While the ceremony will be shorter this year, the Screen Actors Guild will still hand out its annual awards. The 2021 SAG Awards will air on Sunday, April 4, in a one-hour, pre-taped event, the show’s producers announced in early March. Hostless, and absent the normal banquet and red carpet, the shows producers have revealed that they still have a lot planned to honor the best actresses and actors of the year. I am very interested in seeing what the show will be and even more importantly what the fashion will be. With the abbreviated and pre-recorded show will the stars still turn out gowns and glamour? We will have to wait till Sunday night to find out. In the meantime let’s make a couple more wishes for what could be for this years show shall we? 
Despite all her nominations this season Cate Blanchett has skipped out on every single virtual awards show and I HATE it. I always love seeing Cate on the red carpet and I am missing her turning out looks. I’ve picked major looks from Alberta Ferretti, archive Armani Prive, and Lanvin and I am continuing that with the look I’ve picked as the must see moment for Cate to wear for the SAG Awards, even if I am doubtful that she will zoom into the ceremony. Cate has long been a fan of Givenchy and has worn looks from all of the brands creative directors. So I would love to see her try to sell me a look from Matthew Williams helm at the brand. I have been imagining Cate wearing this one shoulder white column gown which features a macrame detailed bodice and a tassel detail from the Givenchy Fall 2021 RTW collection. This collection is far from one I really love, but I feel like this gown modified to be lined for modesty (which I am sure will happen for retail) would be a super edgy glam moment for Cate. We usually love Cate more in her classic glam moments, but when she serves up edge I am in love with her looks. I obviously would ditch the coat and style this gown with a sleek updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, a pair of white satin Aquazzura ‘Bow Tie’ crystal embellished pointed toe pumps, and statement aquamarine and emerald Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2020 drop earrings would make this a major fashion moment for Cate. 
Elle Fanning is nominated with her fellow The Great cast members for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. After her super glam custom Gucci gown with Fred Leighton jewels at the Golden Globe Awards I am dying to see Elle give us a super glam moment for the SAG Awards. Now as she isn’t nominated individually or presenting I’m not sure that we will, but I definitely believe that if this were a normal year that Elle would have served up a MAJOR glam moment. I just fell in love with this white strapless beaded tea length cocktail dress from the Georges Hobeika Spring 2021 Couture collection which features sheer detail, 3D floral embroidery, and POCKETS. I feel like Elle with her classically glamorous sensibility would easily be able to sell this look to me. Cocktail dresses for the SAG Awards aren’t really a norm for me, but I think that with a sleek retro inspired updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a pair of white Sergio Rossi ‘Sr1’ crystal studded square toe ankle strap sandals, and a dazzling white diamond Harry Winston teardrop and scroll detailed collar necklace would definitely elevate this look to the level of glamour needed for a major awards show red carpet. 
Gillian Anderson took home both a Golden Globe Award and a Critics Choice Award for her performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown. That same performance has earned her a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series at the 2021 SAG Awards. She is up against her co-star Emma Corrin and I would say that it will most likely be Emma that takes home the Actor. Now in terms of fashion Gillian has exclusively worn Dior Couture this awards season. While I don’t hate her looks I also would love to see her branch out. I know Gillian has some fashion chops and I would love to see her give cozy glamour wearing this petrol blue knit Loewe Spring 2021 RTW long sleeve gown which features multicolored sequined strewn about, a thigh high split, and a knotted sash belt. While a knit gown is not something we would expect to see for any major award shows and I totally understand, but in lockdown I love the idea. Why not take advantage of it now? To make this look SAG Awards perfect for Gillian I would style it with a loose romantic updo, defined eyes, light pink lips, a pair of petrol blue crystal embellished mesh Gianvito Rossi ‘Rania 105’ pointed toe pumps, and dazzling white diamond London collection by De Beers ‘Thames Path’ teardrop cluster earrings. 
There was a huge snub that the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards didn’t nominate Michaela Coel for her performance in I May Destroy You. Well the SAG Awards rectified that and I am hoping that she will bring us a major look. I went through a lot of options when I was thinking about what I wanted to see Michaela wearing for the SAG Awards. Ultimately I decided to go with a customized version of this rose gold sequined Off White Resort 2021 asymmetrical slip style dress which features thin spaghetti straps and the brands name embroidered on the front. I would customize this into a floor length gown with a bit of a train to really make this a glamorous moment for the first time SAG Award nominee to wear for her first ceremony. I would style this custom gown with a short afro, defined eyes, ruby red lips, a pair of rose gold Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind’ three strap crystal heel metallic leather sandals, and simple yet dazzling 18k pink gold set Hueb ‘Luminus’ white diamond cluster earrings to really make it a MAJOR fashion moment for Michaela to bring to life on the “red carpet.” 
Phoebe Dynevor might have been the Diamond of Bridgerton and I tell you that had awards season happened like normal that she would have been the Diamond this season as well. She rocked an edgy glam Louis Vuitton cocktail dress from the Critics Choice Awards and for the SAG Awards where she is nominated with her cast for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series I would have love to see her bring something feminine and romantic to the red carpet. I have been thinking about Phoebe wearing this blush pink Chanel Spring 2021 Couture a-line tea length gown which features thin straps, defined waist, tiered skirt, and red and white dot embroidery all over. It is gorgeous and I know that Phoebe would bring the statuesque elegance to the red carpet. I would style it with a sleek updo, soft dewy makeup with light pink lips, red leather Christian Louboutin ‘Loubi Queen 100’ ankle strap sandals, and a selection of David Webb jewels including a pair of white diamond and ruby feather drop earrings and a matching ruby and white diamond cocktail ring to really make it scream glamour.

For the Golden Globes Carey Mulligan rocked a
Kerry Washington hasn’t made any appearances this awards season, but with her Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series nomination at the SAG Awards I am praying that she ends up serving us a look. I looked at a lot of dresses and there wasn’t a whole lot that spoke to me. This black Iris Van Herpen Spring 2021 Couture high low strapless gown with a peplum train, mini underskirt, and intricate sequin embroidery was the gown that really spoke to me. I can’t say that Kerry is someone I would normally think of when looking at an Iris Van Herpen collection, but the moment I saw this dress I couldn’t help but shake the idea of Kerry bringing this gown to life. I’ve loved her looks since she’s worked with Law Roach and the two make magic together. It would be a super cool edgy glam moment and I believe that Kerry would absolutely be able to sell this gown to me. I would add a sleek side parted bob, defined eyes, dark red glossy lips, a pair of 
Leslie Odom Jr. has been showing up in some super cool fashion moments for award shows so far this season. He rocked 
Nicole Kidman dress in her best custom Louis Vuitton for the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year to partake in the ceremony virtually with her family from their living room in Australia. I am very excited to see what she will wear for this weekends SAG Awards where she is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series. I had several options for what I would like to see Nicole wearing, but it was this black liquid sequin Giambattista Valli Fall 2021 RTW column gown which features a single sleeve, floral embellishment, and a bow detail on the shoulder that really spoke to me. I feel like it this gown is incredibly sleek and glamorous with a hint of sex appeal and Nicole would easily be able to make this look come to life on the red carpet. With this being a pre-recorded virtual event I know this simpler silhouette would be perfect for Nicole. A soft romantic updo, defined eyes, light pink lips,

Maria Bakalova was one of the new faces among the list of nominees this year and it turns out she is quite the fashionista. She has rocked some major glam moments during awards season so far with a raspberry red crystal embellished tulle Armani Prive ballgown and a black velvet Prada gown with a crystal tassel bow and I cannot wait to see what else lies in store for her over the course of awards season. I feel like custom is in her sights for the SAG Awards. Maybe Gucci or Dior. I wasn’t totally thrilled or inspired with anything that I saw, except for this white Marchesa Spring 2021 RTW orchid purple and grey hand painted floral print ball gown which features a statement crystal embellished halter neckline, open back, a-line skirt, and a sweeping train. I don’t know if Maria would wear Marchesa, but her stylist Jessica Paster would option the brand for other clients so I decided to throw caution to the wind and pick this gorgeous gown for Maria. While Marchesa still has the tainted stain of the Harvey Weinstein scandal on it I think that this moment on Maria would be perfect especially if styled with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips,
Kicking things off is Amy Adams whom earned a surprise nomination this awards season for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Movie thanks to her role as Beverly “Bev” Vance in Hillbilly Elegy. I’ve always loved Amy and her style, but in more recent years her looks have missed the mark for me. We haven’t seen her show a fashion look since Emmy night 2019 where she wore a hideous Fendi Couture gown. I want to see her give us GLAMOUR this weekend for the SAG Awards and I know it would be a perfect moment to see her wearing this black Oscar de la Renta Fall 2021 RTW crystal embroidered halter neck column gown which features a draped bodice and keyhole bodice cutout. It is classically glamorous and I think that it would be a great moment for Amy to bring to life for the SAG Awards. I would then take this classic gown and style it with a sleek retro glam updo, thick defined soft smokey eyes, bold red lips, a pair of

Her style has been top notch and I am sad her tenure with the cast of The Crown is coming to an end. After her wins this year I would say that her portrayal of Princess Diana has her as the favorite to take home the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series trophy this year. I went for edgy glam with this silver and black Armani Prive Spring 2021 Couture sleeveless tea length gown with a halter neck vest and a spaghetti strap slip dress for Emma. Now I would ditch the belt from the runway and style this dress with her edgy cropped hairstyle, navy blue glitter Pat McGrath Labs ‘Dark Star’ smokey eyes, soft pink lips, 
Helen Mirren is one of the announced presenters for this weekend’s show. I have always loved seeing Helen on a red carpet and I cannot wait to see what look she will turn. She isn’t afraid of giving bold glamour on a red carpet and as I am working planning out the rest of awards season and headed into events like Cannes I cannot wait for Helen to serve more and more looks again. I was saving images from the Fall 2021 RTW collections when I saw this hot pink Tony Ward long sleeve a-line gown which features intricate beading on the bodice and sleeves, a jagged drop waist, and a tulle skirt. I immediately thought of Helen when I saw this gown and when I saw she was presenting at the SAG Awards I immediately thought of this gown. It’s such a bold statement moment and I know that Helen would be able to sell it to me easily especially with a sophisticated side parted hairstyle, defined eyes, soft pink lips, a pair of 
Finishing out today is Vanessa Kirby who has given some simple yet very chic looks this awards season wearing a
Lady Gaga was supposed to be in my first set of wishes, but I held her back because I wanted to snatch a look right off the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week runways for her to wear on the red carpet tomorrow night. I have all kinds of wishes out of the couture shows that I want to see Gaga wearing, but I really wanted to see her wearing this silver Givenchy Spring 2019 Couture cap sleeve gown which features intricate embroidery and beading, and a flared mermaid skirt. The moment I saw this gown I immediately thought of Gaga for the Oscars, but another gown came down another runway after and I fell in love with that for the Oscars and so I thought if anyone could sell this dramatic modern glam moment to me on the red carpet at the SAG Awards it would be Gaga. Though I will say the carpet this year is a silvery grey instead of red, so this gown could easily fade in. I do think however that Gaga has the presence to really make this a major moment no matter the color of the carpet she is walking. Catherine hasn’t yet been announced as a presenter for this weekend’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, but I would imagine that either way that she will be on the red carpet supporting Michael, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. Irina Shayk was at both the Golden Globe Awards and the National Board of Review Awards to support her nominated baby daddy Bradley Cooper. I was hoping she was going to wow me, but she honestly let me down at both of those events. If she steps out for the SAG Awards with Bradley I want to see Irina make a really chic statement wearing this black fully beaded Dundas Spring 2019 Couture ensemble which features a long sleeve crop top and a high waisted column skirt with a center split. Unlike most designers Peter Dundas showcased his Spring 2019 Couture show while being lauded earlier this month at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala. It was mixed in with looks out of his Pre-Fall 2019 look book. This ensemble in that lookbook was actually a cocktail dress, but I definitely think that the gown is perfection from head to toe. I finally saw Beautiful Boy this weekend and honestly I think Timothee Chalamet should be the winner of this years Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role trophy at the SAG Awards this weekend. I thought his portrayal of Nic Sheff, a spiraling teenage drug addict, was moving and emotional. I felt like I was really able to connect with his performance even never having struggled with addiction in the past myself. Timothee is always one I get excited to see on the red carpet and I am really interested in seeing what he will bring this weekend at the SAG Awards. He definitely is the dude on the red carpet that will take the most risks. He has brought bold patterns from Alexander McQueen and sequined harnesses from Louis Vuitton so far this awards season. I literally woke up yesterday morning and the first thing I did was look at the Schiaparelli Spring 2019 Couture collection. It started my day in a really great way and I am super excited to see it on the red carpet. I was hunting for the perfect look for Yara Shahidi, who will be one of this years SAG Ambassadors giving insight into what it’s like to be at the awards via the SAG social media. She rocked the red carpet last year giving major drama via a tuxedo inspired Ralph Lauren jumpsuit with a big bow and dramatic train last year. I was totally not expecting that from her. She is a style chameleon and can literally do just about anything. I went for more of flirty, feminine moment for Yara to bring to life this year with this chic grey Schiaparelli Spring 2019 Couture tea length gown which features a fully sequined overlay, cami style bodice with a v-neck, a yellow bow detail on the bodice (which I could honestly be okay with being removed,) and a full a-line skirt.
