and casual look. It has gone on the style journey as Victoria’s own personal style has changed. I love that she is authentic to herself. She is her woman, and women who want to be her buy into what she sells. There have rarely been gowns in Victoria’s collections as of late so I was really exited to see this Colombian emerald green mock neck pleated gown which features an elongated fit, tonal yoke and waist panels, front leg slit, and a keyhole slit on the bodice in the Victoria Beckham Resort 2020 collection. We have seen Victoria Beckham loose its prominence on the red carpet, but I am really hopeful that we will see this gown on the red carpet and I believe that Michelle Monaghan is the perfect person to bring it to life.

Zac Posen: Finally we close with another brand who as of late I have not been as enamored with, but has reignited my fire with their Resort 2020 collection. I will always remember the Zac Posen Spring 2008 RTW collection. It was one of the first collections I remember loving and season after season watching Zac create and dream has been a joy. The last couple of seasons, all presented in lookbooks, have been very similar and cut and dry. I have been waiting to see him deliver some major moments and following the amazing looks he created for Julia Garner, Nina Dobrev, Jourdan Dunn, Katie Holmes, and Deepika Padukone to wear for the Met Gala this year he released a collection that is just screaming for stars to wear it on the red carpet. Over the last years Nina Dobrev has built a relationship with Zac thanks to her new stylist Kate Young and when I saw this black and gold glitter patterned chiffon bustier ballgown I thought how absolutely beautiful it would be on the young actress. She hasn’t given us a big nior princess moment on the red carpet yet and I definitely think she has the chops to really pull this look off with effortless ease.

Overall I was quite excited with the Resort 2020 season. I am even more excited for the start of the Fall 2019 Couture season today. Fashion is getting me excited again. I was starting to feel a bit of fashion fatigue. I was bored. I thought about shuttering If I Was A Stylist. But thanks to these 15 collections, and many more individual looks from so many other collections I have some of my spark back! What looks do you find inspired? Who do you want to see wearing any of these looks on the red carpet?

10 Looks I Want To See On The Red Carpet From The Spring 2020 Menswear Collections

I have been watching the Spring 2020 Menswear collection runways closely over the last several weeks from New York to London to Florence to Milan to Paris. Has it been by favorite season? No. Not in the least. When I do these several week long lists of favorites I usually have a hard time editing them down to just 10 because there are too many options. While there were jackets, shirts, pants, shoes, and more that I liked on an individual level that I liked overall looks were not up to the same standards that designers have set over the last several seasons. When it comes to menswear on the red carpet many stars wear custom made more classic styles than what typically come down a runway, but there are 10 looks I definitely want to see on the red carpet. Alexander McQueen: I miss seeing Alexander McQueen menswear on the red carpet. The brands creative director Sarah Burton has decided this year to show her menswear collection in private appointments releasing a lookbook of the collection to media sites like Vogue.com and WWD. The Alexander McQueen Spring 2020 Menswear lookbook only consisted of 9 looks. I wanted every single piece. The inner magpie in me was immediately drawn to this black tuxedo which features an intricate crystal embellished embroidery. I have lauded Darren Criss lately for really embracing his inner magpie and I definitely believe that he would be able to make this look a major moment on the red carpet. Maybe for the Emmy’s?

Celine: I have been eating my words of hate about Heidi Slimane at Celine. I personally wanted almost every jacket and coat that Heidi sent down the Paris Fashion Week runway for the Celine Spring 2020 Menswear collection. What I did notice was that it was a lot of the same styles, even in the same colors and details, that he sent down the runway at Saint Laurent. Now menswear doesn’t have the same diversity of style that womenswear does, but I want to see Heidi try something new. But I know that isn’t going to happen because he definitely lives by the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mentality. I actually have several options from this collection that I want to see on the red carpet, but it was the fact that this ensemble which features a chocolate leather trucker jacket, black and white polka dotted button down, and dark grey pinstripe pants made me think of Brad Pitt I knew it was the one to feature on this list. The fact that a runway look made me think of someone who I do not think of when creating wish lists at all proves that Heidi Slimane’s Celine is a magical brand. Dior Man: Since his debut last June Kim Jones has been killing the game at Dior Man. He has taken the classic code of the Dior man and made him modern. The way he incorporates not only classic menswear, but also the more feminine codes of original Christian Dior womenswear is brilliant. It makes me want to see what he would do as the womenswear creative director. Literally when I see the brand on the likes of Gwendoline Christie, Bella Hadid, and Chloe Grace Moretz wearing the brand just as easily as Nicholas Hoult, Nick Jonas, and A$AP Rocky I feel like he could bring major hype and sales back to the Dior label. The Dior Man Spring 2020 Menswear show opened strong with this dove grey and powder blue new take on the Morning Suit which features an asymmetrical lapel paired with an untucked button down, slim fit pants, and matching sneakers and I was sold from the get go. The look needs someone with an effortless cool to make it really come to life on the red carpet and that is why I think Timothee Chalamet is the perfect person to put this look on his rack. He does have the promo tour for Little Women coming up.

Dries Van Noten: One of my favorite designers, for both womenswear and menswear, is Dries Van Noten. He is a master of print, embellishment, cut, draping, fabrication, and styling. His shows are always a visual feast. He doesn’t go for big theatrics when it comes to his shows letting the clothes speak for themselves. I tend to think he is one of the more underrated designers and one of the least utilized on the red carpet with the most potential. I personally want many pieces of this collection for my wardrobe. I LOVE this grey plaid double breasted suit which was paired with a green floral print button down. It would want to wear this for a great dinner date or to one of my more dressed up days of work. I also think that it would be a great option for Eddie Redmayne to consider as he and his stylist start planning looks for fall film festival season where he is expected to be promoting The Aeronauts. Emporio Armani: When it comes to any Armani collection, save for the Prive shows, you have to wade through a lot of the same before you find the 2-4 pieces that really stand out. That was no different with this Emporio Armani Spring 2020 Menswear show, which almost reached 100 looks. When I think of the Armani man I think of classic and perfectly tailored which is why I always scratch my head at the brands runway shows which typically feature more of a loose fit look than what we see from the brand when sold or worn. There is a bit of a disconnect, in my mind at least. But like I said there are typically a small number of pieces that I end up drawn to this navy double breasted tuxedo jacket which features pixelated chevron embroidery. This is the style of look I expect from Armani and Henry Golding, who does classic with a twist in the best way, would rock it. Now I would leave the satin pants from the runway at home in favor of something a little more classic and fitted.

Givenchy: This season Givenchy creative director Clare Waight Keller decided to do things a little differently. First she decided to host her first solo menswear show. Since she took the reigns of Givenchy over almost 2 years ago she has shown her menswear mostly along side her womenswear on the runway adding a lookbook for each season to show additional looks. She also decided this season to leave the brand usual perch during Paris Fashion Week to be a centerpiece show during Florence’s Pitti Uomo fashion celebration. Like almost all the collections this season this one was full of pieces I loved. This was the only show I got to watch on a livestream this season and when I saw this black and silver sequined coat I let out a bit of a gay gasp and got some major wardrobe envy. It is a statement piece and I definitely want to see it on a red carpet at some point. Chadwick Boseman has many projects coming out and given the fact he is a great friend to the house of Givenchy I feel like it isn’t a stretch to wish to see him bring this coat to life.GmbH: There are always so many shows during each season it is hard for me to look through all of them. If it isn’t a top label brand, like any of the other brands on this list, then it needs a good preview look on Vogue Runway. Well Berlin based brand GmbH did just that. The brands tailored coats that came down the Spring 2020 Menswear runway during Paris Fashion Week. The brand has shown collections for several seasons, but this was the first I was drawn to click on the collection and actually inspect the clothes that have come down the runway. There were definitely many things that I was drawn to, but when I pick looks for this kind of list it is the ones whom I immediately see someone wearing the look that ultimately make the list. They might not be something of my particular personal taste. That is the case with this look which features a loose fit white button down paired with high waisted gold chainmail loose fit pants which I immediately pictured on Miguel.

Saint Laurent: Like Clare Waight Keller this season Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello decided to forgo the brands typical seat on the Paris Fashion Week schedule to show his Spring 2020 Menswear show on a Malibu, California beach. The collection was very much what we have come to expect from Saint Laurent. I feel that while Anthony was the perfect choice to pick up where Heidi Slimane left off that now that Heidi is back, and in a major way, I want to see something new from Anthony at Saint Laurent. What is Anthony’s take? That is what I want to know. That being said this collection was incredibly good. It was full of looks that were red carpet ready and that can easily transfer from the runway and red carpet to inside of someone’s closet (is anyone from YSL is reading this and wants to send me samples to add to my wardrobe I am game!). Rami Malek has been a great friend to Saint Laurent this year including being a guest of the label to this years Met Gala so he was already on my mind when I was looking through this collection and really popped into my mind when I saw this white double breasted skinny suit paired with a black button down and a crystal studded silk ascot. Valentino: My heart has gone to Pierpaolo Piccioli’s collections for Valentino since he became the solo creative director for the band. The looks have definitely veered away from the suit and tie kind of vibe that the brand was known for under the houses eponymous founder to more of a street wear and every day wearable label. That was most evident this season. The looks that Pierpaolo sent down the runway for the Valentino Spring 2020 Menswear show. He started the show strong giving me my favorite look from the collection with this orange and purple bowling baggy fit bowling shirt and a baggy high waisted pant with a tapered ankle. I want to be this cool. I don’t typically like much of an oversized vibe, especially not for myself, but I want to wear this while going grocery shopping. I feel like I might have to fight Aladdin star Mena Massoud for this look though.

Versace: Donatella Versace referenced The Prodigy and the bands late front man (and friend of hers) Keith Flint as the source of inspiration for the Versace Spring 2020 Menswear collection. It was a bit of 80’s rock and roll meets 90’s grunge meets punk and Versace glam. I believe that the collection will definitely be a hit with the music set like MIGOS, Kanye, and Nick Jonas, but it was Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller that came to mind when I was thinking of the perfect person to wear this solid black and grey plaid Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde double breasted fitted suit. I saw this suit and immediately fell in love. I want it in my closet and I am sure that someone over the course of the next several months will bring it to life on the red carpet.

So tell me what was your favorite look or collection from the Spring 2020 Menswear season? Is there someone you want to see wearing one of these looks? Don’t be afraid to leave a comment with your thoughts!

2019 BET Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

The BET Awards red carpet can be all over the place. Given the level of fashON that we have seen on the red carpets this year I am hoping that we see a more consistent sense of glamour on this red carpet. Like some of the other off season awards shows like the MTV Movie & Television Awards and the Teen Choice Awards we don’t typically see everyone who is nominated show up for the red carpet at the BET Awards. So while I may have 5 days of wishes for this red carpet I am expecting only a percentage of these stars to bring the fashion to the red carpet this weekend. Alicia Keys has made a resurgence this year. From hosting the Grammy Awards to attending the Met Gala and other events. She has been making the fashion rounds serving looks and showing me that while she had faded into the background of my mind that she shouldn’t have. Alicia is nominated for BET Her Award for her song “Raise A Man” and with stiff competition in the category I wonder if she will show up. I definitely want to see Alicia to bring up some major fashion on the red carpet at BET Awards and I think that this Alexander McQueen Fall 2019 RTW ensemble which features intricate earrings inspired crystal embellishments on a sheer netting with a bustier bodice and tapered leg pants would definitely be a major moment for Alicia to bring to life on this red carpet. Now Alicia is definitely much more modest than the average pop star, so I wonder if  she would wear the sheer bodice tunic as presented on the runway or if she would want it lined (at least up to the neckline on the bustier). Typically I would say that lining the bodice of this particular look is a bad idea, but I definitely think that on Alicia I wouldn’t even notice what the differences would be. Styling this ensemble with full bouncy curls pulled back off her face, her now signature barely there au natural makeup, a black Alexander McQueen decorative handle clutch, a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Leta’ crisscross strap pointed toe pumps, and statement Amwaj diamond and ruby drop earrings would definitely make this a major fashion moment on the BET Awards red carpet. Like Alicia, Ciara is also nominated for the BET Her Award for her song “Level Up.” I always love seeing Ciara on the red carpet because she always brings her a-game and has fun with style. She takes risks, they don’t always pay off, but I applaud her for her efforts. We have never seen Valentino lend out for the red carpet at the BET Awards so the fact I’ve picked a look from the label is already a stretch let alone a couture look. I want to see Ciara bring some major style to the red carpet and I definitely think that this florescent yellow, brown, and khaki Valentino Spring 2019 Couture ensemble which features a cap sleeve crop top with an attached train, a blouson silk undershirt and a pair of high waisted loose fit pant with a sash tied belted waist would be a perfect fit for Alicia to wear on this red carpet. It gives a bit of an “urban” vibe which is a bit of a departure for the Valentino aesthetic and I just think that Ciara has the chops to make this look work on this red carpet with ease. A sleek high ponytail, defined smokey eyes, glossy deep red lips, a pair of gold and silver Aquazzura ‘Monroe Plateau’ metallic leather strappy platform sandals, and 14k gold Jennifer Fischer 3″ ‘Hollow Eternity’ hoops would definitely tie this look together perfectly. Janelle Monae typically sticks to her black and white box, but every once in a while she will ad a pop of red or pink to her vibe and last year at the BET Awards she shocked everyone wearing a rainbow Nicholas Jebran ballgown in honor of Pride Month. Will she give the same vibe this year? I don’t think so. I love that while she sticks to her black and white box, but doesn’t ever feel stale or boring. She is one of the few stars who bring Jean Paul Gaultier Couture creations to life on the red carpet and when I saw this black and white asymmetrical look from the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2019 Couture collection which features a single sleeve with a sharp shoulder, corseted waist, and asymmetrical pleated tulle skirt I knew it was perfect for Janelle. It is a sexy, bold, chic, and statement making look and very few could really sell it to me and Janelle definitely has what it takes. I wouldn’t keep Pride completely devoid in this look adding a Judith Leiber Couture ‘Slim Slide Bespoke Rainbow Mix Tape’ crystal embellished clutch with a sleek updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Naked Bow’ PVC and Satin crystal embellished pointed toe pumps, and Maxior ‘Live Life’ blue topaz and amethyst drop earrings to make this a major moment on the BET Awards red carpet. Mary J. Blige will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this years BET Awards. When it comes to fashion Mary can be someone I either love or loathe. I don’t want to see her wearing something tacky or dated, but something glamorous and chic. I knew immediately that I wanted to see Mary bring a chic Atelier Versace moment to life on this red carpet so when I saw this seafoam green gown from the Atelier Versace Fall 2019 Couture collection which features a plunging neckline, a single slashed sleeve, draped skirt, thigh high split, and a dramatic train I knew I found the perfect look for her. The look is classic Mary without feeling dated, tired, or tacky. It checks all her boxes and I think it really is the perfect moment for her to bring to life on this red carpet especially if she styles it with a sleek braided updo, smokey eyes, mauve pink lips, gold Stuart Weitzman ‘The Merinda’ strappy metallic leather sandals, and a pair of $275,000 David Webb ‘Couture Cross River’ 18k gold and platinum set diamond tassel earrings. Today’s wishes finishes out with Best Actress nominee Taraji P. Henson, whom also happens to be one of the announced presenters. I love Taraji, but I won’t lie when I say that this year her wardrobe choices have just made me scratch my head. I want to see her bring something chic, sexy, and glamorous to this red carpet which is why I’ve picked this black and gold Fausto Puglisi Fall 2019 RTW long sleeve dress which features a deep plunging v-neckline, mirror embellished belted waist, and a diamond pattern embroidered tiered a-line mini skirt. I went back and forth on a lot of options for Taraji. I went more covered and less covered but ultimately I decided that this would be the chicest moment for her to bring to life. It would all come together perfectly with a sleek high knotted ponytail, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of black and gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lilah’ strappy platform sandals, and a selection of Nikos Koulis jewels including a pair of 18k gold and diamond ‘Feelings’ chandelier earrings, an 18k gold, black enamel, and marquis cut diamond ‘Feelings’ ring, and an 18k gold and diamond ‘Feelings Double Shanke’ ring.

The 2019 BET Awards will take place on Sunday June 23, 2019.

2019 BET Awards Hostess Red Carpet Wish List

Well I am upset. Over the weekend I planned to get all the rest of my MTV Movie and Television Awards wishes up before tonight when everything I read said the red carpet would air live. Well that was not true. The awards show were actually taped on Saturday and so the rest of my wishes went to the trash. So here we go kicking off my wishes for the next big event. The 2019 BET Awards will take place this weekend and I am super excited to see what everyone will bring to the red carpet. Today’s set of wishes are dedicated to this years hostess Regina Hall. It has been over the last year that I have really seen Regina grow with her style and I am super excited to see what she and her stylists, the amazing Wayman & Micah, are cooking up for her red carpet and show wardrobe changes! For the red carpet I went with sleek sexy glamour picking this liquid flamingo pink sequin Greta Constantine Resort 2020 long sleeve gown which features a sexy open back fitted silhouette and a sweeping train. The looks we see on the red carpet at the BET Awards are typically all over the map, but I always advocate for go big or go home so this major gown moment is perfect for Regina to bring to life on this red carpet. I definitely think that she would own this look on the red carpet especially if paired with a sleek braided updo, defined eyes, dark pink lips, a pair of pink Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Janell’ crystal ankle cuff satin sandals, and a Brumani ‘Baobab’ pink quartz, pink sapphire, and diamond drop earrings. I decided to go with 5 wardrobe changes for Regina to deliver on the stage during the course of the actual BET Awards telecast. To kick the show off in high glamour I picked a pool blue and sea green sequined polka dotted off the shoulder Tadashi Shoji Resort 2020 draped gown which features a sexy side split. This look is glamorous and sexy all at the same time and is the perfect dazzling moment for Regina to start the night in high style. A sleek center parted hairstyle tucked behind the ears, navy smokey eyes, dark red glossy lips, a pair of blue Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Claudia’ crystal embellished strappy sandals, and Samer Halimeh diamond art deco inspired drop earrings would finish this look perfectly. For the first telecast wardrobe change I went from a long sequined evening gown to something shorter and sleeker with this white David Koma Fall 2019 RTW cloque midi dress which features a single puffy shoulder one sleeve, cutouts, midi length, and side split. It is a nice pace look that gives just enough drama via that sleeve, but isn’t super over the top. I would add a sleek high ponytail, defined eyes, glossy nude lips, white Christian Louboutin ‘Faridaravie’ iridescent bead studded PVC sandals, and a pair of statement Lauren X Khoo white gold, pearl, and diamond fringe chandelier earrings to make this look perfection from head to toe. For the second telecast wardrobe change I wanted to do some bold color. I stuck to a relatively subdued and neutral palate for almost all of the looks I’ve picked for Regina, but when I saw this hot pink silk ADEAM  Fall 2019 RTW belted suit my mouth started to water. I definitely think this could be a real statement look for Regina and if she styled it sans blouse with sleek center parted hair, defined eyes, matching pink lips, a pair of hot pink and red asymmetrical Jimmy Choo ‘Love’ pointed toe pumps, and a statement Messika ‘Valley of Fire’ diamond necklace I know I would be able to turn off the TV as a happy man. That doesn’t mean that is the last look that I’ve picked for Regina. Far from it. The next look I want to see from Regina is this black sequined Balmain long sleeve mini dress which features a v-neckline and a faux wrap style. This is a very typical kind of look we see from Balmain and it is a very standard hostess look, but the sexy and sparkle of the dress are what I think makes it perfect for the BET Awards stage for Regina. I think I would keep the sleek center parted hair from the precious look swapping the pink lips for red and adding a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Forever Girl’ crystal studded strappy sandals and Yvan Tufenkjian ‘Stacked Collection’ diamond ear jackets. To finish out the evening I want to see Regina deliver another major glamour moment via this black Haney Resort 2020 wrap style gown trimmed in silver crystals along the neckline and cuffs. I just know this gown would hug all of Regina’s curves and serve up major sex appeal and glamour. I would add curly waves, smokey eyes, nude glossy lips, a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Lynette’ silver crystal embellished sandals, and simple yet glamorous Amwaj diamond drop earrings ensuring that Regina closes out the night on an uber glamorous note.

The 2019 BET Awards will take place on Sunday June 23, 2019.

2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

It seems that after several years of taping the show in advance of airing it on television that MTV is going back to having a live show for the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The awards are always more of a funky red carpets of the year. I am really interested in seeing what everyone will wear on this red carpet. When it comes to this red carpet not all of the nominees show up and typically just winners and presenters are on hand. I am really excited to see what everyone is going to bring. Amandla Stenberg is nominated for Best Performance in a Movie thanks to her role in The Hate U Give and I am praying that she is on the red carpet on Monday. She has become quite the style star rocking major looks from Gucci, Valentino, Miu Miu, Ralph & Russo Couture, Louis Vuitton, Celine, and more for major red carpet appearances. I definitely wanted to pick a statement making look for Amandla to bring to life on this red carpet so I turned to one of my favorite edgy glam designers, Christopher Kane, to find the perfect moment for Amandla to bring to life on this red carpet. I love this Christopher Kane Fall 2019 RTW ensemble which features a raspberry red lava lamp print long peasant sleeve button down blouse and a matching print pool blue mini bubble skirt and while it isn’t the typical awards show ensemble I think that Amandla could definitely serve this look up on this red carpet. I think she has the effortless edge to really make this complicated look work with ease on the red carpet. A braided updo, defined light smokey eyes, raspberry red lips, fuchsia pink Malone Souliers ‘Darlene’ metallic leather strappy sandals, and simple Anita Ko ‘Floating’ ruby earcrawler earrings would all make this look absolutely fabulous from head to toe. Something tells me that Captain Marvel star Brie Larson will take home the Best Hero award on Monday night at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. Brie infused her superhero persona into all of the looks that she wore over the course of the promo tours for both Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, but I decided to go for more of a modern chic glam look for her to bring to life on the MTV Awards red carpet. I do love this dark teal silk Cushnie Resort 2020 ensemble which features an asymmetrical one sleeved top and a pair of buckled high waisted wide leg pants and think that it would be a perfect moment for her to rock on this red carpet. It is the perfect look of laid back elegance with just the right amount of glamour and sex appeal for the MTV Awards red carpet. A sleek side parted low bun, defined winged eyes, punchy pink lips, a pair of navy iridescent glitter Jimmy Choo ‘April’ platform sandals, and Yvan Tufenkjian ‘Stacked Collection’ diamond earcuffs would definitely make this is SUPER chic moment for her to bring to life. Jada Pinkett Smith will be honored with the Trailblazer Award which recognizes game-changing creators with fresh and fearless voices in entertainment. While Jada isn’t most recognizable for her film or television roles she has made waves in the internet talk show world for her digital series Red Table Talk which tackles the hard issues. So while I was a bit surprised by the announcement of her being honored I definitely support it. I typically love Jada and her sense of style, but the looks she wore recently while supporting hubby Will at premieres for Aladdin. I am hoping that Jada brings it out in full force come the MTV Awards on Monday. I decided to go for bohemian glamour picking this fully beaded fringe Roberto Cavalli Couture long sleeve mini dress for her since it is something that I definitely think it is a look right up her ally. I think it is a perfect look for an honoree to bring to life on this red carpet and it would be styled with her new short blonde hair, defined eyes, pink lips, simple black Christian Louboutin ‘Loubi Queen’ stiletto sandals, and a selection of Hanut Singh jewels including a pair of ‘Noblesse’ pink sapphire, emerald, enamel, and diamond drop earrings and a ‘Pretty Please’ cabochan pink sapphire, gold pearl, and diamond cocktail ring.Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka has been one of my favorite red carpet stars since she was about 15. She hasn’t lost her magic yet when it comes to serving up chic, fun, and distinctly her looks on the red carpet. She is nominated for Best Performance in a TV Show, up against stiff competition from Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke (maybe that whole Kings Landing murder thing will bode well for Kiernan). While her taking home a golden popcorn is up for debate I know that she will take home a Best Dressed title since I don’t think I’ve ever not liked what she has worn on a red carpet. As I was looking for MTV Movie & TV Awards looks I saw this black Marc Jacobs Fall 2019 RTW pleated hot pink floral print mini dress which features an off the shoulder neckline, a wide balloon skirt and a tied ribbon at the back and immediately thought of Kiernan. I have loved the dress since it first came down the runway back in February and I definitely think that it is perfect for the 19 year old actress to wear on this red carpet. I did wonder if the silhouette of the dress was too similar to the black and red Christian Dior Couture dress that she wore back in early May at the Billboard Music Awards and while they are similar I think the overall vibes are completely different so I don’t think there would be any real comparison. Styling this dress with a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Sereno’ sculpted heel crystal buckled embellished sandals, a sleek updo, defined eyes, glossy blush pink lips, and simple yet statement making Anabela Chan ‘Ruby Lily’ ruby garnet, pink sapphire, and rose tourmaline drop earrings I think would make this the major fashion moment I am craving. Lupita Nyong’o is a red carpet queen, but I have to say she hasn’t worn anything to wow me, except for her Atelier Versace Met Gala ensemble, recently and I am ready for her to deliver the most fashion forward moments on the red carpet again. She has been closely connected to Dior lately wearing several looks from the brand in recent months and was flown out to Marrakesh for the Dior Cruise 2020 show. One would assume automatically that I would then pick a Dior look for Lupita. Well regular readers know that unless I really love something from Dior I don’t pick Dior unless I absolutely have to for one of the brands ambassadors. Since Lupita is not an official ambassador of Dior I decided to go elsewhere. Enter this gold and silver Louis Vuitton Cruise 2020 ensemble which has intricate embroidery inspired by New York City landmarks and is trimmed in thick white banding. While I also typically get very bored with seeing Louis Vuitton on the red carpet (because it is EVERYWHERE) at least I cannot typically hate the collections that Nicholas Ghesquiere sends down the runway. I do love this look and I think that Lupita has the grace and presence to really bring it to life on a red carpet. It is a little stiff and structured for a setting like the MTV Movie and TV Awards, but I think that Lupita would definitely make it work. I would style the look sans bag adding a sleek short hairstyle, smokey eyes, glossy rich red lips, a pair of black leather Louis Vuitton ‘Horizon’ gold logo buckled platform sandals, and a vintage Bulgari gold, diamond, and onyx ‘Serpenti’ snake coil cuff bracelet to really ensure this look is brought to life perfectly. Rounding out this list breakout style star from POSE MJ Rodriguez. I definitely took note of MJ over the course of awards season and she has just kept getting better and better. I am really excited to continue to see her grow and deliver some really major fashion moments on the red carpet. She was the breakout style star of awards season and nominated at the 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards for Best Breakthrough Performance in the groundbreaking FX series. For her first major nominated red carpet I think that we are likely to see MJ bring something bold, dazzling, and chic to the red carpet and that is exactly what I found for her with this silver Halpern Fall 2019 RTW ensemble which features a draped off the shoulder bodice and matching pants. MJ would be channeling her inner disco diva wearing this look on the MTV Awards red carpet. I want to see her really bring this look to life with a loose updo, smokey eyes, burgundy lips, a pair of silver Aquazzura ‘Monroe Plateau’ glittered platform strappy sandals, a silver Judith Leiber ‘Faceted Box’ clutch and sleek art deco inspired Samer Halimeh diamond drop earrings.

The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards will air on Monday July 17, 2019.

2019 Women in Film Awards Gala Red Carpet Wish List

Tomorrow in LA the Women In Film will gather to fete this years awards honorees. This red carpet is always one that is chic and elegant as it is sponsored by Max Mara and the honorees, and celebrity guests, usually don the brands chic style moments on the red carpet. So when I was picking looks for this years honorees to wear on the red carpet I went right to the Milan based fashion house to pick three chic looks for this years a-list honorees to bring to life on the red carpet tomorrow. Amy Poehler is going to be honored with The Women In Film Entrepreneur in Entertainment Award and I have to say I hope she turns it out. We are so used to seeing rather boring looks from Amy on the red carpet and she definitely will have simple black Max Mara suits as options given to her, but I definitely would love to see her take a little risk. I was looking at Max Mara looks that I have saved and when I saw this black Max Mara Spring 2019 RTW ensemble which consists of a ‘Virgus’ glossy jersey blouse that features one sleeve and a half-collar detail at the neckline and a pair of ‘Capsula’ wool trousers that feature a high waistline with subtle front pleats, a cropped length, and ruffles down the side of each leg I thought what an amazing moment it would be for Amy to wear on this red carpet. It is definitely just outside of her more traditionalist wheelhouse, but I think that it has the potential to be really great. The clothes themselves are such a statement that I would keep the styling super simple with a sleek low bun, defined eyes, nude pink glossy lips, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pointed toe leather pumps, and vintage mid-century diamond swirl earrings from Beladora to make this look perfect for Amy. Elizabeth Debicki continues to be a rising stars. Last year the young talent was honored with the Chopard Trophy at the Cannes Film Festival as a rising star with enormous potential and this year Women In Film will be honoring her with Max Mara Face of the Future Award. I have long thought Elizabeth has the potential to be amongst the ranks of Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain, and Diane Kruger. I just think she needs a new stylist. Maybe Petra Flannery, Samantha McMillen, Michaela Erlanger, Julia Von Bohem, or Elizabeth Stewart. I think those women would know how to dress Elizabeth to serve major moment after major moment for every red carpet appearance she makes. The Women in Film Awards isn’t the most exciting red carpet of the year, but I still want to see glamour from Elizabeth on this red carpet. I decided to go for that simplistic glamour for her opting for this blush Max Mara Pre-Fall 2019 sleeveless column gown which features a chiffon cape. The simple gown is definitely elevated via that cape, but I would leave the runways belt at home. Finishing the look with a sleek braided updo, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a cotton candy pink glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Tatiana’ crystal broach detailed clutch, a pair of simple blush pink suede Jimmy Choo ‘Dochas’ crystal trimmed sandals, and dazzling Cartier morganite, opal, pink sapphire, and diamond drop earrings would definitely make this look perfect for this red carpet, while being just extra enough. Women In Film will be honoring Issa Rae with the Emerging Entrepreneur Award which is only fitting since she made it huge thanks to Insecure, which she not only stars in but also produces, she has just been cashing major checks and turning her checks into new projects. For tomorrow nights red carpet I had originally shunned Max Mara for Issa instead opting for a colorful Mary Katrantzou ensemble because the looks from Spring, Pre-Fall, and Fall all seemed to be very similar. I had forgotten the brand just showed its Resort 2020 collection in Berlin recently until I saw it on a Moda Operandi trunkshow. I saw this sand colored origami draped column gown which features a silver metal necklace/halter, belted waist, and a center split. Now it isn’t the typical colorful look we are used to seeing from Issa, but I think that she has the perfect elegance to make this gown come to life on the red carpet. A chic bun of braids, smokey eyes, nude lips, an anthracite grey Jimmy Choo ‘J Box’ glittered clutch, a pair of statement anthracite grey Jimmy Choo ‘Karima’ rock crystal embellished sandals, and Anita Ko diamonds including a pair of garland wreath earrings and a selection of different rings would definitely make this an absolutely chic moment.

The 2019 Women in Film Awards Gala will take place tomorrow Wednesday June 12, 2019.

“Men in Black: International” NYC Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

I have to say I have never seen a Men in Black film. The trailer for Men In Black: International was just one of the previews when I went to see Rocketman last week and while yes it is great that the franchise is getting more inclusive adding a female “man in black” it just does nothing for me. The press tour so far however has been serving up lewks that are definitely amazing. A lot of times that is my stance on some of these blockbuster movies. I would much rather watch an Oscar contender over a superhero, alien, or horror movie, but I love them for the major fashion moments they bring to the red carpet. Tessa Thompson has been making the rounds serving up looks from Lanvin, Versace, Robert Wun, and more. Each look has nodded to either the suits that the Men in Black wear or give a bit of alien-esque drama to it. I am really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet at the Men In Black: International NYC gala premiere tomorrow night. I wanted to go for avant garde drama and glamour for this red carpet leaving the suiting behind for the photocalls and creating a major moment with this periwinkle Azzi & Osta Spring 2019 Couture one shoulder gown which features so many details it is hard to actually describe. I love the 3D floral details, the tulle draping, the cutout on the front of the skirt, the asymmetrical peplum, and the bow like draping at the shoulder. It isn’t an easy dress to wear by any means. I think the hardest thing about this dress in the cutout on the skirt. I honestly would ask the designer to remake the skirt so it was solid because I don’t think anyone that isn’t an Amazonian tall white model could wear it as presented, but with that modification I think it could make this gown an absolutely major moment for Tessa to bring to life on this red carpet. I would finish this look with a sleek braided bun updo, smokey eyes, dark violet purple lips, silver Christian Louboutin ‘Oxydock’ 3D crystal embellished sandals, and intricate Messika diamond chandelier earrings. Those details would tie this dramatic and avant garde ensemble together like it was tied up with a nice bow. Rebecca Ferguson is one of the supporting stars in Men in Black: International and thus has not been on the international tour for the film so far. Will she make the jaunt to NYC for the big gala premiere tomorrow? Honestly I have no idea and go back and forth on whether or not she would deliver something major. When she first bust onto the scene a few years ago wearing looks from Elie Saab and Stella McCartney I was excited to see what the future had laying in wait for her, but she hasn’t lived up to the expectations I’ve set for her. I would love to see her bring simple yet chic elegance to the red carpet at this premiere tomorrow night wearing this black Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2019 ensemble which features a one shoulder bodice with a dramatic drape and a pair of high waisted flared leg pants. The look is simple yet sophisticated and I definitely believe that Rebecca could make this look come to life on the red carpet especially if paired with a sleek updo, defined eyes, red lips, a black Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ crystal embellished and peridot green crystal clasp clutch, a pair of simple black Jimmy Choo ‘Leta’ strappy pointed toe pumps, and chic Cartier diamond and peridot ear crawler earrings.

The NYC premiere of Men in Black: International is expected to take place tomorrow Tuesday June 11, 2019.

“The Dead Don’t Die” NYC Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Coming off the opening of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival the cast of The Dead Don’t Die seem to be headed to NYC tomorrow to premiere the film in the US. It wasn’t well received in Cannes, and honestly I’ve seen the trailer and I think it looks incredibly stupid. The cast however typically gets me excited so I am hoping they bring it to the red carpet at the premiere tomorrow night. They gave some okay looks at the Cannes premiere, but I am hoping that off that major platform that they are a little more relaxed. Chloe Sevingy wore custom Mugler in Cannes, and it just didn’t work. It looked cheap and dated. She has a very avant garde sense of style that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Now while that Mugler look didn’t work I definitely loved the hot pink and black Miu Miu mini dress she also wore in Cannes. For the NYC premiere of The Dead Don’t Die went for ethereal Roman glam with this cream and red Gucci Resort 2020 sleeveless toga cocktail dress. It is almost a costume, so I definitely need the styling of this dress to work perfectly no matter who wears it. I think that Chloe is one of the few who could take this Gucci dress and not let is come across as a costume. She can make an incredibly complicated look effortless and that is what I think this dress needs. A sleek bun updo, thick winged eyes, soft glossy blush pink lips, a red sequin Miu Miu ‘Solitaire’ sequined a-frame clutch, a pair of red Gucci strappy sandals, and glamorous but simple Hanut Singh ‘Deco Squares’ diamond and ruby drop earrings would all be the perfect finishing touches to this look to make sure it reads red carpet and not frat party. Selena Gomez was the one who really disappointed when it came to Cannes this year. It was her magical debut and she wore two absolutely terrible custom Louis Vuitton looks and a Chanel suit that Kristen Stewart wore in white at last years festival. So while I was really excited for Selena I ended up being incredibly let down. I am hoping that she will redeem herself on the red carpet at the NYC premiere of The Dead Don’t Die tomorrow. I figure that Selena will definitely be wearing Louis Vuitton again and honestly I just want to see her pick one of the good looks. Sophie Turner has been snatching up a bunch of the best Louis Vuitton Cruise 2020 looks as she has been making the rounds promoting her film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The good thing about this collection is that Nicholas Ghesquiere has actually given a lot of options for right off the runway looks for his LV ladies, in addition to details that will make for some superb custom gowns. For Selena, and this premiere in particular, I knew that an off the runway look was just right since it definitely isn’t going to be campaigning for any major awards. I think Selena would look very chic wearing this Louis Vuitton Cruise 2020 cocktail dress which features a beaded zip up blush pink satin bustier bodice and a royal blue satin draped wrap style skirt (WITH POCKETS) for this red carpet. It is edgy, classic, young, and different all at the same time and I really do think that it would look chic on Selena. Now does she have the attitude to really work this dress? I know that she can, but her typical more dead fish red carpet posing isn’t going to work. I’m going to need her to channel the vibe she gave for “Same Old Love” to really bring the sexy and confident drama to this look. Style it with a sleek high top knot, defined eyes (though not as thick as she wore in Cannes), bright pink lips, a pair of royal blue suede and clear PVC strappy Gianvito Rossi buckled strappy sandals, and simple yet dazzling Messika art deco diamond tassel earrings and I definitely think that Selena would be back in my good graces. Tilda Swinton was the only cast member of The Dead Don’t Die to not disappoint me at the films Cannes Film Festival premiere. She wore a beautiful silver beaded and crystal encrusted Haider Ackermann long sleeve gown giving us that signature effortless glamour that we know and love her for. I want to see her bring more effortless elegance to the red carpet at the films premiere in NYC wearing this mother of pearl pink Chanel Spring 2019 Couture midi gown which features 3/4 length sleeves, intricate sequin construction, a v-neckline, and a flared tulle hem. This dress is a little more flirty and feminine than the typical look we see Tilda wearing on the red carpet, but I think that it definitely works with her avant garde sense of style. It would definitely be made to fit her style with her signature coif, defined eyes, pink lips, a pair of light pink Manolo Blahnik ‘Dallitre’ crystal embellished sandal mules, and vintage Van Cleef & Arpels diamond floral cluster earrings.

The NYC premiere of The Dead Don’t Die is expected to take place tomorrow June 10, 2019.

2019 Tony Awards Red Carpet Wish List
