It has been a whirlwind this year seeing how the different major award shows adapted to still go on amidst the global pandemic. There was the hybrid virtual nominees and in person presenters presented from both coast of the United States, the fully remote Critics Choice Awards, and the scaled back yet in person Grammy Awards. Each award show so far has taken their own path with accommodating the public health orders across the country and the world. The Screen Actors Guild has decided not to do any sort of live event, which is totally different. Instead they will be airing a one hour special that will be pre-recoreded. So these wishes are really just thoughts about what I would like to see as I am sure that portions of the show have already been recorded. As we move closer to this weekends event let’s dive into the wishes I have today for looks I would love to see worn for the SAG Awards. 
Anya Taylor Joy’s performance as Beth Harmon in The Queen’s Gambit has earned her both a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award. She has done so turning back to the same label Christian Dior Couture for both shows. It would not surprise me in the least if she will not be the next face of Dior, maybe the Miss Dior fragrance. It would actually shock me if Anya wore anything other than Dior for the SAG Awards special. I’ve loved this white and black sequined silk tulle Christian Dior Fall 2020 Couture spaghetti strap tea length ballgown since I first saw it. It was presented as a miniature collection on doll sized mannequins, but I would love to see the Dior ateliers take this miniature and create the full version for Anya. It is glamorous and sophisticated with a little bit of sex appeal. The vintage inspired nature of this gown blends together the iconic style sensibilities of both Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. To really make this look perfection I would style it with a sleek rose inspired updo, defined eyes, bold red lips, a pair of white satin Aquazzura ‘Celeste 105’ strappy crystal embellished sandals, and a selection of Bulgari jewels including simple white diamond and emerald drop earrings and a delicate white diamond ‘Wings of Rome’ feather inspired necklace. It would be DRAMA and GLAMOUR defined. 
Cynthia Erivo has shown up for the Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and Grammy Awards this year and has served a MAJOR look at each. For the Globes she wore a neon green Valentino Couture neoprene tea length gown, custom lace and tulle Vera Wang for the Critics Choice Awards, and then a gorgeous silver and gold sequin and bead embellished custom Louis Vuitton gown for the Grammy’s. Each look she’s served could easily be a Best Dressed of the Year contender and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next when she is a presenter at the SAG Awards this weekend. I would love to see Cynthia go for bold dazzle wearing this black and silver Elie Saab Spring 2021 Couture one sleeve sheer ballgown which features a 3D feather inspired feather detail on the neckline and a zebra inspired pattern. I feel like this moment is a major statement moment and Cynthia would definitely be able to sell it to me with ease. Now with this gown I would LOVE to see Cynthia style this gown with her signature bleached buzz cut, thick defined eyes, deep red glossy lips, black Roger Vivier ‘Mini Broche Vivier Buckle’ peep toe platform ankle strap sandals with a chunky clear crystal embellished plexi heel, a Maria Tash ‘Apsara Clicker’ white diamond septum ring, and a selection of MAJOR Djula jewels including a pair of white diamond cluster fan earrings, a single ear with top and side white diamond ear cuffs, and a selection of white diamond rings strewn about all her fingers to really make this another major fashion moment from the powerhouse. 
Dan Levy has also served up LOOKS this awards season. He’s strayed away from the typical menswear looks wearing canary yellow Valentino Couture wool and sequins for the Globes and victorian military inspired Dior Men for the Critics Choice Awards and each one is a Best Dressed of the Year worthy ensemble. I am expecting him to take home an Actor trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Comedy Series this weekend and I want to see him do so in high style. I turned back to Valentino picking this very classic cut black Valentino Fall 2021 RTW tuxedo that was styled with a see through sequin mesh turtleneck on the runway. Now I don’t know if Dan is exactly the see through mesh on no undershirt kind of guy, and I am leaning towards no. So I’ve been wondering what I would like to see. Part of me want’s to see Valentino create a custom black liquid sequin top to layer under it or just go with a classic white t-shirt. Both would be cool moments and I am leaning towards the white t-shirt. His black thick rimmed glasses, the runways black leather boots, and a statement vintage white diamond Harry Winston flower brooch would make this a MAJOR menswear moment for Dan to bring to this “red carpet.”
Lily Collins is presenting at this years SAG Awards after helping announce this years nominees. It will be the first time Lily is partaking in a SAG Awards ceremony and I want to se her doing so in flirtatious glamour. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the bohemian glam custom Saint Laurent gown that Lily wore for the Golden Globe Awards. I know she has so much more in her. I would love to see her deliver this black and blush pink ombre asymmetrical Alexander McQueen Resort 2021 a-line cocktail length gown with an asymmetrical neck and a bow detail on the hip. It screams feminine glamour and that is what I feel like Lily serves up the best on the red carpet. While for most red carpets in and out of lockdown I don’t prefer gowns that don’t reach the floor I feel like the SAG Awards that a cocktail length gown is appropriate, especially for a presenter. I feel like with a sleek romantic updo, defined eyes, bold lips using Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick Drama Matte in Rose Lancôme, blush pink Alexander McQueen crystal ankle strap sandals, and a pair of Anabela Chan ‘Diamond Supernova’ white diamond, white sapphire, and ivory pearl chandelier earrings would make sure this look is flirty and glamorous from head to toe. 
Maria Bakalova was one of the new faces among the list of nominees this year and it turns out she is quite the fashionista. She has rocked some major glam moments during awards season so far with a raspberry red crystal embellished tulle Armani Prive ballgown and a black velvet Prada gown with a crystal tassel bow and I cannot wait to see what else lies in store for her over the course of awards season. I feel like custom is in her sights for the SAG Awards. Maybe Gucci or Dior. I wasn’t totally thrilled or inspired with anything that I saw, except for this white Marchesa Spring 2021 RTW orchid purple and grey hand painted floral print ball gown which features a statement crystal embellished halter neckline, open back, a-line skirt, and a sweeping train. I don’t know if Maria would wear Marchesa, but her stylist Jessica Paster would option the brand for other clients so I decided to throw caution to the wind and pick this gorgeous gown for Maria. While Marchesa still has the tainted stain of the Harvey Weinstein scandal on it I think that this moment on Maria would be perfect especially if styled with a sleek side parted updo, defined eyes, soft pink lips, silver crystal embellished Giuseppe Zanotti wrap-around ankle strap sandals, and a pair of sleek and glamorous Graziela Gems ‘Navete’ white diamond wreath hoop earrings.

Billie Eilish has always had a very interesting sense of style. Last awards season she rocked Chanel, Gucci, and Burberry track suit style looks for all the red carpets she walked. I don’t want to change her, so when I was looking for something for the singer who is nominated for 4 Grammy’s including Record of the Year and Song of the Year and is also performing at this years show I turned to the Valentino Spring 2021 Couture collection. I was thinking about all the cool boxier cut and layered looks from the collection and knew that I would find a great moment for Billie to wear on this red carpet and I found it in this look which features a gold embossed brocade cocoon cape inspired sleeveless hoodie (A COUTURE HOODIE), a sleeveless light but turtleneck, sand colored pleated front trousers, and matching elbow gloves. This moment is definitely the most Billie look that was show in this collection and I really want to see her rock it for the Grammy’s red carpet. According to her Instagram Billie is still rocking that horrible acid green roots thing. I don’t think that would work with this look though. Instead I would like to see Billie give us more of something like an deep ink blue instead. To finish the look I would style the moment with defined eyes, nude pink lips, and a pair of 
Cynthia Erivo is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for her song “Stand Up” from Harriet. She is a consummate fashionista and so I know that had this been a regular year that she would have shown up on the Grammy’s red carpet serving a major look like she was one of the top nominated artists of the night. The fact that she is also be a part of this years post Grammy special “A Salute to the Sound of Change” would have also boded well for her being on the Grammy’s red carpet. I was going to start looking through my archives of couture runways for Cynthia, but then I saw this gold 
Harry Style is nominated for Best Solo Pop Performance, Best Pop Album, and Best Music Video at this years Grammy Awards and I am super disappointed that the regular red carpet isn’t going to happen. Harry has been one of my men to watch on the red carpet because he isn’t afraid to blur the gender lines on the red carpet. Now that being said Harry is still performing at this years show and I hope he serves up some cool looks. I have two looks for Harry one for the red carpet and one for a performance. The red carpet look I’ve picked for Harry is a powder blue Gucci Spring 2017 Menswear shawl lapel tailcoat tuxedo which I would style a little differently than it was on the runway I would ditch the tangerine short wide tie and change the shirt. Instead I would style the look with a classic pleated tuxedo shirt, the cummerbund front he runway, a pair of 
Jhene Aiko will host the Grammy Premiere ceremony, which is the party of the show that isn’t televised where they hand out all kinds of awards. In addition to that she is nominated for 3 Grammy’s herself this year including Album of the Year, Best Progressive R&B Album, & Best R&B Performance. So I am really hoping to see her deliver a superb moment on the red carpet. I went for sexy glamour inspired by Grace Jones with this black/gold sequin Rami Al Ali Spring 2021 Couture draped hooded wrap style gown with a major split in the front. I love this super glam moment and I feel like it would just ooze sexy and edgy glam, especially with tight cornrow braids, perfectly laid curled edges, defined eyes, nude glossy lips, a pair of 
The last two wishes for today are for Travis Scott & Kylie Jenner. I would have loved to see the on again off again couple back on the Grammy’s red carpet together. But since he is just nominated for one Grammy this year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, I doubt we will see either of them on the red carpet either in person or virtually. If they do I would love to see them rock superb complimentary moments starting with an industrial grey Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2021 utilitarian inspired double breasted suit with a light grey turtleneck (a menswear trend this awards season), and a red silk flower boutonniere for Travis styled with a pair of 
Kicking things off today is this years most nominated artist Beyonce who has 9 nominations thanks to her Black is King visual album including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Despite all of those nominations she is not one of the performers this year and I highly doubt we will see her get all dressed up for any sort of live acceptance speech should she win any of those 9 awards. When I was picking looks for the Grammy’s back before they postponed their date I picked this major glamour look which features a sheer Ese Azenabor Couture column gown which features long sleeves, intricate beading, and a plunging neckline which I wanted to style with the major black and white fur stole from the Georges Hobeika Fall 2020 Couture collection. I had so many ideas for what to pick for Dua Lipa to wear for the Grammy Awards. I was originally going to go down the route of vintage Thierry Mugler Couture, but then Kim Jones made his debut as the creative director at Fendi. The moment I saw this ivory sheer pearl embellished caped column gown with a halterneck bodysuit and a dramatic train it spoke to me. It was a really cool moment that gives me regal vibes as well as rock and roll glamour. I went through all sorts of ideas when I was thinking about what the perfect look would be for Megan I went through a couple of ideas, but I thought about going the custom route going off the rack and picking this
Finishing off today is the beautiful Taylor Swift who is nominated for six Grammy’s and will be performing this weekend so I am really excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet. Despite multiple nominations since Taylor hasn’t attended a Grammy’s ceremony since 2016 when she won several for her album 1989. So I am really interested to see what she will bring this year. When she dropped Folklore and Evermore last year Taylor seemed to ignite the Cottagecore trend, and a refound love of cardigans. I’ve wanted to see what this would bring in terms of red carpet style, but Taylor has skipped pretty much all of the music awards shows during the pandemic. When I was thinking of something that I feel would fit the vibe of her recent albums, but still give us red carpet I was having a hard time coming up with the right pick. Then I watched the Valentino Spring 2021 Couture show and I immediately fell in love with this light grey slip style gown with a dramatic train paired with a copper brown knit sweater vest that was worn asymmetrically on the runway and I would keep it that way for Swiftie. Finishing out the look with a soft romantic updo, defined eyes, her signature bold red lips, 
History has already been made at the 2021 Golden Globes just thanks to the nominees in the Best Director category. This year a record 3 women are nominated and two of them are women of color. Chloe Zhao is one of them. She has been lauded since the film made its debut in Venice where it won 3 awards including the Best Picture award. So I am definitely keeping my eyes on her as one to watch this awards season. As I was looking at her past red carpet appearances it seems like Chloe avoids black tie events and really just rocks very comfy and casual looks for photo lines. It makes sense she is more behind the scenes thank in front of the camera glam. But with a possible run to Oscar gold ahead of her I have some superb options in mind to push her through awards season this year starting with this color blocked gold, gunmetal, and bronze sequin Tom Ford Spring 2015 RTW long sleeve column gown. It is definitely going to push Chloe’s comfort zone, but I do think it would be a really cool and glamorous moment for the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. I wouldn’t push the boundaries with the styling keeping with her regular barely there makeup, wash and go hair, 
I would say that this awards season has to be exactly what Frances McDormand dreams of. Even when she made the winning awards season run for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri she never made an actual appearance on any of the red carpets including the Oscars. In fact the only red carpet I feel like she’s actually stopped to pose for in recent years is when she was a guest of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s at the 2018 Met Gala. I wouldn’t expect her to doll up if she is joining the broadcast from home, but hey I can dream right? For formal occasions she has exclusively worn Valentino, mostly customized RTW looks. Elle Fanning earned her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy thanks to her role as Catherine the Great. Regular readers will know that I always LOVE to see Elle Fanning on a red carpet and I am praying that she will go all out for her first Globes nomination even if she does join the telecast remotely. I would love to see Elle give us princess glamour wearing this seafoam green Armani Prive Spring 2021 Couture strapless ballgown with pink and blue floral hand painted and beaded detail from neckline to hem. Nicholas Hoult is a man that can give very chic menswear moments. So I would absolutely love to see him give a superb moment at the Golden Globe Awards where he has also earned his first nomination. I would love to see Nicholas, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, wearing this black Louis Vuitton Resort 2021 menswear tuxedo which features the signature LV monogram flowers embroidered on it. Last up today is an emerging star who is quickly becoming one of the best Chanel ambassadors. It was in the lead up to the Emmy’s we first saw Shira Haas wearing some Chanel looks for virtual appearances to promote Unorthodox. Then she was one of the few in a couture gown for the Emmy’s. All of these looks came courtesy of Chanel. So I have a hard time believing that she would be wearing anything other than Chanel for this years Golden Globe Awards. I was looking at the collections and thought that this sand tulle Chanel Spring 2021 Couture sleeveless gown with features a drop waist, slight v-neck, knotted top, and a beaded macrame bodice. It is chic and bohemian and honestly something that is more Maria Grazia’s Dior than Chanel, but I absolutely think it would be perfect for Shira to wear for the Golden Globes. Emma Corrin is my favorite to take home the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama trophy. I was enamored by her portrayal of Princess Diana in the fourth season of the anthology series. I am actually very disappointed that will be all she will get as she is being replaced (as is the whole cast) in the shows final two seasons. When it comes to fashion Gillian is always one to deliver glamour on the red carpet. I went through several ideas of what I thought I wanted to see from Gillian on this red carpet, but it was ultimately a deep azurite blue Safiyaa Fall 2020 RTW column gown which features an asymmetrical bodice and a crystal embellished cape detail that I thought would be the perfect moment. Josh O’Connor is one of the men this awards season I am interested in seeing bring a new and interesting moment to life on the red carpets of awards season. I feel like the title of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama is Josh’s to loose and to accept the Globe I would love to see him serve a LOOK. The moment I saw this black Fendi Spring 2021 Couture asymmetrical buttoned up tuxedo with a ring detail on the jacket, cutout details on the cuffs of the sleeves, a white fishnet lace cuff detail, and trousers with a side split I saw it on Josh. It is a fun and fashiony take on the classic tuxedo and I know that Josh has the presence and carriage to bring this look to life. The details in this look are special enough that I wouldn’t add much to it except for a pair of 
Olivia Colman has worn Stella McCartney and Emilia Wickstead on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet the last two years. While I did like the Stella gown well enough the Wickstead last year was horrendous. I know she has some major potential and I want to see her live up to it. As I planned these wishes I thought a lot about re-wearing and to be honest there aren’t many looks that Olivia ha worn that I would actually like to see her bring back to the red carpet. But there was a red Antonio Berardi cap sleeve asymmetric column gown with a small train that Olivia wore for the 2018 Venice Film Festival award ceremony (pictured left) that I could see her bringing back out. Now I still would love to see Olivia bring a glamorous and new moment to the red carpet for the 2021 Golden Globe Awards and so I turned to this

She has been serving up some superb looks while in lockdown and I really want to see her bring a BOLD glamour look for the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. So of course couture had to be my choice. I picked this bold neon yellow strapless ballgown from the Ashi Studio Spring 2021 Couture collection. On first glance this ballgown is all about the color and is a very simplistic look, but from behind it is a bow strap detailed open back. Now it is a big dress and could overwhelm Lily’s petite figure, but I believe that with the right tailoring and styling it would be perfection. Amanda Seyfried earned her first Golden Globe Award nomination this year for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture thanks to her performance in Mank. I have always loved seeing Amanda on the red carpet and I would love to see her bring the glamour and drama to the red carpet be it in person or remote. I adore this rose pink Elie Saab Fall 2020 Couture one shoulder draped gown which features a dramatic rosette shoulder detail, cape sash, belted waist, and a thigh high split. It is a very feminine approach to dramatic glamour and I know it would be something that Amanda would definitely be drawn to. Her role as polarizing conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly in Mrs. America has earned Cate Blanchett her 11th Golden Globe nomination. In the last year Cate has really put forward in her initiative to wear and rewear items in her closet. We saw this on display most recently when Cate rewore looks from Armani, Esteban Cortezar, and Alexander McQueen during her times as the jury president at the 2020 Venice Film Festival. I wonder if that will be the case should we see her take part in this years Golden Globe Awards telecast. If she does I would absolutely adore seeing Cate pull out the black velvet Armani Prive gown with white ostrich feather cape that she first wore to the 2018 Venice Film Festival premiere of A Star Is Born. I have always felt that gown is the epitome of classic glamour and Cate would definitely be able to sell it to me again. Now If she chose to wear something we haven’t seen her wear I still went into the archives to pick a “vintage” gown for her with this black crepe and velvet long sleeve column gown from the Armani Prive Fall 2008 Couture collection which features a plunging neckline, crystal embellishment at the hip, and a faux wrap style. This gown isn’t statement making, but is another fine example of incredible classic glamour. Since 1962 Jane Fonda has been nominated for 15 Golden Globe Awards and has won seven. This year the icon will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award. This award is given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Associations Board of Governors for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment”. We can definitely say that Jane has done that from her role in Barbarella to Grace and Frankie. She has been a force on the screen for almost sixty years. I am very interested in what Jane may wear for this occasion. She made a big deal last year at the Oscars re-wearing a ruby red crystal embellished Elie Saab Couture gown first worn in Cannes with a coat that she touted as the last piece of clothing she would ever buy. So I would imagine that Jane will most likely bring something out of her closet to accept this years award. When I was looking at what Jane has worn on red carpets in recent years I thought it would be perfect for her to accept this years DeMille award wearing this electric blue customized Atelier Versace long sleeve fit to flare dress with an asymmetrical neckline, nude illusion cutout details, and a sweeping train (seen above left) that she first wore to the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. One Night in Miami star Leslie Odom Jr. is one of my men to watch this awards season. While promoting the film from home we have seen him wearing classic menswear looks with a twist from labels like Etro and Moschino. So I am very much intrigued to see what the actor who earned his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture thanks to his portrayal of Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami will wear for December. So I was looking for a cool look and fell in love with the idea of Leslie wearing this navy blue textured two button Dzojchen Spring 2021 tuxedo. I love the simple twist on the classic cut and feel like it would definitely be a great choice for him. Now I go back and forth if I want to see Leslie wear the matching trousers with this look for the Globes. I am leaning towards no and going a little more classic with custom solid navy tuxedo trousers with the satin stripe down the side finishing the look with a crisp white shirt, navy satin bow tie, a pair of 
Regina King is once again nominated for a Golden Globe this year after winning two years ago. This year she is nominated for Best Director for her feature film directorial debut One Night In Miami. We’ve already had a major red carpet at the Venice Film Festival stolen from us. She is very much in contention to take home this trophy so I would definitely want to see Regina give us a major glamour moment. I found that in this orchid purple Antonio Grimaldi Spring 2021 Couture on shoulder gown which features a single blouson sleeve, defined waist, column git, and a sweeping train. I adore when Regina gives us bold color moments and I can just imagine this gown being a major moment on her. This gown would hug all of Regina’s curves. I think the best case and point in looks being made for the runway inspired by a star I think is this fugly Louis Vuitton Spring 2021 RTW ensemble which features an oversized polo with a leather top and a diagonal striped bottom paired with a neon pop art wide leg shorts which I definitely think was made with Billie Eilish in mind. I hate the look because it isn’t my style at all, but I do think it is something that Billie would rock the look on a red carpet and American Music Awards is perfect. I am always excited to see what Katy will bring to the red carpet and this is no different. I always love seeing what Katy will wear. We don’t know what it is she will be performing yet, I’m hearing it’s a debut single, but I am really excited to see what she will bring to life on this red carpet. Rounding out today’s wishes is a soft glamour moment for Taylor Swift whom is nominated for 4 AMA’s including Artist of the Year. It is also rumored that she will be performing, but as of yet this hasn’t been confirmed. With her “Folklore” era having come completely during the COVID lockdown I’m still on the pastel lightness she was drawn to during the “Lover” era. Enter this soft lilac Valentino Spring 2021 RTW ruffled silk chiffon gown which features a blouson silhouette, ruffled trim, round neck, balloon sleeves, nude bodysuit, and a small train. It is a very fashion-y choice for Taylor whom has never worn Valentino before, but I feel like this gown would be a super chic moment for her to wear at the American Music Awards especially if it was styled with a romantic updo, soft silver smokey eyes, bold hot pink lips,
