2021 SAG Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

“We’re looking at trying to do a unique award ceremony in an hour and leave people saying, which they very rarely do [with an awards show], ‘Man, I wish we had more,'” SAG Awards co-executive producer Todd Milliner toldĀ Variety about this years ceremony. That has me very intrigued. After taking a lot of time to find my inspiration to write wishes for this years event I’ve finally found it. While I am disappointed that this years show isn’t going to be live I am still excited to see what fashion the stars will bring to this show. Another of the producers for the show Kathy Connell said “We hope they [the nominees] respect the show enough and everybody does, and their fellow actors, that they don’t want to disappoint the audience at home by letting any surprises go.” So far this is true and it seems like even stylists are holding images of looks to release them when the red carpet would usually take place. For the Golden Globes Carey Mulligan rocked a draped white Prada column gown. I wasn’t thrilled with the fit of the gown and the look was lacking great hair and makeup. She kept a similar beauty look with a white satin suit for the Critics Choice Awards. It seems like white has been her color of choice this awards season so with that in mind for the SAG Awards I would love to see Carey bring something incredibly chic from head to toe to life. I found the perfect look for Carey in this vintage Chanel Couture ensemble which is a white short sleeve lace blouse, a black banded waist, and a white sequin diamond pattern embroidered a-line tea length organza skirt from the brands Spring 2001 Couture collection. I have been loving vintage Chanel in lieu of many of Virginie Viard’s collections and I believe that Carey would look absolutely phenomenal wearing this gorgeous gown. With a soft curly romantic updo, defined eyes, antique rose pink lips, a pair of white Jimmy Choo ‘Romy 85’ crystal trimmed pointed toe pumps, and antique Victorian white pearl and white diamond silver-upon-blacken gold drop earrings from London based vintage jewelry dealer Jewellery Discovery I know that Carey would have a phenomenal glamour moment on her hands. Kerry Washington hasn’t made any appearances this awards season, but with her Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series nomination at the SAG Awards I am praying that she ends up serving us a look. I looked at a lot of dresses and there wasn’t a whole lot that spoke to me. This black Iris Van Herpen Spring 2021 Couture high low strapless gown with a peplum train, mini underskirt, and intricate sequin embroidery was the gown that really spoke to me. I can’t say that Kerry is someone I would normally think of when looking at an Iris Van Herpen collection, but the moment I saw this dress I couldn’t help but shake the idea of Kerry bringing this gown to life. I’ve loved her looks since she’s worked with Law Roach and the two make magic together. It would be a super cool edgy glam moment and I believe that Kerry would absolutely be able to sell this gown to me. I would add a sleek side parted bob, defined eyes, dark red glossy lips, a pair of black Aquazzura ‘Moon Crystal’ crystal embellished ankle strap sandals, and a statement emerald and white diamond de Grisogono collar necklace to really make this a statement edgy glam moment for Kerry from head to toe.Leslie Odom Jr. has been showing up in some super cool fashion moments for award shows so far this season. He rocked hot off the runway Valentino Couture for the Golden Globe awards and Celine look from a collection we haven’t seen a lookbook from for the Critics Choice Awards. I am very excited to see what is last few stops along awards season including this weekends SAG Awards. I’ve always thought that Leslie in classic menswear styles with a twist. That is exactly what I found in the Tom Ford Fall 2021 Menswear collection. I adore this black leopard print tuxedo jacket styled with a silk button down shirt and black tuxedo trousers. It is a cool moment and I definitely believe that Leslie would be able to sell this look with ease. I would keep the styling rather simple finishing the look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo Orlato Flat’ glittered velvet and patent leather oxfords. Nicole Kidman dress in her best custom Louis Vuitton for the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year to partake in the ceremony virtually with her family from their living room in Australia. I am very excited to see what she will wear for this weekends SAG Awards where she is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series. I had several options for what I would like to see Nicole wearing, but it was this black liquid sequin Giambattista Valli Fall 2021 RTW column gown which features a single sleeve, floral embellishment, and a bow detail on the shoulder that really spoke to me. I feel like it this gown is incredibly sleek and glamorous with a hint of sex appeal and Nicole would easily be able to make this look come to life on the red carpet. With this being a pre-recorded virtual event I know this simpler silhouette would be perfect for Nicole. A soft romantic updo, defined eyes, light pink lips, black crystal embellished mesh Rene Caovilla pointed toe slingback pumps, and a selection of jewels from Fred Leighton including a pair of Georgian pendeloque rose cut white diamond drop earrings, a pink spinel and white diamond cocktail ring, and a 1960’s Colombian emerald and white diamond cocktail ring would all tie this look up together in one glamorous package. Viola Davis has been loving bold prints lately. She’s rocked Lavie by CK for the Golden Globes, XulyBet for a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon, and Duro Olowu for the NAACP Image Awards. Each one was statement making and bold. Never a look I would have expected to see from Viola and who knows if they are looks she would have chosen to wear had this been a regular year. I didn’t go the bold pattern for my SAG Awards wishes I really wanted to see Viola wearing this teal chiffon Elie Saab Fall 2021 RTW a-line flowing gown with a sweetheart crystal halter neckline, ruched bodice, and a crystal waist. I saw this gown and knew immediately it was perfect for Viola. It was the first gown I picked for my SAG Awards wishes. It was actually the thought of not putting this wish into the universe that kept me coming back to look at my wishes and persevering to make sure I got them up. To make this a perfect red carpet moment I would love to see Viola style this gown with a teased afro hairstyle, smokey eyes, deep burgundy glossy lips, a silver crystal embellished Judith Leiber Couture slim faceted rectangle clutch, a pair of strappy silver Casadei ankle strap platform sandals, and selection of Thelma West jewels including simple white diamond drop earrings and a statement white diamond cushion cut cocktail ring.

The 2021 SAG Awards special will broadcast on Sunday April 4, 2021. You can see all my wishes for this years show here.

2021 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 7

Check out all these looks I would have loved to see on a red carpet at a regular Critics Choice Awards. The wishes below are a mix of nominees, presenters, and members of productions that are nominated. I am missing all the glamour and drama of awards season, but I am hoping that there are going to be some major fashion moments tonight.

The 2021 Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday March 7, 2021. You can find all of my wishes for this red carpet here.

“Music” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Music is the much anticipated directorial debut of songstress Sia. The film focuses on Zu, played by Kate Hudson, who is newly sober when she receives news that she is to become the sole guardian of her half-sister named Music, a young girl on the autism spectrum, played by Maddie Ziegler. The film explores two of Sia’s favorite themes finding your voice and creating family. The film did gain some push back for casting Maggie who doesn’t have autism in the role of someone who does. I would have loved to see this film have a red carpet as Sia, Kate, and Maddie all have in incredible sense of fashion. Below are the three looks I would have wanted to see them wear on the red carpet for there premiere had COVID not stolen it from us.Ā  Sia has always had an unique sense of style. It is bold, quirky, and avant garde. I tend to love it because of how odd it is. When I was putting together this wish I had several options about what we could possibly have seen and what stuck out the most to me was this coral feathered Roksanda Spring 2021 RTW sleeveless peplum sack style gown. It is all about the drama shapelessness for me. I feel these are things that Sia would be drawn to. Now I’m not sure she would wear a fully sleeveless gown so I would ask Roksanda to create a customized version with coral tulle blouson sleeves with ruffled cuffs. I would love to see her bring this moment to life with a big blonde and coral retro banged updo that obscures the face (one of Sia’s signatures), a coral Guibert rose fascinator, and a pair of gold croc embossed Jimmy Choo ‘Maple 125’ round toe ankle strap meets slingback d’Orsay platform pumps.Kate Hudson always knows how to bring the glamour to the red carpet. She does a beautiful job of meshing of the different aspects of her style into her red carpet looks. She is all about the bohemian meets the glamizon meets rock and roll. So as I was starting to think about what I would have wanted to see Kate wear on the red carpet for the premiere I thought that this black Balmain Spring 2021 RTW tuxedo which features a crystal peak lapel blazer with pagoda shoulder, a silk cami top, and crepe flared trousers with a crystal tripe down the side would be another perfect look to mesh those sensibilities together yet again. It is very sexy and glamorous with a lot of high octane rock and roll spirit. A sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a black Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud Crystal’ spiked crystal detailed clutch, black Christian Louboutin ‘Galativi P Strass 100’ mesh detailed pointed toe pumps, and a pair of asymmetrical white diamond Messika Paris ‘My Twin’ earrings would definitely add the perfect finishing touches to this look. Maddie Zeigler was to make her leading role live action feature film debut with Music. This would not have been her red carpet debut by any means, but the pull of being the lead in a highly anticipated could definitely have brought even bigger things for her. Maddie has sat front row at Rodarte and been dressed by Giambattista Valli, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera, and Marc Jacobs and I would have loved to see her bring a major moment to the red carpet for this premiere. I would have loved to see her bring this hot off the runway black Iris Van Herpen Spring 2021 Couture high low gown with intricate metallic foil detailed gown to life. I definitely feel like it is sexy, but not too sexy for her modest 18 years. To really make this a major movie star glamour moment I would have styled this gown with a sleek center parted hairstyle, defined eyes, bold matte red lips, a pair of strappy black Aquazzura ‘Luminous 105’ strappy sandals, and edgy yet glamorous Yeprem ‘Mystical Garden’ 18k white gold and white diamond earcuffs. Oh what could have been.

“The Kissing Booth 2” Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

Praise be to Netflix. While most film studios have consistently pushed back the release dates of their films the straight to stream service has not pushed back any planned releases. I remember being bored two years ago and putting on The Kissing Booth for shits and giggles. I actually ended up quite enjoying the movie. It was fun and light. So I am hoping that the sequel will have that same feeling when it is released next weekend. With college decisions looming, Elle (played by Joey King) juggles her long-distance romance with Noah (played by Jacob Elordi), changing relationship with bestie Lee (played by Joel Courtney) and feelings for a new classmate. I am really sad that the film wont have a red carpet premiere as I have really fallen in love with Joey King. She doesn’t conform to what is expected and always has fun on the red carpet. For this premiere I turned to the same designer whom Joey wore earlier this year for the Golden Globe Awards: Iris Van Herpen. The Dutch designer only showed ONE look during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Online. The dress was dubbed “the Transmotion dress.” Anchored by an intricate lattice of black branches — laser-cut and hand-stitched in duchess satin — that erupt into flower-like sprays of white silk organza petals, the edges crimped and undulating. What’s more, the bodice and hem sprout delicate, transparent filaments that end in seed-like black crystals. They orbit the dress and have a life of their own. This super avant garde yet super feminine dress is absolutely something I think that Joey would be able to sell to me on the red carpet. She knows how to make those more avant garde options come across effortless. I really do think that rocking this dress with a sleek wavy updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a pair of black Jimmy Choo ‘Thyra’ crystal embellished ankle strap sandals, and asymmetrical white diamond Yeprem ‘Snowflakes’ asymmetrical diamond earrings would have ensured that Joey would have given us a major Best Dressed of the Year worthy red carpet moment.

The Kissing Booth 2 is set to drop on Netflix Friday July 24, 2020.

2020 Met Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 26

The inspiration for the 5 looks in today’s wishes spans a whole gambit from the 18th century pannier to 60’s high society to Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball. Honestly where inspiration can be drawn from for the 2020 Met Gala with the theme of “About Time: Fashion and Duration” is almost endless. The exhibition spans the fashion over the last 150 years. That leaves a lot room for interpretation. While I think timeless glamour is what we are most likely going to see dominate on the Met Gala red carpet I think the looks in this set of wishes are great options to really showcase the range of looks we could see.Looking into the history of Iris Van Herpen designs on the Met Gala red carpet it seems like we have just seen the label worn 3 times. Liu Wen wore the label in 2016, Solange Knowles wore the label in 2018, and Jordan Roth wore the label last year. The dress worn by Solange is actually in this years exhibition, so I would imagine that the designer will be featured on this red carpet as well. While the label has only dressed one star per carpet in the past I’ve picked two very different looks for two very different stars to wear on this years red carpet. We’ve already seen my pick for Danai Gurira wearing the label on the red carpet, so now let’s discuss the gown I want to see Cara Delevingne bring to life. Iris van Herpen is a Dutch fashion designer who is widely recognized as one of fashion’s most talented and forward-thinking creators who continuously pushes the boundaries of fashion design. For Cara I would love to see her wearing this bone cream and black Iris van Herpen Spring 2020 halter gown which features intricate threading and jutting pannier inspired hips. This collection draws inspiration from the sensory processes that occur between the intricate composition of the human body, mirrored with the fibrous marine ecology of our oceans. Honestly to me this gown does the 18th century style in such a new, futuristic way I feel like Cara is one of the few who could really bring this look to life on a red carpet. Cara has sold many Iris Van Herpen moments to me on the red carpet and I do believe that she would sell this look to me with ease. Styling this gown in a super sleek manner pairing it with a sleek high pony tail, smokey eyes, Chanel Rogue Allure Velvet Extreme Intense Matte Lip Colour in ‘Modern’, a pair of simple black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistsong’ ankle strap sandals, and a bit of sparkle via Sutra ‘Signature’ collection palm burst cluster earrings in 18k blackened gold and diamonds would enure that Cara owns this look on the Met Gala red carpet. Greta Gerwig attended the Met Gala 4 times. Twice wearing looks I loved and twice wearing looks I loathed. For this years red carpet I decided to go to a label we haven’t really seen in a major manner at the Met in a past: Lela Rose. I have always loved chic feminine moments that Lela has created and feel like this year’s theme would be the perfect time for her to finally have a major moment. Greta’s stylist Cristina Ehrlich has been known to try out designers who haven’t gotten Met Gala moments and has been a huge fun of Lela Rose. She has put Greta in many Lela Rose creations over the years so when I was starting to think of who should wear this platinum metallic jacquard Lela Rose Fall 2020 RTW asymmetric gown which features an off the shoulder, draped waist, a-line skirt, and a side drape Greta immediately popped into my mind. This super 50’s/60’s high society glam is something I imagine being a perfect for this years red carpet. I would want to see that side drape extended into a major train moment to really make sure this gown is dramatic enough for the Met Gala red carpet. The gown would be perfectly styled with a sleek center parted beehive style, defined eyes, dark red lips, a champagne satin Judith Leiber Couture ‘Soho’ coffered crystal clasp clutch, a pair of beige satin Roger Vivier ‘Flower Strass Buckle’ crystal embellished pointed toe pumps, and Irene Neuwirth one of a kind opal drop earrings. It would definitely make for a major moment for Greta to bring to life on the Met Gala red carpet. I feel like it has been a really long time since we have seen an Armani Prive moment on the Met Gala red carpet. I feel like that has to change this year, hence my three wishes to see the brand on this years red carpet. This is my final Armani Prive for this years red carpet. I have been obsessed with this black liquid sequin Armani Prive Spring 2019 Couture strapless jumpsuit which features a plunging v-neckline, beaded fringe details on the neckline and on hip pockets, and flared cuffs on the ankle length pants since this collection was first presented last January. I have made several wishes to see this look brought to life on the red carpet, but none of them really worked for me for the Met Gala. Instead I thought it would be a major moment for Kerry Washington to deliver on this years red carpet. She has been shunning the typical gown a lot this year in favor for bold sexy moments. I really do believe that while I typically believe that gowns are needed for the Met Gala that this look would be able to hold it’s own against some of the more dramatic gowns. Making this look super sleek and sexy with a sleek center parted bob, smokey eyes, bold red lips, a pair of black satin Christian Louboutin ‘Antinorina’ crystal embellished strappy half d’Orsay pointed toe pumps, a selection of Nikos Koulis jewels including a pair of ‘Oui’ collection art deco drop earrings with pear shape and emerald cut rubies, pear shape, oval and emerald cut white diamonds and black enamel, a ‘Oui’ collection geometric bracelet with rubies, white diamonds and black enamel, and a ‘Oui’ collection wave bracelet with rubies, white diamonds and black enamel would definitely make this a major moment. Inspired by Truman Capote’s 1966 Black and White Ball, the glamorous Oscar de la Renta Fall 2020 RTWĀ  collection twinkled against the stunning backdrop of the New York Public Library. The collection delivered superb moments that I feel we will undoubtedly see a couple of moments from the label on the red carpet at this years Met Gala. This beautiful strapless silver Oscar de la Renta Fall 2020 RTW bead embellished tulle bone structured ballgown is definitely perfect for this years Met Gala and I have been thinking that this gown would be perfectly brought to life by Lily Aldridge. The supermodel has been wearing a lot of vintage looks lately, but I feel like she would be the perfect person to bring this gown to life at the Met. She knows how to deliver sensual drama on the red carpet and that is exactly what this gown is. As I was looking back at Lily’s past Met Gala red carpet looks I realized that I have never been wowed by her on the Met steps. I think this gown has potential to be her best Met moment ever especially if styled with sleek high bun updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a pair of silver Christian Louboutin ‘Spikaqueen’ iridescent pointed toe PVC crystal embellished ankle strap pumps, and a statement white diamond Bulgari ‘Giardini Italiani’ leaf collar necklace. Honestly I am shocked that when I looked up who Cushnie had dressed for past red carpets I could only find one look; La La Anthony in 2014. This is is one of the more underrated labels out there in my opinion. Carly Cushnie delivers super glamorous and sexy moments in every collection and I would love to see her dress a major star for this years red carpet. I want to see Cushnie dress Regina King for this years Met Gala in this lavender one shoulder gown which features an A-line silhouette, draped bodice, pleated panel on the skirt. Now like most runway or lookbook dresses I’ve featured in my 2020 Met Gala wishes I want to see Carly Cushnie create a custom version of this gown for Regina that takes the pleated panel and turns it into a dramatic train. The look screams glamour and I do think that getting a major star like Regina to wear the look on the Met Gala red carpet would ensure Cushnie gets the major fashion moment it deserves. Styling this look with a bold braided updo, deep purple smokey eyes, nude glossy lips, lilac glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Pattie’ peep toe platform ankle strap sandals, and a pair of major amethyst and white diamond Boucheron ‘Animeaux’ winged pendant drop earrings would finish this look beautifully for Regina.

2020 Met Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 6

Fantasy and fashion go hand and hand. High fashion has a sense of escapism built into it and I am really excited to see what the Met Gala red carpet this year will bring. But since we are now going to have to wait several months for this years gala. I am still going through with all of my wishes I would want to see on this years red carpet if the gala was to take place on the First Monday in May. Each of the five looks in this set of wishes to me speaks to this years theme of “About Time: Fashion & Duration” perfectly, but in a manner that also stays true to each of the designers whom I want to see them wearing. So that really makes me excited to see what this carpet will bring. I knew from the moment I saw this black draped silk organza Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2020 strapless cocktail dress that it would make for a PERFECT Met Gala gown. The design is definitely one of the new signatures under the leadership of Rushemy Botter & Lisi Herrebrugh, who have been at the helm of the brands for just over a year. I will say that while, like at any house, there was a bit of transition pains from one set of hands a the helm to another that the transition between hands at Nina Ricci over the last two decades has been pretty seamless. Now I don’t expect the brand to have a legion of guests with them if they take the Met Gala red carpet this year, but one strong look would definitely do the brand good. Enter Allison Williams. I feel like the former GIRLS actress is the perfect person to bring the label to life on this red carpet. I could see her wearing a customized floor length gown version of this cocktail dress. When I was thinking about styling this look I was really drawn to another new signature under the current leadership which are these bold oversized structured cloche’s and it made my mind start to wonder. Would they send the hat up the steps? Would Allison be bold enough to rock the hat on the red carpet? As these questions danced around in my head Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s popped into my head. Once that was in my mind I knew that I had to do it. Really what style has endured more than Audrey’s LBD’s in that film? So I decided to go full on with it adding the black Nina Ricci structured oversized cloche hat, a sleek bun updo underneath, defined eyes, soft blush pink lips, simple black Aquazzura ‘Purist’ sandals, a pair of white Clyde ‘Moonlight’ lambskin opera length gloves, an jewels from Mikimoto including simple white pearl and diamond stud earrings and a statement ‘Flower Lace’ akoya pearl and white diamond high jewelry necklace. It would definitely make for a superb modern classic statement on the red carpet. Danai Gurira knows how to make a major fashion moment happen on the red carpet. This is evidenced by her ability to effortless deliver an Iris Van Herpen creation on the red carpet. I have loved this white pleated gown with black piping from the Iris Van Herpen Fall 2019 Couture collection since it was first presented last July. This look is really the definition of classic glamour meets modernity and as I was picking looks I think are perfect for the Met Gala red carpet I knew that this gown just has to make it onto the Met Gala red carpet. It fits the theme perfectly. I would imagine that since Iris Van Herpen is featured in this years exhibition that at least one person will wear the label on the red carpet and Danai would definitely be the perfect person to deliver this look. A slick vintage inspired updo, smokey eyes, deep red glossy lips, a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Jamila’ crystal bow embellished ankle strap sandals, and simple Ara Vartanian rubellite and white diamond drop earrings would definitely ensure this look is Met Gala ready.Ā  Proenza Schouler usually dresses one star on the red carpet at the Met Gala. I was looking at the brands latest collection for inspiration for a custom gown for this years red carpet when I found this grey-ish brown and grey-ish green velvet Proenza Schouler Fall 2020 RTW cut-out ring dress which features long sleeves, a slim fit, ruched design, and a metal neckline detail. This dress turned into a gown could be a really chic moment. I was trying to think of who could bring this gown to life on the red carpet so I started looking at who sat front row at the brands show during New York Fashion Week. When I saw that Issa Rae had a perch at the show it just made sense. Issa knows how deliver chic moments on the red carpet and I believe that she would definitely be able to bring this look to life on the red carpet. I would love to see Issa bring this ensemble together perfectly with a sleek braided bun updo, defined eyed, burgundy lips, a dark silver metallic leather Proenza Schouler ‘ps1’ mini crossbody (the brands signature style) used as a clutch, a pair of champagne silver Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Aurelia’ PVC strap crystal heel mule sandals, and chic Mateo NY 14k goldm enamel, and pearl cascade drop earrings.I LOVE me some Dries Van Noten and I am praying to see his designs on Met Gala red carpet. If I can trust a quick Google search it seems like Dries has only ever dressed Solange Knowles for the 2011 Met Gala. One of the biggest champion of Dries has been Maggie Gyllenhaal who has worn his designs for several events over the years including the Oscars and the Toronto Film Festival. I would love to see Maggie ask Dries to customize this black and teal brocade pencil dress which features voluminous sleeves into a floor length gown. The structure reminds me a bit of classic Cristobal Balenciaga which I think would make for a perfect gown for the Met Gala red carpet especially if styled with a fingerwave updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, a pair of black satin Roger Vivier crystal buckle platform sandals, and vintage 18k gold and aquamarine Tiffany & Co. sunburst ear clips. The final wish today is for Scarlett Johansson. We saw Scarlett really get back to her best over the course of this awards season. She gave us the perfect old Hollywood glamour moment at the Oscars. Honestly that champagne silk and beaded fringe Oscar de la Renta gown would have been perfect for this years Met Gala red carpet. But instead I have opted to wish for ScarJo to bring a custom silver and black crystal beaded fashion moment to life on the red carpet inspired by the embellishments seen in the Miu Miu Fall 2020 RTW collection. I would love to see her wear an off the shoulder mermaid gown with a dramatic train, maybe some feathers could be added to the train as well to really turn this ensemble into a major classic glam old Hollywood moment for Scarlett to bring to life on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Finishing the custom look with a sleek updo, defined eyes, red lips, a pair of silver Miu Miu metallic leather crystal embellished sandals, and dazzling vintage white diamond Cartier High Jewelry drop earrings would definitely make sure Scarlett exudes nothing but glamour.

“Westworld” Season 3 LA Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

I am back with the detailed wishes. After having a really busy awards season I definitely will be getting back to talking about my picks what it is about the looks that make me pick them for stars, and then how I would style the looks. To kick that off I have three wishes for the ladies of Westworld Season 3 which is expected to premiere in LA on Thursday March 5, 2020. I am so excited to get back to major fashion. I have been taking in all of the recent runways and the looks have me really excited for what the next several months of fashion are going to bring. I feel like Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, & Tessa Thompson are all going to deliver some super FashON moments on this red carpet. Evan Rachel Wood has become the queen of the red carpet suit. There was a time when I was actively wishing for her to deliver some major gowns on the red carpet, but as I was getting ready to pick looks for this red carpet I knew immediately that I wanted to see Evan wearing this black Monse Fall 2020 RTW suit which features asymmetrical silver safety pin embellishments. The moment I saw this look come down the New York Fashion Week runaway Evan immediately came into my mind. The belted waist just makes sure this look scream strong, sexy, and powerful. While Fernando Garcia & Laura Kim (the Monse creative directors) decided to go more grunge with the hair, makeup, and styling I would want to see Evan rock the red carpet styling this look a little more glam with a sleek rockabilly inspired updo, defined eyes, bold crimson red lips, a pair of black Gianvito Rossi ‘MONTECARLO’ crystal strap pointed toe pumps, and dazzling asymmetrical white diamond Messika ‘Etoile Polaire’ cluster earrings. It would really ensure that Evan owns the red carpet at this premiere. When it comes to the red carpet Tessa Thompson is a chameleon she goes from urban to glam in the span of a blink of an eye and she does it seamlessly. It is one of the many things about her that I absolutely adore. I am very intrigued to see what she and her stylists Wayman + Micah are getting together for the red carpet premiere of season 3 of Westworld. I have been a slow burn to get on board with Daniel Lee as the new creative director at Bottega Veneta, but I did find myself drawn to his 90’s maximalist minimalism that he showed on the runway for the labels Fall 2020 RTW collection. To be completely honest I really wanted to save this red micro-sequined turtle neck loose fit long sleeve column gown for someone to wear for the Met Gala, and it will still most likely be a wish I make for the Met if no one wears it before then, but as I was looking for the perfect look for Tessa to bring to life on the red carpet at the Westworld premiere I was really drawn to this look for her. It is sleek and sexy, while being completely covered and I definitely think that Tessa could shut this look down on the red carpet. I would style this look with a large bun of braids, smokey eyes, nude lips, a pair of red Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Betty Knot’ platform ankle strap sandals, and sleek white diamond Vhernier ‘Vague’ earclips to really ensure that Tessa dominates this red carpet. Finishing out this set of wishes is the GORGEOUS Thandie Newton. When it comes to these three ladies I definitely believe that Thandie is the most consistent with constantly hitting it out of the fashion ballpark every time she steps onto a red carpet. We may not see Thandie on a lot of red carpets, but when we do it is always a majorly glam moment. So for the LA premiere of Westworld Season 3 I decided to go with a high glam look with a technological twist with this black and white intricately embroidered Iris Van Herpen Spring 2020 Couture high low tea length gown which features a high neck, cold shoulders, cap sleeves, andĀ  a trumpet silhouette. The look is definitely nothing we have seen from Thandie in the past, but I feel like she would make sure that this look is effortless and glamorous from head to toe styling the gown with a sleek low bun, defined eyes, soft nude lips, simple black Aquazzura ‘Deneuve’ strappy sandals, and a pair of classic yet dazzling vintage Suzanne Belperron Art Deco white diamond scalloped cluster stud earrings from Fred Leighton.

The Westworld Season 3 LA Premiere is expected to take place on Thursday March 5, 2020.

2020 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

Kicking off my final push to the Oscar night is a bunch of wishes I want to see brought to life on the red carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Oscar night delivers literally hundreds of looks on the red carpet between the actual ceremony red carpet and telecast as well as the seemingly endless parties that take place. Now I actually know very little about who will be on the red carpet at the Oscar parties, but I try my best to give you an idea of who we may see. To come up with the people you will see in these wishes I pull names of people who are nominated and presenting at the actual Oscar ceremony, the co-chairs of the Elton John AIDS Foundation Gala, guests who are confirmed to attend pre-Oscar events, past regular attendees, and of course people whom I love/people whom I want to see specific wearing specific looks on the red carpet. So in the 36 looks in today’s set of Oscar party wishes feature everything from cocktail looks to couture ballgowns and pretty much everything in between. I am really hoping that Oscar night is the shining beacon in an awards season where fashion has been almost lackluster.

Oscar Night 2020 is Sunday February 9, 2020.

63 Looks From Spring 2020 Couture I Want To See On The Red Carpet

I started off Paris Haute Couture Spring 2020 Fashion Week with the intention of having a post the next morning of the favorite looks I had seen the day before with who I most want to see wearing those looks. Well life got in the way. Tuesday night I saw Celine Dion and slept as long as I could before heading to work the next day. Wednesday I had to take my mother to a doctors appointment first thing in the morning and lost my little bit of weekday morning blog time. So by then I just decided well day one is already up, but I will just do a round up including all the shows with 1-4 looks from each show being featured in one big round up list. So that is what I did. As I was putting this list together I realized that this is basically a precursor to my 2020 Cannes Film Festival wishes with major looks for L’Orealistas like Sonam Kapoor, Eva Longoria, Araya A. Hargate, Aishwarya Rai, Helen Mirren, and more to bring to life on the red carpet. It can also be a prediction for you all as it comes to what my Oscar party wishes may look like. Overall this season was very good. Aside from my now perennial favorites Givenchy and Valentino there wasn’t really much of a stand out as far as an entire collection, save maybe Armani Prive, but there were a ton of really amazing moments that are just waiting to be seen on a red carpet. I hope you are ready to see more of these looks, see some of these wishes below detailed out, and more on the race to the Oscars, Met Gala, and the Cannes Film Festival. I honestly do not know which wish here is my favorite; what’s yours?

Favorite Looks From Paris Haute Couture Spring 2020 Day 1

The couture shows kicked off in Paris yesterday and I was awake at 4am Eastern Standard Time to watch the first show of the week: Schiaparelli. I was enamored with the show and honestly not as impressed with the looks from the rest of the day. There are definitely stand out looks from each of the shows, but overall not a single collection delivered amazing moments from beginning to end. I am hoping that we will see that change as the final two days go by, but I have learned to manage my expectations as I went into this week expecting the best collections ever presented.
