2021 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 7

Check out all these looks I would have loved to see on a red carpet at a regular Critics Choice Awards. The wishes below are a mix of nominees, presenters, and members of productions that are nominated. I am missing all the glamour and drama of awards season, but I am hoping that there are going to be some major fashion moments tonight.

The 2021 Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday March 7, 2021. You can find all of my wishes for this red carpet here.

2021 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 5

I am loving awards season being back, even if the stars are zooming into the shows and there aren’t really red carpets. The glamour of it all might not be exactly the same, but it’s better than nothing. I am ready for more events and more looks. I am so over the blah moments and ready for more glamour, more effort, and more DRAMA. The five wishes in today’s Critics Choice Awards series are all glamorous, perfectly fitting for this red carpet, even if it were to happen in person, and I want to see them come to life. I can’t even recall if Annie Murphy was at the Globes on Sunday. I don’t remember seeing her and she didn’t post a look on Instagram. I want to see what she has to offer. She has rocked looks from must have labels like Dior and Valentino so I know she has the pull to get really cool moments. As I was flipping through my archives of images to find the perfect look for Annie I thought that this black cady Versace Pre-Fall 2021 fitted tea length gown which features a sweetheart neckline, bra like straps, and charm embellishments would be a really cool moment for her to bring to life for this red carpet. I feel like it definitely speaks to her sexy and glamorous side especially if styled with a sleek ponytail, defined eyes, bold red lips, a pair of major black satin Versace sequin embellished platform sandals, and some sparkle via champagne diamond Sutra three pendant drop earrings set in 18k rose gold.Cate Blanchett has skipped out on all of the virtual award shows so far including the Emmy’s and the Golden Globe’s so I am not holding out hope that she will be delivering a moment for the Critics Choice Awards. That isn’t going to stop me from dreaming. I fell in love with this sleek long sleeve gold Alberta Ferretti Fall 2021 RTW column gown which features intricate crystal, sequin, and tinsel fringe embellishments the moment I saw it and when I was thinking about what look I would love to see Cate wearing on this red carpet I knew that this would be a MAJOR moment. I can’t recall Cate ever doing disco glam on the red carpet, but I know that she would definitely be able to shut it down bringing this moment to life. I would let the gown be the focus of the look styling it with a sleek updo, defined eyes, nude pink lips, a pair of gold metallic leather, suede, and mesh Aquazzura ‘Savoy 105’ pointed toe pumps, and simple Pomellato ‘Nudo’ drop earrings in 18k rose and white gold with mother of pearl, white topaz, & white diamonds to really make this a major fashion moment for Cate. Glenn Close wore a simple maroon Lafayette 148 silk suit for the Globes. It wasn’t a boundary pushing moment, but it was chic. She also seemed to debut a horrid blunt bob with bangs that I just don’t love. I just don’t know how this hairstyle will make for any sort of good red carpet moments. That being said I would still like to see her give the effort and try to give us a look to love. I would love to see Glenn wearing this black Carolina Herrera silk chiffon gown which features long sheer sleeves, pleated bodice embellished with hand-embroidered 3D flowers, jewel neckline, and a dramatic train. It is simple, sophisticated, age appropriate, and elegant moment that I think is perfectly in line with Glenn’s style. I don’t know how to re-imagine her hair to make it work, but I would style this look with defined eyes, nude lips, a pair of black Stuart Weitzman ‘Tasha 100’ glittered mesh pointed toe pumps, and a pair of dazzling white diamond and emerald Chopard Red Carpet Collection cluster earrings with teardrop pendants I think would add the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble. H.E.R. rocked a cool, but very casual, Valentino Couture look for the Globes. While it was cool I want to see an even more glamorous side to H.E.R.’s sense of style. So as I was looking for the perfect look for her to bring to life on the red carpet for the Critics Choice Awards and I saw this super cool black 16Arlington Fall 2021 RTW ruffled suit and thought it would be the perfect moment. This suit is a very flirty take on the classic pantsuit and I love the feminine rock and roll vibe that it gives off which is exactly what I think of when I think of H.E.R.’s style. I think a sleek hairstyle, smokey eyes behind red and green striped clear acrylic Gucci oversized square sunglasses, bold red lips, a pair of black Tom Ford ‘Disco’ platform curved sculptural heel ankle strap sandals, and a statement Jacob & Co. High Jewelry emerald and white diamond choker necklace would definitely make this a MAJOR fashion moment for H.E.R..Finishing out today is the gorgeous Regina King who was easily one of my Best Dressed at the Golden Globe Awards where she wore one of the best custom Louis Vuitton gowns ever made. I am very excited to see what she will wear all awards season long. She is a major fashion girl and loves to show up and show out. I went for a statement suit moment for her to wear for the Critics Choice red carpet opting for this black Alexander McQueen Resort 2021 tuxedo with a bold fuschia asymmetrical bow detail on the blazer. It is a statement look that I would style with a pulled back hairstyle, defined eyes, glossy nude lips, black Christian Louboutin ‘Victorilla’ strappy pointed toe pumps, and a selection of Vanleles jewels including a pair of ruby halo set white diamond ‘The Nile’ stud earrings, a statement ‘Out of Africa’ white diamond and Mozambican responsibly sourced cabochon rubelite shield cocktail ring, and a simple ‘The Nile’ pave set white diamond band ring to really make sure this look comes together perfectly.

The 2021 Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday March 7, 2021. You can find all of my wishes for this red carpet here.

2021 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

So the Golden Globes were last night and I have to say that even though I went into it with low expectations I was quite happy with what we ended up seeing. While all of the nominees, and a few of the presenters, joined the show via Zoom it still felt very normal. It has me excited for the rest of awards season. Several of the people in this set of wishes took home trophy’s last night and I cannot wait to see what they wear for the Critics Choice awards this coming weekend. Kicking things off today is Anya Taylor Joy who took home the Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie award last night for her performance in The Queen’s Gambit. She did so wearing a custom emerald green vintage inspired Christian Dior Couture look. I want to see Anya take to the Critics Choice Awards where she is nominated for the same award giving us fairy glam wearing this lavender Elie Saab Spring 2021 Couture sleeveless feathered skater dress with a high neck and a dramatic chiffon cape. I so would not pick this dress for any other person for a major film/tv awards red carpet, but Anya’s sprite like elegance just spoke to me when I saw this dress. Out of any of the awards Anya is, or could be, nominated for the Critics Choice is really the only one where this dress would work. I would let the dress be the statement of this moment styling the gown with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, glossy nude pink lips, a pair of silver Roger Vivier ‘Marlene Strass’ ankle strap sandals, and simple halo set Norman Silverman emerald cut white diamond stud earrings. Catherine O’Hara was also a big winner last night picking up the Best Actress in a Comedy Series trophy wearing a custom rose print Vera Wang suit. Now compared to that this black and red AZ Factory Spring 2021 RTW long sleeve gown which features a drop waist, exposed zipper, and a full pleated ball skirt is like 3x as glamorous. I will say the first thing I thought when I saw this gown was that it was too similar to the custom Schiaparelli Couture gown that Lady Gaga wore for the Inauguration of President Joe Biden that it would never be worn, but when I thought of Catherine wearing this gown I thought it would be perfect. Now I really do wish that Catherine would bring a super dramatic glamour moment to life. I feel like her wearing this gown would feel perfect. Style it with a sleek updo, defined eyes, red lips, an pair of black crystal embellished mesh Sergio Rossi ‘SR1’ pointed toe pumps, and a statement sugarloaf cabochon chalcedony, hexagonal white agate hoop, carnelian plaque, brilliant-cut diamond, and 18K gold David Webb retro inspired link necklace and It would scream glamour from head to toe. Leslie Odom Jr. might not have taken home a Golden Globe last night but he served up a LOOK. His stylist Avo had him as one of the first gentleman to wear a Valentino Couture look that is pretty much hot off the runway. I won’t like and say I thought it would have been more apt for a red carpet like the Critics Choice or the SAG Awards, but it was a really freaking cool look. Now with that in mind I would love to see him keep up taking sartorial risks turning to the bad boy of menswear Thom Browne for this look for this weekends Critics Choice Awards. I love this black shrunken tuxedo paired with a crisp white shirt and black bow tie. It is basically a classic tuxedo, but done so with shrunken proportions. It’s cool and elegant. I definitely can see Leslie rocking this look and honestly the only thing I would change about the styling is swapping the plain black oxfords for a pair of black and white Thom Browne woven leather brogues. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Uzo Aduba on a red carpet. I hate that lockdown stole the promo tour from Mrs. America from us and is stealing awards season red carpets from us. I will say that after last night I am more hopeful that stars will dress up and have fun and serve glamour this awards. I have always felt that Uzo gives her best looks when she is wearing bold solid colors and so when I was looking for the perfect Critics Choice Awards gown for her I fell in love with the idea of seeing her in this fuschia silk Alberta Ferretti Resort 2021 one shoulder draped gown. It is glamorous and I just feel like it would flow over her gorgeous curves beautifully. I would take this gown and style it with a bun of braids, defined eyes, nude lips, a fuchsia crystal embellished Judith Leiber Couture ‘Slim Slide’ clutch, fuschia pink Amina Muaddi ‘Romy 95’ crystal trimmed scalloped edge pointed toe pumps, and dazzling Anabela Chan chandelier earrings in 18k rose gold vermeil with 18k gold earring posts, hand-set with an array of laboratory-grown synthesised and simulated gemstones including rubies, pink and orange sapphires with rose tourmalines to ensure that this look screams colorful glamour from head to toe for Uzo. Vanessa Kirby closes out today’s wishes. I know that Vanessa has a very simple and sleek approach to dressing, but I want her to put on some beads and crystals and really dazzle us. So I would love to see the Best Actress nominee wearing this black fully beaded Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2021 Couture strapless bustier gown with intricate floral detail, draped hips with fringe, and a thigh high split. It is old Hollywood glamour at its best and I know that it would be an absolutely perfect moment for Vanessa to wear for a red carpet like the Critics Choice Awards. I would make this look scream glamour styling it with a sleek hairstyle tucked behind her ears, defined eyes, nude lips, a pair of strappy black Christian Louboutin ‘Tarlatarte’ PVC detailed strappy sandals, and dazzling white diamond and ruby Amwaj chandelier earrings.

The 2021 Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday March 7, 2021. You can find all of my wishes for this red carpet here.

2020 Venice Film Festival: Tilda Swinton Tribute Gala Red Carpet Wish List

Before I finish out my wishes for the 2020 Venice Film Festival with the closing ceremony wishes tomorrow I want to talk about what could be at the gala where the festival will honor Tilda Swinton with an honorary Golden Lion Award. In a statement about being given this honor Swinton said: “This great festival has been dear to my heart for three decades: to be honoured by her in this way is extremely humbling. To come to Venice, this year of all years, to celebrate immortal cinema and her defiant survival in the face of all the challenges that evolution might throw at her – as at us all – will be my sincere joy.” I always love seeing Tilda Swinton on the red carpet so I am hoping that she will have two different red carpets for her film premiere and the award presentation. For the photocall ahead of the award I would love to see Tilda wearing this winter white Fendi Fall 2020 RTW strong structured short sleeve midi dress which features a pleated a-line skirt. It is a super strong look and fully within Tilda’s usual wheelhouse. I can picture it being a major look with her flame orange red hair, defined eyes, bold orange lips, and a pair of white Fendi ‘FFreedom’ square toe mens loafer inspired sculptural slingback pumps. Now for the premiere I went with something that is much more statement making. This bold pink and red Valentino Spring 2020 Couture gown which features a dramatically ruffled bodice, cummerbund waist, column skirt, and a dramatic train. It is definitely a risk. It isn’t exactly what we are used to seeing from Tilda, much more super girly than androgynous, but I can imagine Tilda making it a major moment. I almost want to see it made custom for her in all Valentino red instead of pink. It would be much more in line with her signature sense of style. The custom red gown styled with a sleek side parted hairstyle, defined eyes, bold red lips, and a pair of red satin Manolo Blahnik ‘LALA’ crystal detailed pointed toe strappy pumps would be the dramatically glamorous moment I know that Tilda loves to bring to life on the red carpet. Today’s wish for Cate Blanchett to wear in Venice is easily my favorite. The moment I saw this black stretchy black crepe Stephane Rolland Fall 2020 Couture sheath gown and features gigantic black gazar ruffled petals with a “caviar and diamonds” embroidery, a cutout back, and a completely covered front I knew I wanted it to be a major moment for Cate in Venice. She’s never given us a Stephane Rolland Couture moment on the red carpet, but I can just imagine her on the Lido red carpet giving us all the glamorous drama wearing this gown. Because the gown is such a statement I would love to see Cate style it with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, black Aquazzura pointed toe silver crystal embellished half d’Orsay pumps, and a selection of Chopard jewels including a pair of Chopard Loves Rihanna pear shaped white diamond earcuffs and a Red Carpet Collection white diamond and emerald cocktail ring. Ludivine Sagnier is known for being a little unpredictable on if she will wear a gown on the red carpet. So I decided to go short for this wish picking this super sexy black Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2020 ruched fitted cocktail dress which features thin straps, bow detail on the bodice, and a pleated flared hem. I feel like this is definitely something I feel like Ludivine would be drawn to and a super chic moment for her to wear on the Venice Film Festival red carpet. I would finish this look with old Hollywood waves, defined eyes, bold red lips, a black Roger Vivier ‘Marlene’ crystal fringe embellished box clutch, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Jonatina’ leather and PVC ankle strap sandals, and Bulgari ‘Barocko’ white diamond and emerald bow detailed drop earrings to really make sure that Ludivine oozes sensual glamour from head to toe. Picking looks for Diane Kruger to represent Armani on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival is definitely a pipe dream. Diane has been quarantined in the United States with her partner Norman Reedus and their young baby. So she won’t be allowed into Italy due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. If she were I would LOVE to see her represent Armani in Venice. I have always loved Diane and her sense of style and the two looks from the Armani Prive archives I would love to see her bring to life on the red carpet are major moments. Let’s start with the white beaded silk one shoulder gown from the Armani Prive Spring 2007 Couture collection which features a beaded arm cuff, cutout stomach, and wrap style column skirt. I definitely love this sexy take on classic glamour. I feel like everything about this look screams Diane’s take on glamour especially if styled with a sleek retro updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, a white crystal embellished Alexander McQueen spider crystal clasp box clutch, a pair of white crystal embellished satin Gianvito Rossi ‘Glam’ ankle strap sandals, and a pair of Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2020 white diamond and emerald floral meets art deco inspired drop earrings. The second look I’ve picked for her is this lavender and black Armani Prive Spring 2016 Couture gown which features a sheer ruffle covered bodice, thin straps, and a sequin detailed tiered skirt. I have always been a huge fan of this gown and would love to see someone bring it to life on the red carpet. I would love to see Diane be that person. I can imagine her really infusing her glam into this look and giving it the major red carpet moment it deserves. A half up half down sleek retro hairstyle, smokey eyes, light pink glossy lips, a black Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ satin ball clasp crystal trimmed box clutch, simple black suede Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ ankle strap sandals, and a pair of dazzling white diamond Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2020 floral heart drop earrings would definitely make sure this look is glamour defined for Diane.

The 2020 Venice Film Festival will open on Wednesday September 2, 2020 and runs through Saturday September 12, 2020. You can see all my Venice Film Festival wishes here.

2020 Venice Film Festival: “The Human Voice” Photocall & Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

The Human Voice was added to the Out of Competition selection in Venice after the full selection was released. The new film by Pedro Almodóvar, filmed and edited in record time as soon as the lockdown was lifted – The Human Voice, adapted from Jean Cocteau and starring Tilda Swinton. Since Swinton is being honored with an Honorary Golden Lion (the top prize in Venice) this year I was surprised that she didn’t have a film screening at the festival. Apparently so was the festival so they added The Human Voice. Almodóvar says: “I am very excited about coming back to Venice in such a special year, with COVID-19 as [an] involuntary guest. Everything will be different, and I am looking forward to discovering it in person.
It is an honour to accompany Tilda in a year in which she is receiving a very much deserved award Almodóvar was given the same honor last year). As a matter of fact, The Human Voice is a festival of Tilda, a display of her infinite and assorted registers as an actress. It’s been a spectacle to direct her.”So to promote The Human Voice I found to superb couture moments for the illustrious Tilda Swinton. I am always a fan of the actresses avant garde style and I cannot wait to see what she will bring to the red carpet in Venice. For the photocall I went for strong suiting with this draped white crepe wool Christian Dior Spring 2020 Couture skirt suit. I adore this simple take on the classic skirt suit and I definitely think that it would be a super chic moment for Tilda to wear for the casual photocall event in Venice. I feel like it would be great with her flame orange red hair in a chic coif, defined eyes, red lips, and a pair of white lace Gianvito Rossi ‘Liliane’ pointed toe pumps. Now for the premiere I went for DAZZLE picking this silver and white floral sequined Givenchy Spring 2020 Couture column gown which features a voluminous cocoon caped bodice. I love this dress and I hope it won’t be lost to the archive. The new creative director is now on the job at Givenchy so I don’t know if the house will allow stylists to option Clare Waight Keller’s final couture collection for the house. I hope so because I know that Tilda would shut it down especially if styled with her signature coif, defined eyes, nude pink lips, and a pair of silver Gianvito Rossi ‘Plexi’ PVC detailed pointed toe pumps. I appreciate that Venice decided to add One Night in Miami and The Human Voice to the selection. It allowed me to add wishes for Cate Blanchett that I felt I was missing. I really wanted to include an Alexander McQueen look for Cate to wear in Venice. I always love when she bring the avant garde labels creations to life on the red carpet. In keeping with Cate’s more sustainable approach to fashion I’ve been including several archive moments I would love to see her bring out and give red carpet moments. We didn’t see many of the looks from the final Alexander McQueen collection from the houses eponymous founder on the red carpet. I would die if Cate showed up on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival wearing this black long sleeve a-line gown which features intricate gold beaded embroidery on the bodice and sleeves, and a pleated skirt from the Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 RTW collection. I feel like it would definitely be a major fashion moment on the red carpet. A sleek updo, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a pair of black and gold Pierre Hardy crystal embellished strappy sandals, and vintage gold Van Cleef & Arpels earrings set with circular-cut diamonds circa 1945 would definitely make sure this look is the perfect balance of drama and glamour. I’d also been thinking of a Prada or Miu Miu look for Venice jury member Ludivine Sagnier so the addition of this set of wishes allowed me to add a set for her. So I would love to see her take this black crinkled silk Prada Resort 2021 strapless midi dress and customize it turning it into a floor length ballgown with a sweeping train. It isn’t an avant garde over embellished moment we are used to seeing from Prada on the red carpet, especially not on a red carpet like this, but I feel like with Miuccia’s turn towards simplicity with the Resort 2021 season that it would be a really cool moment. I think that taking that customized gown styling it with a loose romantic updo, defined eyes, pink glossy lips, a black satin Prada jeweled applique clutch, a pair of black Prada crystal embellished sandals, and Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2020 white diamond teardrop paisley earrings would definitely make it a cool and glamorous moment. I’ve heard that Spanish actress and model Ester Exposito is heading to Venice to walk the red carpets. When I first heard that news my mind went directly to Etro. The Italian fashion brand has become such a major red carpet heavy hitter and I am expecting to see several looks from the label on the red carpet. So I went shopping from the runways and the virtual store racks and didn’t really find anything that I love. So I’m getting creative. I did love this gold lame long sleeve wrap style dress from the Etro Fall 2020 RTW collection which features a daring plunging neckline, center split, and an intricately embroidered wide velvet belt. I would love to see Ester rock a custom gown using this as inspiration. I feel like cutting the sleeves and making this a sleeveless disco gown lengthening the skirt to hit the floor could make it a super sexy glamorous moment for Ester. Taking this gown styling with a sleek high ponytail, defined eyes, pink lips, a gold glitter resin Yliana Yepez ‘Eva’ tassel detailed minaudiere, a pair of gold metallic leather Jimmy Choo ‘Tesca’ strappy sandals, and a statement white diamond and multicolored precious stone Bulgari ‘Barocko’ collection bib necklace would definitely be a super glam moment for Ester. Now in a second wish for her I wanted to give Ester a modern princess moment with this dark midnight blue, gold, and white watercolor marble pattern Georges Hobeika Fall 2020 Couture ballgown which features a plunging neckline and a thin gold belted waist. I really think that this gown would be a gorgeous moment. I would love to see her take this gown and deliver it on the red carpet in Venice with a sleek updo, soft smokey eyes, rose pink lips, a pair of gold ombre glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pointed toe pumps, and a Pomellato High Jewelry ‘Gourmette’ chain necklace made up of 2900 brown diamonds with a total of 69 carats that took the master jewelers 190 hours of work to complete. When I was adding another star who I would love to see rock the red carpet in Venice to represent Armani I really wanted make a statement so I decided to go with Zendaya. We’ve seen Zendaya front row at the Armani Prive Fall 2019 Couture presentation as well as wearing the label for the Spider-Man: Far From Home premiere. So I would LOVE to see Zendaya on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival rocking two MAJOR gowns from the brands archive starting with this hot pink Armani Prive Fall 2007 Couture strapless high low bustier ballgown which features a bow layered ball skirt with black lining. To me this is the Zendaya style version of the iconic Gentlemen Prefer Blondes Marilyn Monroe gown. I really love to see her bring this major moment to life with a sleek center parted hairstyle tucked behind the ears, soft smokey eyes, bold pink lips, a pair of matching hot pink Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ crystal embellished suede and PVC pointed toe pumps, and a dazzling Tiffany & Co. 2020 Blue Book collection white diamond and pink tourmaline strand bib necklace. The second look I picked for Zendaya isn’t as big, but just as statement making. I love this acid green strapless Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture column gown which features a reptile skin beaded body and a feathered hem. This look was from the repeat show in Beijing where Giorgio Armani added a couple of new looks to the ones shown from the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. I would LOVE to see Zendaya slink down a major red carpet like Venice wearing this gown. Make it perfection with an abstract yet sleek retro inspired updo, soft smokey eyes, soft pink lips, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Loubi Queen’ ankle strap sandals. I would also like to see Zendaya highlight a black owned high jewelry brand with this gown styling the look with Vanlees jewels including a pair of white diamond and emerald ‘Legends of Africa’ wing earrings and a matching statement ‘Legends of Africa’ cuff bracelet. Glamour and a message.

The 2020 Venice Film Festival will open on Wednesday September 2, 2020 and runs through Saturday September 12, 2020. You can see all my Venice Film Festival wishes here.

2020 Cannes Film Festival What Could Have Been Wish List: “The Woman In The Window”

Joe Wright’s “Rear Window”-style psychological thriller about the mental collapse of an agoraphobic, alcoholic psychologist has already endured a push back after Disney purchased 20th Century Fox Studios. Adapted from author AJ Finn’s 2018 potboiler, it was originally slated for an October 2019 awards season release, then moved to May 15 of this year, and has yet to have it’s release rescheduled as its fate — like so many movies right now — remains unknown. But a Cannes slot could give this hotly awaited film a chance to rise from the ashes. Co-starring Amy Adams and Julianne Moore this film would have definitely cultivated a glamorous premiere at this years Cannes Film Festival. 2010’s On The Road was the first and only film that Amy Adams has stared in that has screened in Cannes and she didn’t even make the trip to the French Riviera to promote the film. I would have LOVED to see Amy bring her signature glam to Cannes this year to promote The Woman in the Window. I picked two super glamorous and elegant moments for Amy starting with this dark blue Oscar de la Renta draped cap sleeve wool blend midi dress which feature a faux wrap style skirt and a thigh high split. While some would work that full split to its potential I think that is much more of a classy woman and would just let the flesh pop naturally. I think that this dress minus the oxblood leather belt it was styled wit on the runway styled with a sleek center parted hairstyle tucked behind the ears, defined eyes, rose pink lips, and a pair of black and red Gianvito Rossi ‘Caterina’ pointed toe bow detail slingback pumps this look would ooze ladylike sophistication. For the premiere I went for big drama with this stone grey archive Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture ball gown which features a sheer 3-D floral embroidered sleeveless bodice and a high waisted tiered crinkled silk skirt with a dramatic train. This gown has always been in the back of my mind. I’ve never used this gown in a wish before. I’ve been waiting for the right person at the right event to bring this gown out of the archive and Amy in Cannes is definitely the right pair to finally give this gown the red carpet moment it deserves. Amy has worn this color in the past and can get washed out easily wearing it, so the styling has to be PERFECT. To make sure this look just oozed major glam on the red carpet I would love to see Amy style this gown with a sleek retro updo, smokey eyes lined in emerald green, bold red lips, a pair of zinc grey Casadei ‘Blade Modern Love’ pointed toe ankle strap d’Orsay pumps, and a selection of Cartier High Jewelry including modern white diamond, enamel, and cabochon emerald fringe drop earrings and a vintage art deco white diamond and cabochon emerald bracelet.Julianne Moore has screened many films in Cannes and has won the festivals Best Actress award so seeing a film with her amongst the cast screening at the festival. So I started searching for two super moments for Julianne to wear while promoting The Woman in the Window in addition to the two couture moments I picked for her to wear as a L’Orealista from vintage Yves St. Laurent and Givenchy by Clare Waight Keller. For this films photocall I wanted to see Julianne turn to one of her favorite casual brands with this forest green Chloe Fall 2020 RTW cotton jersey midi dress which features long poet sleeves, lace details, a jewel neckline, drop waist, and a pleated skirt. Julianne in any shade of green is always something I am down for and I think that while this is definitely more of a winter color that Julianne would have made it feel light and bohemian for a photocall overlooking the French Riviera. I would do so by styling this look with loose waves, defined eyes, soft pink lips, and a pair of two tone brown Aquazzura ‘Cozumel Plateau’ strappy platform ankle strap sandals. Now for the premiere I hadn’t realized until I started writing this blog post that I had picked an archive runway look for Julianne in addition to Amy. This red chiffon Chanel Spring 1985 RTW draped gown which features a halter neck that turns into a dramatic train and a flowing a-line skirt is the second vintage moment I wanted to see Julianne bring to life in Cannes. I think that this moment would have been absolutely glamorous. Chiffon gowns in Cannes can bring magical moments if the fabric catches the sea breeze on the outdoor red carpet and knowing how Julianne handled that on the red carpet in Venice I know that she would have made this a super glam moment. Styled with a sleek updo, defined smokey eyes, rose pink lips, lipstick red satin Aquazzura ‘Deneuve’ bow detailed ankle strap sandals, and a pair of dazzling three row Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2019 fringe chandelier earrings I know that Julianne would have delivered nothing but glamour on this red carpet. I have several wishes for Cannes regulars today starting with L’Orealista Andie MacDowell. Sometimes Andie delivers WOW moments and sometimes she delivers beautiful but standard looks and sometimes she tries taking a risk and it just doesn’t work. My first wish for Andie was a super sleek statement red Valentino sequined column gown. That would most likely have landed in the WOW category. Today’s wish is much more within the beautiful but standard area. I LOVE this glamorous black silk Carolina Herrera Fall 2020 RTW strapless pailette embellished trumpet gown and I think that it is definitely something that Andie would be drawn to. I was looking and we have really only seen Carolina Herrera on the red carpet in Cannes three times before. Usually we see stars opt for European or couture labels for Cannes, but this super glam gown definitely would have spoken to the elegance that Cannes requires. I think that had Andie worn this gown with old Hollywood waves worn over one shoulder, defined eyes, red lips, a black crystal embellished Judith Leiber Couture ‘Slim Rectangle’ clutch, black Aquazzura ‘Forever’ cut out detailed pointed toe pumps, and a selection of Messika High Jewelry including white diamond ‘Firebird’ intricate cluster earrings, a super chic white diamond ‘Desert Bloom’ riviere necklace, and a white diamond peacock like ‘Desert Bloom’ cocktail ring that she would definitely have had a super glam moment on her hands.  Bruna Marquezine is a friend of Chopard so I was definitely hoping to see her bring the glam to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this year. I wanted to see her wearing a custom version of this sea glass blue Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Fall 2019 Couture ruffled gown which features a plunging neckline removing the sheer yoke, intricate beading, and a mermaid silhouette lengthening the hem to have a dramatic train. This gown with those modifications could definitely make for a perfect Cannes Film Festival gown and I think that Bruna would have been able sell this moment to me with ease. A loose romantic updo, soft smokey eyes, bright pink lips, a pair of silver crystal embellished Rene Caovilla ‘Ellabrita’ ankle strap sandals, and statement Chopard Red Carpet Collection white diamond and paraiba tourmaline pendent drop earrings would have definitely make this look seaside glam from head to toe. Thai actress Praya Lundberg knows how to bring the sexy and the drama to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Over the years she has typically chosen one column gown and one ballgown. In my What Could Have Been wishes I went for two major ballgowns. The first was super glam from Rami Kadi, so for the second look I wanted to infuse some sex appeal into the look. So I picked this black Georges Chakra Fall 2019 Couture asymmetrical one shoulder gown which features a cold shoulder, chest cutout, a sheer beaded column skirt, and a dramatic ruffled bustle train. It would be that dark, sexy glamour moment and I knew that it would have easily been something that Praya would have been drawn to. So to finish this look I would have loved seeing Praya style this gown with a sleek updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, black leather Christian Louboutin ‘Very Cathy’ ankle strap peep toe d’orsay platform sandals, and a pair of dazzling asymmetrical white and black diamond de Grisogono waterfall pendant drop earrings. Originally I was going to pick a more traditional Indian look for my second wish for the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor, but instead I went for dramatic glamour. I have wanted to see this midnight blue shiny Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture gown which features a sweetheart neckline, fitted silhouette, and a dramatic bustle train on a red carpet since it was first presented six years ago. At the time I really wanted to see Eva Longoria wear this gown, but now I feel like Sonam is the perfect person to pull this gown out of the Hobeika archives. The gown itself isn’t beaded or dazzling on its face it has gravitas. I know that with a sleek updo, navy smokey eyes, soft rose pink lips, a pair of midnight blue iridescent crystal embellished Rene Caovilla ‘Celebrita’ platform ankle strap sandals, and a punch of sparkle via a white diamond and sapphire starburst Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2019 collar necklace would have definitely ensured this moment was nothing but dramatic glamour defined.

2020 Cannes Film Festival What Could Have Been Wish List: “Soul”

There is usually one blockbuster animated feature selected to screen as an out of competition at a gala premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Festival director Thierry Fremaux all but confirmed that Pixar’s Soul was going to fill this spot this year in an interview with Variety. The film, now set for a Thanksgiving release, looks like a smart spiritual sister to Inside Out according to Indiewire. Inside Out also screened as a gala at the Cannes Film Festival. While that movie was about the emotions that drive the human mind, Pete Docter’s followup is all about the soul that gives people their humanity. Jamie Foxx voices Joe Gardner, a mild-mannered middle school music teacher who has always dreamed of performing jazz at a lauded club, and the film follows his journey after his soul is accidentally booted out of his body. Other details are slim, but we know that Soul, which is also the rare Pixar feature focused on a person of color, will see Joe attempting to reunite his body and soul after learning some big lessons along the way. Jamie Foxx is a man with style and one of the few gentleman I included in my wishes for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. In the midst of working on my Met Gala wishes as I was contemplating what to do for the postponed Cannes Film Festival I accidentally deleted the folder containing all the runway images I reference for my wishes from a drive on my computer and lost the entire thing. So I had to rebuild it. As I was re-saving my favorites from the collections back to my drive, I saw this classically Missoni knit look from the multi earth tone Missoni Fall 2020 Menswear collection which features a long sleeve collared cardigan, t-shirt, and striped pants and immediately knew that if I was going to do Cannes wishes that it was the perfect look for Jamie to wear if he was going to attend a photocall at the festival. Well obviously I decided to do it and so when I was picking his looks I didn’t even have to think twice about this look. For the premiere I went for something classic with a dazzling twist opting for a copper threaded Celine Fall 2020 Menswear tuxedo which features black satin peak lapels. This look is definitely a great twist on classic tuxedo dressing and I feel like Jamie would definitely rock this look with effortless swagger. Now I don’t see Jamie wearing the pussy bow blouse the look was styled with on the runway instead I would recommend a black button down and a black satin skinny tie. Angela Bassett also stars alongside Jamie Foxx in Soul. This was going to be the first time Angela has attended the Cannes Film Festival since 1997. Over the last two years Angela has definitely shown us that she is a real fashion girl. She has been delivering bold, dramatic, and glamorous moments every single time she has stepped onto a red carpet. So I was really looking forward to seeing what she and her stylist Jennifer Austin were going to cook up for her turn in Cannes. I went opposite of what one would normally expect opting to pick couture for Angela to wear for her Cannes photocall while I picked a RTW gown for her to wear for the premiere. Again as I was rebuilding my archive of runway images I saw this black Elie Saab Fall 2018 Couture suit which consists of a sheer beaded peplum blazer which features a dramatic sash that turns into a train and a pair of skinny fit ankle length pants and it just spoke to me as the perfect photocall moment for Angela. It is sophisticated and sexy all at the same time and out have come together perfectly with full tight curls, defined eyes, nude lips, a pair of black suede Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pointed toe pumps, and a pop of color via red Atelier Swarovski ‘Tigris’ crystal ear clips. For the premiere I went to a designer that Angela has worn for major events including the Emmy’s and the NAACP Image Awards: Azzi & Osta. I wanted to to see Angela bring this column gown from the Azzi & Osta Fall 2020 RTW collection which features a draped gold lamé bodice that turns into a major sash train and a black crepe column skirt. The gown is classic, but the lamé gives it a bit of edge. I think that is exactly what I think Angela should wear on a red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival promoting a film. Styling this gown with a sleek updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a gold art deco pattern Judith Leiber Couture ‘Swanson Gaia’ crystal embellished clutch, a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Very Cathy’ peep toe ankle strap platform sandals, and a gold crystal Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane ‘Golden Shadow’ slim bolster collar necklace would definitely have put the perfect finishing touches on this look for Angela. Tina Fey would have made her Cannes Film Festival debut this year thanks to Soul. The funny lady is up and down to me when it comes to her red carpet style. So had Cannes actually taken place and Tina jetted to the French Riviera I would have loved seeing her do so giving some of her best looks. For the photocall I went for light and elegant pinking this aqua Rochas Pre-Fall 2020 asymmetrically draped midi dress which features short flutter sleeves. This gown is glamorous and elegant and I just know that in the setting of that iconic balcony where photocalls take place in Cannes that this look would have screamed glamour. Style this dress with effortless waves, defined eyes, her thick black rimmed eye glasses, soft pink lips, and a pair of metallic gold Roger Vivier flower strass crystal buckle mid heel pointed toe pumps and I know that Tina would be putting her best foot forward. For the premiere I would have trusted Tina with one of my favorite looks from the Spring 2020 Couture collections with this electric blue liquid sequin Valentino sleeveless mermaid gown. If you’ve been following my Cannes wishes this isn’t the first time this gown has made an appearance. I also picked this gown for Priyanka Chopra. Both ladies I think would look fantastic wearing this gown, but each would bring it to life in a different way. I think that Tina would definitely make it more of a modern classic moment styling it with a loose updo, defined eyes, red lips, electric blue satin Aquazzura ‘Deneuve’ pointed toe pumps, and a selection of Chopard ‘Magical Setting’ collection white diamond jewels including a pair of drop earrings and a matching cocktail ring. Elsa Hosk had one of the best gowns in Cannes last year channeling her inner Lauren Hutton wearing custom rainbow sherbet Etro. It was one of my favorite looks of all of last year. The gorgeous model is basically the living embodiment of Barbie and I really wanted to see her deliver glamour on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this year. While I would imagine she would have been back in Cannes with Etro this year I went for goddess glamour picking this sky blue chiffon Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Spring 2020 Couture gown which features a plunging neckline, chain detail on the shoulders, knot detail on the waist, and sash scarves hanging from the shoulders. Now the gown is gorgeous all on its own, but in Cannes you have to go big or go home. So I would ask Alberta to custom make this gown for Elsa with a long dramatic train. Finish this look with old Hollywood waves over one shoulder, thick winged eyes, hot pink lips, a pair of silver crystal embellished Rene Caovilla ‘Cleo’ coil strap sandals, and dazzling de Grisogono white diamond and cabochon sapphire teardrop earrings and Elsa would have definitely had another major glamour moment for this years Cannes Film Festival. In the second wish I wanted to see Helen Mirren bring to life on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet I really wanted to see her bring this sage and brown Azzedine Alaia Fall 2020 RTW long sleeve gown which features all over pleating, a cinched waist, and a plunging neckline. When I saw this gown several months ago I knew it would be perfect for Helen and I was just waiting for the right time to make the wish. As I was pulling the wishes for Cannes 2020 together I saw this dress again and I knew it was going to be perfect. What sealed the deal was when I saw a pair of light green tsavorite and aquamarine Chopard Red Carpet Collection drop earrings that would perfectly compliment this dress. Helen knows how to sell a look and I know she would do just that with this gown. Now I can say that just as presented with those earrings, the neckline brought up just a little, a dark green satin Judith Leiber Couture ‘Soho’ coffered clutch, and black sheer Jimmy Choo ‘Romy 85’ sequin embroidered pointed toe pumps that this look would be perfect for Helen. But I might also want to see the dress modified to make it even more of a Cannes moment for Helen adding a train to really make sure this look exudes regal elegance. A curly updo, defined eyes, and dark antique rose pink lips would add the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble.

2020 Cannes Film Festival What Could Have Been Wish List: “Ammonite”

A number of upcoming UK features were believed to have set their sights on autumn festivals before the pandemic hit including Francis Lee’s romantic drama Ammonite, starring Kate Winslet as Victorian fossil hunter Mary Anning opposite Saoirse Ronan. It is Lee’s second feature after God’s Own Country, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Now while it looked like it was set for a fall festival it also popped up in several Cannes Film Festival selection predictions. I think postponing the festival to the fall could see this film selected for the competition. So here we are with wishes to see it brought to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, if selected when it is finally rescheduled. Kate Winslet hasn’t been to the Cannes Film Festival since 1997. Since then she has won an Oscar and become a film legend. When it comes to fashion I don’t really get excited when I see Kate’s name pop up. She knows how to deliver glamour, but its usually very simple. You can see that reflected in the looks I’ve picked for her to wear while promoting Ammonite at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. For the photocall I went elegant suiting for Kate with this red Michael Kors Fall 2020 RTW ensemble which consists of a wool-gabardine blazer with a chain detail and a matching silk georgette pleated shirt dress with a neck tie. It is a perfect balance of structure and flow and I think that would make for a super chic photocall moment for Kate especially if styled with elegant waves, defined eyes, nude lips, and a pair of gold snakeskin Aquazzura ‘Forever 120’ cutout pointed toe pumps. For the premiere I went with classic glamour for Kate opting to put her in this black tiered strapless ruffle silk chiffon mermaid gown from the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2020 RTW collection. It is definitely something I can easily see Kate wearing for just about any red carpet. A sleek retro inspired updo, smokey eyes, bold red lips, a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Garden 120’ platform ankle strap peep toe sandals, and a statement Bulgari ‘Cinemagia’ white diamond geometric collar necklace would all ensure that Kate delivers elegant glamour from head to toe on the red carpet. Saoirse Ronan is one of the stars whose name I love seeing pop up for red carpets. She is always one who will take risks on the red carpet and I would have high expectations for Saoirse to bring to her Cannes Film Festival debut. She has been to the London Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, and the Berlin Film Festival in the past, but no other festival compares to the glamour we see in Cannes. For the Ammonite photocall I went with a modern take of the safari suit with this olive green Galvan Pre-Fall 2020 suit which features a ring belted double breasted blazer and a pair of high waisted flared trousers. It would be a really chic moment for Saoirse to bring to the Cannes photocall balcony which overlooks the water of the French Rivera. This look would definitely be that super chic casual moment for Saoirse with a sleek center parted hairstyle tucked behind the ears, defined eyes, pink lips, a pair of nude, white, & gold Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Lexi’ criss-cross strap pointed toe pumps, and Mateo New York ‘Ring of Pearl’ hoop with diamond ear jackets. For the premiere I want to see Alessandro Michele customize a look from the Gucci Pre-Fall 2020 collection for Saoirse. I saw this emerald green and red mini dress which features intricate black beaded embroidery throughout and fell in love with it. I was obsessed with this dress as soon as I saw it and thought immediately of Saoirse wearing a gown of this look. Now to customize it I would customize this Edwardian inspired look first removing the pink taffeta that is under the fringe of the sleeves and creating a floor length tiered skirt alternating red and green panels. Red and green together has the potential to read very Christmas-y, but I think that this look would definitely make this a really cool moment for Saoirse to wear for her very first Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Style the look with a sleek center parted updo, smokey eyes, red lips, a pair of simple black suede Gucci strappy ankle strap sandals, and a pair of white diamond and emerald Chopard Red Carpet Collection teardrop pendant drop earrings and everything about this look would scream high glam. It was teased that Adut Akech was expected to attend the Cannes Film Festival for the first time this year. As she has become one of the top models in the world it doesn’t surprise me that she was able to snag some coveted premiere invitations. For her debut on the red carpet into the Palais de Festivals I would love to see Adut wearing this chartreuse green silk satin Elie Saab Spring 2020 Couture one sleeve ball gown which features asymmetrical fan details on the shoulder and hip as well as a daring thigh high asymmetrical hem and a dramatic train. I was originally going to honor her BFF status with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli for her first Cannes Film Festival red carpet, but to be honest I feel like I am ready to see Adut branch out and become the red carpet icon like she has become a runway icon. So this statement look would definitely be a way for her to catch eyes. I think that Adut’s invites were going to come courtesy of festival sponsor Chopard, so I wanted to make sure that she had some major Chopard jewels were incorporated into the look. So a pair of major pink sapphire, tourmaline, peridot, amethyst, and sapphire paisley cluster earrings from the 2018 Chopard Red Carpet Collection would definitely add the perfect amount of sparkle to this look. To make sure this look is finished perfectly from head to toe I would style the gown with Adut’s signature buzzed hair, defined eyes, deep red glossy lips, and a pair of gold Christian Louboutin ‘Impera’ laser cut strappy pointed toe pumps.Praya Lundberg has been a L’Orealista, the fancy way of saying L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel, since 2015. Over the years in Cannes we have seen Praya go from super sexy in Versace to uber dramatic in Michael Cinco Couture. I want to see Praya deliver elegant glamour on this years red carpet wearing this champagne gold Rami Kadi Spring 2020 Couture crossover ball gown which features tiered ruffles embroidered with Swarovski and flower sequins, halter neckline, keyhole cutout, and a criss-cross open back. The look is super feminine glamour and I feel like it would make for a superb moment for Praya to deliver on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet as a L’Oreal ambassador. Styling the look with a sleek bun updo, defined eyes, rose pink lips, a pair of nude gold Jimmy Choo ‘Dochas 100’ ankle strap crystal embellished metallic leather sandals, and a pair of de Grisogono champagne diamond fan earrings set in rose gold would ensure that Praya once again delivers a chic moment on this red carpet.

2020 Met Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 11

According to the New York Times, the works of Virginia Woolf and early 20th century French philosopher Henri Bergson have heavily influenced the theme of this years Met Gala, which is “About Time: Fashion and Duration.) According to reports the curator-in-charge at the Costume Institute Andrew Bolton is planning on combining objective time (calendar years) with subjective time (moments of creativity). In an article breaking down the 2020 Met Gala theme on Cosmopolitan.com they posed the question “Is everyone going to be dressed as a clock?” This question really made me roll my eyes. If this is what Cosmopolitan is putting out there as how people should dress I might as well not pay attention to the red carpet because clock look after clock look will get really boring. That being said, the answer to that question made a lot more sense to me: “Honestly, maybe. But designers could take this theme wherever they want! Theoretically, attendees could wear something timeless and that would embody the theme, or they could do the opposite and lean hard into a specific year.” That seems more like what we should expect to see on the Met Gala red carpet this year. The five looks in today’s set of wishes definitely all bring the timeless glamour and elegance. So let’s get into them shall we? At the 2019 Met Gala Giambattista Valli dressed EIGHT people for the red carpet. In all my wishes for this years red carpet I have picked three looks from the label I want to see on the red carpet. I have long been a fan of this petal pink strapless satin gown with a dramatic a-line bustle train from the Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 Couture collection since it was first presented. Honestly I am shocked that almost two full years since it was first presented on the runway that it still hasn’t been snatched up for a red carpet moment. I was staring at this super classic feminine moment in the mix of all the gowns I wanted to see on this red carpet and was wondering who should bring it to life on the red carpet. The thought of Anne Hathaway wearing this gown crept into my mind and well as we are here now obviously never left. Anne started working with power stylist Erin Walsh (who also dresses Alison Brie, Naomi Watts, Thandie Newton, and Sarah Jessica Parker) last year and quickly started reminding me why I fell in love with her style in the first place. I have always loved when Anne delivers uber chic glamour moments on the Met Gala red carpet. This Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown is exactly that and I think that taking this gown and styling it with a sleek updo, defined eyes, bright pink lips, a pair of light pink Jimmy Choo ‘Crystal Love’ pointed toe pumps, and a statement white and pink diamond Chopard Red Carpet Collection floral collar necklace would make sure that Anne delivers her best Met Gala moment in a while. Donald Glover just dropped a surprise new album and I am sure he will be making all kinds of appearances over the next several months to promote it, well once this whole COVID-19 crisis ends at least. I would imagine that Anna Wintour will most likely have him as a guest at this years Met Gala. He is a good friend to the house of Gucci and so when I was picking the perfect look for him to bring to life on this red carpet this Gucci Pre-Fall 2020 Menswear tuxedo which features black silk GG brocade wide lapel tuxedo jacket, a ruffled button down shirt with ruffled cuffs, and a pair of tapered silk pants. The look is 70’s at its best and I think that Donald would easily be able to bring this look to life on the red carpet especially if styled with a pair of black glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Colonnaki’ tassel flat loafers with a silver heel. Joan Smalls has walked the Met Gala red carpet several times over the last decade. Wearing looks from Roberto Cavalli, Prabal Gurung Atelier, Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and more. The supermodel knows how to rock a red carpet and I really want to see her bring sensual glamour to the red carpet at the 2020 Met Gala this year. To do that I turned to this superb old Hollywood glam black tulle and silver crystal embellished Alberta Ferretti Fall 2020 RTW strapless column gown which features a ruffled sweetheart neckline. This gown as presented on the runway is almost ready to walk the red carpet at the 2020 Met Gala. If I were Joan’s stylist Eric McNeal I would ask Alberta Ferretti to modify this gown to allow it to have a long dramatic train. The glamour of this look is perfect for this years theme. A sleek updo, smokey eyes, dark burgundy lips, a pair of black Rene Caovilla crystal embellished ankle strap sandals, and white diamond de Grisogono tassel drop earrings would finish this look beautifully. Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova is a regular at the Met Gala. I was looking for the perfect person to bring this silver sequin and black cage tea length ensemble from the Givenchy Fall 2019 Couture collection and when I remembered that Maria wore the label for the Met last year and with her height I do believe that Maria would definitely be able to sell this look to me with ease on the red carpet. The look definitely is a statement and while I most want to see someone like Charlize Theron wear a look like this I do believe that Maria has what is takes to still sell this look to me especially if styled with a sleek center parted hairstyle tucked behind the ears, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of black and silver crystal embellished Givenchy mule sandals, and dazzling white diamond Messika High Jewelry ‘Wild Moon’ cluster earrings. In my wishes I talk about letting the gowns dictate who I want to see wearing them in my Met Gala wishes. I went through the collections and picked gowns I thought would fit this years theme. Valentino brought several options for me from several of their collections. I was looking at this emerald silk faille strapless trumpet gown which features a sweetheart neckline from the Valentino Spring 2020 Couture collection and looking at all of the stars who were seated front row at the show. Bollywood star and L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel Sonam Kapoor was seated front row at the show and that is how I decided that she would be the perfect person to bring this look to life on the red carpet. Many of the other L’Oreal Paris spokesmodels have been guests on the Met red carpet and I think that it is about time that Sonam gets her chance. She knows how to deliver major fashion moments on the red carpet and this color gown on her I know it would be a moment to die for. Styling the look with a sleek large vintage inspired bun updo, smokey eyes, deep red glossy lips, the runway white opera length gloves detailed with black silk bows, matching green Aquazzura ‘So Nude’ slingback sandals, and a statement Chopard Red Carpet Collection white diamond and emerald collar necklace would definitely ensure this moment is dramatic glamour defined from top to toe.

Milan Fashion Week Fall 2020 RTW Red Carpet Wish List

As they say fashion week stops for nothing. Well this season the Coronavirus tried to shut down the bi-annual Milan Fashion Week, and only partially succeeded. While the theaters on the final day of Milan Fashion Week might have been devoid of the usual guests of editors, buyers, celebrities, and influencers the shows still went on with those aforementioned people watching the collections come down the runway via a livestream from their hotel rooms. Overall I feel like while in shear number I was disappointed in the offerings that came out of Milan, but overall the quality of moment far exceeded both New York and London. In my wishes below you will find some absolutely major wishes for which I am now sending major positive energy out into the universe to manifest the red carpet moments and keep be excited about fashion. After loosing inspiration towards the end of last year and a mostly lackluster and rushed awards season the looks below give me hope that this year will have major glamour moments in store for us.
