“We’re looking at trying to do a unique award ceremony in an hour and leave people saying, which they very rarely do [with an awards show], ‘Man, I wish we had more,'” SAG Awards co-executive producer Todd Milliner told Variety about this years ceremony. That has me very intrigued. After taking a lot of time to find my inspiration to write wishes for this years event I’ve finally found it. While I am disappointed that this years show isn’t going to be live I am still excited to see what fashion the stars will bring to this show. Another of the producers for the show Kathy Connell said “We hope they [the nominees] respect the show enough and everybody does, and their fellow actors, that they don’t want to disappoint the audience at home by letting any surprises go.” So far this is true and it seems like even stylists are holding images of looks to release them when the red carpet would usually take place. 
For the Golden Globes Carey Mulligan rocked a draped white Prada column gown. I wasn’t thrilled with the fit of the gown and the look was lacking great hair and makeup. She kept a similar beauty look with a white satin suit for the Critics Choice Awards. It seems like white has been her color of choice this awards season so with that in mind for the SAG Awards I would love to see Carey bring something incredibly chic from head to toe to life. I found the perfect look for Carey in this vintage Chanel Couture ensemble which is a white short sleeve lace blouse, a black banded waist, and a white sequin diamond pattern embroidered a-line tea length organza skirt from the brands Spring 2001 Couture collection. I have been loving vintage Chanel in lieu of many of Virginie Viard’s collections and I believe that Carey would look absolutely phenomenal wearing this gorgeous gown. With a soft curly romantic updo, defined eyes, antique rose pink lips, a pair of white Jimmy Choo ‘Romy 85’ crystal trimmed pointed toe pumps, and antique Victorian white pearl and white diamond silver-upon-blacken gold drop earrings from London based vintage jewelry dealer Jewellery Discovery I know that Carey would have a phenomenal glamour moment on her hands. 
Kerry Washington hasn’t made any appearances this awards season, but with her Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series nomination at the SAG Awards I am praying that she ends up serving us a look. I looked at a lot of dresses and there wasn’t a whole lot that spoke to me. This black Iris Van Herpen Spring 2021 Couture high low strapless gown with a peplum train, mini underskirt, and intricate sequin embroidery was the gown that really spoke to me. I can’t say that Kerry is someone I would normally think of when looking at an Iris Van Herpen collection, but the moment I saw this dress I couldn’t help but shake the idea of Kerry bringing this gown to life. I’ve loved her looks since she’s worked with Law Roach and the two make magic together. It would be a super cool edgy glam moment and I believe that Kerry would absolutely be able to sell this gown to me. I would add a sleek side parted bob, defined eyes, dark red glossy lips, a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Moon Crystal’ crystal embellished ankle strap sandals, and a statement emerald and white diamond de Grisogono collar necklace to really make this a statement edgy glam moment for Kerry from head to toe.
Leslie Odom Jr. has been showing up in some super cool fashion moments for award shows so far this season. He rocked hot off the runway Valentino Couture for the Golden Globe awards and Celine look from a collection we haven’t seen a lookbook from for the Critics Choice Awards. I am very excited to see what is last few stops along awards season including this weekends SAG Awards. I’ve always thought that Leslie in classic menswear styles with a twist. That is exactly what I found in the Tom Ford Fall 2021 Menswear collection. I adore this black leopard print tuxedo jacket styled with a silk button down shirt and black tuxedo trousers. It is a cool moment and I definitely believe that Leslie would be able to sell this look with ease. I would keep the styling rather simple finishing the look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo Orlato Flat’ glittered velvet and patent leather oxfords. 
Nicole Kidman dress in her best custom Louis Vuitton for the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year to partake in the ceremony virtually with her family from their living room in Australia. I am very excited to see what she will wear for this weekends SAG Awards where she is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series. I had several options for what I would like to see Nicole wearing, but it was this black liquid sequin Giambattista Valli Fall 2021 RTW column gown which features a single sleeve, floral embellishment, and a bow detail on the shoulder that really spoke to me. I feel like it this gown is incredibly sleek and glamorous with a hint of sex appeal and Nicole would easily be able to make this look come to life on the red carpet. With this being a pre-recorded virtual event I know this simpler silhouette would be perfect for Nicole. A soft romantic updo, defined eyes, light pink lips, black crystal embellished mesh Rene Caovilla pointed toe slingback pumps, and a selection of jewels from Fred Leighton including a pair of Georgian pendeloque rose cut white diamond drop earrings, a pink spinel and white diamond cocktail ring, and a 1960’s Colombian emerald and white diamond cocktail ring would all tie this look up together in one glamorous package. 
Viola Davis has been loving bold prints lately. She’s rocked Lavie by CK for the Golden Globes, XulyBet for a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon, and Duro Olowu for the NAACP Image Awards. Each one was statement making and bold. Never a look I would have expected to see from Viola and who knows if they are looks she would have chosen to wear had this been a regular year. I didn’t go the bold pattern for my SAG Awards wishes I really wanted to see Viola wearing this teal chiffon Elie Saab Fall 2021 RTW a-line flowing gown with a sweetheart crystal halter neckline, ruched bodice, and a crystal waist. I saw this gown and knew immediately it was perfect for Viola. It was the first gown I picked for my SAG Awards wishes. It was actually the thought of not putting this wish into the universe that kept me coming back to look at my wishes and persevering to make sure I got them up. To make this a perfect red carpet moment I would love to see Viola style this gown with a teased afro hairstyle, smokey eyes, deep burgundy glossy lips, a silver crystal embellished Judith Leiber Couture slim faceted rectangle clutch, a pair of strappy silver Casadei ankle strap platform sandals, and selection of Thelma West jewels including simple white diamond drop earrings and a statement white diamond cushion cut cocktail ring.

I feel like custom is in her sights for the SAG Awards. Maybe Gucci or Dior. I wasn’t totally thrilled or inspired with anything that I saw, except for this white Marchesa Spring 2021 RTW orchid purple and grey hand painted floral print ball gown which features a statement crystal embellished halter neckline, open back, a-line skirt, and a sweeping train. I don’t know if Maria would wear Marchesa, but her stylist Jessica Paster would option the brand for other clients so I decided to throw caution to the wind and pick this gorgeous gown for Maria. While Marchesa still has the tainted stain of the Harvey Weinstein scandal on it I think that this moment on Maria would be perfect especially if styled with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips,
Andra Day is one of those stars. She is attending one of those satellite events and with her major awards season run (so far in Chanel Couture and custom Prada) on the road to the Oscars I would definitely expect that we would have seen her at the Grammy’s. For her last two Grammy’s shes referenced bold retro inspired glam, but for this years show I would have gone for more 40’s femme fatale glamour with this deep pool blue velvet Ralph & Russo Fall 2018 Couture strapless column gown which features soft draping, a bustier bodice, intricate crystal snake embroidery, and a daring hip high spit. I love the super sexy Rita Hayworth vibe of this gown and I feel like Andra would be able to sell this gown to us easily. Knowing that I would have expected to see the fashionista on the red carpet. He always serves up major fashion moments and I’ve been dying to see Billy wear this lime green Palomo Spain Spring 2021 ensemble which features a floor length duster coat (with a robins egg blue lining) with matching trousers and a white shirt since it was first presented. She wore D***e for the CMA Awards and it was one of her better looks. I just feel like if anyone could make me like a D***e moment now it would be Maren. Billie Eilish has always had a very interesting sense of style. Last awards season she rocked Chanel, Gucci, and Burberry track suit style looks for all the red carpets she walked. I don’t want to change her, so when I was looking for something for the singer who is nominated for 4 Grammy’s including Record of the Year and Song of the Year and is also performing at this years show I turned to the Valentino Spring 2021 Couture collection. I was thinking about all the cool boxier cut and layered looks from the collection and knew that I would find a great moment for Billie to wear on this red carpet and I found it in this look which features a gold embossed brocade cocoon cape inspired sleeveless hoodie (A COUTURE HOODIE), a sleeveless light but turtleneck, sand colored pleated front trousers, and matching elbow gloves. This moment is definitely the most Billie look that was show in this collection and I really want to see her rock it for the Grammy’s red carpet. According to her Instagram Billie is still rocking that horrible acid green roots thing. I don’t think that would work with this look though. Instead I would like to see Billie give us more of something like an deep ink blue instead. To finish the look I would style the moment with defined eyes, nude pink lips, and a pair of 
Cynthia Erivo is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for her song “Stand Up” from Harriet. She is a consummate fashionista and so I know that had this been a regular year that she would have shown up on the Grammy’s red carpet serving a major look like she was one of the top nominated artists of the night. The fact that she is also be a part of this years post Grammy special “A Salute to the Sound of Change” would have also boded well for her being on the Grammy’s red carpet. I was going to start looking through my archives of couture runways for Cynthia, but then I saw this gold 
Harry Style is nominated for Best Solo Pop Performance, Best Pop Album, and Best Music Video at this years Grammy Awards and I am super disappointed that the regular red carpet isn’t going to happen. Harry has been one of my men to watch on the red carpet because he isn’t afraid to blur the gender lines on the red carpet. Now that being said Harry is still performing at this years show and I hope he serves up some cool looks. I have two looks for Harry one for the red carpet and one for a performance. The red carpet look I’ve picked for Harry is a powder blue Gucci Spring 2017 Menswear shawl lapel tailcoat tuxedo which I would style a little differently than it was on the runway I would ditch the tangerine short wide tie and change the shirt. Instead I would style the look with a classic pleated tuxedo shirt, the cummerbund front he runway, a pair of 
Jhene Aiko will host the Grammy Premiere ceremony, which is the party of the show that isn’t televised where they hand out all kinds of awards. In addition to that she is nominated for 3 Grammy’s herself this year including Album of the Year, Best Progressive R&B Album, & Best R&B Performance. So I am really hoping to see her deliver a superb moment on the red carpet. I went for sexy glamour inspired by Grace Jones with this black/gold sequin Rami Al Ali Spring 2021 Couture draped hooded wrap style gown with a major split in the front. The last two wishes for today are for Travis Scott & Kylie Jenner. I would have loved to see the on again off again couple back on the Grammy’s red carpet together. But since he is just nominated for one Grammy this year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, I doubt we will see either of them on the red carpet either in person or virtually. If they do I would love to see them rock superb complimentary moments starting with an industrial grey Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2021 utilitarian inspired double breasted suit with a light grey turtleneck (a menswear trend this awards season), and a red silk flower boutonniere for Travis styled with a pair of 
Ariana Grande is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Lady Gaga for their hit song Rain On Me. It is the only nomination Ari earned this year and she is not performing. What does that mean? Well I would say that means that we won’t be seeing her on a red carpet this year, but with the whole “red carpet from home” idea we’ve seen I hope that she will serve up a chic look on Instagram. When thinking about what I would love to see Ari wear for the Grammy’s red carpet I thought that going short with this sleeveless ice blue Elie Saab Spring 2021 Couture halter skater style dress with intricate beaded floral embroidery, an a line skirt covered in feathers, and a tulle train would be perfect. It’s fun, flirty, and a little ice capades-y and I think those are all thinks that are perfectly in tune with Ariana’s style. I’ve been so excited about what Doja Cat would wear for the Grammy’s since I started to get to know her style over the fall. She has rocked major moments from Versace, Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, and Georges Hobeika Haute Couture for the different music award shows last fall and it is just leaving me really excited to see what the Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Solo Pop Performance nominee will bring to the Grammy’s, especially since she will be there in person as a performer. I went for two looks one for the “red carpet” and one for the stage to accept any award that she might take home. For the red carpet I’ve had my heart set on this white and silver Viktor & Rolf Spring 2021 Couture ensemble which features a heavily embellished bralet over a cropped white puffy sleeve button down and a high waisted tiered ball skirt since I first saw it. I feel like this gown is the perfect meshing of 80’s DRAMA and sex appeal in a very modern way. Doja is a fashion chameleon and I feel like she could definitely make it work. I would style this ensemble with a sleet retro inspired updo, defined eyes, wine red lined matte red lips, a pair of 
Justin & Hailey Beiber will also most likely be celebrating the Grammy’s from home since the singer who is nominated for 4 awards isn’t performing this year. The two are notoriously private as a couple and they don’t often do couples appearances. That being said I would have loved to see the couple work the Grammy’s red carpet together this year if it were a normal red carpet. Now the two have like polar opposite styles with Justin very laid back and Hailey a glamizon, but I feel like I picked looks for the two that speak to their individual style, but would compliment each other perfectly. For Justin I turned to the Celine Spring 2021 Menswear collection and this major black, red, and white color blocked leather bomber with gold detailing pair with two tone light wash loose fit jeans. Lady Gaga is currently in Rome filming the new Ridley Scott “House of Gucci” movie so I would say that since she is in the production bubble that we will not be seeing her at the Grammy’s this year. She is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album and I would LOVE to still see her show us a major fashion moment on Instagram celebrating the Grammy Awards. I’ve been wishing to see Gaga wearing this shocking pink velvet draped Schiaparelli Spring 2021 Couture gown which is draped from a headband and I know that she is really the only person who could sell this moment to me. I seriously don’t know who else could wear all this velvet and not get lost, but I know that Gaga would be able to work through this gown and serve up a major moment for me. Wrapping up today is the fabulous Tiffany Haddish who is nominated for Best Comedy Album. I don’t know if we’ll see Tiffany at the Grammy’s yet, but I hope to at least see her show up with a major IG moment if she isn’t headed to the Staples Center. While I’ve gone for very avant garde moments for most of the stars in these wishes I wanted to go for something sleeker and more simplistic for her since she isn’t one of the music nominees. I feel like this black sheath dress from the David Koma Pre-Fall 2021 collection which features short flutter sleeves, plexi crystal circles on a peplum busts and a center split. It is sleek and sexy rock and roll glam and I feel like Tiffany would definitely be able to sell this look to me with ease especially if styled with her shaved head, defined eyes, deep red glossy lips,
I’ve always paid attention to Trevor Noah on the red carpet. He’s rocked some superb fashion moments over the years and for the Grammy’s I went with 4 AMAZING looks for Trevor from 4 different designers and each one would make for a major fashion moment. Kicking things off with a major “red carpet” moment I would love to see Trevor wearing this black Alexander McQueen Spring 2021 Menswear tuxedo which feature a statement draped asymmetrical white bow detail. I feel like this look is a statement choice giving us a very avant garde take on traditional white tie formal dressing and I do think that it would be a phenomenal moment for him to bring to life, especially for the Grammy’s when styled with a pair of
Now with all of Trevor’s fashion connections I went for all statement looks for him to wear while hosting the 2021 Grammy Awards. Starting with haute couture and this Atelier Versace Fall 2020 Couture peak lapel tuxedo which featured an intricately beaded blush to black ombre embroidery. I’ve always been excited when Versace adds menswear to it’s couture collections and always disappointed that there aren’t more stars who embrace these chic, but boundary pushing ensembles. I feel like this is definitely something that Trevor would be drawn to and I can see it come together perfectly styled exactly as it was in the lookbook.
In addition to her Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination for her role in Emily in Paris Ashley Park will also be a presenter at this years Critics Choice Awards. I hope that she will show up to the studio in person for her presenter duties before she heads back to a hotel room to Zoom into the show for her category. Though they might not even announce this category live. So I really want her to show up and give a BOLD glamour moment. I think that this red chiffon Zuhair Murad Spring 2021 RTW sleeveless gown which features intricate feather inspired beaded embroidery, a plunging neckline, an a-line skirt, and a thigh high split is exactly what I want to see Ashley bring to light on the red carpet. I almost changed my wish for Dan Levy to wear for the Critics Choice Awards this morning after seeing a major piece of Boucheron jewelry I want him to wear, but I decided I’m going to hold onto that for a future wish. I went for a really wild and statement making menswear moment for Dan to wear for the Critics Choice Awards red carpet next weekend. I saw this black, gold, and green leaf print Libertine Fall 2021 RTW tuxedo during New York Fashion Week: Digital and fell in love with it. I would definitely add this to my personal wardrobe and I think that Dan could really bring this look to the Critics Choice Awards. Should we have to work with Dan Zooming into the show to most likely collect his Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series trophy I feel like this look would POP on the screen. The last look today is for Shira Haas who I’ve done nothing but Chanel looks for all awards season long and I am not changing that idea any time soon. While I am almost always against brand ambassadors and consistently wearing looks from the same designer all the time I feel like Shira is the perfect ambassador for Chanel. She has a look that we don’t often see from the brand, but her edgy youthfulness works for the brand in a way that other Chanel ambassadors don’t. So as I was looking at looks for Shira to wear for the Critics Choice Awards I thought that this black and white liberty floral print halter gown from the Chanel Spring 2021 RTW collection which features a high halter neck with a pussy bow detail, loose fit blouse, fitted waist, and a high low fishtail skirt would be a perfect choice. This look meshes old Hollywood glamour, 70’s disco, and bohemia and meshes them all together perfectly.
