On the heels of two Golden Globe nominations The United States vs. Billie Holiday is picking up Oscar steam. There are a couple of categories I feel this film could get and so I want to see some amazing virtual premiere looks from the cast in the lead up to the films digital release on February 26, 2021. I think that great press leading up to the release will help push the film over the hump and on its way to the Oscars.
It was unexpected that Andra Day was going to get a Best Actress nomination for the Golden Globe Awards. Most of the articles I read predicting this years nominations had her in the dark horse category. So when they called out her name I was very, very excited. Now as I was planning looks here I would love to see Andra wear I knew that this Giambattista Valli Spring 2021 Couture long sleeve a-line dress which features an intricate silver sequin and crystal embellished high neck bodice and a big metallic pink dotted black tulle all skirt. The dress is tied together perfectly with black and red satin bows. It would definitely speak to Andra’s favored retro glamour and I can only imagine the major glamour she would be able to deliver rocking this look. With a sleek curled retro inspired updo detailed with red roses, thick winged smokey glitter eyes, bold matte red lips, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Suola Kate 100’ crystal sole detailed pointed toe pumps, and a selection of dazzling Butani jewels including a pair of white diamond and ruby flower stud earrings, a statement ruby and white diamond flower cocktail ring, and then a selection of white diamond and ruby bands strewn about her fingers would definitely make this a major Instagram premiere moment for Andra.
The United States vs. Billie Holiday is set to start streaming on Hulu on Friday February 26, 2021.
