As we get closer to the actual date of the Grammy’s my wishes are going to get a little more fantastical. While I am still incorporating picks for performers and nominees, some of my wishes are for people we would normally have seen on a Grammy’s red carpet. There are all sorts of great events happening before and after this years show which tell me that there would have been some great moments from those stars as they usually make appearances at those events and then at the Grammy’s themselves. So I am disappointed we are loosing out on some of those moments, but I am getting more and more excited for the future. Red carpets are sure to start returning in full force by the end of this year and I am very excited.
Andra Day is one of those stars. She is attending one of those satellite events and with her major awards season run (so far in Chanel Couture and custom Prada) on the road to the Oscars I would definitely expect that we would have seen her at the Grammy’s. For her last two Grammy’s shes referenced bold retro inspired glam, but for this years show I would have gone for more 40’s femme fatale glamour with this deep pool blue velvet Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture strapless column gown which features soft draping, a bustier bodice, intricate crystal snake embroidery, and a daring hip high spit. I love the super sexy Rita Hayworth vibe of this gown and I feel like Andra would be able to sell this gown to us easily. So I would have loved to see her wearing this gown with a sleek retro inspired updo, defined eyes, matte burgundy lips, a pair of gold Casadei rock crystal studded ankle strap sandals, and a statement 18k gold David Webb chain-link collar necklace with brilliant-cut white diamonds and black enamel. 
Billy Porter will be appearing in a Grammy special about the music connected to social movements in the weeks after the show. Knowing that I would have expected to see the fashionista on the red carpet. He always serves up major fashion moments and I’ve been dying to see Billy wear this lime green Palomo Spain Spring 2021 ensemble which features a floor length duster coat (with a robins egg blue lining) with matching trousers and a white shirt since it was first presented. I was going to use it for a “premiere” of a movie he will be staring in, but that movie release got pushed. So I was thrilled that I still got to put this wish into the universe. I would love to see this major fashion moment styled perfectly with a pair of gold Saint Laurent ‘Candy’ platform boots and a vintage Veruda ‘Nosegay’ peridot, white and yellow diamond brooch set in 18k gold and platinum. 
Cardi B will be performing on this years show Sunday night so I know she will be serving LOOKS. Her last two Grammy’s have both been in Mugler, both vintage and custom. I wanted a major moment this year and I found it in this black and silver Elie Saab Spring 2021 Couture one shoulder gown which features sequined “feather” 3D details on the bodice, a single sleeve, sheer construction, crystal embellished waist, and an a-line skirt. I have been all over this collection in my Grammy wishes picking looks for H.E.R. and Ariana Grande as well. Crazy thing is that while all three looks are coming from the same collection they all feel very different at the same time. I would absolutely love to see Cardi take this sexy yet glam moment and style it with a sleek updo, smokey winged eyes, bold red lips, a pair of black leather Christian Louboutin ‘Round Chick Alta 150 Black Kid’ scalloped edge peep toe ankle strap d’orsay platform pumps, and a selection of Amwaj jewels including white diamond waterfall chandelier earrings and a matching white diamond cocktail ring to really make this look come to life. 
John Legend has two Grammy nominations this year and that would definitely have meant we would have seen him and wife Chrissy Teigan on the Grammy’s red carpet this year. I am hoping that this social media savvy duo will still do some super chic fashion moments for the ‘gram. I picked two super dazzling and glam complimentary moments for the pair starting with a steel blue and silver floral jacquard metallic Tom Ford Fall 2021 Menswear tuxedo blazer styled with black trousers. Now the jacket is a favorite of mine from the Fall 2021 menswear collections and I feel like John would look phenomenal in it, but I would style it with a classic white tuxedo shirt, black tuxedo studs, a black bow tie, and a pair of black patent leather Jimmy Choo ‘Foxley/m’ tassel detailed loafers. Now for Chrissy I went with a shining moment with this metallic gunmetal grey pleated chiffon Georges Chakra Fall 2020 Couture strapless gown which features intricate ruffle details, a beaded waist, an a-line skirt, and a thigh high split. Chrissy always knows how to deliver high glam moments on the red carpet and this look would definitely make this a major moment on the red carpet. A sleek updo, defined eyes, dark mauve lips, a grey crystal embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch, a pair of metallic gunmetal grey Stuart Weitzman ‘Oracle 100’ crystal ball detailed ankle strap sandals, and statement arabesque inspired Karen Suen white diamond chandelier earrings would add the perfect finishing touches to this look. A winning duo for a fabulous couple. 
Best Country Song nominee Maren Morris will be performing with John Mayer at this Sunday’s show. I always find something to fault Maren with. I want to love her, but her style just is tacky and dated and very try to hard. I actually can’t believe I went here, but I picked two looks from D***e & G*****a Secrets & Diamonds collection. She wore D***e for the CMA Awards and it was one of her better looks. I just feel like if anyone could make me like a D***e moment now it would be Maren. For the “red carpet” I would love to see her wearing this black tiered gown with thick straps, intricate crystal embroidery, and a bustier bodice. It is all about glamour from head to toe and would be perfect with sleek old Hollywood waves over one shoulder, defined eyes, bold red lips, black suede Amina Muaddi ‘Vita’ strappy platform sandals, and a selection of Dena Kemp jewels including black and white diamond drop earrings and a matching link cocktail ring. For the performance I went with more dazzle for Maren picking this silver crystal fringe mini dress which I can see being a super modern flapper moment. Keeping the same beauty adding a soft waves, a pair of silver Aquazzura ‘Temptation’ crystal trimmed PVC peep toe slingback sandals, and more Dena Kemp jewels including white diamond fan cluster earrings, a three flower stud white diamond two finger ring, and a five row white diamond cocktail ring would make this look sparkle and shine in the best way possible on our television screens.

Chloe x Halle have 3 Grammy nominations this year and I would love to see the duo serve us a LOOK for the “red carpet.” The sister duo is always a favorite to see on the red carpet and I really want to see them SHUT IT DOWN for their first ever Grammy nominations. I would love to see them rock some glamorous moments from Christian Siriano this year. I wouldn’t normally go for Siriano since these two can serve up some major moments from some of the top avant garde designers, but as I was on the hunt I saw the gown I want to see Chloe Baily bring to life and I was changed completely. I fell in love with the idea of her wearing this black Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2021 two piece gown with a cross strap bralet and a high waisted tulle ball skirt and I couldn’t shake the idea of her wearing this look even when I was looking at all the new collections coming out of Paris and the recent couture shows. I think that she would be able to sell this sexy, dramatic, and glamorous moment perfectly especially if styled with an avant garde updo of braids, defined eyes, glossy nude lips, a pair of 
Alana Haim, Este Haim, and Danielle Haim AKA just as HAIM are true fashionistas. They have rocked major complimentary moments from Chanel, Dior, Rodarte, Chloe, Stella McCartney, Versace, and Acne Studios on red carpets over the last several years. They love fashion and they aren’t afraid to rock avant garde looks on the red carpet. So when I was thinking about who I want to dress the sister group nominated for two Grammy’s including Album of the Year and who are performing I immediately thought of the cool girl brand of the moment Bottega Veneta by Daniel Lee. I’ve been obsessed with the Bottega Veneta Resort 2021 collection since it was first presented and I know that in a world where there are red carpets that stars would have been all over it. I picked three looks from the collection that work together perfectly to make for the perfect looks for these sisters to rock on the Grammy’s red carpet starting with a black corseted mini dress for Alana Haim, but I would want to see it customized into a floor length column gown. It would be a sleek and sexy yet classic moment and I feel that would be perfect for Alana especially styled with soft center parted waves tucked behind the ears, soft nude smokey eyes, taupe lips, 
After rocking what I imagine is either rented or purchased Tom Ford for the CMA Awards last fall I decided that I would turn to the brand once again for Best New Artist (and 2 more) Granny nominee Ingrid Andress. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for her and I would love to see her literally shine bright wearing this
Following Ingrid who is a rising country music diva to a long reigning queen of modern country music Miranda Lambert. I can’t say that Miranda is one of my favorite red carpet stars, but when she gets it right she gets it right. I almost loved the Alex Perry look she wore for the CMA awards had there been better hair and makeup. For the Grammy’s where she is nominated for 3 gold gramophones and will be performing I went with a major color moment thanks to this bold emerald green Rasario Fall 2020 RTW draped one shoulder gown with a sexy split and a very small train. I feel like this color moment with a sleek updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, an 
Poppy is nominated for Best Metal Performance and will be performing at the non televised Grammy Premiere ceremony, so I want to see her serve a look. She has always given very avant garde moments on the red carpet that go from sweet to edgy and I want to see her continue to give a major fashion moment So I turned to this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2020 Couture mini dress which features a dramatic asymmetrical taffeta bow for her. I just feel like Poppy would be the perfect person to bring this look to life. She has has the stature to really make this look come to life. To really make this a perfect red carpet look I would love to see Poppy style it with a sleek high ponytail, defined eyes, glossy nude lips, 
Billie Eilish has always had a very interesting sense of style. Last awards season she rocked Chanel, Gucci, and Burberry track suit style looks for all the red carpets she walked. I don’t want to change her, so when I was looking for something for the singer who is nominated for 4 Grammy’s including Record of the Year and Song of the Year and is also performing at this years show I turned to the Valentino Spring 2021 Couture collection. I was thinking about all the cool boxier cut and layered looks from the collection and knew that I would find a great moment for Billie to wear on this red carpet and I found it in this look which features a gold embossed brocade cocoon cape inspired sleeveless hoodie (A COUTURE HOODIE), a sleeveless light but turtleneck, sand colored pleated front trousers, and matching elbow gloves. This moment is definitely the most Billie look that was show in this collection and I really want to see her rock it for the Grammy’s red carpet. According to her Instagram Billie is still rocking that horrible acid green roots thing. I don’t think that would work with this look though. Instead I would like to see Billie give us more of something like an deep ink blue instead. To finish the look I would style the moment with defined eyes, nude pink lips, and a pair of 
Cynthia Erivo is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for her song “Stand Up” from Harriet. She is a consummate fashionista and so I know that had this been a regular year that she would have shown up on the Grammy’s red carpet serving a major look like she was one of the top nominated artists of the night. The fact that she is also be a part of this years post Grammy special “A Salute to the Sound of Change” would have also boded well for her being on the Grammy’s red carpet. I was going to start looking through my archives of couture runways for Cynthia, but then I saw this gold 
Harry Style is nominated for Best Solo Pop Performance, Best Pop Album, and Best Music Video at this years Grammy Awards and I am super disappointed that the regular red carpet isn’t going to happen. Harry has been one of my men to watch on the red carpet because he isn’t afraid to blur the gender lines on the red carpet. Now that being said Harry is still performing at this years show and I hope he serves up some cool looks. I have two looks for Harry one for the red carpet and one for a performance. The red carpet look I’ve picked for Harry is a powder blue Gucci Spring 2017 Menswear shawl lapel tailcoat tuxedo which I would style a little differently than it was on the runway I would ditch the tangerine short wide tie and change the shirt. Instead I would style the look with a classic pleated tuxedo shirt, the cummerbund front he runway, a pair of 
Jhene Aiko will host the Grammy Premiere ceremony, which is the party of the show that isn’t televised where they hand out all kinds of awards. In addition to that she is nominated for 3 Grammy’s herself this year including Album of the Year, Best Progressive R&B Album, & Best R&B Performance. So I am really hoping to see her deliver a superb moment on the red carpet. I went for sexy glamour inspired by Grace Jones with this black/gold sequin Rami Al Ali Spring 2021 Couture draped hooded wrap style gown with a major split in the front. I love this super glam moment and I feel like it would just ooze sexy and edgy glam, especially with tight cornrow braids, perfectly laid curled edges, defined eyes, nude glossy lips, a pair of 
The last two wishes for today are for Travis Scott & Kylie Jenner. I would have loved to see the on again off again couple back on the Grammy’s red carpet together. But since he is just nominated for one Grammy this year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, I doubt we will see either of them on the red carpet either in person or virtually. If they do I would love to see them rock superb complimentary moments starting with an industrial grey Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2021 utilitarian inspired double breasted suit with a light grey turtleneck (a menswear trend this awards season), and a red silk flower boutonniere for Travis styled with a pair of 
Ariana Grande is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Lady Gaga for their hit song Rain On Me. It is the only nomination Ari earned this year and she is not performing. What does that mean? Well I would say that means that we won’t be seeing her on a red carpet this year, but with the whole “red carpet from home” idea we’ve seen I hope that she will serve up a chic look on Instagram. When thinking about what I would love to see Ari wear for the Grammy’s red carpet I thought that going short with this sleeveless ice blue Elie Saab Spring 2021 Couture halter skater style dress with intricate beaded floral embroidery, an a line skirt covered in feathers, and a tulle train would be perfect. It’s fun, flirty, and a little ice capades-y and I think those are all thinks that are perfectly in tune with Ariana’s style. I’ve been so excited about what Doja Cat would wear for the Grammy’s since I started to get to know her style over the fall. She has rocked major moments from Versace, Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, and Georges Hobeika Haute Couture for the different music award shows last fall and it is just leaving me really excited to see what the Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Solo Pop Performance nominee will bring to the Grammy’s, especially since she will be there in person as a performer. I went for two looks one for the “red carpet” and one for the stage to accept any award that she might take home. For the red carpet I’ve had my heart set on this white and silver Viktor & Rolf Spring 2021 Couture ensemble which features a heavily embellished bralet over a cropped white puffy sleeve button down and a high waisted tiered ball skirt since I first saw it. I feel like this gown is the perfect meshing of 80’s DRAMA and sex appeal in a very modern way. Doja is a fashion chameleon and I feel like she could definitely make it work. I would style this ensemble with a sleet retro inspired updo, defined eyes, wine red lined matte red lips, a pair of 
Justin & Hailey Beiber will also most likely be celebrating the Grammy’s from home since the singer who is nominated for 4 awards isn’t performing this year. The two are notoriously private as a couple and they don’t often do couples appearances. That being said I would have loved to see the couple work the Grammy’s red carpet together this year if it were a normal red carpet. Now the two have like polar opposite styles with Justin very laid back and Hailey a glamizon, but I feel like I picked looks for the two that speak to their individual style, but would compliment each other perfectly. For Justin I turned to the Celine Spring 2021 Menswear collection and this major black, red, and white color blocked leather bomber with gold detailing pair with two tone light wash loose fit jeans. Now the look was styled without a shirt on the runway, but I would add a 
Lady Gaga is currently in Rome filming the new Ridley Scott “House of Gucci” movie so I would say that since she is in the production bubble that we will not be seeing her at the Grammy’s this year. She is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album and I would LOVE to still see her show us a major fashion moment on Instagram celebrating the Grammy Awards. I’ve been wishing to see Gaga wearing this shocking pink velvet draped Schiaparelli Spring 2021 Couture gown which is draped from a headband and I know that she is really the only person who could sell this moment to me. I seriously don’t know who else could wear all this velvet and not get lost, but I know that Gaga would be able to work through this gown and serve up a major moment for me. I would style this gown with the 
Wrapping up today is the fabulous Tiffany Haddish who is nominated for Best Comedy Album. I don’t know if we’ll see Tiffany at the Grammy’s yet, but I hope to at least see her show up with a major IG moment if she isn’t headed to the Staples Center. While I’ve gone for very avant garde moments for most of the stars in these wishes I wanted to go for something sleeker and more simplistic for her since she isn’t one of the music nominees. I feel like this black sheath dress from the David Koma Pre-Fall 2021 collection which features short flutter sleeves, plexi crystal circles on a peplum busts and a center split. It is sleek and sexy rock and roll glam and I feel like Tiffany would definitely be able to sell this look to me with ease especially if styled with her shaved head, defined eyes, deep red glossy lips,
Kicking things off today is this years most nominated artist Beyonce who has 9 nominations thanks to her Black is King visual album including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Despite all of those nominations she is not one of the performers this year and I highly doubt we will see her get all dressed up for any sort of live acceptance speech should she win any of those 9 awards. When I was picking looks for the Grammy’s back before they postponed their date I picked this major glamour look which features a sheer Ese Azenabor Couture column gown which features long sleeves, intricate beading, and a plunging neckline which I wanted to style with the major black and white fur stole from the Georges Hobeika Fall 2020 Couture collection. I had so many ideas for what to pick for Dua Lipa to wear for the Grammy Awards. I was originally going to go down the route of vintage Thierry Mugler Couture, but then Kim Jones made his debut as the creative director at Fendi. The moment I saw this ivory sheer pearl embellished caped column gown with a halterneck bodysuit and a dramatic train it spoke to me. It was a really cool moment that gives me regal vibes as well as rock and roll glamour. I feel like it would definitely be something that Dua would be drawn to and since she is on the list of performers in addition to being nominated for six Grammy’s including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Megan Thee Stallion has been getting better and better with her red carpets lately. So when I saw that the rapper who is nominated for FOUR Grammy’s including Record of the Year and Best New Artist was going to be performing this year I wanted to make sure I was giving a major fashion moment. I went through all sorts of ideas when I was thinking about what the perfect look would be for Megan I went through a couple of ideas, but I thought about going the custom route going off the rack and picking this
Finishing off today is the beautiful Taylor Swift who is nominated for six Grammy’s and will be performing this weekend so I am really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet. Despite multiple nominations since Taylor hasn’t attended a Grammy’s ceremony since 2016 when she won several for her album 1989. So I am really interested to see what she will bring this year. When she dropped Folklore and Evermore last year Taylor seemed to ignite the Cottagecore trend, and a refound love of cardigans. I’ve wanted to see what this would bring in terms of red carpet style, but Taylor has skipped pretty much all of the music awards shows during the pandemic. When I was thinking of something that I feel would fit the vibe of her recent albums, but still give us red carpet I was having a hard time coming up with the right pick. Then I watched the Valentino Spring 2021 Couture show and I immediately fell in love with this light grey slip style gown with a dramatic train paired with a copper brown knit sweater vest that was worn asymmetrically on the runway and I would keep it that way for Swiftie. Finishing out the look with a soft romantic updo, defined eyes, her signature bold red lips, 
I’ve always paid attention to Trevor Noah on the red carpet. He’s rocked some superb fashion moments over the years and for the Grammy’s I went with 4 AMAZING looks for Trevor from 4 different designers and each one would make for a major fashion moment. Kicking things off with a major “red carpet” moment I would love to see Trevor wearing this black Alexander McQueen Spring 2021 Menswear tuxedo which feature a statement draped asymmetrical white bow detail. I feel like this look is a statement choice giving us a very avant garde take on traditional white tie formal dressing and I do think that it would be a phenomenal moment for him to bring to life, especially for the Grammy’s when styled with a pair of
Now with all of Trevor’s fashion connections I went for all statement looks for him to wear while hosting the 2021 Grammy Awards. Starting with haute couture and this Atelier Versace Fall 2020 Couture peak lapel tuxedo which featured an intricately beaded blush to black ombre embroidery. I’ve always been excited when Versace adds menswear to it’s couture collections and always disappointed that there aren’t more stars who embrace these chic, but boundary pushing ensembles. I feel like this is definitely something that Trevor would be drawn to and I can see it come together perfectly styled exactly as it was in the lookbook.
